"There was an idea, Stark knows this, called the Avengers Initiative. The idea was to bring together a group of remarkable people, see if they could become something more. See if they could work together when we needed them to too fight the battles we never could."

Nick Fury- Avengers

They fought the good fight, the battles that the people of Earth never could.  Loki of Asgard, Ultron, and finally Thanos himself. Somehow this group did the impossible, coming together and defending us when we needed them. They won time and time again, facing down beings mightier than them and winning when no one else could.

Then they lost…

Like all great heroes, the loss was short lived. The Mad Titan Thanos won the battle but not the war. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes came together calling forth every ally they could and undoing the aptly named “snapture”. In the final battle Thanos was leveled brought down by in Invincible Iron Man Tony Stark. The man who had started all of this, who rose from his own corrupted ashes soared as a true hero.

Then there was Captain America the “first” Avenger. His mission to return the Infinity Stones left him lost in time and space. Some say he returned an old man whereas others say he never returned at all. Both men, both legends were mourned appropriately and given funerals both personal and public.  The world celebrated half its population returning, and though there was sadness the world as a whole looked forward to a bright future. They were safe, knowing their mightiest had their back.

Ten Years After The Vanished Returned

The World is still recovering, The disappearance and reappearance of half the worlds population after five years has thrown off the delicate balance to the ecosystem and the economy. World leaders who were taken in the snap compete against those who took control during the five years they vanished. This schism is felt the most on the West Coast as they have succeeded from the United States in the Ten years after the aptly named “Return”. They call themselves the Collective.

Norway is now entirely New Asgard with it’s people coexisting side by side with the mythic gods and goddesses who have spread out among the entire nation. They along with Wakanda operate as the top countries nowadays.

No one is safe from the Cult of Thanos however. This group of men and women believe that Thanos was in the right for destroying half the worlds population. They actively seek to cut the worlds population in half once more.

SHIELD has also came back, albeit with no ties to any of the current governments vying for power. Nick Fury has turned over directorship to Maria Hill, though he has been known to consult from time to time.

In the last few years there has also been rumors of something new. Men and women not enhanced through means of science or magic. Instead they were born with their powers or received them after coming back in the return. This new species were born or created from the population that vanished in the snapture. They are classified as mutants.

This is the post Thanos world, a world still besieged by problems. A world that has no idea what trouble is coming for it. For outside of time and space a conqueror has awakened, awakened and found out that someone’s been messing with time.

And time is his domain.

The Mutant Factor

1.Mutants born are born from people who were part of the vanished, while mutants not born were the ones who vanished
2.Mutants can be OC mutants or Canons like Cyclops, Jean Gray, and storm
3.Charles Xavier and his school would not yet be in play
4. The vanished that came back roughly five percent of them came back with a mutation
5. Any children born of the vanished are mutants even if they themselves are not.

So basically what I mean by this is you can play as one of the vanished who came back with a mutation.

katgrimm

I’d like to play Cassie Lang. This puts her at 23 ish right?
Muses welcome; currently in the thick of mastering my Hope Van Dyne-Pym, Natasha Romanov, Felicia Hardy, Lois Lane, Kara Zoe-El and Barbara Gordon.

Norsegod1839

Yes indeed! Something like that at least. Plenty old enough to have worked with Papa Ant Man and Step Mom The Wasp!

katgrimm

Yes! I’d love it! Cassie I see her learning to be like Hope regarding fighting and smarts. She’d definitely be her father’s daughter being funny and nerdy.
Muses welcome; currently in the thick of mastering my Hope Van Dyne-Pym, Natasha Romanov, Felicia Hardy, Lois Lane, Kara Zoe-El and Barbara Gordon.

Norsegod1839

If no one steps up to play him or both of them then I will NPC both. Yay! I am very happy about this! I will mark it as claimed.

An Morgan would be around 18 or 19 right? Just finishing her first or second masters degree if she was like dad.

I could see her studying under Shuri in Wakanda.

I could have fun with a girl living the shadow of the legendary Tony Stark

Just about! I have ideas for that as well I was thinking her dad might have mapped his brain and turned it into an AI for her

Another idea might be that Peter Parker is her mentor of sorts

That could be a little of both.. the AI was misplaced and Uncle Pete is determined to give her what Tony tried to give him.. time to be a kid.

One idea is that she isn’t into heroics.. till the Cult of Thanos tries to kill her?

Edit: she’d only be 15.  My bad

Norsegod1839

I like that! There's no reason that she has to be into her heriocs right away.

I could either have it be that Tony AI built her an armor because.. let's face it Tony AI would be paranoid like real Tony. Or she can come into her own armor after the fact.

I might have Pepper operate as Rescue now if only because I think she might feel an obligation to it after Tony died.

Need to be a little older though. At 10 years after she’d be 15 and the oldest mutant would be 9-10 ish

I’d like to play Morgan though

The Dark Raven

Interested, sent Norse a PM question. :)

Check my A/A | O/O | Patience is begged. Momma to Rainbow Babies and teetering toward the goal of published author. Tentatively taking new stories.

Norsegod1839

I'm going to say she was eight to ten years old when Endgame happened... either making her eighteen or twenty

The second point though.... hmmmm your right mutants would only be about nine to ten. Let's say this, children and people coming back from the snap found themselves mutated

SO for clarification

1. The vanished that came back roughly five percent of them came back with a mutation
2. Any children born of the vanished are mutants even if they themselves are not.

Callie Del Noire

I’d like to play Morgan as an 18-20 year old. Living in Daddy’s shadow would be interesting

Norsegod1839

Sounds good! I quite like that. I'll get with you in PM and talk about the Peter and AI Tony Idea. I do really like your idea of her getting involved after the Cult tries to kill her.

That might even be the first mission of the new "avengers" that a threat is made against her and everyone get assigned to her protection detail. Maybe even in secret because it's been made aware to everyone that she is not interested in the super hero life.

Norsegod1839

Edited to reflect Callie as our Morgan Stark.

Also I clarified the Mutants thing as well but for those popping in I want to clarify here to

You can be a part of the people who vanished and have come back with mutations. IE Ororo Monroe coming back with weather powers or Scott Summers with his Cyclops power set. Or you can be a new mutant I will take original concepts with this.

Any super hero who survived Endgame is playable as well.

Norsegod1839

Also one other point of clarification, this game takes place ten years after the vanished returned and the Avengers won.

Norsegod1839

With the interest shown I have went ahead and put the CS sheet up. CS sheets can either be Pm'd to me directly for approval or posted on the board.

Norsegod1839

Thread has been updated to include our first two approved characters!

Aegis

The Basics
Legal Name: Morgan Stark
Alias: Aegis, 'Iron Woman', 'Rescue' (Names in quotes are names given in the media, not ones she accepts)
Age: Physically/Mentally: 19, Chronologically: 16
Gender: Female

Physical Description
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 135 pounds
Face Claim: India Eisley
General Appearance: She has a bit on her mom, taking after her father in height and coloration but definitely possessing that intangible quality of beauty that Pepper has. She favors comfort over stylishness.

Personality and History
It's hard growing up in the shadow of the man who literally saved half of existence. Morgan has been in that shadow since she was five, and is even more acutely aware of it since her father and mother did everything they could to given her a normal life in the wake of the 'Snap'. She knew, even as a child, that her father carried a heavy burden and after his death in Wakanda she was devastated for a while. Happy Hogan and Peter Parker stepped in to be favored uncles, Pepper kept her foremost in her thoughts even as she stepped in to take over Stark Industries. She grew up with the some of the most famous names on Earth. Hawkeye showed her how to shoot a bow with his daughter, she studied under such names as Shuri and Bruce Banner.
By the age of 10 she was studying for a degree, by age 15 she had two masters and was working on several other degrees. She had 'fixed' the Extremis tech developed by AIM and incorporated it along with an AI of her father into her own biology by 16
Like her father, she sees herself as a futurist, though she tries to understand other peoples views. She sees the 'Wankandan model' of technology as the way to go and spends a lot of time working with Shuri to understand how they were able to keep their culture and traditions at the same time as having a huge technology base beyond anything the rest of the Pre-Infinity war world had. She thinks the next step is to move off world, and that would involve at least modified version of Starktech suits to move into orbit. Her goal, prior to the incident' was to establish orbital manufacturing for Stark in orbit and a moon base staging point for developing the rest of the solar system.
After her return from the Quantum realm, she understands her father a lot better. She spent nearly 4 years in what could be called hell, to return to the very same place she had left only 180 minutes, give or take, after she'd left. The dilettante student scientist with her dreams in the cloud and eye on the horizon has been replaced by someone closer to what her father had been. A woman looking to shield everyone from harm. Aegis.

Personality
She is a confident woman who knows she's got her mother's beauty, charisma and patience as well her father's raw genius and ability to learn anything quickly. She tries not to 'step' on folks in interactions and thus is more polite and quiet in her encounters with others.
Biography
Morgan, up to the age of 16, is most likely one of the most well known faces on the planet. She was the daughter of Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, and Pepper Potts-Stark. She grew up with her parents doing everything they could to give her a normal life, running Stark Industries in the way of Thanos' victory from a small cabin in the woods; that pretty much ended when her father undid everyone's death that Thanos' 'snap' was responsible for me.
Pepper returned to the world of industry and business, but kept Morgan first in her priorities; Morgan never lacked for 'family' to look after her. In a way the Avengers were her extended family. As she grew up, she had Cassie Lang as a baby sitter, Happy Hogan and Peter Parker as 'uncle's, Steve Rogers as her 'grandfather' till his passing when she was 12, and the rest. She was a most cherished child in the Avenger's family, and grew up among legends, but to her they were 'uncles' and 'aunts'. She loves them but never really understood why they did what they did.
Till the day the Cult of Thanos attacked the Pym/Stark High Energy Facility's dedication.

Superpowers & Equipment

Powers:
- Extremis Plus: She has developed and altered the original extremis biotech into a network of micro-arc reactors, a network of biological computers and managed metabolism. Essentially she IS the network that allows her to control/manage her power armor. She can heal and regenerate damage at an accelerated rate, and direct her immune system to mange problems she might encounter. She's incorporated her father's AI into her nervous system. He can communicate with her, even appearing as an image in her field of view, or by projecting holograms from her suit's projector or any computer system she can synch with. She has to touch most systems to link with them, if she's not in her suit, and the AI does most of the work. Inside her suit she can 'hack' systems on the fly though she isn't still as skilled as her father would have been. She has incorporated a radio, cellular connection and display links that input audio and video for both.
- Aegis Suit Mk 15: The suit is not the best she can build, but given the materials, time and resources she had at the time, it is the best that could be build. It is comparable to the Mk 46 Iron Man suit (Captain American: Civil War)
-- Strength/Endurance: The suit is capable of taking amazing amounts of damage, and lifting massive amounts of weight (at least 40 tons with proper leverage). it can shrug off most light to medium anti-armor attacks and is a fully sealed environmental system capable of providing life support for several hours at a time.
-- Lasers/Repulsors: The suit has the ability to fire both repulsers (Chest and Palms) and Lasers (wrists and shoulders).
-- Munitions: Due to limited resources, she has a few 'bunker buster' micromissiles (Three to each shoulder based launcher) without reloads. She could create reloads using the suit's repair function and available materials but it takes time (typically an hour or more, given resources)
-- Repair systems: Repair is possible, given resources. Repairs do take time though, the more damage the long she needs.
-- Sensory Systems: She had augmented audio/video sensors, radio/cellular communications suite, satellite communication capacity (out of date initially), and the ability to interact with a variety of computers and technology. Note: Intially she will be 3 years out of date, so not all Earth based systems will be completely compatible with her suit/extermis interface.
- Molecular Shifting:The result of surviving for nearly four years in the Quantum realm, her control of her molecular phase is under her reflexive control (unconscious and conscious ).
-- Phasing: She can phase out of synch with relative ease, though much easier with the added processing power of the Aegis suit. She has much better control of the ability than Ghost does to the fact that her Father's AI and the Extremis network, along with a series of micro-arc reactors are implanted in her body.
-- Density: She has recently started on using her ability to INCREASE her molecular density. It is far more draining and difficult to perform and she can't hold a high density form (8 times her normal molecular density is her current max). She is hampered by the fact it is hard to do this in her suit, as the increased mass and feedback from her heightened strength damages the suit's armature (muscle systems). it also makes it hard to move and strains even her robust biochemistry. Her current 'Best time' is 2 minutes, after which she spent a day healing the biological strain moving in that level of density provides. (She's resistant to low power firearms and some medium power at range, she can lift upwards of 10 tons with leverage, and weight increases eightfold (1,160 pounds.) ) It also takes a much higher level of concentration from both her and the AI to do this. It also accelerates her already high metabolic rate to a level that is extremely dangerous (like Olympian water polo players she could lose up to 10 pounds of mass)

Skills

Skill Name:
- Certified Genius: She is Tony Stark's daughter. To say she is smart is an understatement, prior to the 'Incident' Morgan has multiple degrees in technology. They included physics, engineering (Electronic, Chemical, and Mechanical) and a grasp that even in her teens put her on the level of her teachers (Bruce Banner, Shuri, and Hank Pym). She can, and has, combined multiple technologies in ways even her father hadn't considered. She has an excellent grasp of high energy, subatomic and quantum physics that few could match (Hank Pym, Bruce Banner and Janet Van Dyne)
- Accomplished Hacker: She is an accomplished hacker with a literal 'built in' ally in the AI her father created for her. Between the two of them, her extremis linking ability and an intuitive grasp of computers and the built in hacking software in her biological network, there are few computers she can't hack with time and access even being three years out of date. Remote hacking requires a way to connect, which would be thru her suit or other network connection.
- Survivalist: She learned a lot in the time she was exiled from Earth. She is a capable hunter and scavenger, able to build rudimentary tools to survive with, track and hunt. She is skilled with the bow (thanks Uncle Hawkeye) and the knife as well as having been trained up to a expert level with handguns by several members of her extended family.

VoluptuousVixen

Valkyire
Real Name:  Brunnhilde of Asgaurd
Group Affiliation: Revengers, Valkyires(Formerly)
Height:  6'0"
Weight:  135 lbs.
Arch-Enemies:  Hela (formerly), The Grandmaster
Nickname:  Scrapper 142, Angry Girl

Powers:

Asgardian Physiology: As an Asgardian, Brunnhilde has superhuman abilities. ◾Superhuman Strength: Like all Asgardians, Brunnhilde possesses superhuman strength. However, she possesses far greater strength than the average Asgardian as a Warrior Maiden. As the leader of the Valkyries, her strength surpasses all the other Warrior Maidens, superior to that of Loki, and nearly matching with that of Thor and Hulk, the latter of whom she was able to knock down in a brief sparing match.
◾Superhuman Agility: Valkyrie naturally possesses greater agility, dexterity, balance, and body coordination than that of a normal human being, allowing her to easily jump and fall on her feet.
◾Superhuman Speed: Valkyrie can move at high speeds, allowing her to dodge a powerful attack from Hulk, to deflect a wave of projectiles hurled at her by Hela in rapid succession, and to momentarily incapacitate Hela with a sudden jump on the latter.
◾Superhuman Stamina: Like all Asgardians, Valkyrie's musculature produces considerably less fatigue toxins during physical activity than that of humans, which allowed her to fight many Berserkers, and even the more powerful Hela herself, without tiring at all.
◾Superhuman Durability: Valkyrie's body is much more resistant to physical harm than that of a human. hence, she was able to withstand Hela's mighty attacks, falls from great heights, extreme pressures and temperatures and powerful explosions.
◾Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite her body's resistance, Valkyrie can be injured like any other Asgardian. However, her metabolism enables her to rapidly regenerate damaged bodily tissue with greater speed and efficiency than that of a human.
◾Longevity: Like all Asgardians, Valkyrie ages at a rate that is much slower than that of a human being, allowing her to remain physically young for thousands of years.

Skills:

  • Master martial artist, spy, swordswoman, leader
  • Highly intelligent, fluent in various alien languages
Bio:  Brunnhilde was one of the many Valkyries sent by Odin to fight Hela. Riding a winged steed, Brunnhilde and her fellow Valkyries engaged Hela in combat. Hela created a large amount of bladed weapons that she used to kill the Valkyries as they descended on her. Brunnhilde was the only survivor; following the defeat, she exiled herself to the planet Sakaar where she served the Grandmaster as one of his best acquisition specialists under the name "Scrapper 142." She had an antagonistic relationship with the Grandmaster's bodyguard, Topaz, but was favored by the Grandmaster himself. Scrapper 142 eventually found and brought the Grandmaster the Hulk after he was lost in space and landed on Sakaar.

Scrapper 142 brought the Grandmaster a new contender, Thor. Taking him from a group of Sakaaran Scrappers that intended to use him as food, she implanted him with an Control Disk and was paid ten million Units for delivering him to the Grandmaster. Buying alcohol near the gladiator's quarters, she was pointed out by the gladiator Korg as an Asgardian. Thor attempted to hold a conversation with her, telling her of the Siege of Asgard and Hela's return. Thor noticed a tattoo on her wrist symbolising her as a Valkyrie. However, she ignored Thor and left to watch the fight between Thor and the Hulk from her ship. After the duel, Thor once again attempted to enlist her aid to escape the planet but she again refused. Undeterred, Thor broke free by managing to get the controller for the Obedience Disk from her and disarming it. Displeased, the Grandmaster set Valkyrie and Loki to find Thor and the Hulk, who had followed his friend. She argued with Loki who also found out about her Asgardian heritage and used his powers to make her relive the battle against Hela. With the memories awakened, Valkyrie decided to help Thor after all. She freed all the gladiators in the Grandmaster's service to start a rebellion, while Thor and Bruce Banner – who she was unaware was the Hulk but felt like she knew – stole the Grandmaster's ship. Using her own vessel, she followed the Commodore and began fighting the pursuit vessels that the Grandmaster had sent after them. Valkyrie's ship was destroyed, and she used her Asgardian abilities to jump from vessel to vessel, destroying them with her bare hands. Thor joined her in her efforts before boarding the Commodore and escaping Sakaar through the largest portal known as the "Devil's Anus. On Asgard, Thor supplied Valkyrie with her traditional armor. While Bruce piloted the Commodore, Valkyrie used a large laser cannon to try and stop Fenris from attacking the Asgardians attempting to flee Asgard via the Bifrost Bridge. The weapon failed to stop the large wolf, prompting Bruce to unleash the Hulk to stop Fenris.

Valkyrie fought Hela's Berserkers on the Bifrost while the Asgardians boarded a spaceship brought to Asgard by Loki. She joined Thor in fighting Hela directly while Loki triggered Ragnarök by reuniting Surtur's crown with the Eternal Flame. As Surtur destroyed Asgard, Valkyrie joined the remaining Asgardians aboard the ship under the leadership of their new king, Thor.

Vals Social Web:
Thor: He's her new King and friend, she has a physical attraction to him.
Hulk: Team-mate and friend. Brunnhilde finds him very amusing.
Loki: Reluctantly allied with him but she doesn't fully trust him.
