Relaxing in the back, a familiar head of blue hair stretches, one tentacle coming up to pat his mouth as he stifles a yawn. "Well, it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt... Then it's hilarious! Still, I second the nurse's office since I spend plenty of time in there myself, heh! ... No, not because of the Blissey and Audino nurses... It's totally not...!"

But yeah, I agree for a school with people wielding unique powers, a nurses office is going to definitely come in handy.

As for everything else... I dunno what the bath/shower arrangement looks like at present. Originally all rooms had their own showers/bathrooms  (bigger, joint rooms may even have had two I think?), but that could possibly change here. =p Either one sounds pretty fun, especially for the guy who can basically fade through walls.  :P

On a more serious note, I think you have listed up everything, I think the only thing I'm perhaps add to that, is a big park/garden.
Sorry, but not turning this roleplay into your own personal cemetery was part of your entry conditions. So no graveyard for you.
There'll definitely be a central park area, but I'll see if what else I can do.

Naiya is going to spend an ungodly amount of time in the swimming pool xD
But I suppose the only thing I can think to add would maybe be a nurse's office of some sort, granted at some point someone might get hurt *giggles*
Naiya is going to get wrinkly skin if she spends too much time in there though! Or does Pokegene protect her? :P
Was missing the Nurse's Office, thanks! If it weren't for you students would indefinitely get thrown into an empty classroom until they started smelling funny.

After giving it a fair bit of thought, I've decided to null what we had in the last game, and just have single rooms for all students. Characters can still discuss room placement (Room 101, 102, 103, etc), but I don't think it hurts to have a place on campus where people can truly be left alone. I don't expect people to hole up in their rooms much anyway, and there's no rule against having guest stay overnight if people do want to share a bed.

Using Hunter as a basis, I think it'd be more fun to have him wander into someone's room and have an interaction, than a shared room where it might not be as welcome. Imagine waking up and seeing some guy standing by your bedside... If more people want in on the interaction, a loud shout and nosy neighbors should be more than enough to make it a 3+ people interaction.

I'm also feeling generous with showers as well, so each room will be a self contained one room studio. Shower, Toilet, even a simple Kitchen!
I figured this is the best approach since it allows for the most freedom and breadth of ideas. If people want to do something inapporpriate publicly there's always the public toilets, public showers (sports building), pool, cafeteria, library, etcetc.

Hehe nah she won't look like a wrinkly raisin or anything ;3
Her skin is very much like that of a dolphin, super slick and soft to the touch though she does tend to have to soak in some form of water more often than others may ;3
Because drying out is a big no no xD

Campus is still under construction, so if anyone has any ideas, please tell me soon~

Those who contribute get rewards. I mean Naiya not only got a swimming pool, but a lake and beach too @_@
(Kidding, no rewards... well, besides my appreciation)

As you guys can see, lots of empty buildings. Can replace them with something else though, I've bulldozed quite a few buildings already.

That looks like a good start to me, how about a lighthouse by the beach?

MelodyCake

Hunter has a suggestion on how to fill in the blank spaces... Please note the lack of colors, so it means no flowers xD

Lets talk about my amazing editing skills... Maybe another time xD

All jokes aside, looking good!
I love that there is going to be a map, and that the map has a bit of a Pokemon feel to the look of it is pretty cool too :)

Another dark type with a dark past, you guys are so emo~ (Just kidding)
Luna sounds like she's quite the handful... but then again so is everyone else that's applied so far. Considering her love of books I'm pretty sure I know where she'll be spending much of her time. And it'd be interesting to see her cross paths with one of Anette's lewd books. I'm happy with the length of the character sheet, but it'd be nice if you could add a little bit that explains how she ended up at S4. Since it sounds like neither Luna or her father would be willing to part with one another. Though you can keep that a secret and reveal it in the IC if it's something significant.
Also going to add a quick disclaimer that characters will only have the first two powers, meaning Luna won't Moonlight at the start.
With all that said, she looks good and I'm happy to accept her into our very dysfunctional school.
Finding Anette's lewd books sounds hilarious to me, and might turn into a very dirty secret of hers. xD

As for the background part, I was worried about making it too long, so I tried to trim it as short as possible. Basically, Luna heard about the school and was excited but knew her father would disapprove. So she agonized over it for several weeks before finally scrounging up the nerve to ask him, only to find out he was shockingly supportive of the whole ideal. Luna was surprised and elated, only to find out after everything was said and done that her father had himself transferred to the town nearest the school and fully intended to remain firmly implanted within her life. Lmfao. To put it short.

And my mistake on the first two powers thing. ^^; Whoopsy!

As for the school, what's the town it's in? And I know Luna will be happy about the park and library. Can there be a little dog park area nearby too? <.<; And are they allowed to own pets?

Seduce my mind and my body will follow.

Can't speak for Rynn, but considering the size of the beach, it doesn't seem likely they'd plant a lighthouse there, there probably would be one there somewhere, but probably more off the map. But maybe a look out tower could work? Oh, or like a beach gazebo (I think that is what they are called? XD)

A lookout tower sounds good! And romantic

One thing you might want to have is some undeveloped areas of different environments, so that the students can get better in touch with their inner pokemon

Name: Huxley Cotton
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Height: 6'0"
Orientation: Heterosexual
Parentage: Lycanroc
Type: Rock
Powers: (Pick four powers based on your Parent Pokemon. It can be a move they learn naturally, or an abstract interpretation of the characters gimmick and lore. Eg; Ditto’s squishy body, or Zoroark Illusionary powers being used in a certain way. You start with the first two, the other two will be unlocked as the game progresses. If you get stuck just ask for help in the thread and I’m sure people would be happy to offer suggestions.)
Accelerock : The trademark Lycanroc move, Huxley can strike with both great agility and some added strength, it can be tiring on his part if he uses it too much however.
Fists of stone: In lieu of the rocky mane of his lineage, Huxley can call on nearby stones to cover his hands - acting instead as a pair of stony gauntlets.
-
-

What were they doing prior to arriving at S4?
Huxley is not from Alola as some might suspect - given that's where Lycanroc come from. Rather, he's from the Unova region - his parents having traveled there from Alola. With his mother being human and his father a pokemon, his mother thought it best to explain that his father had left her at first, not willing to let her child knew that his father was a pokemon. This decision was only further cemented when hybrids slowly became more stigmatized by others. In fact, huxley only found out he was a hybrid proper a little later on, getting into a fight with a bully when more animalistic instincts kicked in, and nearby rocks slammed into the teen he was fighting. After that it was a quick move away from Castelia city to avoid any potential trouble,to moving to a smaller town in Unova - Accumula town. With less people around, and Huxley still very confused about what had gone on, his mother explained the basics - that his father wasn't human, and that he was a hybrid. While he wasn't angry, it left him deeply upset at learning the truth, and knowing he was 'different'.

When the S4 academy began accepting students, it was Huxley's decision to apply as soon as possible, wanting to be with others like him and hoping to understand more about his own unique nature - and maybe get a good grip on how to control it better.
How do they like to spend their free time? Hobbies? Interests?
He's not really an unusual kid in that aspect. he likes games (Fighting games especially), he had a social circle of fiends before the move that he would hang out with. One particular hobby he does enjoy is cooking, and hopes to continue pursuing it in school. He also enjoys exercising and keeping fit, and has a fondness for hiking - moreso after realizing his nature and finding himself a little more attuned to nature. On particular lazy days, he may just watch something on television or listen to music.

Truth be told he actually has a slight competitive streak, though this only really manifests in him when something's on the line. IE: A bet.

What are a few things they dislike or just can’t stand?

He can't really stand others picking on other people - especially if the others cant fight back. To him, such people are just jerks who need to be taught a lesson. He can also take some things a bit personally - eg: If someone says his cooking is mediocre, he'd be fairly upset by that given he has some pride in being able to cook for himself and others. He's pretty direct and to the point about things, so people who are obtuse, or just overly complex and complicated things can leave him feeling a little cagey as he struggles with them. Lastly, he really does not like people without a sense of humor about things. Gotta be able to laugh, right?

What do they see themselves doing after graduating S4?

He'd like to be a Pokemon Ranger, he feels. Something about going out into the wilds, dealing with pokemon, and bringing justice to poachers or people who seek to abuse wild pokemon is just something that clicks with him. He's not 100% dedicated to the idea given he's still trying to figure out himself, but he has to admit it's a really tempting idea at the moment and it's something that a Hybrid could excel at, right?

----

Okay, I hope this looks decent. I do have to admit I feel I was reaching a little with his second 'ability' but at the same time, Lycanroc's rocky mane doesn't really work well on a person, you know? So i'm open to changing that. Lastly, I'm not 100% sold on my character art for him since it's based off of Midnight Lycanroc and I was looking for either dusk or just midday Lycanroc, since those fit his personality better. So if anyone has any suggestions or help for that i'm all for it.

I'll be setting the school in it's own fictional location for two reasons. I don't want to forcefully shove it into an existing town, and the school should be a fair distance away from any human settlement anyway. Imagine if mutants from X-men setup their school in the middle of a bustling metropolis. It wouldn't end well, and residents wouldn't be too comfortable with that. There can be a fictional town setup nearby if people are keen on that. But I'm thinking of setting it up on an Island. Probably some random island south of Johto (since that's where a different roleplay I joined setup their school, and I can't think of anywhere better).

As suggested by Melody, there's a park/outdoor area in the school. And there's also a forested area up north. Don't really think a dog park is appropriate however in a world teeming with all sort of animals. It'd be like making a park for Growlithe/Houndours/etc exclusively, and that just seems weird.

Heya Changing! Cutting straight to the chase here, Huxley is accepted!
If you (or anyone else) wants to change their powers over the next few days, please feel free to do so. I'll be reviewing all character sheets again before setting them up in a character thread. And my expectation is that there won't be any issues. I mean, I haven't had any issues with powers yet (besides accidental miscounts of how many people have).

Amarlo

I'd suggest it being within easy travelling distance to a town simply for the fact University students tend to like going to things outside of their school. Like carnivals, dates, bowling, and any number of things. Cooping a bunch of college students only to a college campus, while trying to give the illusion of choice, is asking for trouble! Lol!

As much as I would like to put a town within walking distance of the school, I'm not really convinced that it works well with the premise of the roleplay. Sabrina's School is centered around raising pokemon-people hybrids who aren't widely known by the world yet. Making out with pokemon is undoubtedly taboo in the pokemon world, so society wouldn't be all too kind towards our characters (hence the reason most of the character backgrounds have tried to keep their mixed birth a secret). There'd also be a lot of people who are afraid of pokemon-people hybrids, since they have unusual powers. And then there's people that are just haters for the sake of being haters.

Putting  the academy within walking distance would cause a problem to both the students (who risk getting harassed by normal humans, and townsfolk (who aren't comfortable with weird freaky people freely walking around). So it's better to keep the academy away from society as a whole. While the setting is based in a school, it might be better to think of the setting as an advanced training camp. Carnivals, dates, bowling, movies, etc can happen. But it'd be much more personal home-scale events. Like the school organizing a beach side barbecue or an athletics carnival. I'm also looking forward to individual players setting up their own small events for themselves like a movie night with friends sort of thing.

I'm sure Syke would love some huge obstacle course outside of some sort or a cozy dark lounge/music room somewhere! Then again I'm sure he'll be spending most of his time in the gym.

Rynn

A huge thank you to everyone that has offered up a suggestion! I've taken each and every one of them into consideration... and while not everything has made it in. I'm pretty satisfied with the end result.

BekahBoo - Can't believe I forgot to add a Medical Center
MelodyCake - Added Central Park for quiet, and a Beachside Park for more social gatherings.
HalfTime -  Suggested a lighthouse... that got turned into a Watch Tower... that ended up looking more like a lighthouse
Idlewyld - Suggested Undeveloped Areas which will be added to the Island. They just aren't visible on the Campus map.
Amarlo - Couldn't add a nearby town, but their suggestion has made me want to beef up the swimming pool into a full blown Recreation Center
Z Kami - Suggested an obstacle course. Initially I thought the Athletics Field would be enough, but combining a few of the other suggestions, I've decided to add a Events Stadium. A place that's usually locked, but will a place that's constantly terraformed by pokemon. Best way to think of it is Pokemon Stadium from the Super Smash games. Yes, we can even turn it into a temporary graveyard.... bodies not included

Will be giving each facility a more indepth explanation over the next few days. For example a stocked music room will exist in the general club rooms, computer access in the library, and details on what a Recreation Center involves. Could even add a nursery for pokemon in the Medical Center if people are keen.

IMPORTANT: I've just been advised by my internet provider that they'll be doing some maintenance work in my area this week. They've assured me that the outage will be no more than a few hours. But considering their shitty track record I might be gone for a day or two. It shouldn't be any more than that though since I've made a personal pledge to cancel my contract with them and go with a new provider if they stuff it up. Internet I can literally plug and play (mobile data stuff). So if I do disappear I should be back Friday. Monday at the absolute latest. In the mean time? Plenty of worldbuilding I need to write up, so expect things to move quickly if there is a delay.

MelodyCake

Yay! Hunter will be so happy, he got his graveyard <3

But I am really liking how the map looks now :) So much to do, I'm actually looking forward what sort of clubs will pop up :P I don't think it will be very traditional groups :P

JoanieSappho

I imagine the library's going to be pretty busy, and/or there'll be a book club, considering how many readers we seem to have.  :P

Amarlo

Oooh! A recreation center sounds great! I'm still a little saddened by the lack of a nearby town though. It sounded like there could have been all sorts of fun drama there x3

Name: Haruka Morinokuni
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Height: 5'5"
Orientation: Heterosexual
Parentage: Liligant
Type: Grass
Powers:
-Partly Plant: Haruka has some leaves along the crown of her head, which she can use to deliver Grass type moves that a Petilil can pull off. This includes spores and powders, which she ends up releasing when she gets too agitated.
-Medicinal: Haruka emanates a comforting scent that soothes the nerves. She can also use the leaves on her head to give others a pick-me-up if they're exhausted.

-Haruka has yet to display other capabilities aside from those mentioned above.
-Plant Choreography: a step up from her original powers, allowing her to command non-Pokemon plants. The plants will respond to the best of their ability as long as they are 10 meters from her.
-Plant Charisma: Grass type Pokemon start following Haruka around, attracted by her charms.

What were they doing prior to arriving at S4?
Haruka was the best kept secret of her family, a known prestigious family in the field of exploratory botany. She was the result of an unexpected passion between her father and a Liligant under the family's care. While the act was frowned upon by the society, it was a chance too good for the Morinokuni family to pass up on. Secrets were kept, and Haruka grew up in a very sheltered and homeschooled life for most of her life. Those involved in her upbringing within the family's estate were sworn to secrecy.

The family also used this as an opportunity to advance their knowledge on the results of a pokemon hybrid - a rare opportunity since such an individual would be hard to find. Haruka was asked to accomplish various tests and undergo examinations (that she believed to be normal ever since). To her, the estate was the only world she knew. Things started getting difficult as the girl entered her teens, and she soon yearned to see more than just the (now perceived) confines of the walls around the family's estate. The family was able to call in a favor with Sabrina through their connections, and it was arranged for the young woman to transfer to the school under discrete circumstances.

How do they like to spend their free time? Hobbies? Interests?
If there is anything Haruka enjoyed doing the most, it would be dancing. She would almost always be seen dancing in some way or the other, whether it be just walking from one place to another, tending to plants, or dressing up. It takes a lot of conscious effort on her behalf to sit still.

She also loves to spend time tending to plants and staying out in the sun. She is most often found spending a great deal of her time in gardens when allowed to.

What are a few things they dislike or just can’t stand?
Haruka couldn't stand dark places and cramped areas, preferring to be in well-lit spacious locations at any time. She also has a strong aversion to fire, and finds herself taking to safe distances as soon as she thinks there is a fire happening in the vicinity.

Living in a rich household since her birth has taught Haruka be mindful of her manners, and she feels it is her responsibility to reprimand those who lacked such manners.

What do they see themselves doing after graduating S4?
There are several things that Haruka wished to do once she graduates from S4, but the most important one to her is to see the world. She feels she could see and learn a lot more outside the grounds of the estate she grew up in and the campus she will end up studying in.

And here we go.  Took a bit but here's my sheet.

Name: Bryn Lumen
Age: (Between 19
Gender: Male
Height: 5’0” (152.4 cm)
Orientation: Pansexual
Parentage: Midnight Lycanroc
Type: Rock
Powers:

- Rock Throw:  The first move that Bryn inherited is not the flashiest or really a special move at all. Instead of  generating rocks or anything fancy it’s manifested itself as the strength to throw boulders, that is to say enhanced strength despite his diminutive size.

- Reversal: Another less than flashy move that has manifested itself in interesting ways. While under pressure or in dire situations Bryn’s abilities increase, the worse they are the greater the returns. This has the unfortunate downside however of leaving him clumsy and prone to attracting trouble or misfortune in most normal situations though.

- Odor sleuth: Another ability that has manifested itself in less than direct methods, the ability manifests itself in two ways enhancing his senses to match those of a pokemon or animal and putting him more in tune with his animal instincts.

-  Counter: His final power is a manifestation traditional specialty of the Midnight Lycanroc, counter. It like most of his abilities is pretty simple but effective. When he takes a hit he hits back even harder, channeling the force he’s hit with and adding it to the next strike, sometimes causing special effects depending on the original effect. Of course, it doesn’t matter how hard he hits back if the blow knocks him out first.

What were they doing prior to arriving at S4?
Bryn has spent most of his life on his own. Not that that had bothered him too much. He had lived well enough despite being on his own and to be honest he enjoyed his life. Sure, he wasn’t a wealthy heir or anything, but he could always find someone to give him a hot  meal or let him spend the night at their home or week, with the latest he could remember being a couple months. He never really got to stay with people longer than that. They weren’t cruel or anything it was just well he seemed to call trouble or accidents a little too often. He’d get hired as worker or a servant or given some other menial job and then something would happen. Tripping and pushing the boss down the stairs on accident, a bookshelf full of valuables collapsing when he went to dust it, or a pack of houndoom and houndour howling outside the window every night so nobody could sleep. Eventually it all ended the same way with him kicked out and having to find a new place.

None of it bothered him though. despite it all he had a smile on his face and make the best of his current situation or find some kind of silver lining. He enjoyed his life and the unique experiences it provided him. Sometimes it was a little lonely or a little cold but nothing he couldn’t handle. Eventually he came across rumors and advertisements for S4. Curious and not having anything better to do he went to investigate. Once he found out more about the school he was eager to sign up and did so. It seemed like a fun place and fun was always a good thing to have. Besides what could possibly go wrong?

How do they like to spend their free time? Hobbies? Interests?
Bryn likes the outdoors, physical activities, games, anything fun really, and he always gives it all that he’s got. It doesn’t take much to get him fully involved in something and once he is he doesn’t quit. He charges full speed ahead no matter what he’s working on at the time especially if it involves helping somebody else in the process.  Things are always better when it involves helping others after all! Of course, the occasional nap surrounded by a bunch of warm fuzzy or furry blankets or being a little pampered isn’t so bad every once in a while, either.

What are a few things they dislike or just can’t stand?
Bryn absolutely cannot stand letting someone suffer when he can help. He’d rather hurt himself than let someone else hurt for him. He also hates having to give up and can be rather stubborn about refusing to quit until he’s finished, or he’s forced to stop. He’s a bit sensitive of his height and being underestimated because of it. He’s super fierce darn it not powerless and besides being left behind because someone thinks he won’t be able to help isn’t any fun. Also tends to have a heavy heavy dislike, not scared at all of course, of large bodies of water and even baths make him nervous.

What do they see themselves doing after graduating S4?
Being a bodyguard would be really nice and one of his favorite possibilities. But it isn’t the only thing he wants to do if that doesn’t work out. Security, police work, disaster relief, anything that lets him help other people would be really nice and preferably something with a bit of excitement and physical activity or protect people. Of course, it’ll be a little hard to find someone to hire him given his size but he’ll prove to everybody he’s more than capable of handling himself.

Haha, I can already picture some funny moments with Haruka and Hunter xD Considering his aversion to flowers :P But she sounds very cute, and her sheltered upbringing perhaps has made her a little too clueless for this cast, considering all of the trouble makers so far :P
But it is nice to see you again!
I do have a question, how is Haruka around cats?
jk jk

@Avalon
Just want to start with saying, he's very cute, I think Hunter might just give him a loving lick at some point :P Are those gloves?
But dawww, the clumsy helper, sounds like he's more likely to make things worse when stepping into a scenario then helping it xD But it is the thought that counts, right? :P
