Crensler

Sorry for the double post, but here it is.  I hope it meets with approval ^^

Name: Kaoru Ushijima/Asariel

Age: 25/3000-ish

Race: Human/Demon

Sexual Orientation: Bi/Yes

Disciple Type: War (Formerly Lust)

Disciple Skill: Live By The Sword - Ever since Asariel was transformed into a demonic sword it became the focus of her being.  She used to have abilities focused on corrupting humans or swaying other demons to her side, given she was a demon of Lust and all, but now her powers have been channeled into more combat oriented ones, including several interesting techniques.

Life Drain is a carryover from her time as a corporeal Lust demon, translating from potentially killing mortals during sex to draining the vitality of her foes with every strike, healing her host body by roughly half as much as she hurt her opponent.

God-Cutter is a pretentiously named technique where Asariel pours demonic power into the edge of her blade and unleashes it in a high-density arc of energy that she can either use to enhance a physical blow or to launch it at distant foes with surprising speed.

The True Self is a technique that can transform her host body, temporarily, into a shape that resembles her old demonic form, increasing its speed, strength, and energy output enough that she can rival some of the more powerful demons around... for about a minute.  Still, a lot of damage can be done in even such a relatively short amount of time.

Height: 5'8

Weight: 125lb

Appearance: Asariel's true appearance is that of her demonic sword, the vessel in which her essence has been stored ever since she was forged into it.  Her host body is a young woman of Japanese descent, the poor researcher who didn't realize just what she was studying until it was too late.  Kaoru, the previously mentioned young woman, possesses a lithe, aesthetically pleasing form, kept in shape despite her long hours spent in a lab.  When Kaoru is in the driver's seat she has raven black hair and hazel eyes, but when Asariel is in control her appearance shifts quite a bit.  Her hair and eye colors change, a teal color that fades towards grey at the tips and golden yellow with black sclera respectively, while she also gains a bit more muscle tone and tattoo sleeves on both arms that may have something to do with her bond with her host.  Of course, that last is just speculation on Kaoru's part, but you never know.

Personality: Kaoru is an intelligent, if overly curious, young woman, with a passion for learning new things that often overrides her common sense.  Normally this is tempered by colleagues being on hand to help keep her out of trouble, but it has gotten her results in the past due to her studious nature when it comes to conducting research.  She's not overly focused on work, either, with an equal passion for having fun and romantic/sexual entanglements, which is probably what helped her synergize so well with her current "roommate".  Asariel can be cruel and sadistic in her pursuit of power, as well as scarily determined at times.  Her love of intercourse, now that she has a host again, has been rekindled, but she has developed a taste for battle that she simply cannot deny.  It doesn't help that she feeds off of the life essence of her foes with every cut she inflicts, giving her a rush that is only rivaled by great sex, and if her rage is kindled?  Be elsewhere.  If her cold cruelty frightens you, then her anger is terrifying when fully unleashed.  Combined with the thrill of sipping the life of her enemies, this battle lust can be hard to put out once it truly gets going, unless you can direct her energy towards... other things.

History: Kaoru Ushijima was born in Kyōtanabe, Kyoto, to two relatively normal parents, and possesses one, only mildly annoying, younger brother.  She grew up a little isolated from her peers, often a little sickly, and spent more time indoors than most children would care for.  As a result she turned to more cerebral pursuits earlier than said peers, reading first the books appropriate for her age bracket that her parents bought her, then moving on to more complex choices.  She wasn't reading at a college level at a startlingly young age, or anything, but she was a fairly clever child all the same.  This love of reading turned into a love of learning once she was healthy enough to attend public schools, and she again set herself a step above her fellows with both her eagerness and her studiousness.  She ate up new knowledge like she does her favorite sweets, as in any within reach, and graduated with honors from KIU Academy.  Her academic career brought her next to Kyoto University, where she majored in Metaphysical Science and minored in Demonology.  As one might expect, her talent had her scouted by SOPHE, who brought her first on as a lab assistant until she cut her teeth and full researcher once she had proved herself.  This is where her story took a turn for the worst, unfortunately.

Kaoru had always been overly curious, and that helped when it came to research, but it landed her in a terrible situation one night after objects were brought back from a raid on some cult hideout or other.  Most of the items were rubbish, things the fools who belonged to the cult thought were demonic in nature but were simply occult knick-knacks.  One, however, turned out to be more than she had bargained for.  It had at first appeared to simply be some wall hanger, a fancy looking, but ultimately worthless, display weapon, but it was, in fact, the genuine article; the demonic sword Asariel.  Once a powerful demon of lust with her own domain within the demon realms, Asariel was one day outmaneuvered by a group of her enemies, of which she had many, the group capturing and torturing her for their many humiliations at her hands.  When they could not break her through physical means, they turned to magical ones, tormenting her spirit with the vilest spells one could ever imagine.  One day, after passing out after such a session, Asariel awoke to find herself unable to move, unable to speak, unable to do anything other than observe the world around her as her fate was revealed.  Never again would she be able to play the games of power and conquest.  Never again would she ever know the pleasures she once so enjoyed.  Never again would she ever know peace, for she now had no mouth and yet felt the overwhelming desire to scream.

She had no idea how long she existed like that, only that she eventually felt a presence that wasn't one of her tormentors.  A human woman, poking at her with strange devices, and the crafty former succubus saw her chance.  She called to the human, lured it into picking her up with its bare hands, and immediately struck!  She invaded the human's body, overpowering its mind and claiming the vessel for her own... or so she'd planned to.  Kaoru proved a little more stubborn than the, admittedly still groggy, demon had bargained for, but still she managed to wrestle control from the human despite Kaoru's lingering presence.  Access to Kaoru's memories allowed Asariel to catch up on what she missed, which was quite a lot, and enabled her to escape from SOPHE HQ and flee into the urban landscape in search of somewhere to hide while she plotted her revenge.  She was eventually discovered by members of Void, who saw her still considerable strength as useful.  She was given an offer; serve Void and they would help her find the demons who trapped her in that sword.  Asariel, with no other real options, agreed... for now.  Perhaps one day she will find a way to escape the sword's grasp on her essence.  Maybe she can even take up some power for herself from this Void organization.  Kaoru, meanwhile, is both prisoner and reluctant researcher for Void, under pain of... well, pain.  She's tried to escape before, but Asariel has stopped her every time.  Maybe one day she'll manage it.  Only time will tell.

Likes: Kaoru - Good books, new subjects to research, sex, candy, video games, trying strange new combinations of ice cream flavors, and a good old fashioned romantic seduction.

Asariel - Sex, fighting, scheming, candle-lit dinners, fresh air, gossip, and romantic comedies.  Just don't tell anyone about that last one.  She has a reputation to uphold.

Dislikes: Kaoru - Willful ignorance, fearmongering, bullies, imprisonment, small, cramped spaces, and the defacing/destroying of books.

Asariel - Total pacifists (i.e. cowards), small fish that think they're big fish, hypocrisy, loss of control, cruelty without purpose, and people who try to tell you what you can or cannot do with your own life.

Skills: Kaoru - Metaphysical science, demonology, knowledge of a wide variety of occult subjects, some computer science skills, enough self-defense training in order to not worry about getting mugged, and a bit about magic, though so far she can't cast any spells.

Asariel - the ability to sense killing intent, heightened spatial awareness, pretty dang good hand-eye coordination, excellent reflexes, a decent mastery of swordsmanship, and a good grasp of strategy and tactics.

Talents: Kaoru - speed reading, video gaming, posting shitty fanfiction, solitaire, using a Bunsen burner to cook with, and juggling.  She picked that last one up while in captivity with Void, because god is staring at four walls for hours is boring as hell.

Asariel - singing, dancing, especially erotically, seduction, manipulating others, both for fun and profit, and watching crappy romantic comedies because gods above and below humans are just so silly sometimes.  She is, of course, open to broadening her horizons, because after being stuck in a sword for who knows how long, you miss out on a lot.

Extra:

Affiliation: Void (Formerly SOPHE)

Role: Prisoner/Researcher/Soldier

Title: Human Bitch/Freak

Demon Rank: C-/B/A (depending on current form)

Strengths:
Supernatural Attributes - Asariel grants her host increased strength, endurance, and speed that rivals some mid-tier demons, and when she's fully in control these factors more than double in effectiveness.  Her transformation ability takes this even further, putting her on the level of some of the most powerful demons in existence.  For approximately sixty seconds.  Still, not bad, right?

Call the Blade - Asariel's true form can never be fully separated from her host, the demon able to summon it back to her hand with just a thought.  Even if it's in another location entirely and she doesn't know where, she can simply make it appear in her grasp.

Versatility - Asariel and Kaoru have a truly impressive collection of knowledge and skills between the two of them, and if they were ever to truly cooperate, this combination could be a horrifying prospect for anyone that pisses them off.

Weaknesses:
Combative Coexistence - Asariel and Kaoru don't see eye to eye on much of anything and they're almost always fighting each other for control of their now shared body.  This can make things... awkward sometimes, especially if one or the other is in the middle of trying to do something.  Kaoru has sabotaged Asariel on several occasions out of pure spite, and the demon has done the same to her in return.  If it were to happen at a critical moment, like in the middle of a fight, it could prove disastrous for the both of them.

Demonic Prejudice - Due to their... unique condition, the not-so-dynamic duo have been on the receiving end of some serious prejudice from the demons of Void.  Kaoru, being a human, is obvious, but Asariel is treated very much like a second class citizen and is often called a freak because of what she is.  This isn't universal for the demon, mind you, but it comes up often enough to be both an annoyance and a hindrance under certain circumstances, like when she tries to contribute to a plan and no one listens to her because "how could that freak possibly know anything".

Battle Lust - Thanks to her unique nature as a demonic weapon that can suck the life force out of others during combat, Asariel has developed a bit of a problem.  She's steadily becoming addicted to it.  Combined with how her mindset has changed due to her nature as a weapon, and she can enter a berserker state that is highly dangerous both to others and to herself.  She'll often lose the ability to differentiate between friend and foe, along with any regard for her own safety.  Against opponents of equal/lesser power, it's not much of an issue, but if a more powerful, or cunning, foe were to face her when she's like this... well, it could very well prove to be the end of her current host.
