Precis: This game contains nation-building elements. Writers will be able to create characters for the four kingdoms of Season. Writers who create characters for whichever kingdom they choose will be able to create their kingdom’s motto, coat of arms, culture, resources, etc. with the other writers within that kingdom. Each kingdom will have its own thread. Writers will be allowed to make characters for more than one kingdom, whether they be actual player characters or non-playable characters. This game will be mostly sandbox with player-driven plots. The GM has presented to you the basic rules and culture of your starting kingdom. Writers are required to follow these rules starting out and allow events in-game determine how relationships between kingdoms will fair. This game has inspirations from A Song of Ice and Fire. If you haven’t read any of the books or seen the show, Game of Thrones, it doesn’t matter. It is not a requirement.

Plot: In the land of Season, there are four kingdoms. The Kingdom of Winter, Summer, Spring, and Autumn. Every four months, the seasons change, but the kingdoms did not like this. Whenever the seasons changed, one kingdom would grow stronger than the other and try to dominate the other kingdoms. For centuries, war was waged among them and many died. It wasn’t until recent, The Horae, the omni beings who controlled the order of the seasons revealed themselves. The Horae scolded the kingdoms for their greed and told them that no longer would the seasons change every four months on their own for they have grown tired of mourning the bloodshed. The power which controlled the four seasons was concentrated and shaped into a crown. The Four Seasons gave the wearer the power to change the seasons and with it came rules the wearer had to follow:

The wearer could decide the order in which the seasons change
The wearer could decide the duration of each season
The wearer was not to change the seasons out of greed
The wearer was not to ever allow the crown to fall into another’s hands
The wearer was no longer loyal to their kingdom, the wearer was loyal to The Horae
The wearer would wear the crown until their death
The Horae decide who will succeed the crown

The Kingdom of the Four Seasons resided at the center-most point on the planet. The current wearer [a NPC character] has decided that each kingdom will remain within their season. Summer remained in summer. Winter remained in winter. Autumn remained in autumn. Spring remained in spring. The Wearer believed that this would be the most peaceful resolution, and for a hundred years, the Four Kingdoms were at peace. The Horae have returned, indicating the eventual passing of the current wearer. The Horae are bringing the kingdoms together to hear who each family proposes to be the next successor. The candidates for successor will be identified, and they will undergo difficult trials until only one succeeds.

The game begins with the kingdoms gathering within The Kingdom of the Four Seasons in feast and ceremony. At this banquet, the candidates for The Wearer will be identified.

Themes: Sex, Violence, Blackmail, Backstabbing, Torture, Romance, Nudity, Medieval Fantasy, Magic, Mythical Creatures, Rivalries, and War.

Winter: The Kingdom of Winter occupies the north. The people are identified by their fair skin and fair hair. Some hair colors are so light they are as white as the snow, which covers their kingdom. They are highly resistant to the cold and have no issue thriving in climates below zero with minimum clothing; however, this cannot be said for hot climates. The people of Winter possess powers over ice. Winter has a past history of conflict with the Kingdom of Summer. Long ago, the kingdoms were sworn enemies.

Summer: The Kingdom of Summer occupies the south. The people are identified by their tan to black skin and dark brown to black hair. They are highly resistant to hot temperatures and have no issues thriving in climates above 100 degrees Fahrenheit or desert conditions. This cannot be said for cold climates. The people of Summer possess powers over fire and heat. Summer has a past history of conflict with the Kingdom of Winter. Long ago, the kingdoms were sworn enemies.

Spring: The Kingdom of Spring occupies the east. The people are identified by their fair to tan skin and have some of the longest hair in the world. Their hair colors range from blonde to dark brown. An attractive color among Spring is the color red. Red heads are considered exotic in Season. What this means is no one but Spring has red hair. Even among Spring people, it is rare to have ruby-red hair. The people of Spring have no issue residing in cold or hot temperatures; however, they cannot exist in higher or lower temperatures without special clothing. They are not immune to the cold and heat like Summer and Winter. The people of Spring possess powers over nature. They make the land bountiful with food and nurture the fauna. Spring has a past history of conflict with the Kingdom of Autumn. Long ago, the kingdoms were sworn enemies.

Autumn: The Kingdom of Autumn occupies the west. The people are identified by their tan skin. Their hair colors range from fiery-orange to brown. Autumn people do NOT have ruby-red or any clear shade of crimson, scarlet, etc. They do not have red hair. They are also known for possessing violet and red eyes. The only exotic eye colors in the world. The people of Autumn have no issue residing in cold or hot temperatures. They can resist hotter and colder temperatures than the people of Spring can. However, they are not immune to the cold and heat like Summer and Winter. The people of Autumn possess powers over decay. They return life back to the planet. Autumn has a past history of conflict with the Kingdom of Spring. Long ago, the kingdoms were sworn enemies.

Written above are broad standards for the kingdoms. There will be no further details for those details will be created by the writers.

Below, you will find a summary of roles that characters can be placed into. Any role not used is open or can be voted not applicable by players.

Princess(es) - There can be more than one. Writers who choose to be related should collaborate on a back story. Princesses can also be spouses to princes. This game is LGBTQ+ friendly so they can be spouses to princesses.
Royal Guardian(s) – The royal guardians are bodyguards who specifically protect one of the royals. There can be multiple, but only one is assigned to protect and be responsible for the life and safety of one of the royals.
Elite Guard(s) – These are the kingdoms' elite guardians. They never leave the castle and protect the royal family with their lives.

The preferred imagery for these characters are real-life or digital art. Anime is not permitted. If you do use a real-life photo, then do not forget to post your face claim. If you do not know the face claim, simply put "Unknown." If you're not using a real-life image and are only using fantasy art, then write "none."

Magic:
Characters are allowed four magical abilities related to their kingdom's powers. Some may be similar to others. That is okay. It is a power almost everyone in that kingdom possesses by default. However, your character may possess a unique technique with that power. Again, you are allowed four.

1. CS submission: Always submit the CS in the recruitment thread. Do not PM the CS to me. You are allowed to create spoilers and drop a "WIP" in the recruitment thread. However upon completing your CS, you must PM the GM that it is finished. If you want your CS to be quickly reviewed, then do not forget to PM the GM that you completed your WIP. Those who are dropping a complete CS do not need to PM the GM.

2. Communication: If you are going away for a long time, then please inform the GM. The GM does not need to know your business. The GM just needs to know how long you will be away if you are leaving on vacation. If you are leaving the game, then please inform the GM. Do not just vanish without telling anyone. If you plan to go away for a long time but plan to return, then please inform the GM so the GM can accommodate your absence and ensure you have a smooth reentry into the story line.

3. Drama: Just none. Act like an adult. The GM will not argue with you. Whatever the GM says goes. The GM will also not help you create your CS. You must create your CS on your own.

4. Posting Speed: This is a group game. If you are posting like you don't have a job or other IRL commitments, and you're not allowing your partners to respond, then you are wrong. Posting Speed is dependent on the partners involved and writing together. If it involves multiple characters and another player posts about once a week, then you must patiently wait for that writer to post. You will not rush that writer. Players are required to post at least once every seven days. If a player hasn't posted in seven days or more, then they will be skipped. If a player hasn't posted in 14 days without notification of absence, then they will be dropped from the game.

5. Collaborate: One person should not be the sole person building the nation. Everyone should be contributing to their kingdom. Everyone should be allowed to contribute to the story. Do not join this game if all you plan to do is role play with one person and no one else. This is a "group game." Involve everyone.

6. Have fun: I made this game sandbox so that I could see what ideas you all have. While I am open to several things, I will not allow ideas that break the game. Overpowered characters, god-like powers, absurd mythical creatures will be denied. So please just try to keep your imagination reeled in. Do not go too over-the-top. But also do not be afraid to submit your concept. The worst thing that would happen is the GM will say "No," if it breaks the game.

7. Do not alter the standards. In the above information about each kingdom, there are basic standards set. Writers are not allowed to manipulate them to try and give their kingdom some sort of advantage over the other. They also cannot add to the powers stated that they have.

8. Everyone can die in this game. Whether or not your character has reincarnation as a unique trait, every character that dies cannot be played again. Death brings drama, realism, and story enrichment. No writer will be allowed to deny the possibility of story enrichment and its affect on the characters in the game. There are no Mary Sues, Gary Stews, or god-moddish beings. Everyone can die.

I maybe interested in making a princess from the Autumn kingdom. Will ponder a bit cause Summer kingdom also sounds good. So many decisions! Gah!

A&A's

Face Claim: Teya Salat
Full Name: Queen Sinceræ Imyli’ost Qhinn
Nickname(s): Lady Sin, The White Witch
Age: 53. This race has evolved through time as the frigid land stalls the aging process, “freezing” it in place in a way, and elongating the life span just a little bit longer than normal. The “normal” lifespan in this land is about 120-140 years.
Race: Winter
Gender: Cis-Female
Sexuality: Pansexual
Relationship Status: Remarried to  Valentin Anzor Qhinn
Role: Queen
Hair Color: White/Blonde
Eye Color: Silver/Grey
Height: 5’8”
Weight: 121 lbs
General Description: The Winter Queen is lean limbed and fair skinned just like the majority of her people. There is a shimmer to her skin almost like a layer of frost has literally grown on her flesh, creating a glimmer of silvery-blue when she turns a way in certain lighting. The woman is slightly cold to the touch, as one would be if they walked through a snowfall without adequate clothing. Sinceræ is very vain and has become obsessed with self-adoration and beautification through the forms of tattooing and various decorations. Diamonds and precious stones are pierced through her nose and various places throughout her body, and ink etched across her skin, most notably a symmetrical pattern across her throat and down towards her collarbone. She has no smile lines in her cheeks and is quick to snap her fingers in judgement.

Personality: Proud and just a bit arrogant, Sinceræ has grown quite accustomed to having her words obeyed without question and with complete success. She despises weakness and has a crippling fear of failure instilled in her from her abusive father growing up. She tends to overcompensate in her appearance believing that people will trust you the more beautiful you are, and she is quick to zero in on someone’s insecurities.

Likes: White wine, artwork in the forms of paintings and sculptures, and animals. She spends a lot of time outdoors, studies old magicks, and enjoys swimming.
Dislikes: Large crowds.
Psychological Quirks: If there is anything Royal life has taught her it is that you are always on display and can trust no one. This has led to a slight state of paranoia in her day-to-day life, so she is always guarded and has some weapon on her at all times, either magickal or physical. She is emotionally alone in this world and it shows; her family has passed, her late husband is gone, and her only daughter has distanced herself. This has led to a thread of bitterness to be woven within and she is often seen talking to herself as if she is her only friend and confidant.

Backstory: Her father, Utgar Imyli’ost, was a major Lord who fought for the Former Winter King during the wars against the other seasons. Winter has always been about fighting: fighting to eat, fighting for land, and fighting to survive. It’s in their nature as this land is unforgiving and only the Strongest last their full life span. Being the only daughter of Lord Imyli’ost, she was both somehow treasured and despised. Treasured because highborn women were powerful pawns on the chessboard of power, despised because she could not carry on the legacy of her father’s name. The young girl was born curious, light, and free, but stern lessons and powerful discipline quickly molded her into the hard, unbreakable, non-conforming woman of today.

She grew up learning the history and the power of Winter’s past. It is unfair that all other seasons get a portion of the land’s bounty except Winter. So their prized possessions came in the form of forged weaponry, diamonds, and destructive magick. She has always loved the artistic colors of Autumn or the ripe flavors of Summer, but her family was incredibly Xenophobic and terrified of “outside” influences, so whenever she was found with an item from across the border she was beaten severely. These views were so heavily instilled mentally that even now in adulthood she may enjoy things from the other kingdoms, she still looks down on them with a degree of her own perceived superiority.

At the age of 20, Sinceræ was betrothed to the Winter Prince, Javen Qhinn. It was a match of a prized gifting from the King to her father for his heroic loyalty during the wars before the Horae chose The Wearer. Their coronation was two years later.

Javen was a simple man of simple mind. He was not driven or ambitious which frustrated his hot-headed wife to no end. Sinceræ’s strings were still being heavily pulled by her father at this time, so it proved to be difficult in strengthening Winter’s role in the world by having such a lazy King. The man’s only useful act was giving her Rùna, but then his welcome in her life had run its course. It’s mentally thought.......silently rumored.....that Sinceræ killed her husband at her father’s instruction for her to become sole Ruler and begin strengthening Winter’s forces in preparation to become the next Wearer. But few could even try to hope prove it and absolutely no one says it. But there are multiple bard songs and theatre parodies that mock the fact that the man died from eating soup....

Rùna’s birth was a long and extremely painful one, but it ended with literally the most beautiful, cherubic angel Sin had ever laid eyes upon. Her sickness and frailty was frustrating, but tolerated for even if she wouldn’t become a warrior, she would become something greater, such as a Sorceress, or a philosopher. Rùna was given strict lessons in her quarters and forbidden too much time outside for fear of danger. Things were going well until her collapse at 8 years old.

Sinceræ spared no expense looking for healers and turned away no attempt to save Rùna. The Coven of Lód was the one that found the way to healing at the bargain if/when Sinceræ becomes the next Wearer that the Coven will be allowed to spread its cultist message all through the other Kingdoms. The offer was accepted. Rùna was gone and out was born Vængra, her Ice winged Princess.

Timeline (As I understand it)
1491 Sinceræ’s father is born (Fought for the King for 9 years from 1521-1530)
1530 The Wars end and the first Wearer is chosen
1577 Sin is born
1597 Sin is married to Prince Javan Qhinn at age 20
1599 Old King dies and Javan and Sinceræ are crowned as new Rulers
1606 Vængra is born
1607 husband dies after 10 years of marriage
1622 Her Father dies at 131 years
1630 (Game Beginning) The Wearer has died and a new one must be chosen

Weaponry: Throwing knives with a bullseye aim, but she has no real brute strength in regards to swords or axes. Those are left to the guards she has surrounding her.
Gear: Really none. Her dress and garb is royal most days unless she is traveling. Then the gear is whatever fits the situation.
Steed: Frostback Hart named Benjin
Familiar: Snow leopard named Hex

Magic:
Studied the grimoires of an ancient Ice Witch known as Divijah. Much of what she practiced had been forgotten by the people who were only using their natural ice manipulation for farming, fishing, and building, but Sinceræ has resurrected them in her practices. With these studies she has the following powers:

 • Cryokinetic Constructs: The power to create tools, objects, weapons, armor, and even appendages out of Ice
 • Freezing Touch: Can freeze every liquid cell within a living creature and turn them into a sculpture of ice through touch or her breath. (Her throne room has many such ice sculptures of past assassins and those who have either betrayed her or failed her)
 • Ice Storm Creation: On rare occasion as this takes much energy and time, she can turn the skies white with storms of snow, sharp ice, or hail creating much description and death

WINTER KINGDOM

“Give Not, Yield Not”

Food: Due to the climate and weather, their food sources are mostly made up of meat and seafood. Venison and mutton are main dishes, as well as fish, shrimp, and lobster. There are a few vegetation options in berries, nuts, and roots. The main seasoning in food is salt so spices are highly prized and coveted by the people.

Animals: Reindeer, Harts, wolves, snow cats, and polar bears. There is only one breed of horse called the Yucatan horse which has wiry thick hair to protect itself against the weather, but they are very stubborn beasts. There are also a few breeds of dogs but these are going to be the larger, hardier breeds (Like Huskies, Mountain dogs, etc). The elite guard of the palace are mounted on tamed Polar bears as they are highly intelligent and powerful creatures.

Homes: made of stone to stand against the storms and shifting winds. From peasant huts made of stone blocks encased in mortar to the carved palace of marble and ice, few things are built with wood and no one lives in cloth tents.

Culture: Winter people tend to be a bit brash, blunt, straight-forward people. They are expert fisherman and tanners of hides for bedding and decorations, but due to their resistance to the cold they especially love silk clothing. Glass beads, steel weapons, and leather are some of their main exports, but the Northern Kingdom is the only Kingdom where diamonds have been found.

The hard stones that replicate ice are their most lucrative trading export to the other Kingdoms as their smiths, miners, and jewelers are renowned for their craftsmanship. These Ice diamonds can come in White, Blue, and rare Purple colors, and in all shapes, sizes, and clarity. The Winter people trade these diamonds for things rare in their lands, such as herbs, fruits, rubies, and colorful paints which go for a pretty penny. It’s a culture statement to have your walls painted in Winter to showcase your wealth.

Among the lower classes in Winter the effort it takes to build such structures had led to the construction of lodges where many people can live. There is little privacy in these lodges, leading to some very liberal sexual attitudes. Simply having a home of ones own is considered a luxury, a fancy one with painted walls even more so. Official Marriage is also generally a custom of the affluent, though pairings are often “blessed” or “anointed” among the lower classes.

Keys- As opposed to Engagement /wedding rings, using the idea of a marriage symbol as a key worn around the neck. It signifies control /trust of the house hold to a wife. As Queen, Sin would wear two. One for the "house" and another signifying the nation/treasury.

The Contest – The games are held once a year with all peoples of Winter allowed to participate, no matter their station. The winner of the most competitions may ask the Royalty for a boon, of reasonable terms of course. The games consist of:

Hammer throw
Competitive dance
Wood chopping
Logrolling
Tree climbing
Tug of war
Animal skinning
High kicking
Bow fishing
Belt wrestling
Slap boxing (No fists or holding but boxers can slap anywhere.)
Ballgame (A sport like soccer or rugby where using the hand is off limits but forearms are frequently used. Lots of tackling and cheap shots.)

Religion: The People of Winter worship a multifaceted Pantheon of Gods and Goddesses, most of whom exist for only one function.

The Final Arbiter – Death. The one who is above all in the pantheon of winter, though not necessarily worshiped as a “main god.” It is acknowledged that Death is the most powerful of all aspects of creation, the one thing that all must answer too.

Mother War – The sharp desire for combat and vengeance that resides in all of Winter’s people. She is cold, capricious, and uncaring of who is in her way. When Mother War’s anger is stirred, all are in danger. She see's only her enemies destroyed when Father Peace seeks talk.

Father Peace – Mother War’s calming influence and other half. When Mother War brandishes her weapons, Father Peace is the one who whispers calming influences in her ear. He see's reason when Mother War see's blood.

She Who Grows – Responsible for all things related to growing, including crops and fertility. She is depicted with three heads and is their Tri-Goddess representing all stages of life: The Curious Youth, the Protective Mother, the Wise Crone

Terms

The Last Door – A winter term for saying to die. Ex: “Rich or Poor, we all must go through The Last Door.”

Bones – A term in winter describing the hardiness of a person. Ex: “Come and fight, if you think you’ve the bones for it.”

Kal-Na- a stout whiskey-like beverage distilled from a Kal Root and sweetened with honey. Usually served warm with spiced apples as a garnish if they can be afforded

If you or anyone chooses to be a Queen of a Kingdom, then every player who chooses to be a prince or princess is your child. If someone joins as the king or another queen (depending on what title the spouse wants to refer to themselves as), then that is your spouse. If you do not want this, then you need to make a prince or princess. This is why the back story is created with other writers who join the same kingdom.

Ah. Well. Makes sense. I will wait for someone to want to be such and then I shall edit.

Would that be alright?

Yep. Just understand, and let me correct what I posted earlier (since I tried to and the editor wasn't working). Your spouse could be a male or a female. And they will choose how they refer to themself. So there could be two kings and two queens of a kingdom both of the same sex. Or the king could be a female or a queen could be a male. You have to be very open in this game because anything could happen. The princes and princesses have more liberty over their spouse because you could join the game with him or her or you find someone down the line and get married. But King and Queens are automatically married and will have children as players apply to those roles.

Understood. I’ll put a “disclaimer” at the beginning of my CS to say I am open to children and a present spouse connection and thus editing my post. Having children and being currently married wouldn’t change TOO much of her personality, so it will be easy to edit.

With that said I’ll say it again here: ANYONE who wishes to fill a role or add one with me in the Winter Kingdom PLEASE feel free to contact me. Nothing I wrote is set in stone and very open to edits! ❤️

EDIT: Done!! 👍🏽

If you cannot honor a No, then you certainly could never honor a Yes.

Relationship Status: (Currently Single)
Role: King

Eye Color: Violet
Height: 6'
Weight: 14 stone
General Description: Fallow stands tall and regal at exactly 6" for her people she is actually considered rather small, her red fair gleams and falls down her back to the top of her ass, although it's very rare for her to wear it down. Her frame is slender but she has a definite female shape to her blooming out in just the right areas. When not in the throne room Fallout tends to wear earthy tones of browns and greens in simple dresses or tunics and tops. When attending to artists of the state however she wears her formal ceremonial robes. Elegant gowns of deep reds and oranges with plunging sleeves and neck lines. Warm amber stones decorate her neck and ears and her crown is made of rose gold patterned into leaves.
Personality: Fallow is kind and fair, just and wise, but this doesn't mean she is a push over she knows when to lay down the law and make people understand. The King always has the needs of the people above her own health and happiness and her kingdom prospers well. Fallow is comfortable being seen in public and being spoken to by all who wish an audience with her she makes it bluer business to know the lowest present to the highest lord of her realm. A firm believer in the law and religion of the land she will not go against them without just cause.  Fallow doesn't believe in many creature comforts beaches there is always something that needs to be done but she takes delight in simple pleasures.
Likes: Sunrise and crisp morning air, working hard and seeing the benefits, walks through the forest, small children around 5-9 years old
Dislikes: Thoses who would cause her people harm, hard harvests,  thunder, blind dates

Backstory:
Weaponry: Spear, bow and arrows
Gear: Armor
Steed:
Jackalopes
Familiar: Fox

Magic:

Death Sense: The power to sense the coming of death and the actual act of dying. As King of her people Annota can sense the coming of death, determining when someone is dead or dying or if others have died in a specific location, however this only applies to her own kingdom and isn't as strong outside the Autumn realm.

Rot inducement: The power to cause anything organic to decay and or rot. Completely useless against inorganic things it is easy to let this power take over and simply rot away all life.

Autumn Kingdom

"All life is born anew"

Food: The people of Autumn have a variety of foods available from berries and vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, turnips and so on right through to rabbit, bird and deer meat. The food they make tends towards thick soups and harty meals ones that will keep a person going through the the long days.

Animals: Autumn also boasts a large array of animals, deer, rabbits, squirrels, mice and a variety of birds who call the wood their natural homes. Along with the foxes and a few woodland wolves there is also a herd of Jackalopes, these beasts are incredibly rare and perhaps only thirty to fifty remain of the heard. The animal is the protected creature of the crown and it's a tradition that in the King's seventeenth birthday they will go and choose one to be their life long companion. The animal stays with the King until it's death. Should the King die before the Jackalope then the animal is released back into the wild.

Home: The Autumn Kingdom has over half its land covered in great trees the largest of Al four Kingdoms as such they have built their homes in and around the trees, while some stone work can be found most homes are made entirely from wood and natural resources. The castle is by far the most lavish building no part of its exterior hasn't been expertly hand craft, second to the palcaes graduate are the homes of the woodworkers, each craftsman home is literally an advertisement for his trade.

Culture: The people of Autumn are hard working lot but it's all done with a smile on their faces! They are fircely proud of the royalty and those who work in the craft trade.  There is no greater honour for a an autumn crafter then to be named a craftsman of the King. Although wood working is their main trade, the people of Autumn are also minors of amber which can be found in large quantities amongst the trees and forests. Unlike the Kingdoms of Winter and Summer, Autumn people do not have unnatural long life however they are firm believers in reincarnation. There are many Autumn dwellers who have memories of previous lives.

I want to announce that I am going to give the King and Queen roles an unspecified amount of time for recruitment. I say "unspecified" because it'll be entirely dependent on instinct. But I do not want for Kings and Queens to enter the story line later in the "recruitment" sense. If we don't get Kings and Queens now, then they would have to be wed in game. This way, we don't have to worry about sudden changes to back story because I don't know how that would affect an already established story line set in motion by writers. I feel like it would be an interruption for someone to join later as a King or Queen through recruitment. So when that time comes, if a kingdom doesn't have a King or a Queen, then they will have one of the two because they have to have one of the two. If there isn't both a King and Queen, then writers can write the story however they want to explain why there isn't one. If they have princes and princesses, however, then someone is going to be a single mom or single dad.

Oh yeah! The Kings and Queens decide who their candidates for The Wearer will be. They can even choose themselves as candidate and upset their kids. XD It'll be entirely dependent on how you designed the personality of your characters. They might think the current princes and princesses are unfit for the role or they may be power-hungry and want it for a diabolical plot. The plot is wide-open. [Another idea] They might even choose someone not in the royal family, say a knight or their royal guardian, because they want the knight or royal guardian to compete in their stead or they just feel the knight's or royal guardian's skills are better.

Face Claim: Idris Elba
Full Name: King Daemon Kranz Mortis
Nickname(s): Fire Crown, Dragon of the South
Alias: "Lord Salamander" - Daemon's control over fire is so honed that in battle when he blazes his inner furnace, he is said to resemble Lord Salamander, the most powerful of all flame spirits.
Age: 54. Ironically similar to the detestable Winters, the people of Summer can live very long lives. Instead of being prolonged by their environment, the Summers possess "furnaces" within them that burn brightly at birth, then eventually smolder in old age and finally fizzle out at death. An active person has a healthier flame, and some people can live to be 150 years old or even beyond if they have powerful enough magic and keep finding ways to stoke their inner fire like combat or worthwhile intellectual pursuits.
Race: Summer
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Relationship Status: Married
Role: King
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Gold
Height: 6'8
Weight: 285lbs
General Description: A lifetime of training and combat have molded the King into an enviable physical specimen in the prime of his life. He stands at a mighty six feet, eight inches, and is nearly three-hundred pounds of rock-hard muscle forged in the fires of the desert. His skin is a dark, defined brown, and if you look closely, you can notice what appear to be veins made of fire glowing softly just underneath his skin in contrast to the brown. The intensity of the veins ebbs and flows with his mood, and when he is angry, they glow so brightly as to appear as tiny rivers of magma. As a member of the Drakkar Clan, descended from the Dragons themselves, it is why Daemon is so large and sturdy, and the fire veins are reminiscent to the same phenomena as when dragons breathe their flames. Even his blazing golden eyes show his heritage.

His hair is dreadlocked and usually swept back in a ponytail while allowing the rest to hang down naturally, and changes his facial hair from clean shaven all the way to a full beard with no real rhyme or reason behind whatever current look he is sporting, just personal preference for the time. He has multiple tattoos cast in "thermal ink", a unique export that changes the intensity of images created with it depending on the amount of heat applied. With no heat they are invisible, the opposite makes them vibrant and unmissable. He tends to wear comfortable, regal clothing that usually includes long flowing robes, scaled vests, and baggy, well-fitted pants and cloaks.

Personality: Daemon is surprisingly level-headed considering his people are known for their fiery temperaments, although he can rage with the best of them, and his temper tantrums have been known to be legendary. He is a stern, but fair and caring ruler, and only ever wants the best for his family and his people. His transparency with his kingdom, and willingness to help and be among the people has led to him being beloved by all true citizens of Summer. He tends to favor negotiation and politics, but has no problem whatsoever taking up arms and showing no mercy if things get to that point.

He tries his best to maintain control of himself, as he watched his fathers warmongering and paranoia cause no end of trouble that he has spent his entire time on the throne fixing. He loves his wife more than the beautiful Sun itself, and would shift Heaven and Earth to see her happy. Ever since they met at a stall where she was selling her wares, something about her aside from her stunning beauty caught his eye. He found himself returning to that same stall over and over in the coming months, showing his determination to simply be around her. After they married, he has done nothing but be a loving and attentive husband, especially after finding out about her Phoenix Clan heritage and lethal aversion to the cold. If anyone wants to see the fury of a dragon, they should attempt to dishonor or harm the King's wife or his family.

Likes: His Wife, His family, Fighting, Training, Hunting, Parties, Music, Animals, Entertainment(Plays, Concerts, Tournaments, etc...)

Dislikes: The Cold, Insurrection, Failure(his own and others depending on the severity), Indecision

Psychological Quirks: Daemon has been fighting since essentially childhood, and even now, decades later, he still fights a fair deal against would-be rebels and usurpers to the crown as well as the many powerful predators that call the Summer Lands home and even the few foolish people who would leave their lands to attack his. A lifetime of conflict, bloodshed, and flames has negatively impacted his outlook on life, and at times he has waking nightmares where he becomes lost within himself as the world falls away. He also has night terrors and often wakes up from terrible dreams in the middle of the night, as he burns the sweat from his body. If someone could do the math for the number of people he has personally killed(it's impossible since so many have been burned to ash), the result would be staggering and his issues would make perfect sense.

Backstory: This is an optional section for I know it may be hard to write this early on. Some people like to feel out their characters and build the story as they write them. That is fine. Delete all these words and leave this section blank until you have a story.

Weaponry: Daemon has spent a lifetime training and mastering an assortment of weaponry. He primarily wields a mystical longsword that can withstand the full might of his flames and burns white hot when he channels his powers into it. He also has a hooked kukri made from the same material so he can use one for attack and the other for defense. He tends to manifest the rest of his weaponry completely from flames.
Gear: His own flames protect him far better than any armor ever could, but for appearances sake and to put at ease the fears of his family and his guards, he wears a set of reinforced chain armor in combat.
Steed: Dune, a purebred Alpha Wyvern
Familiar: A Dragon hatchling he has named Pyron.

Magic:

Due to being a member of the Drakkar Clan, Daemon possesses inherently powerful magic because of the dragon blood in his veins. His flames are so hot, they burn black and are rumored to never die out unless he wills it.

Blazing Cloak - Daemon can summon a concentrated aura of flames around his body that take the form of blazing armor. As it is molded energy, the armor is as solid as steel, but flexes and bends upon impact as it is truly flame, and burns anyone who touches it, while it can scorch and melt weapons and other objects that come into proximity. A favored tactic to drop enemy morale is let them watch a rain of arrows turn to cinders before they reach him, or to grab a blade and turn it to slag in his grip.

Dragon's Blessing - By expertly manipulating his flames, he can intensify and amplify the output to allow him to fly. He does this by shooting flames from his body like jets and controlling the direction with small adjustments as he goes along. This grants him nearly unmatched maneuverability and speed in the air.

Boost - As he increases the burn within his furnace, he can manipulate the flames within his own body to increase his speed and strength well beyond even the most distinguished of normal warriors, similar to throwing more logs on a fire to get larger flame and greater heat. The hotter he gets, the more powerful he becomes, and the more the fire lines on his body are visible. At max temperature, they are hard to look at because of the intensity of the glow.

Flame Manipulation - As simple as it sounds, Daemon can manipulate his own flames, or take control of already existing flames nearby and bend them to his will. This could be something as simple as shooting fireballs or gouts of flame from his hands, breathing fire, or even creating weapons of solidified flame. At his strongest, he can create massive pillars of fire and cover large areas with intense flames.

SUMMER LANDS

“Passion & Power”

Food: The Summer folk live on a diet of meat, chicken, seafood, and a variety of fruits and vegetables that either grow wild in the desert, or are cultivated and farmed near the many rivers winding through the Summer Lands. They have a wide range of options when it comes to preparation and how food is made as well utilizing baking, boiling, frying, broiling, and a multitude of spices to add unique flavor only found in the South. Many Summer foods are considered delicacies and people brave the sands to have a taste of Drake Steak and Komodo Sausages just to name a few famous dishes.

Animals: The animals of the Summer Lands are hardy creatures evolved to not only survive, but thrive in the harsh environment and otherworldly heat. Lizards of all shapes and sizes from tiny geckos to the mighty and revered dragon are found all throughout the South, and are the most populous of animal type, to the point where they are the primary beast of choice whether it be a pet, a mount, or even as a beast of burden.

The Royal Family, their elite guard, and the most wealthy of Summer citizens ride Wyverns, intelligent, yet less powerful cousins to the dragon who make excellent steeds as they can fly just as easily as they can stride across the sands. However their temperament requires much training, and feeding them costs an arm and a leg. Lesser soldiers and common citizens ride Drakes(wingless reptiles) and Komodo Rhinos. And Earth Dragons and Dracolisks are used to haul material and equipment, as they are slow, but sturdy. Plenty of birds make the South their home, as well as sea creatures of all kinds in the rivers and ocean. Mammals are rare in comparison, but not unheard of as dogs, cats, rodents and more are also quite common.

Vegetation: All plant life found in the South are tough and able to survive long periods of time without water, or with only small amounts absorbed from the rains and the oasis' dotting the desert. Cacti of an almost endless variety, and a multitude of hardy desert plants can be found all through the Summer Lands. The sands are surprisingly fertile however, and can easily accept plants from other Kingdoms in inhabited areas like cities where they can be grown and harvested. For anyone who gets lost in the desert, a small blessing is that almost every plant contains enough water within for at least a cups worth to keep you going.

Homes: The Summer Lands are hot, and the desert winds can blow without mercy for days at a time. As as result, the Summer Folk primarily build their permanent homes from mud, clay, and stone that is strengthened through secret heating techniques to make them extremely durable against the damage the desert is capable of laying out. Even the doors and windows are reinforced so they don't get blown open by howling winds. They also have to be tough to withstand the might of the Drakes, Wyverns, and other desert creatures that make the cities their home.

For example, a pet Wyvern would usually sleep on the roof of it's owners house, so they have to be able to handle the weight. The Summer Folk also travel the vast lands of the South regularly, so they have become masters at crafting Yurts, portable tents that can be easily and quickly covered in furs and skins to provide more than adequate protection in the desert when no shelter is readily available. Due to the sheer size of the South, most homes and official buildings(stores, the Castle, offices) are built with more space than is necessary so that in the case of a sudden sandstorm, anyone unable to make it to their own can hunker down with a neighbor until the danger passes(as some storms are powerful enough to strip flesh from bone)

Culture: Summer Folk are known for their intense passion and fiery personalities, and it's not surprising for a fight to break out over something as simple as a disagreement. Their culture has long since accepted it as a thing of normalcy, and unless evidence is provided for one side or the other, the victor of argument or fight is generally treated as the correct party in that instance. The Summers are hands down, the best blacksmiths, stone workers, and metal workers in the world of Season, due to their ability to manipulate flames, and therefore freely handle superheated materials with their bare hands and precision tools that can only be used by someone with fire magic.

Summer Steel is some of the most sought after material around. They have also become skilled fishermen thanks to the myriad rivers that snake through the land and the large ocean encompassing parts of their border. There are no truly poor people in the Summer Lands, and even the destitute or homeless will find families willing to house them in exchange for labor, the ability to join the military and receive full benefits of a soldier, and orphanages and adoption centers for children without families.

Fashion: The Summer folk tend to wear light clothing that flows easily and can also be used to help protect one from the sands. Vests, cloaks, long flowing robes, and even shawls and headwraps are common in the South. The colors are usually eye-popping and very vibrant, to help stand out against the endless gold and brown of the desert, so a rainbow of colors on a single outfit is nothing out of the ordinary. The material of clothing is as varied as the people, and silk is as often seen as cotton.

This is my WIP.

Face Claim: Vilyana Lasalle
Full Name: Queen Celeste Ember Mortis, Maiden Name: Phoenix
Nickname(s): As acquired
Alias: The Phoenix Queen, Fireheart
Age: 51
Race: Summer
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Relationship Status: Married
Role: Summer Queen
Hair Color: Dark Brown
Eye Color: Chocolate
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 150 lbs
General Description: In the Kingdom of Summer, the Phoenix clan were renown for having the most beautiful people. Unfortunately, the clan was always short-lived. The Phoenix clan struggled every season. Many died off during the winter unable to survive the harsh cold and when a phoenix dies they leave behind ashes. When Summer circled around, the sun ignited the ashes and babies were born from the embers. Summers desperately tried to protect the infants, creating special orphanages for them that guarded them from the cold. Celeste was raised in one of these orphanages and she grew into a tall and slender figure. Her hair grew thick and curly, and the queen is often changing her hair style. She will wear thick braids, thin braids, or have her tight coils pressed into long, spiraling curls. Her face is always marked in a gold face paint. It was something that she learned her people used to do. Gold necklaces, earrings, bangles, and chokers decorate her body, and when she is traveling outside her kingdom, she often hides her beauty beneath a silken shawl. Ever since The Wearer has frozen the seasons within their respective kingdoms, Celeste has been able to mature into a full woman with a motherly bosom and rounded hips. Even after giving birth to children (assumed), the queen has maintained her attractive figure, but not without hard work. She often looks like a trophy when she sits at her husband’s side, but the queen is a warrior when she’s not playing queen. She is quite the long-distance runner.

Personality: Celeste has grown up surrounded by other orphans. She used to fear the winter for many told her that that was how her people were killed. She feared the seasons changing. She wanted to live and experience this life to its fullest. Having grown up without parents, Celeste developed resiliency. She became accustomed to doing everything herself and not relying on others. When she became old enough that she no longer could stay in the orphanage, she had to learn to live all on her own. She received no guidance, and so she had to learn from multiple jobs. Celeste has been a baker, a weaver, and she has even tried to sell various foods for merchants. Merchants discovered the beauty and used her charms to sell to various customers. One customer just-so-happened to be a noble [possible story collab with King here].

Celeste had multiple jobs for as she became less gullible, she discovered that she wasn’t getting paid as much as she liked. She was a hard worker, and she cared about the quality of her work. She loved baking and weaving, but she was never given what her products were truly worth. She developed her “spark,” which intimidated many and kept them from crossing her. She was pretty, but she knew how to give people a “look” that made them uncomfortable. Her children and husband know it well.

The Phoenix is soft-spoken and doesn’t raise her voice unless she is truly angry. While she is tactful when she speaks, she is frank with her opinions. Celeste doesn’t like to feel limited, and it could have been this strength that attracted her husband. She wasn’t just a pretty face as many believed her to be. Ever since she was married, Celeste has been content. She finally has a family, something she didn’t have before, and she is thankful. She is just as protective of her children as her husband and like a mama bear, she will defend them. They are all that she has.

Likes: Her husband, children, baking, running, jewelry, makeup, getting her hair done, baths, prickly pears and other fruits since they are so rare.
Dislikes: The cold, naysayers, people who look down on her, people who threaten her family, people who make excuses and waste her time.
Psychological Quirks: Celeste greatly fears the seasons changing, knowing that if winter came around, she would most likely die. The worst part was having to tell her husband about it. She didn't expect him to love such a perishable wife. She fears for her children. Hopefully their half-dragon blood would grant them greater resiliance.

Backstory: This is an optional section for I know it may be hard to write this early on. Some people like to feel out their characters and build the story as they write them. That is fine. Delete all these words and leave this section blank until you have a story.

Weaponry: Curved knives
Gear: In combat, she wears a medium armor of hard leather. However, she trains in cotton. When she visits other kingdoms, she wears a light armor beneath her garish robes.
Steed: Maybe a raptor-like creature? (To be discussed lol)
Familiar: Desert Eagle (WiP)

Magic:

Fire Whisper: Celeste can speak into the fire and her voice can carry to another location where there is a flame. This is how she can communicate with her husband whenever he is away.

Burning Wave: Celeste can unleash a wave of fire to scorch anything in front of her.

Phoenix Kiss: Celeste’s kiss can cauterize a wound. When the burned flesh cracks away, pristine flesh is left behind without scarring.

Heat Wave: Phoenix-like wings of fire will unfurl behind her, sprawling outwards and emanating from them an intense heat that can escalate the temperature in a room. This heat can grow so hot to light wooden furniture on fire, melt candle wax, and heat up steel.

WIP SPRING - Anyone else in spring let me know thoughts and I will update this as we come up with ideas!

SPRING KINGDOM

“Together we thrive”

Food: The Kingdom of Spring has quite the variety of plant life in abundance. Much of the kingdom's food consists of practically any kind of plant product you can imagine, from berries to chocolate Spring has it all. Due to the plentiful plant based foods there is little need for meats so many are vegetarian. However, due to the large array of foods there is lots for the animals to grow large and plentiful as well, so if people do want meat there is plenty to be had.

Homes: The bulk of Spring's land rarely gets far from 71°F (22°C) and consequently shelter is not strictly needed. This combined with the large array of natural resources Spring's citizen's build all manor of houses for themselves, ranging from mud huts to stone castles, from sleeping under the stars to log cabins.

Culture: Spring's abundant recourses allow for a rather unique society. In Spring the government has a number of universities around the kingdom and they are free to all citizens. People have free access to all the basic necessities for life including food, clothing and housing. People are expected to find a calling in life that they find fulfilling and pursue it to the best of their ability.

Fashion: Due to the temperate environment no clothing is strictly required and many people in Spring are nudists. Those that do decide to wear clothing fall in two major camps. On the less dressed end is those that fashion some form of clothes out of growing plants into shape as needed. For instance, an array of vines grown around a person covering sensitive bits. The other main camp is those that wear light cotton outfits that are soft and moves well.
A&A's

"When at 15, my girlfriends started dropping out of their beloved sports teams, because they didn't want to appear muscle-y, when at 18, my male friends were unable to express their feelings, I decided that I was a feminist." - Emma Watson
