The story of HIT Squad takes place in a modern fantasy setting with advanced-level modern technology. The universe is an original super hero universe where the technology is capable of exceeding the modern-advanced level, but only by extraterrestrial means. In this story, writers will be role playing anti-villains, and only anti-villains. Writers will also be tasked with creating their super hero adversary as a NPC. This game is inspired by Suicide Squad and Gotham City in the DC universe; however, it may contain archetypes from either the DC or Marvel universe, and of course, original ideas. This story is meant to contain dark, dark humor, sexual, and violent themes. Having introduced to you the basic idea, let’s get into the actual story.

Raven City is a fictional city on a fictional earth. The continent is similar to North America and its location is on the east coast between Philadelphia, PA and New York City, NY. Raven City has a Gotham-esque appearance at night, but in the day, it appears as sunny as California. Citizens are advised to never travel alone at night for crime is highest. The Raven City Police Department (RCPD) are one of the best departments in the country. Cops from all over the nation try to transfer to the RCPD just to get in on the action they compete with day-to-day. The RCPD are not alone in their efforts to keep the peace for there are heroes who are constantly on-call to assist them. Unfortunately, sometimes the villains need more justice dealt to them than a prison cell. Because the super heroes have adopted the code of “Thou Shalt Not Kill” many criminals and supervillains get put in prison only to escape days after to wreak havoc once again. This has been an issue across the entire country, and the United States government has had enough.

The U.S. government knows that there are supervillains who only the super-powered heroes can defeat, but they also know that they have locked up some supervillains who were just as formidable. In an experimental operation called DOUBLE CROSS, the Office of Covert Operations (Oh-Coh) (OCO) (basically an organization similar to what we know as SHIELD) travelled to every prison on the planet and recruited seven criminals. The objective of DOUBLE CROSS was to turn the supervillains against other supervillains under the noses of the hero league. OCO Psychologists believed that the best way to go after criminals was to use criminals. The seven were either forced to comply or had their own reasons for complying with the operation. They were placed on a special expendable squad and were tasked to carryout whatever mission the OCO demanded.

You will be creating a character on this squad. I will also have a character on the squad so I will be recruiting six players total. I want only dedicated, active, drama-free writers who can contribute to the story and the humor. I have had the pleasure of writing with many gifted writers on E, and it would be nice to have them all in the same place as is the case in one of the other games I GM. There will be a lot of lore-creation and character creation required of you. As previously mentioned, you will not only create in the main CS, your anti-villain, but you will also introduce as a NPC their heroic rival. If you create a city or even a prison where your character is going to hail from, then we will add that city and prison to the lore of the game. A lot of what you create will become apart of the game. This is why I ask for creative and dedicated writers. This game is meant to be fun, and it’ll only be as fun as we make it.

In the end, I am hoping for the anti-villains to (situational irony) start becoming the true heroes in the story, while the heroes well-known by the world start seeing themselves becoming the villains. But any who, if this whole idea interests you, then let me know. Drop your interest and feel free to pass your character concept by me in PM. I am on GMT+1, so if you notice a delay in my response that is why.

I am designating some rules for character creation:

1. No Anime. Try to use realistic art, comic art, or digital art. I do not want to see canon art from anime.

2. Avoid choosing the same concept as another writer. I am going to try and anonymously list concepts on the OP so that other prospective writers do not pick ideas that are already taken. Concepts—really what I mean is abilities. POWER THEME! If someone is going with Ice powers, then I do not want someone else choosing an Ice theme.

3. No Mary Sues/Gary Stus. Writers to this day do not know what a Mary Sue and Gary Stu is and still continue to make them. I am going to describe a character concept that I do not want to see: super tall, rich, and super handsome male or super beautiful female who can speak multiple languages, can fly, use super strength, do almost anything with their energy powers, and has no real exploitable weakness. If you create anything like this, I will reject it. I am telling you now so that you aren’t surprised.

4. Banned Powers: Time Manipulation; Space Manipulation; Matter Manipulation; Pocket Space Creation; Luck Manipulation (very thin exception); Dimension Creation; Realm Walking (not the same as astral projection); Nonexistence (does not exist to the six senses); Absolute Invulnerability (nothing harms them); Absolute Invincibility (again nothing harms them); Permanent Power Stealing/Copying/Mimicry; Instant Death; Cannot summon gods; Extreme Regeneration (where you can recover a missing arm, leg, or head in seconds/minutes—days, weeks, or months is more allowable); Resurrection; Advanced Healing (one who can heal anything even death without consequence); Reincarnation; Absolute Intangibility (every power, spell, or weapon can pass through them without inflicting harm because it has no weakness); and Premonition/Foresight (one can predict whatever attack, natural disaster, or consequence that can occur in the future in a split second). This list has the potential to get bigger. If I feel more needs to be added here, then I will add more.

Face Claim: If you chose to use a real life photo, then write what model, actor/actrice, or celebrity you're using. If you do not know who it is, write "Unknown." If you're not using a real life face claim, then write N/A.

You can add pictures and imagery throughout this entire template.

POWERS: Try to list no more than five.

EQUIPMENT: List any weapons, armor, or gadgets they use. If they do not use any, then leave this section blank.

Character Flaws: Does your character have some flaws about them whether they be behavioral or psychological (outside of their control)? Ex: OCD, night terrors, impulsive violence, insensitive, lack of sense of humor, overly-emotional, etc.

Heroic Rival: Since I'm expecting the hero to be a NPC, I'm not expecting an entire CS for this character. Just give a summary of the relationship between your character and this hero. Maybe this hero had a place in your character's back story which explains why they are enemies.

Character Theme: Optional. This is for posting songs that make you think about your character.

Battle Theme: Optional.

You can add anything extra you want in this section.

1. No Mary Sues/Gary Stus. I think the CS is detailed enough that I don't think this will be a problem. But again, don't make one.
2. No drama. This rule will always be here because people do not obey or even read this. Do not bring drama to this game. Not aggressive or passive aggressive. I will not let you into this game if you demonstrate to me that you cannot behave like a mature adult.
3. No is No. GM says no. Move on. I try to be fair but if I literally tell you No, then it’s no.
4. No weak, partial, and trim character sheets. If it looks like you barely put any effort into your CS, you will be denied. Do not send me a weak CS.
5. Interact. You are joining a group game. By joining a group game that means you want to interact with others. Do it! Do not join this game if you don’t plan to write with others. Do not be a creeper either. If I get a report that you are creeping on writers, then you will be dropped. If I feel you are not contributing to the game, then I will ask you to leave.
6. Activity. This game is going to be as fast as we make it. However, if the game slows down to the point everyone is posting once every 3-5 days, do not deem this game as dead. This game will only die if the GM says it is dead. If it dies and the GM didn't say it's dead, then the players killed this game. Do not kill this game. As a GM, there is only so much I can do. I can guide this game until conclusion, but I cannot force you to keep active and interested. You have to do this on your own. Interacting with other players and developing stories with them helps. Communicate with me if you plan to go AWOL. If you're coming down with a sickness and think you're going to be gone, let me know before it gets worse. If you plan to go on vacation for a time frame, let me know so we can accommodate your absence.
7. Respect each other.
8. Have fun.
Update! 9. Posting Level Requirement. Writers must be capable of posting 300 words and more. This is not a game for one-liners or short and choppy paragraphs. The writing in this game can reach advanced levels.
More rules will be added as they become necessary.

Anonymous concepts will be posted here. This section is to let writers know what powers/concepts are taken.

The goal is to have six approved CSes. If I receive more than six, then I will pick the best concept. Understand that this doesn't mean you weren't a good enough writer, it just means the GM is picking the concept that fits best in the story. However, if I do get more than six and the concepts are too good to pass up, then I will allow for more writers to join.

Hey everyone. Be sure to tell me what super power you're going with so I can post it up. Because if I get 3 applications or even 2 with the same power, only one of those submissions will get accepted. So I'm trying to make sure you don't commit to a concept that isn't reserved because there's no guarantee somebody else might do something similar.

Just added a reserve.

So far I have had applicants for female characters. I am only accepting either 4 female characters and 2 males (not including my CS) or 3 female characters and 3 males. Because I'm not having a mad influx of applicants, depending if someone sends me a sick concept I can't refuse. The player max has the potential of being stretched for some folks. I love a good story so I do not mind stretching it for anyone who presents me with a great character concept.  ;D

Siren

Legal Name: Charlotte Alexandra Lancaster.
Codename/Nickname(s)/Alias: Siren.
Age: 25 Years.
Gender: Female.
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual.
Criminal Record: Attempted Murder, Wounding With Intent, Armed Robbery, Firearm Offences, Possessing Explosives, Petty Theft, Vandalism, Assault & Battery, Grand Theft Auto.
Character O/Os: Basically the same as my own. Charlotte is more on the tender, passionate side of things (not to say she doesn't like it rough though) while 'Siren' is definitely more into the non-con, hate fucking, manipulation side of things.
Player O/Os: Here are my O/O's!

Height: 5'3"
Weight: Approx. 122lbs
Build: Petite/Slender
Hair Color: Ginger
Eye Color: Blue
General Appearance: Charlotte is the usual redhead in the sense that freckles decorate her body from head to toe, though are mostly focused on her face and arms. She has no tattoos to speak of and a few minor scars on her forearms and legs, mainly around her knees from excavations and dig crew work with her occupation. When Siren takes over, however, her appearance is radically altered. Her hair turns an ashy-white colour, her eyes (including the whites of her eyes) are completely pitch-black, her skin becomes more grey-toned despite already being very pale, and black markings seem to crack through the flesh of her face, around her eyes, from her lips, hairline and nose. Her nails also grow slightly, the end of the finger seeming to point into unnatural black coloured talons. Another thing of note is that her voice also changes with this transformation, sounding a lot deeper and more sinister with an obvious accent different from her normal British one, though it still speaks fluently in English, as well as other languages.
Costume: She has no real costume, so its more of the usual everyday clothing.
Face Claim: Believe it or not, the first picture is actually artwork.

POWERS:
○ Transformation: The Siren can take over Charlotte's body at will and has the majority of the control, though this does exhaust her and so she isn't always physically present, though Charlotte and Siren can communicate with each other within their mind. It is also a common occurrence that Siren will use Charlotte to speak her own thoughts and opinions without taking over her body.

○ Sirens Call: While Siren is in the forefront she is able to use her Sirens Call, which is an ability where the user can charm weaker minded individuals into doing her bidding. Its often a whispered, melodic chant and it puts the victim into an unaware, zombie-like state, though does no harm to them.

○ Sirens Scream: Her potent sonic attack is able to damage and stun foes or objects, to the point of shattering metal. This enables her to mimic sounds and generate any sound she desires. The Sirens Scream has been able to reach 300 decibels, which is enough to make a person's ears start bleeding even if they're not the attack target. This is obviously only possible when Siren is in control.

○ Heightened Speed: While Siren is at the forefront her speed is enhanced slightly, making her faster and more unpredictable in movement than the average human.

○ Heightened Strength: As with her speed, while she isn't super-humanly strong, her strength is more than that of a normal girl when Siren is in control.

EQUIPMENT:
○ N/A

SKILLS:
○ Kickboxing: Charlotte attended kickboxing classes while home in England, however these stopped when she travelled and when she returned from Ethiopia the final time.

○ Acrobatics/Gymnastics: Charlotte attended Gymnastic classes all throughout her childhood and late teens, training to a high standard, though ultimately passing on a chance to join the Olympic team for British Gymnastics. Her flexibility is also a result of her extensive training and is something she has kept up with through adulthood.

ADVANTAGES:
○ Siren: Siren is very manipulative even without using her Sirens Call. She can be very persuasive, intelligent and sly on one hand, while on the other she is very fierce and merciless.

○ Charlotte: She's an educated, well-travelled individual and is smart in her own right. She's usually very rational and level-headed, though has recently been on the more emotional side of things due to her circumstances.

○ Lock Picking: Charlotte knows her way around a locked door; something she picked up from her travels.

○ First Aid: Something she had to learn for a spot on one of her dig teams. She can preform basic first aid in case of emergencies and deals well with the site of blood.

○ Investigation & Research: Due to her field of study, she is used to digging - no pun intended - up facts and information surrounding cases and tasks.

DISADVANTAGES:
○ Siren: Her passenger is completely unpredictable and is very strong willed; she's able to take over whenever she wants and while Charlotte can observe what is happening from within her body, she is trapped and subjected to simply watching what Siren does with her body as the vessel. They're usually pretty shitty things. Siren can also be very angry and hard to control from those on the outside as well, which only adds to her unpredictability.

○ Energy: As mentioned before, Siren doesn't have unlimited energy supplies and once that is depleted Charlotte regains control. On one hand, this is good considering Charlotte wants to get back to her normal self, while on the other it could caused problems during altercations or in situations that could end badly for Charlotte, should Siren not be able to maintain her presence. On the transformation back, her hair will return to its usual red colour and the darkness that overtakes her features recedes back inside her.

○ Defeating Siren: Siren will lose the ability to control Charlotte once she has lost consciousness, though her tolerance is more than that of an average human. She can also be bound or disabled for certain periods of time by other magics, but none have successfully been able to rid Siren completely. Charlotte is still just human, so the body could be destroyed which would ultimately kill her while releasing Siren into the air to possess the nearest object or possibly person. Sedatives could also prove very useful in controlling Siren.

○ Unwanted Voice: Charlotte constantly has a voice in the back of her head, screaming at her to do and say certain things, unwanted opinions and is often arguing with this voice, even if silent.

○ Charlotte: Charlotte is a normal girl, she's not versed in combat and she's simply a victim of her circumstances.

Backstory: Charlotte was a single child, born and raised to a middle-class family in Cambridge, England. Her parents were quite a bit older when they had her and both passed respectively when she was seventeen and twenty-three, her mother first of illness and her father of a second heart-attack. Her childhood was very comfortable and her parents allowed her to do what she liked in regards to classes, though they were quite strict on her time schedules (IE. curfews, class time schedules, food times etc.) She attended a private school and was quite popular among the other students as well easily maintaining high grades and test scores. Charlotte moved out on her own when she attended the University of Cambridge, studying Archaeology and History and soon after her graduation she applied for places on dig crews and worked her way up to even running her own dig project, funded in big part by her parents. Her last job took place in Ethiopia, where upon being tasked to dig alone in a corner of an ancient, half buried temple, Charlotte discovered skeletal remains that seemed to cling to a relic of the past; a rusted, copper amulet with an inscription on its back that she couldn't decipher. As soon as she touched it, gloves and all, a voice called to her. It was a woman's voice, though deep and harshly whispered, an unfamiliar voice that seemed to have some power over her as it tempted her to take the amulet with her, to keep it safe. Charlotte had always been well disciplined and it was very unlike her to go through with the removal of the artefact but something about that voice just couldn't be ignored. She took it to her hotel room, hidden in an inner pocket of her khaki jacket, where it continued to talk to her; Charlotte sat in the same chair for two days without eating or drinking anything, staring at the amulet in a haze with no perception of hunger, thirst or time. When she finally returned to herself she realised she was not alone, that voice of the amulet was now inside her head and would soon be revealed as a passenger that would bring terror, despair and uncertainty to her life.

Current Story: Charlotte returned from her Ethiopia trip around ten months prior to the present day. During that time, Siren and Charlotte have committed heinous crimes within and around her city, even going as far to completely abandon her life in Cambridge and move to a scummy one-bed apartment in central London with a guy she barely knows, a junkie who was too out of his mind the majority of the time to realise what was happening with his roommate, and that he in fact had two people living with him instead of one. While in London, Charlotte has been detained multiple times, though has always managed to escape custody one way or another. More recently she has been locked away in a high security prison for females and young offenders; HMP Bronzefield just outside of Surrey, England, only to be approached by an American Government group, the Office of Covert Operations known mainly as the OCO, about joining a 'Hit Squad' of other high-profile criminals in order to take down the worst of the worst. They would be the Governments pets, destined to complete whatever tasks given to them and while Charlotte and Siren had different ideas about what that could mean, they both eventually agreed.

Personality: Charlotte is a well-mannered, caring and passionate person who has varied interests, though mainly History and people come to mind. She's always been very social, very sensible and level-headed, though since Siren has become a lot more anxious and emotionally-charged as well as distant and introverted. Hurting people is the last thing she's ever wanted to do, but with Siren entrapping her in her own body that is unfortunately now inevitable. Siren on the other hand is very angry, unpredictable, viscous for the sake of being viscous and has a distaste for most people. She's manipulative, persuasive and confrontational. Her sense of humour is very dark compared to that of Charlotte who enjoys puns and dad jokes, and she enjoys seeing people suffer.

Character Flaws: Other than Siren as a whole, the by products of her passenger like the overly-emotional personality change, the uncontrollable outbursts, the night terrors of a time and place completely foreign to Charlotte, the distancing of herself to keep people safe, the anxiety and helplessness would all be seen as new flaws.

Heroic Rival:
○ Name: Halima Worede
○ Alias: The Seer
○ Appearance: An Ethiopian woman.
○ Powers: Halima can see certain objects that she has or makes a connection with, despite where those objects are located. When this ability is in use her usual, brown eyes turn a striking golden colour (as seen in the image above.) However her sight is very unclear the majority of the time and can often take many attempts to pinpoint a connections location. Halima is also very old and how she ages is still not completely known; she is highly respected in her home village in Ethiopia.
○ Connection: Halima had an ancient connection with the amulet that ended up in Charlotte's possession, though its no longer the object that she has a connection with, instead its with Charlotte, or more specifically Siren. She can only see her when Siren is active. Halima travelled to England to find the amulet, only too have a run in with Charlotte and Siren. Their feud goes back many years, with Siren having once been a living member of Halima's village, only to be killed inn fear of her ritualistic practices and dark magic. Halima has made it her current object to imprison Siren for all eternity, though that has proven very difficult and despite her sight, she has not yet realised that Charlotte and Siren are now in the United States.

Character Theme: Bury A Friend - Billie Eilish

Gosh she's awesome. 10/10! I always love the voice in the back of the mind kind of characters. Might be a hint guilty of doing something similar with my own. :x! Would be interesting to see how the two interacted but I shall stifle my imagination until my own approval is finished. Love the themesong as well.

General Appearance: There is some controversy over the natural color of Mr. Stone's hair. Most documentation lists it as black
but on more than one occasion it has been reported to grow out blue. Further research indicates this is via exposure to the parasite.
He has a multitude of scarring on his body that includes many different slash marks on his back, shoulders, and chest as well as one
large scar on his stomach that is circular in shape. On his neck, he bears a blood-soaked  crown inked upon his skin that covers the

POWERS:
Conjuration/Manipulation of electricity - Can form electrical currents around his body and release electrical attacks from his hands. He can overcharge/drain existing currents of electricity.

Minor healing factor - Serious wounds leave scarring and healing only begins during long periods of rest. The entire healing process is incredibly painful for both entities and the host can not heal in this manner when separated from his parasite.

Transportation via electric current- Can travel through consistent electrical currents like power lines. Far from stealthy this form of travel usually causes damage through structures he travels through as well as a more than an obnoxious light show for onlookers. This also makes him somewhat uncomfortable afterward and side effects include nausea, dizziness, headache.

Heightened Strength - He has heightened strength when both entities are together. The hosts self-training from a young age provides the perfect canvas for the parasite to push his bodies physical limits. This can be self-destructive if not used responsibly and cause damage to his own body if pushed too far. Far from "super strength" he cannot destroy large structures with his fists alone or kill with a single punch but it still probably hurts pretty bad.

Heightened Instinct - Having a sentient weapon as a cohort aids him with the basic instincts of fighting for keeps. Beyond just winning he is fighting to survive and destroy.

EQUIPMENT: N/A

SKILLS:
He has advanced knowledge of martial arts and the art of fighting.

He possesses a talent for observation if his patience will allow him to sit back and watch others.

He takes pride in his abilities in psychological warfare, believing battles are often won in the mind.

ADVANTAGES:
Narcissistic (Parasite) - To be as full of himself as he is can be just as much of a blessing as it is a curse. Add that with a sprinkle of 'God Complex' and a moderate tendency to prey upon the weak-willed he makes the perfect storm for pushing lesser criminals into a frenzy of action and crime in his name.

Ill-Intent (Parasite) - He has the tendency to go after his enemies weak spots first. Whether literally in a battle or figuratively as in harming his enemies loved ones and valued resources while avoiding a head-on fight.

Live Beneath His Means (Host) - He feels safest in the slums and underbelly of society.

Fake (Parasite) - He hates acting beneath his station but he can put on the face for the benefit of temporary allies.

DISADVANTAGES:
Null Electricity - If someone has immunity to electricity or a way to nullify large currents/lightning than it fan renders his electric based powers useless.

God Complex - Being shown he is far from perfect is a dire wound all on its own. He takes rejection hard and failure harder.

Rival Minds - Between the empathetic and guilt-ridden host and the rage-filled narcissistic parasite things can get messy behind closed doors.

Weak-Willed (Host) - Easily influenced and over emotional he trusts his co-host behind the wheel but sometimes his enemies can make him question himself.

Weak Stomach - After the most important battle in his supervillain career, he left defeated and with a grievous wound. Even though it has had plenty of time to heal he still feels pain in the area and it can easily be considered a weak point.

Doesn't Carry Cash - Never caring about the concept of money his finances could be described as lacking if not entirely non-existent.

Separation Anxiety - Whether either wishes to admit it or not they are both incredibly dependent on one another more than just physically. Therapy during his time incarcerated showed that though they share a volatile and toxic relationship they have an unshakable bond. During testing the parasite rejected taking any new hosts and Richard refused to cooperate with any prison staff unless in the presence of his parasite.

Backstory:
Richard was the son of a popular hero and knew about his father. Sure that he would also be a hero one day with his own powers he spent most of his time training with his father and learning the valuable lessons of compassion from his powerless mother.

As he was growing up his powers never developed making him grow unconfident and resentful. As a teenager, he was kidnapped and tortured by an enemy of his father who had learned his identity. This went on for days until he met a strange alien-like creature that whispered into his mind. They grew close and formulated a plan to escape that went somewhat astray. They became one entity and was later rescued by Richards father who spared the villains life even after he hurt his son.

Things only got worse and with Richard hid his new powers from his parents. Growing to hate them for their sense of justice and allowing that to happen to him they grew farther and farther apart. As a young adult, he became a bouncer in a bad neighborhood with a crime boss. Still trying to play hero as subtly as he could Richard got into trouble and during a beat down relinquished control to the parasite he had bonded with who lashed out in rage murdering the criminals. Shocked by what he did he ran home to his family only to witness another tragedy. His mother was slain by the same man who kidnapped him years ago and when he saw his father falter to kill the man did it himself.

Richard ran from city to city after that slowly growing into a thriving villain who was growing more unhinged by the day until he was defeated and captured.

Z3K-III
Z3K-III also identified as Zack is a sentient weapon that was designed to invade and destroy civilizations. The way it was engineered allowed for the ability to comprehend and understand basic emotion. As it grew stronger it fed off of the approval of its creators when being tested. Killing non-important targets and working through puzzles but was ultimately found lacking. Considered and informed that it was a failure they locked it up in a small footlocker sized glass box. It was often tortured and tested for the qualities it possessed so that it's creators could emphasize the good traits from the ones they didn't want. It has suffered for most of its existence until meeting Richard. Another failure of the world that freed him from his prison.

Origin Story
Richard's dream was to be like his father. Raised in a comfortable home with two loving parents and a well-kept secret. His father was a Hero, not any hero mind you. His hero. His father donned the spandex, cape, and hood to fight crime in the country he loved. A flying, punching, train-stopping, people saving cliche loved by all. Richard couldn't wait for his time to come and he guarded his family secret as zealous as a fanatic five years old may. His parents encouraged Richard's dreams and taught him the importance of empathy, sympathy, and restraint. His father was also the one to teach him how to fight growing up. They trained together running, jumping, climbing, and roughhousing all his life. His father was a gentle-hearted man who cared deeply for the young boy. Surely his son would make a great hero one day.

But his powers never came. Year after year passed without the slightest sign of the hidden gifts they all assumed he had. His parents assured him that powers didn't make the man. What empty words. They reminded him that superpowers were unique and strange there wasn't quite a proven formula for how they show up or when. Their words were like a weight on his shoulders that pressed into his declining confidence. How could they be so sure? His mother had no powers. She ruined him. He would never be anything. He bottled up his doubts and put his trust in his parents. He will be a hero.

During his teenage years, he learned the dangers of his father's blessing. An enemy had found out his father's identity. Richard arrived home to silent house and as he wandered into the living room he saw the face of death. He was kidnapped, tortured and unintentionally introduced to the most important friend he would ever make; Specimen Z3K-III. The entire painful experience was a blur of trauma as he waited for his dad to arrive. For someone to arrive. Fear settled into his bones and he lost the sense of time. The only thing distracting his mind was the quiet hiss of a voice from above his cell. Something on a shelf moving in its own glass cage. They spoke to one another over the days, learning, growing closer. Both imperfect. Both unwanted. Both afraid.

Richard doesn't remember the exact deal they struck up but he remembers that they made one. One mass power failure, sheer luck, and an escape attempt was all it took for the two to fuse. When Richards body dropped to the ground experiencing his first unbearable bout of electrocution he could only remember the laughter of his captures and the hiss of a voice comfort him into unconsciousness. "It'll only hurt for a little."

That was the day his father found him tracing where the power source that shut down the city originated from. He captured the villains and spared their lives. Rescuing his now traumatized son unknowing of the biological hitchhiker on board.

Time continued regardless of the wants and needs of the boy. Crime continued, his father remained a symbol of protection like the many other heroes. Over time tensions only got worse in the Stone family and after one too many insults and screaming matches, Richard left to find his life on his own estranged from his parents. Richard worked security at a shitty bar with an even shittier boss. Hiding away his newfound gifts from his loved ones for years. He was fearful of himself and the bloodlust of his new best friend. Reluctant to relinquish his control. Now he could use his full potential throwing drunk men out and dragging angry women kicking and screaming out of the facility. The crime was rampant at his job and Richard believed it his place to try and stop it. Until his boss pulled him in to explain how things worked. Richard's lack of compliance with his bosses demands to go with the flow earned him a near-fatal mugging. With Z3K-III barking in his mind for every moment to let him protect them. Let him fight. Let him kill. Like a chained dog foaming at the mouth.

He blacked out.

His memory of that day is fractured for the most part. After giving up control and murdering the others supplying him with a beat down he just wanted to go home. To run home. Fate being the cruel thing that it was lead him to his burning home hours later. The same villain who had kidnapped him years ago having escaped and tracked them down once again. Killing his mother before being defeated once again by his father. This time was different and once he realized his father would not end the man's life the parasite took matters into his own hands. He played hero for his host that day and was allowed to walk away from his father who was facing the grief of the day. He let Richard walk away in a moment of weakness.

Things got worse from there and began Richard's half a decade long spiral out of control. First being the masked villain introduced as 'Shock' who had been terrorizing people in the name of his own justice. Later continuing his acts of evil unmasked with the self-given name 'King'. It wasn't until his ultimate defeat by his own father leaving him with a deadly wound on his abdomen that he was captured and incarcerated in a max security prison.

Current Story: He was still incarcerated in Raven City Asylum receiving “help” when the OCO approached him. Years of therapy having soothed the beasts if not made them somewhat docile in the presence of others. They declined repeatedly to help the society that has ruined them but ultimately were offered things they couldn't refuse. They had a chance to do a good thing which resonated with Richards life long desire to be a hero. They could be in the outside world outside of a cage which coaxed the parasite to show interest. Though most importantly they could be together again.. which sealed the deal.

Personality: In short he can be a bit Jekyll and Hyde. Richard is an anxious wreck of a man, emotional, stressed and introverted. He would love to form friendships or at least willingly allow himself to be fooled into believing he has friends. Willfully ignorant to the warning signs of those around him and easily guilted by not amounting up to his own expectations. He can be quite empathetic to those around him and appears to have the will to 'do the right thing'. All of that being said he is aggressively protective over Z3K-III who he has affectionately named Zack.

Zack is the opposite of Richard in many ways. Vindictive, outspoken, and a little belligerent Zack often demands attention positive or negative. He enjoys putting on a show and keeping things on edge. He doesn't appreciate being looked at as bloodthirsty but believes instead that he holds a higher standard for people who interact with him. He feels like justice is subjective and the only good punishment is one that fits the crime. If someone assaults you why shouldn't you be allowed to kill them first? Then again his hypocritical tendencies to believe himself higher than his own self-claimed justice is a sure sign that he is just seeking clever excuses to do as he pleases.

Character Flaws:
Richard and Zack are going to have to deal with some major growing pains now that they are together again. Richard suffers from his traumas leaving him a nervous wreck of a man. He has night terrors and can be overly fearful at times. Zack is trying to learn the proper process of restraint now that he has a second chance. Unfortunately his habit of seeking conflict, his terrible temper and being an incredibly sore-loser he has a hard time backing off or turning the other cheek.

They both hate Richard's father to the point of blind rage. Richard will refuse to answer to the nickname Richie and it seems to provoke the otherwise cowardly man.

Heroic Rival:

His father earned the Hero Name "Steam". Possessing the ability to fly as well as super strength. This powerhouse of a man dons a black outfit with gold trim and is known for the signature steam that rises off of him during his fights. Though he can not control his heat the more he exerts himself the more heat is released. He has put many villains behind bars including his own son.
--
The villain of his childhood named the Scarlet Butcher. Also known as Robert Steele ex-military scientist and creator of Z3K-III. Cunning and ruthless he survived the attempt on his life from young Richard.

Ohhhh, he's a hottie! Really like the character profile you've got there! I think their 'better human halves' in Charlotte and Richard will definitely able to bond about their strange circumstances c:

I sent a concept via PM, just let me know if i need to fill it in with a full CS, I submitted as female as I would prefer her to be that, but she truly would work as a guy as well. Though that would change a few minor details.
What were you thinking just now?

I want everyone to know that your character's story is going to be way more important than the concept. If you send me an interesting concept, and then send me a CS with a weak, farfetched, or Mary Sue/Gary Stu story (just listing random possibilities), then we are going to spend a lot of time filling in loopholes or lazily overlooked parts of the story. Only if they prove to be very important to not leave out. So work extra hard on that backstory.

I also look at player's posting history. If you normally do not write more than 300 words but instead one-line or write choppy paras with poor basic grammar, then this game may not be for you. I will politely let you know if I suspect you are this person. I am speaking in general and to no one directly. I am just putting out a notice of what I have been looking at when it comes to approving concepts.

So I received an influx of applications from writers who never reserved or spoke with me. I am still waiting on 3 applications from writers who have reserved with me. I am putting first the writers who actually reserved, and I will be looking at the sudden arrivals last. It is only fair since everyone else followed my directions. With this being said, since I believe I have more applications than I have remaining slots, I am no longer accepting applications at this point. So if you reserved with me or you sent me a CS as of today, before I posted this, then you are good.

If after I go through all the submitted CSes, I still find open slots because I denied some, then I will update this game. For now, I am not taking anymore.

Hype!

TheBlackThrone

All right; we're back in business. There are still some CSes from those who made reservations that I am waiting on. I am still reading through CSes that were sent to me by those who did not reserve with me. It is taking some time because I am working during the day, and so I can only get to this during the evening. Some of you write a lot, and I do take the time to thoroughly read it all unless at the very beginning you give me a Mary Sue. Please, please, please, do not send me a Mary Sue CS. I will not accept it for the sake of everyone in my game.

Also, the details I am asking for when you make a CS is not something you should be bending over backwards to do. If you feel that you have to bend over backwards just to write a detailed CS, then this game is more than likely not for you. I am not asking that you reveal all there is about your character in the CS because that's already impossible. I don't know any writer who reveals everything about a character in one CS. It just doesn't happen. So please do not send me a weak CS. I can tell when a writer completed it in one day and didn't spend enough time fleshing out the character they created. I would prefer writers come to this game knowing who they intend to play and not trying to figure it out during the game, frustrate themselves when the character didn't turn out the way they thought or wanted, and then use that as an excuse to leave. Take your time making this CS. I will not wait more than 2 weeks for you to submit your reservation though. So in the meantime, while I have CSes coming in, and I am waiting for you to submit your reservation, I will be giving feedback to those writers who are finished rather than leaving them in silence.

Lastly, disclaimer: all comments mentioned in this post are purposefully kept anonymous but also reveal actual reasons for why a CS has/will be declined. The way "you" is being used in this post is at no one in particular. It is used generally to mean "the writer," which is anyone who is reading this post informatively and who is curiously browsing the game, wanting to know what is required to get accepted.

But specifically to anyone who submitted me a CS or concept, if you haven't heard from me yet, I know you exist. I have not forgotten. I will get to you when I can.  ;D

I updated the OP. We are still looking for 4 characters, maybe 3. I am checking on our reserves.

As I mentioned before, the character's story is everything. Another thing is making sure to bring your concept to my attention first before you start working on it. When you do not do this, you could have created something you spent hours thinking it was going to work, but due to the farfetched nature of it all, it will not.

Avoid creating characters that are:

1. World Terrorist who is just so good that every agency employed them and everyone and their Mom wants them dead, etc.
2. Making one concept that you get approved by me, and then go completely leftfield with a second concept that you are trying desperately to make sense of and hammer and wedge into your CS. Do not do this.

If you make me about a street-level villain who is deadly in their own special way because this game asks for your characters to be one of the most deadliest people, then your idea will more than likely get accepted because a character of that level is easier to write. You send me Galactus-level or something crazy like that, then I am going to wonder how are they in a prison on Earth? And not banished to another dimension or something because I cannot see how a villain so powerful would be sitting in a maximum security prison.

I hope this helps. I have had some interesting applications but I could tell the writers were exhausting themselves trying to make their concept work sensibly. Again, just run it by me first. Everyone who has run it by me has been accepted because I helped them before they fell into the writing trap. Others I am still waiting for.

Lastly, you can get your concept out writing less. It is not easy for some because they feel they have to over-detail a CS. But it is possible. Please use the already accepted CSes as an example. I am also almost finished with my own. I will have it posted soon. Also, mine is not an example of writing less. It is just another example of an acceptable concept.

#23

Legal Name: Dante Augustus Marconi
Codename/Nickname(s)/Alias: Dante/Crispy; The D; Osiris; Mummy; Boss; Don Marconi;/The Devil; The Burning Man
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Criminal Record: Murder; Theft; Assault & Battery; Arson; Money Laundering; Bribery; Breaking and Entering; Vandalism; Vehicle Hijacking; Money Embezzlement; Resisting Arrest; Black Market schemes; Drug possession and trafficking; Weapon trafficking, and Human trafficking.
Character O/Os: Dante likes a beautiful and naughty girl (or girls)—one who shows him respect and knows her place, but she is free to talk to him dirty. He likes it dirty and is known to be pretty handsy with his lovers. He will manhandle them at times, but he is also open to switch and letting them have the top. She has to be into blindfolds, spankings, biting, hair-pulling, being caressed by either his hand or a weapon, and at times being under the influence of drugs. He is no longer as handsome as he used to be. But a woman who can see his dark charm through his macabre exterior will definitely peak his interest.
Player O/Os: O/O

Height: 5’11”
Weight: 192 lbs
Build: Lean
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Pink, irritated sclera with blood-red irises
General Appearance: Dante used to be a handsome man. Dark, silken hair; olive-green eyes; and a Mediterranean-gold complexion. There was a stern and masculine definition to his chiseled features, but all of that was melted away. Because he died in a fire, Hell deemed burning to be his eternal punishment. As long as Dante chooses to use his hellfire as a weapon, then he will always appear charred or scarred with no hair but dark, red-brown, rippled and scarred flesh. Three gunshot rings can be found on his chest and abdomen from where Big Fish had shot him, but no other tattoos, marks, or natural scars can be found. Dante’s appearance can be macabre at times. His flesh will fall from his body in black burnt chips, and he will sometimes appear hairless with his ears missing. What he normally does to get around society is wrap his body in bandages. If he spent a few weeks not using his power, then beneath his bandages, one would be able to see remnants of his humanity. His eyes are still a terrifying red, his flesh pristine, and his black hair can be seen peeking through his wrappings. In an environment warded with sacred and holy objects, Dante appears close to his normal self. His eyes are still red and red runes are cut into his flesh, covering the entirety of his body. The runes are believed to be a demonic language, telling all otherworldly entities that he is still bound to Hell despite him having escaped. Over his bandages, Dante tends to wear suits like he used to as the boss of the Marconi family. He wears his old jewelry such as a gold chain, signet ring, and watch for he has not yet given up on what remains of his humanity or on being a mob boss.
Costume: Dante does not wear a costume. He appears wearing tailored suits and bandages. If he isn’t wearing his bandages, then often his appearance is that of a charred man. His eyes and body will often combust into flame, and strangely, his suit won’t burn. It is believed that Dante controls this.
Face Claim: Noah Mills

POWERS:
  • Demonic Force Manipulation: Dante is able to utilize demonic power. This not only grants him great strength (Strength Scale: 800 lbs to 2 tons) but control over certain demonic abilities, such as his Hellfire. His power allows him to overwhelm weaker demonic and divine beings as well as rival some formidable paranormal foes.
    • Hellfire Manipulation: Dante can generate and manipulate the cursed flames of Hell. His flames appear the color of normal fire and are capable of burning most things in a manner unorthodox to the average fire element. He is capable of generating this power to set his vicinity ablaze and can control who or what he wants to burn; but unfortunately due to his curse, he cannot stop the fire from burning himself every time he chooses to use it.
  • Paranormal Interaction: Dante can see and communicate with supernatural beings like angels, demons, spirits, and other celestials.
  • Semi-Immortality: Dante no longer ages and cannot be killed by conventional means for…he sorta, kinda, has already died. He just escaped Death. He can survive most accidents and lethal intentions that would kill most people.
  • Regeneration: Dante’s healing factor is above a normal human’s but it still is slow, often taking days to heal grievous wounds. This ability is what allows him to slowly repair his flesh after he uses his fire.

EQUIPMENT:

  • Colt M1911: A normal semi-automatic 1911 pistol.
  • Loyalty: This weapon is the broadsword Dante used to escape Hell. It is a demonic blade that Dante hasn't used since his escape. He keeps it hidden and sees it more as a decorative memory.
  • Whatever the OCO allows him to take on missions.

SKILLS:

  • Expert Marksman: While not a world-class marksman, Dante can typically put a bullet where the target is, whether that be a human being or a literal object. He has had plenty of practice gunning down other criminals, whether by spraying them with lead or popping shots into their skulls.
  • Dirty Business: He is a professional when it comes to trafficking and monetary embezzlement. You want to sneak something passed the law, he may know some guys who can make it happen. You want to see someone disappear without a trace of DNA left behind—well, with his new powers he can make that happen. But if you want to go about it the traditional way, then he personally knows how to make it happen for he’s done it plenty of times.
  • Criminal Psychology: Not only does Dante have a Masters in Psychology, but he’s a criminal and great minds think alike. If he put this skill to investigations rather than exploiting people’s personal weaknesses, then he would make a good detective. The Marconis have had to hunt down thugs who were just as bad as them, and Dante would claim he’s seen it all. Probably not, but he’ll still claim it.
  • Occult Knowledge: Dante knows a lot about the supernatural whether he wants to know about it or not. He didn’t believe in ghosts, demons, and angels before. He would say he saw the “light” when he died but that didn’t exactly happen.
  • Fluent Italian: It’s his family’s language.

ADVANTAGES:
  • Mobster: The Marconis were thought to be finished once Dante died. When he made a chilling return, Dante was able to revive what loyalties remained. Those who were no longer loyal...well…they were burned. No matter how many times Dante gets locked up, he always has connections on the outside.
  • Multiple Connections: Dante knows a guy, who knows a guy, who knows a guy…it comes with the job.
  • Still Alive: Dante managed to escape Hell with his soul, which means unlike the undead bastards, he’s still alive!
  • High Pain Tolerance: Dante can take punishment like a champ. He would claim to have endured worse in Hell. The mobster may not react to pain as a normal human would.
  • Brawler: Dante never had any formal martial arts training. He learned how to fight through life experience, and throughout his years being a mobster, he’s had to fight many times and each fight was to stay alive. He doesn’t fight fair. He fights effectively.

DISADVANTAGES:
  • Holy Fire/Objects/Water/Prayer: Dante can be bound, barred, and defeated by blessed weapons, objects, or grounds declared holy and sacred. While holy fire and water burn, crosses only keep him at bay. He cannot stand hearing prayer, and so will steer clear of churches, mosques, and other holy temples if he can help it.
  • Grotesque Appearance: Dante will not ever be able to retain a human appearance for as long as he continues to utilize his hellfire. This makes it impossible for him to not draw attention in public. Unless he has on a really good latex mask, Dante stands out like a sore thumb. Love is difficult to achieve. There aren’t too many women who would find the charred Casanova attractive—not unless they were just as unusual.
  • Demonic Hitlist: Hell actively tries to get Dante back. While, Hell doesn’t make as big of an effort for devils often spring deals with Dante, they would not refuse if his soul was offered for bargaining.
  • Obsessive: Like his father, Dante obsesses over the revival of the family, and he intends to try and keep it alive for as long as he resides on Earth. He doesn’t have much else. Avenging his pride had been his only motivation for escaping his eternal damnation.
  • Fears Returning to Hell: He dreads going back and he will fight tooth and nail, and even throw another into the flames to keep from going back.

Backstory: Dante Augustus Marconi was born to Augustus and Isadora. His father was head of a construction company called Augusta Construction that was responsible for the design and renovation of several buildings and residences in Raven City—most notably banks and a few mansions. Augustus employed several of Raven’s thugs, hoping that keeping them off the street would contribute to the decrease in crime. It wasn’t until he caught two of his workers having robbed one of the mansions in The Heights that his philosophy began to change. His workers had told him how well they knew the house after they had built it. Breaking into it was “a piece of cake.” Augustus, close to his workers, told them to keep a low profile until the ordeal passed. He hadn’t really expected his workers to get away with it, but they did. Did no one care about the Raven elite? What was a few stolen valuables from already wealthy and spoiled moneybags? The contagious greed led Augustus to accept more projects in The Heights and Financial Sector just so they could exploit them later. His success kickstarted his new business in the Raven City underworld. Augustus and his former construction crew started to hustle. They purchased the products of one gang and sold them to another. They even instigated gang wars in high-crime areas like The Pits and Chinatown. Overtime, Augustus Marconi noticed that with the slow elimination of competition that the Marconi name was growing in infamy. The Marconis were a small spark, but a certain fish attempted to douse it.

Benjamin “Benny” “Big Fish” Miller attempted to wipe out the Marconis and nearly succeeded if it wasn’t for the interference of Christoph “Crossfade” Weber. With the protection of Crossfade and his numerous connections, the Marconis became locked in debt with the crime lord for several years. During those years, Augustus fell in love with a prostitute by the name of Isadora “Bella Rosa.” It was Isadora who empowered Augustus to believe that he was destined to rise above Raven’s trash. Augustus enacted a plan that would free the Marconis from Crossfade and have them as an independent mob again. He started working closely with Christoph’s “connections,” undertaking jobs and deals that led him to descend deeper into darkness. It wasn’t long before Christoph found himself marooned in the Blooming Fields Psychiatric Hospital.

Dante

The Marconis went through a progressive period. The spark had become a flame just big enough to keep The Big Fish at bay but small enough not to attract the interest of other gangs. The Marconis now seasoned in turf war focused on small-time deals to build morale and equipment. During this time was when Dante was born. Isadora was proud to have given her lover a handsome son. He was their only son and Isadora’s affection for him was near obsessive. She filled the boy’s mind with the same pride she had used on his father. However…she told Dante that he was destined to surpass him and take over the Marconi “empire.” The Marconis’ bloodline traced back to Gaius Octavius and he was meant to rule. The boy took his mother’s praise to heart. While his father ran the family, Dante watched and learned. He was a reader and while he was in private school, he was often the spotlight in class. He got the attention of admirers and bullies, but Dante proved to be the bigger bully. In fact, he was quite…sadistic.

Throughout his time in school, Dante participated in sports and took several art classes. His father never attended any of his competitions and didn’t even learn how gifted his son was in art until Isadora started to hang his paintings throughout the house. Normally a child might have developed “daddy issues” but Dante didn’t. He was quite fine with his father’s lack of attention for he didn’t want the man he would surpass to learn how much his son had truly grown. As a late teenager, Dante’s charm attracted many a fine lady, and there was only one who he brought home to his mother. Her name was Anna “Anne-Marie” Morris. She was a beautiful redhead who planned to attend the same private university as him. Isadora was secretly jealous, and in an unexpected fit, slapped Anna and banished her from their home. She then chastised Dante for desiring such a “plain” girl. She told him how he shouldn’t trust women so easily. If Anna had learned about the family business, then she would have certainly ran to the police. Despite his mother’s excuses to hide her infatuation with him, Dante was embarrassed and angry. Anna never spoke to him again since that day. The incident only fueled Dante’s desire to take over the family even more.

Dante attended a private university and found the human psychology to be the most interesting conundrum. While in pursuit of a Bachelor’s in psychology, his mother fell ill. Dante, unwilling to drop out of college to take care of her, wanted to believe his father would hire a nurse, but his father never did. Karma appeared before Isadora that night and showed her the results of her creations. Both Augustus and Dante were too deeply-engrossed in their dreams to take her health into consideration. Isadora inevitably died. The news reached Dante, and at first, he was angry but then he realized…Anna. Dante attempted to rekindle the love he and Anna had for each other, but Anna revealed that she had a boyfriend. Dante persisted, figuring by telling her his mother was dead and that there was no one to get between them that her mind would have changed. Anna broke away from him and told her boyfriend later that night who sought Dante out. Dante avoided him and called his father’s men later who had Anna’s boyfriend mysteriously “removed.” Dante never returned to Anna, but relished seeing her grief at the disappearance of her lover. He went on to pursue a Master's and became a private behavioral counselor. As a counselor, Dante had a variety of clients to include RCPD personnel. He was able to win the favor of several twisted officers and officials and set up a secret business exchange with the Marconi family.

The Rise and Fall

As Marconis started to get away with certain crimes (since cops started turning the other cheek), several of Augustus’s men started to see Dante as the true leader. Dante was educated unlike his father who started as a mere construction worker. The old man was worn from countless turf wars to the point his sanity was tipping. Dante tried to convince his father to retire, but his father was too stubborn. This aggravated Dante to the point he eventually took his father’s life, blaming him for his mother’s death. Without protest from the family, Dante assumed the role as the head of the Marconi family.

He underestimated the weight of the burden his father carried and how risky of a game he had played. He took the Marconis from the bottom and raised them to a place on the ladder where his father had spent years forbidding them to go. A massive gang war broke out between the Marconis, Big Fish, and Crossfade at the Marconi estate. The war was so violent that the RCPD didn’t risk getting directly involved, and instead attempted to contain the conflict in order to keep it from spilling over into residential neighborhoods. While most of the RCPD was content with letting the crime lords sort it out, a certain caped crusader was against seeing even lowly thugs kill each other off. The Dark Avenger charged into the gang war and took down mobsters left and right. Even with the hero’s interference, the firefight became hotter. Cops attempted to apprehend the criminals subdued by the Dark Avenger, but most were being murdered as soon as they were incapacitated. Dante was personally putting holes in any gang member that wasn’t a Marconi on his merciless hunt to put Big Fish and Crossfade to rest once and for all. The mansion was soon in flames. Arsonists set the battleground ablaze in order to expedite the war’s conclusion.

The fire department was summoned, but the firemen couldn’t put out the blaze until the gang war finished. As thugs poured out of the burning building, cops were there to arrest them. The Dark Avenger started to focus on hunting the mob bosses. He apprehended Crossfade first and walked him out to the police. All that was left was Dante and Big Fish. The two were having a standoff in the dining room. The mansion roof was starting to cave in. The Dark Avenger only had time to save one, but he knew if he made the attempt then one would shoot the other. Firing two pistols at each of the bosses’ guns, he figured that he had disarmed them as he vaulted over the dining table to restrain them. Both Dante and Big Fish carried a second weapon. Dante a derringer and Big Fish a second pistol. Dante managed to shoot Big Fish once, but Big Fish shot him three times before the Dark Avenger interfered. Dante collapsed. Big Fish was detained and the roof started to fall. The Dark Avenger managed to escape with Big Fish, but Dante was buried in the burning remains of his empire.

To Hell and Back

Dante awoke in Hell at the feet of two menacing devils. They bestowed upon him his eternal punishment, breathing upon him a fire that caused his flesh to melt right off. The pain he suffered kept him on his hands and knees, forcing him to crawl like lowly scum. As he crawled through the Underworld, he learned that his parents were also residents of Hell. Because of his mother’s past sins as a prostitute, she was forever raped with snakes, and because of his father’s greed, he was forced to scale a thorny stairway barefoot with the hope of reaching the very top. Unfortunately, the top was forever outside of his reach and his feet continued to rip, heal, and tear. Dante would swore he spent years in Hell, listening to his parents blaming him for the collapse of the family. Their whining was maddening and so Dante continued his journey, hoping to learn as much as he could about the realm so that he could one day escape. The demons who breathed upon him followed him everywhere he went and attempted to fill his mind and spirit with hopelessness. No matter how much Dante suffered, he never stopped plotting his escape. He became obsessed with the possibility of escaping Hell, and after patiently waiting for his chance, the right opportunity emerged.

Dante came across a tortured soul who was being punished for treason. He was to fall on his own sword, a sword called Loyalty, and it was the weapon Dante drew from the soul’s body and used it to slay his demons. Slaying his demons freed his soul. No longer bound to the Underworld, Dante made his escape, returning to Raven City after two mortal realm years of torment. He learned that his gang had dispersed, seeking sanctuary in the arms of his rivals. Dante made his grand returning debut at a private banquet at Big Fish’s estate. Armed with Hellfire and two Heckler and Koch MP5s, Dante ran Big Fish and his goons off his property, setting it ablaze and regaining the loyalty of his former thugs. Word spread like wild fire that Dante had returned from the grave. The Dark Avenger went to the ruins of the Miller estate to investigate and was disturbed by the evidence. A fire had been lit, but it had been unlike any fire he had ever seen.

The Dark Avenger deduced that Dante was going to Crossfade’s complex next. Preparing vials and a water tank of holy water, the Avenger decided to see if the rumors about Dante were actually true. As he predicted, he found Dante at Crossfade’s already setting fire to the place. The Dark Avenger leapt into action quickly neutralizing Crossfade and his gang, and then taking down Dante. The holy water had worked! The Dark Avenger informed the RCPD of the special handling Dante would need. Dante was then imprisoned in the waters of Del Monte Bay at Dolfin Penitentiary just west of the city.

Current Story: The OCO learned about Dante’s hellish powers and met with him at the Dolfin. He resided in a glass prison with sprinklers that were capable of spraying holy water, and walls outlined in white cross stickers and markered scripture. Dante accepted the OCO’s offer just to get free with the hopes of reconnecting with his group. The agreement, of course, didn’t come without its fine print. If Dante broke the agreement, then they claimed to have known a way to send him back to Hell. Oblivious to the OCO’s capabilities, Dante decided to believe them—but he didn’t let them know that. He was going to find out if what they claimed was true or false. Let’s just say, they better hope it’s true.

Personality: Dante is a dangerous man but that could be said of most criminals. After escaping Hell, the mobster has become more arrogant than he was before but not to the point that he believes himself invincible. Returning to Hell is a creeping fear that could easily become a reality if he isn’t careful, and Dante has no intention of returning. If he was to return, he would ensure he didn’t return alone. The Underworld darkened his personality and sense of humor. Some might have taken it as a learning experience, but he was instead twisted by the realization that such a place actually exists. Because Dante is already aware of his reserved seat in the flaming afterlife, he has lost all hope of ever being redeemed. The killer now makes decisions with little fear of reprisal from the mortal realm. There is nothing the law or any super hero could to do him that Hell hasn’t already. This way of thinking has made him somewhat insensitive to the plight and struggles of others.

There is a part of Dante that he still believes is the same and hasn’t quite died. This side of himself still flirts and tries to charm women despite his ghastly appearance. At the same time, he doesn’t blame them if they reject him. It can be depressing, but Dante doesn’t wear his more vulnerable feelings openly. He desires to keep the Marconi family alive for being the don is the most he feels that he will ever feel alive and normal. While his men cower in fear at his appearance, they still regard him as their boss. Those closer to him do not see or treat him any different than before he went to Hell. Dante desires to remain in his comfort zone and seeks revenge on his family’s enemies and any hero that dare gets in his way.

The voice of the mobster is low and rough like gravel when he is in his charred appearance. The more human his form appears, then the more his natural timbre will return. When it comes to business, Dante likes to have a plan of execution, and it is only when shit really hits the fan that he would ever improvise.

Character Flaws:
  • Working with Others: Dante is used to being the “boss.” If he isn’t the boss, then he is prone to turning a deaf ear to others. This makes working with others difficult for him. He trusts very few people.
  • Stubborn: Dante is often set in his ways. He may stick to a plan if he believes it was the best resort, which makes changing a little difficult for him. A group leader may expect everyone to go one way and he just might go the other.
  • Selfish: No matter what happens, Dante is in it for himself and he is thinking only about himself. His every wants and needs.
  • Deceitful and Manipulative: He knows how to weave truth-lies and craft his words to get what he wants. This doesn’t always mean physical want. It mainly means the “intended result.”

Heroic Rival:

  • The Dark Avenger: Adam North, a millionaire and President of North Security. While his company is responsible for majority of Raven City’s home security systems, he secretly uses those systems to monitor the entire city. His company also was responsible for creating the CCTV cameras installed all over. They contribute to The Dark Avenger’s ability to arrive in the nick of time. The hero isn’t known to possess any supernatural powers. His greatest strength is his mind, skills, and access to advanced technology.
  • Cristoph “Crossfade” Weber: A German gangster who deals in human trafficking, pornography, and drugs. His group known as The Blitzers or Blitzgang own several strip clubs in the Raven City downtown. The Marconis used to work for them until they were double-crossed by them. Their relationship has been damaged since.
  • Benjamin “Benny” “Big Fish” Miller: He’s not called “big” for nothing. The man is enormous and was called a fish due to his wide mouth and massive lips. He was the first gang that tried to wipe the Marconis off the map and would have succeeded if not for Crossfade. The relationship between The Mariners and The Blitzers is a thin one. The only time they decide to cooperate with each other is when it comes to wiping out the Marconis.
