So the Bold twins just get hated on by the dice roller i see how it is lol.

Eh the issue I think is more mediocrity than being bad lol. my rolls were usable just wont be anything amazing.

Yeah. For my set of rolls, it's not just mediocrity, it's inability to pass some standard checkpoints. The lack of 13s is particularly harsh, since quite a few common feat chains have a gated requirement of 13 in one ability or another (Combat Expertise, Dodge, Power Attack, just to name a few).

Quote from: Conundrum on August 31, 2018, 10:38:44 AM
If you do not like your rolls you can do point buy and if they are bad enough I can be convinced to allow a reroll.

My rolls could be duplicated with 11 points in point buy, even though 2d6+6 is statistically equivalent to 25-point buy. Sooooo...Yes, jumping on that. Thanks Conundrum.

Well, I found a picture for my character but I'm gonna have to crop it because it is decidedly nsfw

Click

Gobbo looks nice. Hope she has good balance!

I'm basically just referencing to OK's character image, since they're twins except for coloration: his character lucked out and got all the silverscale genetics, mine's mostly muddy-black. Otherwise identical. Magnetic dog kobolds.

So we've got the kobold twins (Bladed Scarf Magus and Unchained Rogue), and a gobbo witch. Muse? Whatcha planning? I have suspicions about which way the froggo is going to jump. ;)

Lowkey concerned we're gonna be under tanky? And die a lot because of it?

OyabunKobold

If they hit us that is *mwahahahahahahaha* lol I think we will be fine. If the dice rolls hate us then Tanky or not we going to flay ourselves to the walls anyways

The kobold twins are trippers, among other things. But they're very, very squishy. Someone hardshelled would be good, or we'll just need to be very, very adaptable.

You can build up resistance to being stabbed by repeated exposure, right? Right?

Neat. I guess I dun need to make any srs tanks besides that.

OyabunKobold

Oh yeah people say Gnome shrooms are sub par but there's something to be said about the Tricky aftertaste.

lol But yeah I'm going to be working on tripping... probably not going to be anything amazing atm I just have the ability to roll twice and take the better roll... with my luck that will probably not work out too well XD

If you really wanna counter trippers, you use flying creatures.

If you wanna counter trippers AND be hardcore, use oozes.

If you are me, you use oozes that cling to people and transform into skintight bodysuits while molesting folks.

Conundrum

Beartraps are seriously underrated items, especially at low level since they have decent DCs for a 2gp trap.

Feeling urge to make a (small) bear shapeshifter and go 'Bear traps you!'

You rang?

Conundrum

It does give me an idea for the first big rumor.  A big benefactor is willing to pay out the nose for anyone who can prove that a goblin outpost that was used for monster domestication still exists before they launch an expedition to crack it open.

@ Conundrum, thoughts on my witch having been assistant to some kind of Shaman during the war? - Were orcs involved in the conflict, or no?

OyabunKobold

So do we have a set in stone idea for a bit of history for the world? Was waiting on Backstory for a set in stone idea for what it was last I remember there was like 3 different ideas rolling around but it sounds like the War won out so any other history on the war other than Dragons vs goblins and its post war now?

That is fine and every race was involved.  The goblins were attempting to secure a surface world beachhead and the dragons were each trying to secure the goblin's territory.  The dragons maintain standing armies of dragonborn but are feudal so will draft, recruit, or hire anyone.

Still pretty vague.

Dragonborn (as such) don't exactly exist anywhere in the PF rules, because of big scary copyright things, apparently. The half-dragon template is one way around that, but it creates creatures that have a breath weapon and wings (and if I recall, most dragonborn didn't). Probably you can use the Monstrous Humanoid(Reptilian) subtype, maybe throw in something like Draconic Heritage to give a limited elemental claw attack based on dragon color/heritage, and build a race from there, reserving a Dragon (Humanoid) type for higher-ups, and the Half-dragon template for total badasses (if I remember, the original Dragonborn were mostly just humanoid dragon-types w/o wings, and winged ones and breath-weapons were uncommon 'upper class'). It looks like a few different homebrew variations are out there already, too, which might provide starting points. Most of the ones I browsed seemed aimed at creating OP player characters, though, rather than NPC races.

It's possible I'm getting a bit confused, though, there were the Dragonlance ones, and then later D&D had some other kinds, and I'm not sure 100% what kind you mean.

EDIT: There's also the Wyvaran race, but it's pretty off the hook. I don't think I've ever seen anyone play one or even ask to be allowed to play one. I'd read about them once and forgotten them completely.

I can cook something up.  There will be your standard big tough armoured Dragonborn, maybe some elites with breath weapon, some with wings, and the highest will have some innate magic as well.  Rigid in thought but almost always loyal to a fault holding strength as equal to rank.

Little kobolds as the grunts and Dragonborn as the elites with the occasional half dragon lord or lady?

I have decided. I shall play Ratsy.

Name: Riss Whitefur
Class(es): Swarm Monger Druid 3
Race: Ratfolk
Alignment: TN
Description: Riss is a barely 3 1/2 foot tall Ratfolk with white-grey fur, red eyes and soft, pink ears. She pays curious attention to things around her and likes to decorate herself with tidbits she finds lying about. Which is not owed to a subtle kleptomania streak. Oh no.
Backstory:
Riss believes, rightfully or not, that she is currently in heaven and has been a very good rat in her prior life. Nothing else makes sense, because the world around her is just so much fun. There's lots of delicious food, comfy, warm places to sleep, and if any problems appear, she simply throws rats at them until the problems are solved, one way or the other. She very much subscribes to the theory that everything can be a cheese, if you divide the problem among enough rodents.

On a deeper, more philosophical level, she has experienced a fair bit of ostracizing by other races, due to.. well, being a rat, but she seems unwilling to talk more about this, or indeed her past beyond a certain point.

Rats always win the race.
