Little confused by the on/offs page
« on: March 08, 2016, 09:13:02 AM »
Hi all!

So, thought I'd get round to filling in more of a profile to give other writers a chance to see my preference but a little confused by the https://elliquiy.com/forums/onsoffs.php page.

I see it has sort of buttons to tick, ranging from blue to black. I'm assuming that blue, left hand side, is 'strongly want/agree' and black, right hand side, is 'strongly dislike or disagree'.

Would I be understanding that correctly and once filled in, how do I see these options and point others to them?

Thank you in advance :)

If you are on a computer, if you hover over the box it will tell you what the 'strength' of the on/off is.  The bright blue on left is Like, then is Try. The middle is no opinion basically. Then Dislike and finally the Black is Never.  So your interpretation is kind of on point for the most part. Hope that helps.

Once you fill in the matrix and click the submit button the information is stored and you can add a link to your preferences in your signature block.  You can update the information any time you wish but be sure to click submit to save it.

There is also an item in your sidebar titled:  My Roleplay Preferences.  Anyone clicking that link will be taken to your Ons/Off preferences page.

In addition, there is a 'Find Partners' tab at the top of the forum.  You can use that to search for up to five categories (and associated strengths) that you're looking for in a partner.

Also, if you haven't noticed it yet, there is a separate 'On/Offs' section in the 'General Sexiness' board, for Lords, Ladies, & Lieges.  Many people have their Ons/Offs listed there as well, as it adds for more customization and they can also include more detail about what they're looking for in stories and writing.

If it helps, Jagerin has a very nice tutorial on the O/O matrix here. ^^
