What is this Place?
Over my time here, I've always wanted to have a place to work out ideas beyond what I've done in my Craving's forum thread so, since the wiki provides with a much easier place to organize and edit, I thought, why not here? But that doesn't really answer the question, does it? This place will have at least three groupings - Rough Ideas, Snippets, and In Development, .
Rough Ideas most closely tie to my "Pictures that Inspire" part of my Cravings. I've found an image that I like and gives me some ideas. This might seem like some of the pieces of my Craving thread (those will migrate here), but this is going to be much more than that in the end. It'll be a stream of consciousness and musings about what I think about that imagine, stories it conjures and what I might want to do with it. Really for me, but if you see something, give me a shout. It might have a subsection or two eventually.
Then what are Snippets? These are just going to be one-or-two sentence ideas that I've gotten while playing in other games ("hey, wouldn't it be cool if...") or just random musings that aren't really even worth putting in my cravings thread. Simple stray thoughts that I want to keep track of in case I can grow it into something more - maybe find an image that ties to it, that sort of thing. Maybe its a Fandom (which I do list on my cravings) or maybe its something more. There will be subgroups (Fandoms, Pairings, etc).
In Development are those ideas from my thread that are, as you might guess, under development. I've found someone who is interested and since I typically don't like playing in multiple stories that are essentially the same, I really ought to take them down. But we've all experienced a time or two when the story ultimately falls through. Or, perhaps on the positive side, that story's development leads you to take an unexpected turn and you want to jot that down and develop it separately. That is what the first section is for.
Ready Ideas
Almost Shaped
For fully developed ideas, please look at my Craving thread (see top bar of this page). Ideas here are still in development or have yet to be converted.
- An Adventurer's Betrothal: A relatively minor noble by birth, he had grown famous for his heroic deeds and his devotion to the crown. A skilled warrior and a brilliant tactician, he'd faced down armies twice that of his and emerged victorious. Young and handsome, he was beloved by the entire kingdom. Tales were told of his adventurers, joining with what rag-tag bands might travel through the kingdom to eliminate threats that an army was ill-suited. His fame greater than his father, he had just assumed none would attempt to make a match for him without his consent. He was wrong. The Queen, an ageless sorceress who served her people with the greatest of devotion, sought an husband of her daughter, a powerful sorceress in her own right and perhaps the only other adventurer in the kingdom with the sort of fame he had. Everyone agreed - except the two of them. In three months, they would be wed. In the meantime, they decided the other way to know if they would be a good pair - or kill each other - is to set off for one last adventure before their nuptials.
- (Solo, MF, Fantasy) The goal here is not so much drama, but a bit of humor. Imagine if the princess and her bethrothed disappeared into dangerous situations months before their marriage. I imagine she's by no means a spoiled princess - she's powerful in her own right. Perhaps they take on different personas so they're not instantly recognized throughout the kingdom, or maybe they don't. I see this as a fun story where they do fall for each other and becoming a long-term story. We could RP their wedding and then they continue to adventure afterwards. I DM regularly, so I could come up with ideas quite quickly.
- Choices to be Made: He was a local and girls would flock to the little island to relax and enjoy the sun. He usually didn't gather their attention, working on the boats and jet skis, but then she looked at him. It was a whirlwind and they spent the better part of a week twisted in the sheets, if not in the sun. Almost got him fired. But like most things, she went home and he went back to work. A decade later, she reappears. And he's not just the handyman, he owns his business. Sure, he doesn't hold a candle to the wealth to her fiance, soon to be husband, but as she looks at him, she realizes that there's a love there that she has no idea what to do with. And he can't let her throw away the life she would have.
- (Solo, MF, Contemporary) This is to be a slow burn story - if you want smut then you'll need to look elsewhere. I want tension; their from two different worlds and while he's aspirational, he'll never sniff the ability to provide a wedding like that, much less life. But she's also not really desiring that... but rather him. BUt her family is there expecting a wedding in a few days. What will they do? - Broken: A captured Jedi. A sith that wants him. Both physically and his loyalty. He'll break. He'll worship her. He has no choice in the end.
- (Solo, MF, Contemporary) This too will be a slow burn, but a lot more smut. She's trying to break him from his Jedi ways. She can't just strap on the latex and whip him, she's got to make him want that. First its just mental, and so on and so on. I really want to try bondage in the end, but I want to build to it. I'll be picky with this one. Could also be another setting if it makes sense (X-Men, Demoness, etc - for the imagine DebtOwed1, it could be even breaking him "in a good way" so he can help her in the end?).(NLDamn.jpg, NLPyslocke.jpg, NLSuccubus.jpg, NLDebtOwed1.jpg)
- What was I thinking?: Met her at a bar. Gorgeous. Into me. And now here I am, in a penhouse neither of us own, drinking wine that I can't afford in a year and she's saying this is just the beginning?
- (Solo, MF, Contemporary) Can you tell I like this kind of story? Mostly because its hard to find it. Like another story, this one is an extended one-night stand.
