Worst Memory(ies): When she was five she was playing hide and seek with her brothers and climbed into a small cave by the shore. She fell asleep while waiting to be found and when she woke up the cave had flooded for the most part, trapping her in the dark until low tide.
Best Memory(ies): Yearly family Quidditch tournaments at Midsummer's. Holidays 2012 with Iggy.

Personal History
Kris grew up in a Norwegian countryside, about an hour drive from the capital, nurtured into her preteens by a loving family. When her second oldest brother was old enough to enter the Ministry education system the family moved to London. She was raised to know she can do anything she wants to and that if she works hard enough she can achieve her dreams. She was also raised to know she is a strong, good person who deserves nothing less than respect, as long as she shows the same respect to others. A wholesome childhood, one might say. She has three older brothers and two of them undeniably protective of her, which has made her confident and feisty from dealing with them and standing her ground, as well as rather spoiled. Who, after all, would willingly mistreat or bully a kid that has three big brothers at her defense?

Family
About the crest: The main elements are the dragons and the flowers on either side, and the tree in the middle. The dragons stand for the family's age old connection to the fierce creatures though the actual history with them is mostly tales by now. The only definitely known dragon trainer is grandfather Blackwood. The flowers stand for home and family, the other side of the coin and a very big part of what the Blackwoods stand for.
The tree in the middle has both a literal and symbolic meaning, a black tree for Blackwood, and then the widely recognized symbolism of the circle of life, roots, strength, life and family, strength in knowing your origins and all that.
The family motto is Virtus - Familia - Veritas. Virtus stands for strength, bravery, resolution, etc. Familia obviously for family and brotherhood. And Veritas stands for truth, honesty, certainty, etc.
The Blackwood family is a pure blood family who has resided in Norway since many generations back. The name was originally Svartskog but due to common misunderstanding that they had affiliation with a family of dark wizards living in a place by that name, they got it legally registered as the English equivalent. They are not, nor have ever been, pure blood extremists.
The Blackwood you are looking at is of the youngest generation. Dominik has two older brothers and a younger sister: Dan is the oldest, then James, Dominik and then Kris the youngest. Kris, Dom and James are close in age but Dan is a few years older. They have a huge family of uncles and aunts, most in Russia, Norway and the United Kingdom. The family sport is without any doubt Quidditch, though muggle sports have definitely taken a place as well, football (soccer) probably the most. Another shared family interest amongst the branches in Northern Europe are dragons. Only one family member (grandfather Blackwood) actually dedicated his life to them, but the interest and fascination is definitely there.
Durmstrang is where the older generations of Blackwoods got their education, but some sides of the family went to Hogwarts. Those who attended Hogwarts have most been sorted into Gryffindor, though the other houses have had their representatives as well.
Being a wealthy family, the Blackwoods bought a large property in the outskirts of London when they moved.
More about the Blackwoods: The Blackwoods are a large, tight knit family who value things like a long dinner where everybody shares what they've been up to, that drag on into the evening and end with sitting around the fire, dad and granddad playing chess and the rest of the family gathered around, talking and laughing, playing music or simply reading surrounded by loved ones. Friends of the siblings are always welcome to visit, and staying the night is never an issue as long as Eva has reached the friend's parents about it at some point and established that this is indeed alright with them as well. Those who visit are treated like family, sat down at the dinner table and asked to bring their plate to the kitchen after a meal, brought into discussions and games and asked to make themselves at home.
Some have found it a little overwhelming, especially when faced with the warm nature of the majority of the family. Eve and grandma Bridget (when she's at the house) will give big, tight hugs and kiss cheeks, and although Björn and grandpa Blackwood (who lives with them now after he finally retired from his work) will not do that there is no doubt that you are welcome in the house and considered as good as family. As long as you don't show disrespect.
Somehow there always seems to be someone visiting the family. Aunts and uncles from other towns and countries stay at the house when they come to London, as do numerous friends. It is safe to say the household is a lively one, but it is also organized to detail by Eva. Dinner is at six o'clock sharp. There will be no practicing on instruments after eight o'clock in the evening. This was a rule put in place when James started playing the drums... No brooms in the house, no animals in the kitchen, no Quidditch in the house (and yes, that needed a rule because the kids played 'broom-less Quidditch in the halls and bludgers do not go well with family portraits and, well, walls or furniture in general)... And so on.
The Blackwood siblings have always been mischievous and up to all kinds of experiments, though, and when Eve is on the verge of tears over something, Björn usually steps in and calms the waters. Various endeavors have been tolerated through the years, including library-climbing, attic-camping, pet-mice farm in the shed, etc. Kris and Dominic have usually been the source of gray hairs on such occasions... James being more reserved and Dan older.
So in short: If you are a friend of Kris or Dom, well or anyone else in the family, you are welcomed with open arms, basically planted right in the middle of the home as family and treated with warmth, love, humor and discipline, just like the siblings.
Dad (Björn) is very calm and composed, likes things in order and neatly looks into mistakes to see where he can adjust and do better.
Mum (Eva Lydia) is the bubbly one, always on the move and has temper but is totally sweet. Keeps things up and running.
Grandpa Blackwood is an easy going old man with a sense of humor and finds it endlessly funny to push people's buttons when least expected.
Grandma Bridget is a sharp one, you don't wanna start a debate with her, but she has a huge sense of humor and likes bantering with the kids and to rile her daughter up over stuff just for kicks. Get her angry and she'll put her foot down though.

Brother: Dominik Blackwood - 3rd year Gryffindor. Born November 12th 1993. Protective, kind, smart, loyal, stubborn, strong. The third year Gryffindor is without doubt the brother Kris is closest to, the two of them having gotten into endless trouble as kids and shared countless secrets and adventures. He is, however, very protective of her despite only being two years older.
Brother: James Blackwood - 4th year Ravenclaw. Born August 19th 1992. James is the quiet one of the bunch, never really got along that great with the other siblings. He's more introverted and the only time he's loud he is LOUD. He plays the drums and does so in a punk/indie band with a few mates. Always had a tendency of rivalry with Dominik. Despises Quidditch and is afraid of heights.
Brother: Dan Blackwood - Chaser for the Appleby Arrows. Born May 4th 1987. Dan is a complete player in both the Quidditch- and womanizing sense of the word. Being a handsome and flirty guy, vibrant with confidence and love for fun, he was known around school as that guy every girl had to get her hands on at some point but never linger. Not exactly boyfriend material, and he made that quite clear. He excelled at Quidditch, playing the position of chaser through all his years at Hogwarts and then when he graduated he was immediately offered a spot on the Appleby Arrows. He is very protective of Kristina, especially when it comes to boys. Friends with Alexander Oberg and Arcturus Silver.
Grandfather: Grandfather Blackwood. The 70 year old Daniel Blackwood is without doubt one of the memorable names in the dragon training and research field. His career covered the training of most species at some point but his favorite one and chosen specialty was/is the Norwegian Ridgeback. He has written numerous articles on the subject but his work with the great beasts has brought inspiring trainers to his doorstep for mentoring, one of them being Hogwarts' own Varius Tseric.

Ignacio "Iggy" Aquilar (aiden): Dating. Sorta my best boy friend since forever, and now a boyfriend. Been friends since 1st day 1st year in London. Sat together and just... Sometimes it's just simple like that. You know? I was kinda curious about muggle stuff before but he really got me excited about it. You won't believe what some of this stuff is for, I'm telling you! Anyway, he's... Well I... It's... Ah whatever. He's great, we're great, there's a lot of fun and sex -cough- snogs involved and how can that go wrong?
Mina Cherie Crosswell (curvykitten): BFF's. You're my GIRL! <3 Been friends since 2nd year in London and just clicked. I lovers you! Totally fun to hang out with and the perfect partner in mischief, and I could go on like this, but yea. Basically been friends for a long time and shared a lot of wins and losses. She's the sort of friend who knows what I want before I want it but doesn't give me any crap about it. She's been all tangled up over a boy and that is just all wrong. A gorgeous and awesome girl like her should be able to just... Be with the guy she likes. You know?

Oliver "Ollie" Mathias Olivier III (kokaine): Friends! Dude I think you're awesome <3 Been friends since 1st year in London. Clicked over Dragons, Quidditch and all things Muggle. He's such a great guy. Much smarter than he thinks, just like Iggy, and so good and fun. I think it's endlessly cute how he goes all speechless around pretty girls but I think he's getting better at talking to them. I'm certain there are at least three girls crushing on him so he better be stepping up his game. hehe
Update: I totally saw him and Vivi all cute and stuff, so woot go Ollie!!
Tomas "Tommy" Undergallows (swashbuckler): Friends! You're awesome. And totally cute. Even more so when you blush and stuff when I flirt with you We met through Ollie, and been friends for ages. Totally awesome partner in mischief too!
