So... I had another request thread (which you can find here!), but editing it was simply painful because I messed up so much with the codes and all that jazz. Since most of the stories there are outdated, I thought it would be better to start afresh! As you will see, a good deal of (if not all) the stories listed below fall by and large fall into the category of modern slice-of-life. I will try my best to keep this one nice and tidy, I swear!

Who's the Writer: I'm still struggling with the answer, but I should try my best: I was born a little bit more than thirty years ago and I believe I'm quite happy with my fourth decade of life. I'm Italian – that's what you can read on my passport, at least – but I'm quite fluent in a (small) bunch of European languages, too. I like reading – a lot – and I love playing chess. I like so many authors that I can't come up with a proper list without feeling like I'm being unfair to any of them. I play the bass, I can't sing, I like rock music. Despite a somewhat nihilistic take on life and a bleak sense of humor, I'm quite open and friendly and laid-back (I am, I swear! Ask around!). I have been roleplaying for a little bit more than fifteen years and in various languages, but have only recently switched to thread-based roleplays. I only write in third person, past tense. I always use pictures for my characters, and I'd love my partners to do the same (it should be noted, though, that I'm not a fan of the manga / anime / hentai aesthetics). As a rule of thumb, I reply to every PM I receive and if I happen to lose interest in our story, you will be the first to know (but I will likely give it a chance or two to see if we can bring it back!). I don't care about your real gender, even though I will surely be interested in knowing more about you.

Posting Rate & Length: Still with me? Great! Now, posting frequency may (it does, in fact) vary due to work and real life. However, I try my best to post once a week for each of my stories (although I'm currently struggling with keeping up with owed posts!). Depending on my muse, I might be more prolific in certain stories, but I try not to leave anybody hanging for too long. Please note that English is not my native language and I have to put a lot of effort in my writing, which – combined with my work – makes me a much-dreaded slow writer (but I guess I'm somewhat improving regarding this!). I don't have a standard length and I can easily adapt to longer or shorter back-and-forth posts, as long as you give me enough material to work with (I will, of course, try to do the same!).

What I'm looking for: I'm looking for great writing partners, full stop. Your real-life gender doesn't mean much to me as long as you feel comfortable with the character(s) you're writing. Being able to bring your own ideas to the story is a big plus. If you're interested in a plot and want to get in touch, please make an effort and give me details (why do you like that specific idea, what would you add to it, do you have an idea for your character, etc.).

Using Pictures for References: Like I said, that's a very important thing to me. I put a lot of effort in finding the right face claim for the right story and sometimes (read: quite often) I happen to build stories around a certain picture. I'm okay with GIFs, too. I do not, however, use drawings and am not a huge fan of using porn actresses as face claims (with a few exceptions!).

Ons & Offs: You may want to refer to my O&Os page. It's purposely not too detailed and definitely not up-to-date, as I'm quite flexible regarding my own kinks (with a few exceptions).

...and here we go!

Name: Hey hey, my my... - why not?

Content: Light | Drugs & addiction | Some on-the-road shenanigans | MxF (or MxFxM or FxF or...)

Scenario: I think I've developed some sort of fascination for tales set in the world of rock-and-roll music and I would like to explore the long-gone era of early 90s rock through the story of two musicians. They could be bandmates or play in different acts (perhaps one is on the brink of commercial breakthrough, whereas the other is still somewhat underground), in which case they might be touring together. All in all, what I'd like to tell is the (love?) story of two deeply flawed (self-destructive?) human beings as they struggle to hit the stage every couple of days while keeping their addiction(s) at bay and survive through all the craziness of their fellow bandmates.

Setting: Anywhere across the US, really. I quite enjoy the freedom that comes with the whole "life on the road" trope. Please mind, however, that my knowledge of US geography largely derives from having been exposed pretty much all my life to its popular culture (TV series, movies, books, music, you name it!).

Requirements: As you may see, it's more of a sketch than a full-fledged idea and nothing - except perhaps the setting - is set in stone. First and foremost, I'm looking for someone who's willing to bring their own ideas to this story. I would say a good knowledge of the most popular bands of those years would be great, but it's not mandatory. Also, the prospective partner should be alright with a slower pace, as summer is coming but work ain't slowing down at all! I have also posted this one in the one-shot thread, but I would be more than happy to turn it into something longer if we both enjoy writing it.

Other info: I'm looking to play the F role in this one. I think I see this as an MxF story, but go ahead and change my mind!

Name: Barfleur, Normandy - why not?

Content: Light | Somewhat melancholic | Kindred spirits & broken people | age-gap (?) | MxF (or FxF)

Scenario: With a population of 564, the village of Barfleur has been resting asleep on the shores of the English Channel for the last thousand years, perhaps a bit more. Exposed to the unpredictable weather of the Channel, a large medallion fixed to a rock in the harbour marks the Normans' departure from Barfleur before the battle of Hastings. In the XXth century, the village came out unscathed from World War II and D-Day. Today? Today Barfleur ranks among the hundreds of French villages suffering from slow-but-unavoidable depopulation, a place where retired people go to spend their much-deserved pension and enjoy the peacefulness of a small seaside town, minus – of course – the occasional flood of tourists during summertime. All in all, Barfleur is not a place for young people, which is why many of the locals wonder just why Sophie, a mysterious 28-y.o. jeune femme from Nantes, has decided to take over the bar-and-guesthouse her late grandfather used to run. And what about this American stranger who doesn't speak a word of French?

Setting: The village of Barfleur, which I've never visited but looks nonetheless like the ideal place for the mood I'm looking for!

Requirements: As you may see, it's more of a sketch than a full-fledged idea and nothing - except perhaps the setting - is set in stone. First and foremost, I'm looking for someone who's willing to bring their own ideas to this story. I would say a good knowledge of the area is not needed (besides, I'd be happy to help with that if need be!). Also, the prospective partner should be alright with a slower pace, as summer is coming but work ain't slowing down at all!

Other info: I'm looking to play the F role in this one. I think I see this as an MxF story, but go ahead and change my mind!

Name: A Game of Cat and Mouse - why not?

Content: Light | Voyeurism/exhibitionism | age-gap (?) | MxF (can be talked into FxF)

Scenario: It happened on a late wintry afternoon, when Daniel was putting on some tea during a short break from his writing schedule. As he distractedly glanced at the window, he caught something – someone – out of the corner of his eye moving in his new neighbor's apartment. By the time he turned around, however, that fleeting shadow was already gone. A few seconds later, however, it happened again... and this time he unequivocally caught sight of a naked young woman walking across the room. He knew the girl's name – they had come across each other a couple of times in the building ever since she had moved in a couple of weeks before – and that was Mia. What he didn't know was just how much the girl got her kicks from roaming scantily-clad, if not buck naked, at home.

Setting: An apartment complex in some mid or large-sized city.

Also, the prospective partner should be alright with a slower pace!

Other info: I'm looking to play the F role in this one. I think I see this as an MxF story, but go ahead and change my mind!

Name: No Place Like Home - craving!

Content: Light | Nostalgia | Homecoming and reconnecting with one's past | FxF

Scenario: Ten years had gone by since the day Fiona bid farewell to her hometown, and yet the girl couldn't help but feel it all happened in the blink of an eye. Peeking out the large bus window as it slowly paraded across town, a sense of both familiarity and bewilderment began to flood in. Main Street was still wrapped in a comfortable drowsiness as the sun cast its first, hesitant rays over the lakeshore. She recognized the façade of her old high school – her parents mentioned something about plans of closing it down soon – and Milly's café right across the street. Old Joe's bookstore was no more, replaced by... nothing, Fiona realized upon sight of a red-painted 'For Rent' sign hanging on the shop window. Did the same thing happen to Wild Bunch record store? Two weeks was plenty of time to find out. Slowly, the bus came to a halt; a minute later she was collecting her bag out in the crisp morning air. "Fiona!", a voice called, "Over here!".

Who is it? And what brought Fiona back to her hometown after so long? I do have some thoughts about it, but I would like to hear yours first! All in all, I would like us to delve into perhaps the most humane of feelings – nostalgia. I would like to investigate what happens when our own personal geography (which largely relies on memory) is confronted with reality: the past is, indeed, "a foreign land" – why not explore it together?

Setting: A small-sized provincial town: can be anywhere in the US, really, as far as it comes with woods, a watercourse of any kind, perhaps a mountain, rainy afternoons, etc.

Requirements: Patience! I'm a slow writer – in fact, my writing schedule is heavily affected by my work. Duh, you might say, and I would agree... but when your work consists of, well, writing and you're not a native English speaker, well: let's just say it maybe does more! Besides that, I'm always up for discussion and brainstorming sessions, so... come join me!

Other info: Nothing is set in stone, really. Given the general idea, however, I believe this plot calls for a certain number of secondary characters and whatnot. I would happily let you write Fiona and take on the other F character who, by the way, doesn't need to be someone from her past or anything.

Name: We Know Who You Are - currently under discussion

Content: Light | Average Joe dates Porn Actress | Jealousy | Overcoming Prejudices | MxF

Scenario: His best friend was getting married and the program for the weekend-long bachelor party included hitting one of the most trendy clubs downtown: that is how Simon ended up standing in line for an over-priced cocktail in that bedlam of bodies, lights, smells, and sounds. That is how he stumbled on her, immediately recognizing her face despite having already had a drink too many. He chatted her up, bought her a drink and, hours later, woke up some time around noon in her apartment. He took a shower. They had breakfast together and it felt awkward. Both tender and awkward, in fact. Before he left, they exchanged phone numbers. Once out in the street, he fully realized what had happened that night: he hooked up with a porn actress, the kind of story that'd make him an absolute legend among his friends.

What happens when, a couple days later, he receives a message reading: Hey, uh... the other night was nice. Wanna grab a cup of coffee one of these days?

And yes, I know.

I know it's hard thinking of anything more cliché than the whole "regular guy dates porn actress" plot, right? Right. And yet, I believe that – given the right partner – it could be an interesting theme to explore in a story: the private life of someone who works in the adult industry. What I'd like to write is a story on the impact this has on the life of her SO – in fact, on their life as a couple. I believe we are all very familiar with the prejudices associated with people working in the industry of adult entertainment, as well as with its darker sides (stories of abuse, hazing, etc.). Now, things need not to (will not!) get sleazy: the girl here might be working for some classy, feminist-oriented productions – nonetheless, this will still feel like the good old elephant in the room.

What will his friends say? How will his family react? And how does he really feel about his SO's work? These (and many more) are the kind of themes into which I wish we could  delve.

Give me conflict and I'll be happy!

Setting: Some mid or large city in either the US or Europe (Berlin, Amsterdam, you-name-it!).

Requirements: A detail-oriented writer who doesn't care much about the whole plot-to-smut ratio and who will bring their own ideas to the table. A certain degree of patience is also required, as summer's kicking in and I already am a rather slow writer.

Other info: I'm looking to play the F role in this one and would very much welcome a partner willing to write the M. As I have stated in the first post here, I'm not a huge fan of the average porn-industry aesthetics, with a few exceptions. I do have a particular face claim in mind for the role, but we can discuss this through PMs.

Name: Summer of '69 - craving!

Content: Light | Late 60s | Some on-the-road shenanigans | MxF (or MxFxM or FxF or...)

Scenario: 1969. Sunny highways. Hippies & freaks. The Vietnam War. Rock music. Light and not-so-light drugs. Not a cell phone in sight. Yeah, you got it: I'd like to write a story set back in the late 60s / early 70s. Is it about a Don Draper-esque businessman falling for a young, careless flower child? Maybe it's the story of a runaway and the folks they meet back at the times when hitchhiking was still a thing? I'm really open about the pairing. What intrigues me is telling a story set in a decade when getting lost was still possible... and everything that comes with it!

Setting: California, perhaps? Or elsewhere around the US, really. Or, you know, Europe?

Requirements: As you may see, it's more of a sketch than a full-fledged idea and nothing - except perhaps the setting - is set in stone. First and foremost, I'm looking for someone who's willing to bring their own ideas to this story.

Name: Guiding Light - currently under discussion

Content: Light | FxF (or MxF) | Mentor-and-pupil relationship

Scenario: An up-and-coming young director participates in an independent film festival in Denmark. But what happens when, on the evening following the premiere, she runs into one of the directors that inspires her the most? I’m looking to tell the story of two kindred spirits – two women, ideally, but that can be changed – and the life-changing encounter each represents for the other. Themes may include a slight age gap, infidelity (?), sweetness against the background of Scandinavian white nights.

Setting: Denmark or another Scandinavian country!

Requirements: First and foremost, I'm looking for someone who's willing to bring their own ideas to this story. Partners of any gender for a long-term story. I would rather write the younger director, but can be talked into picking up the other character if my partners wishes to.

Other info: I'm looking to play the F role in this one. I think I see this as an FxF story, but can be talked into an MxF!

Name: Strange Bedfellows - craving!

Content: Light | unlikely couple | different cultures and lifestyles | MxF

Scenario: With his latest work ready to hit the shelves on the Spanish market, British novelist Mark Warden found himself embarked on a book tour across the Iberian peninsula. Barcelona went great. His presentation in Madrid kicked some ass, too, and the crowd in Valencia was lovely, wasn't it? That evening he was expected in Málaga for the last leg of his tour: just a few more bookstores around Andalusia before flying back home... or maybe he could stick around a bit longer and combine business with pleasure?

La Malagueta beach was swarming with old retirees and young folks alike. Lots of tourists, too, much like himself: the locals called them guiris, someone told him. He got out of water and walked back to his towel, only briefly distracted by the two topless girls sunbathing nearby. Reaching for his small backpack, he took his phone... and realized his wallet was missing. He checked the side pouch, too: nothing.

His wallet was gone, he realized. What he didn't know was that hours later it would be returned by this pretty, nameless girl in line to get her copy signed by him. Sure, the cash was gone (and there were little doubts it ended up in the girl's pocket), but his papers and cards were all there. He signed her copy – her name was Julieta – and ended up buying her drinks as a reward...

...and breakfast the following morning.

Setting: Spain, Andalusia.

Requirements: First and foremost, I'm looking for partners willing to write the M character and to bring their own ideas to this story. This can be a one-shot or we can work it out into something longer.

Other info: I'm looking to play the F role in this one, but may be talked into writing the M character with the right partner. Everything (their names, etc.) can be changed according to your preferences.

Haven't found anything you'd fancy writing, but still feel like we could be a great match? Shoot a PM!
