Guilty or Not Guilty II

HARD Guilty. I love to read, and I have a TBR list longer than I am tall. Probably more than twice my height, actually lol, and I have a kindle unlimited subscription. Honestly, I'm such an introvert, I would probably do okay without the books *shame*

TNP is getting a head start on the holiday weekend

Not guilty. It must be a national holiday, because I didn't even know there was a holiday this weekend. 

TNP lives in North America.

Guilty. Pacific Northwest for the win! Rains here more than it does in Seattle, qualifies as living in Temperate Rainforest. Mushrooms are many and varied, ranging from very, very edible to very, very deadly.

TNP has been to the beach at least once this year.

Not guilty. I haven't been to the beach in... *counts on her fingers* ...twenty-two years. 

TNP took paid lessons to learn how to swim.

Guilty, back in ancient days I took swimming lessons a couple of times a week as I recall. Parents paid for it of course, because I was like... six years old or so.

TNP has a phrase they feel they overuse in writing.

Hmmm, cannot remember any such thing.
Perhaps because English is my second language, it stands out to me when I do that.

The next person has planned at least 3 things they want to do over the summer

Hmmm.... 3? Not Guilty. At least, for the time. There has only been 2 things on my mind to do generally this summer. Get another tattoo and or adopt a pet.... I would love a vacation but at the same time.... anywhere in the summer these days is just so hot... so I doubt I will actually follow through or plan such a thing. I shall wait for autumn patiently.... hoping that we don't all burn alive before then!

The next person has uncontrollable hips that constantly want to be in motion, doing little dances everywhere they go even when they are sitting or laying down.

Guilty. Those hips don't lie (and they keep sciatica at bay, too).

TNP has bought a second item without needing to replace the first one, just because it looked cool.

Guilty, but if I only need one thing, I usually wait until I need another before doing a shopping trip. 

TNP licked someone in the last three months.

If that makes me guilty, then I don't want to be innocent. I did it - consensually, of course - and I'll do it again too! 

The next person is enjoying their weekend with a stiff drink.

Not guilty. I don't drink. Not that I don't sometimes think about it, or even remember it fondly. I just know it's not something I can do any more. 161 days sober today.

TNP plans to do some video/PC gaming (even Visual Novels count) this weekend.

Congratulations! That's a big milestone. And I'm sure that staying properly hydrated has helped with your vocal coaching, especially with the raspy tones of supervillains. Speaking of giving up habits, I sadly have to declare myself not guilty too. My favourite video games are single-player, story-based ones and I reached a point with work where keeping it up became too time-consuming. I'm also a console peasant, so it became too expensive to keep up the more time passed. 

The next person is treating themselves to something nice and they deserve it.

Guilty. I made myself some shrimp scampi just now. I had a rough week searching for apartments; it's starting to become time critical, and consequently stressful, and I just deserved a little bit of luxury.

TNP has played a board or card game (with a physical board or cards) in the past week.

Guilty-ish. I gave my new Lenormand deck a trial run, to see if we click. Jury's still out.

TNP has been, or expects to be at some point, a pallbearer at a funeral.

Not guilty. There's really nobody left in my life who could die who might have a funeral. And nobody I'm really close enough to where I might be a pallbearer. It could happen, but I'm certainly not expecting it.

TNP had plans for this weekend that they had to abandon for one reason or another.

Guilty. I was going to go play Blood on the Clocktower at a local-ish game shop, but nobody would let me know if we were still on, so I gave up.

TNP went for a hike today!

Not guilty. It's been so long since I went on a hike. There are lovely trails around here and the weather is perfect, but I just can't motivate myself to do it. 

TNP is putting off a chore because "they can do it tomorrow" even though they secretly know they won't do it tomorrow either.

Guilty-ish. I am currently putting off a chore but I am going to tend to it later this evening, since it has to be done before tomorrow. 

The next person has extremely arcane, niche interests that they wish people asked them about more often.

I do have a fondness for the Solomonic texts, arcane rituals, laveyan satanism, pagan mythology, and the likes if that counts.

TNP knows how to ride a horse.

Guilty. Went through several years of attending summer camp with horses and mom taught me to ride properly after. Never quite caught the horse bug myself.

TNP is perfectly able to last weeks with just the company of animals and in fact prefers that to humans

Guilty as charged... I went weeks without human contact in 2014, and had genuine trouble speaking out loud after I emerged from my hermitage.

TNP had a good weekend and is dying to tell someone about it.
