Aw man, poi performers are the coolest! I’m glad you like the Living Dead Girl character concept, but we presently do have a writer who’s reserved the position.
I’ll have everything updated once I’m back home and not lurking on my phone. 😂

Did I mention that I spin fire poi as a hobby?  Not my character. Me.

I was actually considering making the Seer blind, and I figured the character is likely a psychic :-/

Being a sucker for the unusual and multifaceted, I’m all for this idea Kuro!

Hmm considering a witch, she is a carnie. Sells her potions and services to those that visit the carnival. But really is the carnival's doctor.

I had an idea for a lamia/snake shifter type as well. But I can easily back burner that since it's already been suggested.

Both ideas are quite fascinating, can’t wait to see which one you settle with!

No kidding? That’s insanely cool. I’ve always wanted to learn but I have the grace of a drunken fat house Cat and fear I may set myself on fire. -giggles-

The Out of Character thread is now available for all approved writers, you may direct your chatting accordingly! 😊

Sounds like a plan, then. I think I've finally found a faceclaim that will work as well, which was necessary before writing the sheet to know which of the ideas I was going to follow ;-)

It’s actually easier than you think. If you can skip, you can spin.  I started with tennis balls in socks. My other half stood there laughing when I squared myself.  Having two tennis balls connect over your head and change direction so they are both heading south is not something I will forget.

Nyx, can I reserve a contortionist and the face claim Alina Phillips, please?

Edit:  Can I make my character a combination of a contortionist and tight-rope walker, Nyx?  Sort of a dual act?  I'm going with a feline-esque vibe with her and that fits with both roles.  Plus, it would be cool to have her contorting up on the high wire.

Miss Nyx

Done and done! Considering the angle, I’ll allow it, your pitch definitely piqued my interest. Can’t wait to see what you come up with. :]

Bibliophilia

Sent her in!  Sorry for not putting a subject.  Totally spaced and hit send before remembering it needed that.

Say Nyx, would you be opposed to a combination Daredevil/Sword artist? It felt like the two could potentially go hand in hand, but I thought I might ask first.

The Reserves have been updated and everyone who’s sent in a sheet has been reviewed, I must say... fantastic characters you all are creating! :D

The correlation is great, this concept is approved. Man I was so hoping someone would scoop up the Daredevil, I can’t wait to see what you come up with! ;D

Deflecting knives while blind folded with swords... can we add fire in there somehow? Because yes.

Miss Nyx

I hit a deer this morning on my way home from work... that poor, poor deer! :'( Ugh! I’m grateful to be uninjured and my car isn’t too bad off, albeit I now have a fresh layer of stress to my schedule so do bear with me guys if I’m a bit slow for the remainder of the week.

I believe I’ve gotten to all the latest CSes sent in, but if I happened to overlook anyone just let me know! It may be safe to say we have a weeeee bit of a gender imbalance, we could surely use more gentlemen if anyone happens to be considering!

Bibliophilia

Oh no!  -hugs.-  I can imagine that was terrifying and then upsetting afterward.  I'm glad you're okay and it didn't total your vehicle, though.

I'm considering making a male character, too.  Just mulling it over.

Totoro

Schedule permitting I might be able to make a male character of some kind.

Other than that 4/5 of the other minds in Ada's brain are male so she does switch around a little at least.

Bibliophilia

I'm currently working on a ghost-type character with the face claim Ezra Miller.

Currently derailed by getting all my course planning done for the start of the semester on Monday, so I'm also behind :-/

Miss Nyx

I’m surely counting the fortune involving the accident, but yeah, definitely threw a monkey wrench in my flow of things. All the same replacing one messed up headlight is much less stress than an entire car, so I shall not complain.

I’ve cleared the latest CSes sent, and if you’re still working on a sheet, do take your time. I don’t yet have a projected date of when we’ll be starting off, so there’s no rush as of now. I would like to aim to begin in the next week if everything goes smoothly. 😉

Ooo I always wanted to do a dark circus type thing.

Still actively recruiting if you can come up with a concept, join us!

Miss Nyx

I’ve made some updates to the Reserves, and I’ll be working on the In Character boards over the next few days. Our roster is relatively full at this point but I welcome anyone interested in joining us!

A few ideas I would personally love to see:

- An animal trainer/tamer who can talk to animals.
- A serpent shifter or naga.
- Lycans.
- A sharpshooter/gunslinger.
- Gifted humans or human-passing Spectators drawn to the Circus, and possibly acting as new recruits!
- Expendable characters willing to be sacrificed for the delight of in game deviance.
- Law enforcement spectators or monster hunters interested in the nefarious inner working of the Circus.
