Anyone got ideas for a Kushiel game, or one active at the moment? Been rereading some of the books lately (Imriel, not Phedre) and sort of in the mood.

I have some ideas and might be willing to run something if there is the interest.

Well, I'd definitely like to do something other than the typical Night Court RP.

What about this:

A group of Nobles make a bet.  The first one to seduce Terre D'ange's famous 'Virgin Princess' will get their weight in gold.  So all the players are young nobles trying to sleep their way through the palace guard in order to conquer the princess first.

Of course, they will have to win over many people in the palace as possible to get access to her, and of course, form alliances and rivalries that result in many sexy scenes with each other.

I've only played one Kushiel game before, and that was over on RPOL. It was sort of a semi-sandbox, with some GM introduced plot stuff, but players free to work with or around those as they wanted. There were night court adepts, nobles, commoners and foreign characters all involved.

Personally, I'm not interested in running a sandbox.  I'd play one, but if I'm going to run it, I need something to move the plot.

HairyHeretic

Yeah, that's always going to be the issue with a sandbox game. You need players that are willing to to be proactive, and help drive the stories, rather than simply reacting to the GMs latest post. Having a few different threads running parallel helps (I think), as it gives both more opportunity for character interaction and should plot A not particularly interest someone, they can concentrate on plot B in their posting (so to speak)

I'm much better as a pro-active GM, which is why I think my plot will work pretty well.  If both you Life in Color are still interested, I'll go ahead and make a post in the other forum to try to get more players.

Is this still maybe going to happen? I'd like to toss at least tentative interest in, depending on size and plot, if so.
Whether it's a breakdown or a breakthrough, shit still gets broken.
