<3 Emjay! Yes, please add me in if you don't mind. Since there are several more people with characters already made/being made, I want mine to follow along properly!

I was actually gonna PM you but that works even better to just be added in.  :-)

Unfortunately, I will have to call off adding the Summer guard for now.

But things should change.

I'm still keeping the prince though.

Face Claim: Christina Hendricks
Full Name: Iveera Tessara Faylinn (Formerly Narcissus)
Nickname(s): Ivy by those closest to her, V by only her King, and sometimes Veera by those who seek her ire.
Alias: The Gem of Spring +/- Queen of Thorns
Age: 43
Race: Spring
Gender: Female (cis)
Sexuality: Pansexual
Relationship Status: Married to the King of the Spring region Araminta Eir Faylinn - Polyamorous Relationshp
Role: Queen
Hair Color: Ruby Red (Darker than FC Picture)
Eye Color: Vibrant Jade
Height: 5'7" | 170 cm
Weight: 161 lbs | 73 kg
General Description: Ivy stands comfortably at a rather average height but far from average in other categories. Wild and wavy locks of ruby hair easily distinguish her from the bulk of her people in both their color and the fact that they need be braided in order not to stretch beyond the backs of her knees to brush the forest floor as she walks. Most often the braids of her hair are kept tight and tangle free by thin vines, roots, and various flowers of her own make. No description of her would fall short of the elegance and beauty expected of a Queen of the Spring territories. Her skin is of the smoothest milky pale complexion, near flawless apart a few ghostly reminders of motherhood upon her hips and the lowest point of her abdomen, and perfectly accented by the faintest of flush of her cheeks and the pink of her soft luscious lips which she often times paints in different shades of red. Her overall shape and figure was not that of a lithe warrior but instead her buxom beauty was far more voluptuous in nature. The very essence of a Queen whose purpose was a devotion to birth and thriving life.

Though for certain events her style of dress varied in different manner of silks and garments fit for a Queen she can most often be found wearing a bare midriff top of a ruby silk similar to that of her hair. Though the nation of Spring is quite comfortable with, if not having a preference toward, nudity the Queen does not partake. Vines, leaves, and the smallest of roots weave together upon the surface of her skin and tastefully cover just enough of her intimates for any public occasion as they are for the eyes only of those whom she chooses and belong only to her King. (Her typical manner of dress is the second picture that does not depict what she actually looks like)

Personality: When it comes to those she loves and her own people she is often described as a kind and caring soul. Outsiders are rarely given a poor impression without first having given her reason to feel such a way in the first place apart from, typically, those of the Autumn kingdom. Her nature is to nurture. She embodies the region of spring with her desire to not only bring life into the world but to ensure it thrives. She grew, in time, to love and adore her King. Her feelings toward her children are as strong as any mother if a bit overbearing and over protective. That said she does well to carry herself as a Queen ought to in widely public occasions. She rather enjoys being the center of attention and often tends to utilize affections offered to her greatest benefit possible by way of manipulation. In that way she is flirtatious and quite proud of the shape the goddess granted her. In contrast to that she also very much enjoys time to herself wherein more complex thoughts and contemplation are given way to.

Likes: Attention and all that comes with it, child bearing from start to never finished, helping others through the birthing process, dancing, spending time by lakes, swimming, tending to plants, reading histories, rain, occasional naps, Autumn wines, and generally enjoying the relaxed atmosphere that is the daily celebration of life in the spring nation.
Dislikes: Autumn, Winter, being confined, having her movements or privileges restricted by her King (no matter the circumstances), being guarded, being told no, being too hot, being too cold, being forced to physical confrontation, being spied on, being intruded upon, the process of dying, and death itself even when caused by her own hand.
Psychological Quirks:
  • Insomnia - Due to her deep connection to the living world around her and the nightmares of a former life she typically doesn't sleep through the night. The occasional naps she takes are a
  • PTSD - Due to her intense connection to the magics of the Nation of Spring  each time she is reborn she retains very specific and overwhelming memories of a gravely traumatic life her spirit once lived. Were it a possibility she would prefer she could never recall the time in which she was a prisoner of the nation of Autumn during the peak of the heated war between their people. Due to this fact she can be quite nervous and cagey around the people of Autumn. Quick to judgement and at times more drastic action. It's also the reason she refuses to stay in rooms lacking at least open windows or open doors. Without a constant direct connection to nature anxiety settles in quickly.
  • Jealousy - Iveera is primarily a level headed woman who is not only quite happy to share her King but also enjoys her own private dalliances. Though the moment she decides enough is enough her own instincts and desire to be the center of her love's attention she can become aggressive whether by way of sharp tongue, overbearing public affections, and even the occasional aim to separate whomever has garnered too much of her love's attention. The only biggest issue with her jealousy lies in the fact that it seems not to have a trigger and is entirely sporadic.

Backstory: To be added soon.

Weaponry: The Spring queen sometimes travels with a pair of Spring styled
karambits
kept in place at the small of her back, beneath the back of the fine silk shirts she wears specifically to mask their presence. While she is quite skilled with them they also happen to be a close range, speed, and surprise type weapon used for precise strikes. She much prefers her magics to forged steel.
Gear: In the way of armor Iveera typically only uses the roots of her magic to shield herself. She is not known to be a front line sort of warrior. At times wherein she travels to other kingdoms she keeps a satchel of seeds with her in order to enhance her magics.
Steed:
Anemos
. Her personal steed whose behavior tends to be
wild
to such a degree he bites, kicks, and generally misbehaves with others. Those elders who knew her in her youth have expressed he reflects a
rebellious nature
similar to that of her youth which still simmers some beneath the surface.
Familiar: The only other animal aside from Anemos with whom Iveera shares a significant bond is a grizzly bear named
Ursos
.  Ursos is primarily a rather docile creature for a gentle giant standing at
nearly 9 feet tall
and weighing in at just shy of 1,200 pounds thanks to an almost entirely uncontested heavy protein diet. Between
fishing
,
swimming
, and napping it'd be hard to determine which he prefers the most. His anger on the other hand is easy to recognize by way of the two rows of vicious
fangs
that line his crushing jaws, his enormous and powerful frame, and the deadly razor sharp claws attached to impressive paws and dangerous paws. Ursos is, undoubtedly, the physically more dangerous one of the two despite the fact that she still treats him like a cub.

Magic:

  • Strangling Vines - By the force of her will and the magics of her people she is able to draw creeping vines from appropriate sources such as soil and trees. Her vines function similar to a living creature such as a snake. They vary in number, length, and thickness based on how long she's given to focus without interruption and which Kingdom she's currently in. They can tangle and subdue, squeeze and strangle to the extent of breaking bones, and pierce them in a rather slow and quite painful burrowing fashion. She is also known to use them for certain mundane tasks such as her idea of getting dressed. In order to enact this magic she needs to be in contact with such surfaces. The stone cell in the Autumn Kingdom in which her previous self was trapped, for example, was enough separation to disable this magic.
  • Wicked Thorns - While the magics of her strangling vines are quite useful and deadly on their own account their purpose can become far deadlier should she make direct contact with them. Through that direct contact those particular vines are more pliable to a further unnatural growth, at her discretion, in a shape that gives them their namesake. Each of them is shaped like a talon with a barbed tip with a smooth underside and a razor sharp surface. It's a rare enough occasion she seeks to harm another to begin with that few are aware of this particular talent.
  • Iron Roots - Through the grace of the goddess the Queen has the ability to draw roots from the ground, enhancing them, thickening and directing them to shape before they near instantly petrify. With Iron Roots there are no second chances either. Not even the Queen herself can reshape them and the must be separated from whatever root system was used to create them within a day or two lest the petrification spread unchecked. The petrification process leaves them near as solid as stone though not indestructible. Fire is most commonly the manner in which they are disposed when deemed a nuisance. Of the magics Iveera has at her fingertips Iron Roots is not one she takes lightly. Only few examples are kept within the Kingdom of Spring as the magic is near sacrilege in that it stresses the life of the plants used in its creation. The prime examples are the thrones of spring, a few weapons, a few shields, and a small number of suits of armor. Most of which are relics from the time of great war with the Autumn Kingdom.
  • Fruit of the Goddess - Iveera comes from a line of nobility among the spring wherein only those of her own blood are able to cultivate a cherished fruit among the people of spring. It's about the size of a cantaloupe with a similar texture and make up. Instead of numerous small seeds there are only three large seeds so delicate few are able to safely remove, handle, and cultivate them in a timely fashion at which point they quickly wither and become in-viable. Subtly sweet, obviously succulent, and finished with a flavor best described as passionately delicious. Its true purpose and beauty far exceeded the simplicity of culinary delight. Ingesting the fruit enhances senses, taste, touch, smell, sight, and sound, if only for a few hours which is what makes it sought after through all realms to some degree. More importantly it comes with a sensation of warmth and draws ones strongest impulses and desires to the surface in the most intense fashion. Kings and Queens, spring included, have exposed both positive and negative thoughts and feelings quite publicly for having tasted it. Which is exactly why it's offered as a delicacy to visitors from other Kingdoms. When offered Iveera considers it a grave insult not to indulge and only as a great personal favor allows it to leave the Kingdom of Spring. Rumor has it, though unconfirmed, that the Fruit of the Goddess is responsible loosening the tongue of the King who started the great war long ago between the kingdoms Spring and Autumn.

I think you know some of the background to write some of it. I don't know if you have been collaborating with Autumn, but I would like to know the story why the Spring Queen was imprisoned, when she was imprisoned, for what reasons, etc. I would also like to know what makes her unique to the rest of Spring that she reincarnates and not the other Spring people. I feel if she was captured in Autumn, Autumn specializing in death doesn't have magic that would allow her to revive so easily.

I have some background family wise and will put it to the page once I have everything pinned down with Levi. All of your other questions fall under the same category which is basically just character development fluff.

Her capture would have been during another life long ago when Autumn and Spring were at open war. The reason for the capture is simply because it would have been demoralizing, beneficial to characters with abilities similar to your knight of Autumn, and a bargaining chip assuming that previous life was a Queen or Princess (positions she likely would have held in more than one of her lives). Reincarnation is fairly common of the people of spring according to the lore we discussed. The uncommon portion is retaining memories from those past lives. The memories she retains are traumatic, character development fluff, as opposed to anything super beneficial. I do have a message in to Levi and will see what we come up with as to how important it is beyond the Spring Queen having a prejudice against those of Autumn. If you'd like your character's ancestor to have interacted with her previous self I'd be up for discussing that as well. As far as having been captured by Autumn I am more than happy for that to have been a situation where she was eventually released, escaped, rescued, or whatever else we wish to have it make sense. They are rebirthed or rather reincarnated within spring, not simply that she'd revive.

I am super confused regarding the highlighted above. In regards to the first highlighted, how is she beneficial for Autumn knights with powers like my character, and the second, "who" did you discuss Spring reincarnates because nowhere in the opening post, when I wrote out the standards for Spring does it say Spring reincarnates. I will read it again to make sure, but I do not recall having ever wrote that and the rule was writers cannot change the standards I presented for each Season in this game.

Edit: I just re-read it. It is not mentioned anywhere in there.

Now, I am not saying she cannot reincarnate. I asked earlier what made her so unique because it is not something Spring folk can all do, so I was hoping you would tell me some back story that made her different than the other Springlings, and why she can do it and no one else can.

Recruitment is open again. Those interested in this game understand that character death can happen. It is not caused by the GM, but other writers plotting against you due to story drama. I would like to see Spring and Autumn become stronger kingdoms because currently they don't have much of a foot to stand on.

*Walks in and looks around*

I've got a bit of an idea. I don't see any lowly guards walking around. Anyone would have trouble with me playing a somewhat run-of-the-mill guard? I was thinking he could've met a princess or something along those lines, and claimed by them as a lover/husband/whathaveyou (would like to keep his unlikely other half a woman though). Now forced to rise up the ranks, he's getting into things way above his paygrade. And might of course not survive for long.

Would there be people willing to cooperate on this and be the catalyst for this guy to enter the political/war fray?

What Court he ends up in doesn't really matter that much to me.

It depends on what Season you want to be in because there are multiple players who run each season. I do know that one position that was needed was a Royal Guard for the princess Gwyn. That is still open. It's not a run of the mill guard but it is a requested position by another player.

Needed as in there are requirements for it? Any specifics of the request I can look up? I'll take a look, I was purposefully thinking of somebody that doesn't start out high-profile but it might be fun if it fits the rest of the character idea I have.

Roger that, will do. I might or might not take it, depending on what the other player wants. If not, I'll think I'll go for a guard without any prior connections. Will be hard to get him into the plot, but we'll see how it goes I guess.

Xywel

Alright, had some contact with Quill. Don't think my concept plus general style would mash with what she has in mind. I'll whip up a character that I think will be a decent addition. Any other particular roles people/the GM want to see filled to make matters more interesting?
