I wouldn't say that there is anything we need, necessarily. Really, we want you to play who you want to play! There's definitely far more students than there are professors, so I'd say that it's easier to make connections if you make a student character. BUT, there really are no limitations or expectations at all. We want you to write who you want and everything else will fall into place.
