Sabrina’s School for Special Students

Welcome to the world of Pokemon!
For as long as history records, humanity has lived hand in hand with peculiar creatures known as Pokemon. Together they have played, worked, lived, and help each other grow into becoming the people/pokemon they truly wish to be. Both have enjoyed immeasurably from the partnership between them, but that’s not to say it doesn’t come with it’s fair share of trouble. When two souls form an unbreakable bond with one another, intimate events are bound to occur, and in certain cases, these unions end up bearing fruit.

Pokemon are innately capable of great feats of strength and power far beyond anything most people could ever hope to achieve. Whereas Humans are known for the ingenuity and ability to adapt, a skill that most Pokemon (especially on short notice) can seldom achieve.
When a child is born to both human and pokemon parents however, they often inherit the strength from both sides of their heritage. Gaining the strength and powers of Pokemon, while also retaining the instinctive adaptability and propensity for inventiveness of humanity.

In the past such individuals have been vanishingly rare, with no more than a small handful being born in each decade. For the most part they’ve been nothing more than urban legends or stories read to young children before they’re sent off to bed. But things have changed over the past twenty years. With an unprecedented number of poke-human hybrids being born each year, authorities have struggled to keep them concealed, and concerned voices have started to sound from the general public.
Historically speaking, for each hybrid that has enriched the world immensely, another has been responsible for some of the greatest crimes and tragedies. Before the more panicked could take matters into their own hands and cause an uprising all would later regret, a special plan was put in place for the good of all.

Sabrina’s School for Special Students, colloquially known as S4 is an institution that places the utmost importance on gifted individuals not only learning to control and use their powers ethically, but also using them to make the world a better place for everyone. The school is led by none other than Sabrina herself, former leader of the Saffron City Gym. Having both the experience of having an Alakazam father, and the expertise needed in controlling the situation in instances where things might possibly turn sour.

Character Creation
As you’ve probably guessed already, your character is one of the numerous hybrids attending the school. Your character should be mostly if not completely human in appearance. But they may have inherited certain quirks, abilities, skills, and techniques that correlate to the pokemon that fathered or mother them. Broadly speaking hybrids can be categorized into two categories. Hybrids that are born with weak but noticeable features/powers, and hybrids that gradually develop their abilities and skills as they grow older (generally sometime after their tenth birthday).

It’s up to you to decide your characters upbringing, though in almost all instances they would have been discouraged or suppressed from using their powers in front of the public. They could have led happy lives with their parent/s, taken away and raised in an institution, or be raised in the wild for awhile after being abandoned, your choices are practically limitless. Though keep it reasonable. I don’t want to see any characters being adopted by legendaries and conquering regions pre-story.

I love the concept too~
It's a shame that I can't take credit for coming up with it~

If you've got any questions, suggestions, or just want to clarify something. Give me a shout and I'll try to answer as best I can.
At the moment I'm trying to gather up as much interest as I possibly can. So any expressions of interest, even if you're not sure you can handle it would be appreciated. People can also start working on their character sheet if they want... but others are just as welcome to wait until I've posted my own characters as examples. Should be sometime tomorrow or the day after.

Gardsorm

As someone who joined the original incarnation of this game, I'm happy to see this idea come back. I'll be happy to throw my lot in once again with the idea! I had to clear some stuff from my list but I think I can squeeze this in now.

Need to come up with a new idea first though...

JoanieSappho

You know you have my interest, and my ditto of varying gender.  :P

Well definitely interested have a couple of Ideas  well more then a couple so have to decide on one.

Name: Abel M. Schneider
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Height: 6 feet, 2 inches
Orientation: Bi-Curious but severely picky
Parentage: Jellicent
Type: Water
Powers:
- Water Manipulation - As the son of a Jellicent, he's got the ability to manipulate water at the tip of his hidden tentacles (and generally his fingertips). His degree of control, however, is not yet great; At best he can manipulate water in small amounts and adjust moisture in a very small area. He loves making bubbles on a whim though.
- Tentacles - Wouldn't be the kid of a squ- Sorry, jellyfish, without them. He possesses five in total, two of which that can reach farther than others and are designed differently. The biggest two tend to emerge from just below his shoulders from behind, while the last three emerge from his lower mid-back. Most of the time they stay hidden but he can easily manifest these when it suits him best. Despite their wide utility, their reach is still shorter than that of a Tentacruel; However they still remain his most effective, constant power.

- Cellular Restructuring - As someone possessing Jellicent genetics, Abel is afforded rather potent control over the cells in his own body. This can mean a number of things, but the biggest among them are the facts that he has above average self-healing capacity, and the capability to vanish by altering his cells to produce a watery film (in conjunction with Water Manipulation) to coat his body that bends and refracts light. The other uses of this power remains to be seen.
-

What were they doing prior to arriving at S4?
Abel was being taken care of by his older brother, who works as a traveling scientist for Silph Co in Saffron City, in the absence of parents who could not be around as much... Not that his older brother was any better, but as the one who had to provide and maintain housing, he didn't have a choice in where he could spend his time. Nevertheless, as a result Abel began to grow less reliant and more distant from his elder sibling, and started discovered how to best take advantage of his powers and unique disposition for his own benefit. However, this would begin to draw undue attention and even trouble back home, putting their home state in jeopardy until the discovery of Sabrina's School was made. Seeing it as a chance for Abel to get an education and be among others like him, he was enrolled in the academy... Though for better or worse, Abel has realized that more room to maneuver and people to play with may or may not necessarily be a good thing...

How do they like to spend their free time? Hobbies? Interests?
Abel loves to discover how to best utilize and apply his powers to daily tasks... Or to generally be a nuisance to others. As one who didn't grow up with any friends, his approach to making friends is simply 'Don't bother', and instead delights in causing mischief or otherwise problems for others. Many of these things are minor, like spooking people into thinking he's dead before surprising then, or giving them stinging pokes with his tentacles, or taking their food or belongings while they face another direction... But in a way this behavior is how he finds people he enjoys interacting with. He also enjoys being less active, just lounging about playing games or watching cartoons in his dorm, though he hasn't really attempted to find anyone else to spend thsee passtimes with. Finally, he has a fondness for superheroes and supervillains, probably the most innocent thing he's picked up from his childhood, and one of many things he doesn't like others knowing about.

What are a few things they dislike or just can’t stand?
It's hard to tell with Abel. His behavior seems to imply he doesn't like anyone else, but the frequency of which he interacts with people may certainly lead one to assume otherwise. He doesn't like dry places very much at all, however, as he dries out far easier than anyone else, even with sunblock or plenty of water. As a result he doesn't like Fire types very much despite his advantage over them, as someone with too hot a temperature can dehydrate him faster than others. Meanwhile, despite a weakness to them, he doesn't mind Grass types terribly, but unchecked can do the same thing to him as a strong enough Fire type can as well. From other people, he dislikes bossy people more than anything. Bossy, intellectual types who think themselves above others or too good for people. Basically people that remind him of his elder sibling.

What do they see themselves doing after graduating S4?
He hasn't put much thought into this yet because he doesn't know if they'll even keep him in the academy for that long. However, he does want to be able to find his parents again, wherever they are in the world. In addition, his other hopes and dreams may be seen as more grandiose/stupid, so he declines to share them if prompted (though this information is likely easily accessed by Psychic types), but he wants to be a hero. Yes... A hero in the Pokemon world. No doubt there are those who were like him and sought to test their powers and slipped further into dark designs, and so he wants to be able to mete out valiant justice to wrongdoers in ways that separate him from his cartoon icons of old. But, again, designs that seem childish and dumb that causes him to not want to share this information with anyone else.

Quick Question: I've just had someone ask me if I'd be willing to change the character minimum age limit from 16 to 18. Would anyone have an issue with that? I'm not too fussed personally, but Elliquiy is weird with it's character age rules (Allowing 16y characters, but them having to look 18y). So putting the age limit in this game up for consistency might not be a bad call.

As someone who remembers you from the original incarnation of the game, it'd be great to have you! There were a lot of interesting characters in the original iteration, so I'm hoping for something just as good, if not better~
Whether you've succeeded or not is a tough one, Abel looks great! But so did your old character... so I guess I'll have to sit tight and see if you're an evolving Gardsorm, or a devolving Gardworm <3

I know, but did you know I'm not giving it back? I've used lick on your interest, so it's mine now. Were you planning on having a character that looks gender ambiguous, or two primary forms it shifts back and forth between? Either way it sounds like a character that'll be a lot of fun to have around.

Well definitely interested have a couple of Ideas  well more then a couple so have to decide on one.
Since I'm not restricting it to one character per pokemon type, you're free to take your time. Considering how many pokemon there are out there it shouldn't be an issue anyway. If you want to stake your claim over a pokemon though let me know, generally that's enough to dissuade others from going with the same concept. Since most agree that variety is a spice of life roleplaying~

Just finished writing up my own character, so I'll post her up! Keep in mind though that she's a 'teacher' character, and as a result her abilities are a bit over the top compared to what I expect from players.

Just finished writing up my own character, so I'll post her up! Keep in mind though that she's a 'teacher' character, and as a result her abilities are a bit over the top compared to what I expect from players.

Name: Adyra Arkalaos
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Height: 5’11”
Orientation: Bisexual
Parentage: Ninetales
Type: Fire
Powers:
- Quick Attack: Greatly hastens her physical movements momentarily, generally used to catch delinquents, or smack delinquents upside the head.
- Hypnosis: Adyra’s crimson eyes begin to glow hypnotically, easing her target into a sense of blissful comfort before lulling them into a deep sleep.
- Seal Power: Allows Adyra to disable and seal one character’s powers for up to 24 hours. (Based on Imprison, but more like Disable).
- Fire Spin: Summons a intense burst of fire to surround and trap a designated target. (Also includes basic flame manipulation).

What were they doing prior to arriving at S4?
As a child, Adyra was a rebellious little runt that caused an immeasurable amount of grief and suffering to those around her. A thoroughbred even amongst the dirtiest of delinquents, she spent much of her time stealing from stores, vandalizing property, and starting brawls with both people and pokemon alike. Her actions were admonished firmly by her father each and every time, but to little effect things continued to get worse as Adyra grew older with each year. Selfish, spoiled, and highly temperamental, Adyra didn’t really have anyone who she could refer to as a friend. Though, to be fair a lot of that had more to do with her being constantly moved around. Whenever Adyra’s amassed enough of a reputation to cause a notable stir, her father moved her along. Travelling to and through countless villages, towns, and cities. Adyra’s life ironically took a turn for the better several years later when both Adyra and her father were finally tracked down by authorities. Forced to choose between facing criminal charges and taking part in a reform program, the choice was practically made for her. The reform program would later be up-scaled to form the foundations of S4.

How do they like to spend their free time? Hobbies? Interests?
Adyra’s grown significantly both mentally and physically but that isn’t to say she’s managed to completely overcome her numerous shortcomings. Sure, she’s managed to develop a genuine interest in the care and nurturing of her assigned ‘students.’ But her trouble-stirring tendencies are ever-present, and always lurking just beneath the surface of whatever professionalism she’s managed to masquerade herself in. It might just be an inherent aspect of the fire type within her, but she does enjoy watching things burn down around her, and by association that means she has a tendency towards fueling any drama, chaos or misunderstandings that occur around her. If she’s not working, meddling, or slovenly lounging around somewhere warm, there’s a chance she’s working on one of her pet crafting projects. She’s horrible with flimsy leafy stuff like paper and wood, but she’s proven herself quite capable in activities such as sculpting, shaping and forging.

What are a few things they dislike or just can’t stand?
There’s a lot of things Adyra isn’t fond of, but if she had to bring something up above all else she’d probably list complexity as her top pick. Adyra prefers to live and think in simple terms, meaning that problems always have a right and wrong answer. Even if both solutions seem workable, one always has to be better than the other. And in Adyra’s case she chooses the better one not based on logical thinking, but on gut instinct. Her philosophy applies equally to people as well, and she can’t stand people who are indecisive or frequently opt for inaction. As far as she’s concerned it’s better to do something and fail, than spend an eternity wondering. Adyra likes to live actively, hence passivity and politeness aren’t her forte. She’s much rather deal with an openly rebellious student than have someone hold the door open for her. She dislikes people who remind her she's older than them.

What do they see themselves doing after graduating S4?
She never imagined herself working for Sabrina. Especially not considering the innumerable times they they butted heads back in the institution... Okay it was more a one sided tantrum followed by harsh reprimanding. But when the offer to teach at S4 was made, Adyra found herself accepting with enthusiasm. She doesn’t know if she wants to spend her entire life working with pokemon-people hybrids . But she supposes she wouldn’t mind it either. Her prior dream of opening up her own cafe somewhere seems unlikely anyway considering her abysmal cooking skills.

Got something else for you to lick on, then ...

Also, kinda both? Was kinda planning on their usual form literally being 'neither' in terms of gender, with male, female and both as available options, because genderless shapeshifting pokemon.

Name: Robin Hawthorn
Age: 20
Gender: Variable, usually neuter
Height: Usual form 5'6''
Orientation: Pansexual
Parentage: Ditto
Type: Normal
Powers:
- Shapeshifting: Robin's form is entirely a matter of choice, from build to gender to hair colour, and can be adjusted at will. They do not, however, gain any special powers from those that they imitate this way, but neither do they require them to be present as with Transform.
- Amorphous Body: While their form is naturally one of flesh and bone, Robin is capable, with some effort, of forcing themselves into a gooey form similar to that of a Ditto, capable of moving through small openings in this state.
-
-

What were they doing prior to arriving at S4?
Robin has spent most of their life avoiding official attention. At first, during their early childhood, this was due to their lack of control over their abilities and frequent shapeshifting. While they did try to go to school, this only worked until they reached puberty and then, well, Robin admits that this part was their own fault, giving in to their suddenly extremely strong drives and being far more interested in messing around with boys and girls of their age than actually bothering to do anything.
And then Robin discovered that, much like their Ditto father, it was extremely easy for them to get pregnant, even if the body they were in had been male at the time.

Not wanting to believe that they were a parent after receiving a blowjob from a guy, the father of Robin's daughter had no more involvement in either of their lives after that point and while Robin got some support from their very small family, taking care of their child became their immediate and greatest priority. They never finished their education, and took what jobs they could get despite that, barely managing to get by. While the idea of using their abilities in less legal ways certainly did occur to Robin, they never felt quite desperate enough to go that far.

They almost refused to attend Sabrina's School once they were found, until the promise of childcare and a chance at a better life was made.

How do they like to spend their free time? Hobbies? Interests?
Robin likes to spend most of their free time, when possible, with their daughter, but otherwise enjoys reading and sewing, almost always having a book partway through reading and a project to sew up.

What are a few things they dislike or just can’t stand?
Robin has a very strong dislike of cheaters and being looked down on for being a single parent at their age. Otherwise, they dislike cooked carrots and crowds. They're also kinda annoyed by their own sex drive and its constant attempts to get them into further trouble.

What do they see themselves doing after graduating S4?
While they would quite like to find someone reliable to settle down with, Robin's main goals in life tend to revolve around their child. A good job, a good home and somehow also enough free time to spend with their daughter is what they want most.

#16

Name: Anette Larson
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Height: 5' 4"
Orientation: Bisexual
Parentage: Lickitung
Type: Normal
Powers:
-Lick: Anette's tongue can extend up to 7 feet, and is as dexterous as her hands. Her saliva causes temporary numbness and paralysis on contact, but she can turn that off at will. Her tongue is also remarkably strong, able to lift up to 85 pounds of weight, and is able to lash out much faster than her usually slow movements.
-Supersonic: She can release a deep hum that gives people around her vertigo, with sustained exposure causing nausea and headaches. She is immune to the effects of her own hum, as are most people based off of a Pokemon with the Soundproof or Own Tempo abilities.
-Refresh: Anette can purge negative effects from herself, such as toxins, and can heal minor scrapes, cuts, and burns. It also has the physical effect of a full night's restful sleep, and can cure fatigue.
-Power Whip: With a sudden surge of strength, she can smash her tongue down harshly on anyone or anything unfortunate enough to get in the way. Gives her a tongue cramp afterwards, so she prefers not to use it often.

What were they doing prior to arriving at S4?
Anette was raised by her mom and stepdad in the suburbs, where she was coddled and spoiled for most of her life. When she was a youngster, her mother was fearful that her powers would be discovered and she would be ostracized, so she acted as a helicopter parent and carefully monitored her daughter as much as she could. The overprotectiveness began to dwindle as Anette got older, as she developed into a lazy and unemotional young lady who never really drew any attention to herself. As her daughter never made any trouble, the mother felt like she could loosen her leash slightly.

Unfortunately, her secret couldn't remain secret forever. Anette was picking her younger stepbrother up from school one day, only to find him being accosted by bullies. Anette intervened and gave them a (very literal) tongue-lashing, sending them off beaten and slimy. The bullies complained to their parents, the parents complained to the school board, and within the week Anette was shipped off to S4, to her parent's chagrin.

How do they like to spend their free time? Hobbies? Interests?
An avid reader, Anette has a massive collection of literature, both physical copies and eBooks. Most of her time is spent with her nose in a book or on her tablet, blocking out the world around her and immersing herself in fantasy worlds. Most who see her staring intently at her books think she's a studious person, but that couldn't be further form the truth. The fact of the matter is, the majority of her collection is smut; she has taken an interest in collecting trashy romance novels and strange niche erotica. The books she reads in public are usually hollowed out to conceal the actual novels inside, her blank face giving nothing away.

She also considers herself a foodie, particularly when it comes to sweets. Her sensitive taste buds can pick out subtle flavors, and she delights in stuffing her face with all sorts of confectioneries. She's quite a talented cook, and most of her non-erotic books are recipe books..

What are a few things they dislike or just can’t stand?
Anette hates exerting herself, whether physically or mentally. Her natural laziness and coddled upbringing make her unenthusiastic about schoolwork and sports, and she tries her best to scrape by while doing as little as possible. Although not fat, she's in terrible shape and a slow runner, giving her a particular vendetta against sporting events. She also hates loud noises, finding them very distracting and obnoxious.

What do they see themselves doing after graduating S4?
She has put very little thought into her future, as she doesn't see many ways her powers would be practical in a workplace. Whenever asked about her dreams or aspirations, she just shrugs and says "I dunno, I guess a writer or something?"

Offs/Ons:
Anette is a switch.
Ons: Anal, Blowjobs, Cunnilingus, Facesitting, Kissing, Licking, Cuddling, Titjobs, Thighjobs, Exhibitionism, Feet/Footjobs, Consensual, Dubcon/Noncon, Rimjobs, Voyeurism, Open to most kinks
Offs: Torture, Gore, Scat, Knots, Necrophilia, Quadrupeds

Let me start by saying "I did not expect a Lickitung, nevermind a female one!"
I'm not complaining though, in fact I actually like it (and I'm sure I'm not the only one). The character's left me very curious too... and I'm wondering laziness and enthusiasm translate into her reading? She's obviously the type to read alone... but if someone found out her secret would she start getting all excited, recommending certain pieces of literature? Or would she still be quiet and reserved? Perhaps a bit of both quietly implying.

I like the character, and the profile section is done really well. So I really want to accept her...
But I'm not sure I'm allowed to? I haven't come across the rule myself, but people have told me Elliquiy is Very strict when it comes to characters looking over 18 (even if they're not real people eg:anime). I'll accept her as she is for the time being, and let you know if the forum staff have an issue with it.

Also... sneaky Joanie edit! Give me a minute to read it over, should be fine though since you of all people should know what they're doing~
EDIT: Just finished reading Robin... and I must say I'm wasn't expecting someone like them either. Ditto's are pretty much made to make things interesting, so I look forward to seeing what sort of trouble, confusion, weirdness, etc they end up causing. Character accepted.

The answer to your potentially silly question is roasted potato with pineapple sauce! Enjoy~
.... I'm guessing you want a non-silly answer too?

I can't be 100% sure without seeing the actual artwork, but I'm 99% sure it's fine. If your character has a pair of visibly non-human ears and a tail, you'll need to explain how that affected your characters life in at least one of the questions. Cause  it'd raise a few eyebrows and freak a few people out.... maybe... can't say for sure considering how some of those trainers dress themselves.

OK, this is a Work in Progress

Name: Maxine (Maxie) Wells
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Height: 5’6”
Orientation: Bisexual
Parentage: Magnezone
Type: Electric
Powers: (Pick four powers based on your Parent Pokemon. It can be a move they learn naturally, or an abstract interpretation of the characters gimmick and lore. Eg; Ditto’s squishy body, or Zoroark Illusionary powers being used in a certain way. You start with the first two, the other two will be unlocked as the game progresses. If you get stuck just ask for help in the thread and I’m sure people would be happy to offer suggestions.)
- Magnetic Force: Max can create a field that can attract or repel ferromagnetic materials
- Maxie’s Silver Hammer: Given a wire and an electric current, she can generate a limited quantity of electromagnetic discharge that can do damage, short circuit devices, or completely destroy magnetically stored data.
- Other Powers TBD

What were they doing prior to arriving at S4?
At school, Maxie didn’t really stand out. That was largely by design. At home, at least when others (notably her single mother who was extremely tight-lipped when it came to the question of Maxie's father) weren’t looking however, she assumed a new persona: The Silver Hammer, hacker extraordinaire. No data was immune to her skills. Or so she thought. In reality, what she learned was that her skills were tied into electromagnetic abilities that evidenced themselves only quite recently. This, and the conclusion which followed, and the confrontation which came after that, solidified Maxie's largely negative opinions on secrets (barring her own. Of course, when the truth (or at least the strange abilities part of it) became known, she was shipped to S4.

How do they like to spend their free time? Hobbies? Interests?
Maxie still sees herself as a hacker first and foremost, though now there’s a more physical component to her activities, as she prowls around, seeing as magnetic locks are no longer a real problem for her. Still, often, her ideal night is just her and her computer, hunting down the secrets of the rich and famous, and broadcasting them.

What are a few things they dislike or just can’t stand?
Maxie doesn’t like the idea of the straight and narrow. Living a “normal” life, while a decent cover, seems the absolutely most boring thing to her imaginable. She doesn’t fear getting into trouble so much as not being able to get into it. She also has serious reservations about secrets in general, and has made it her life's work to expose the secrets of others, even while doing her damnedest to protect her own.

What do they see themselves doing after graduating S4?
At this point, the answer would probably be more hacking. Perhaps she might go semi-legit if some clandestine agency were to offer her the opportunity. Or perhaps a criminal organization; she doesn’t really care which, as long as the work keeps her occupied and active. And searching for the truth.
