What about him is suited to this House: In fact, Deimos is amongst the few McDibbles who the Sorting hat actually considered putting in Gryffindor. Still, the family’s education about the results always justifying the means, had made of him someone ultimately unsuited to that House. Also, he wasn’t to be a Slytherin because he actually renounced to his ambitions to become House Leader in favor of his cousin Andrew. So the Sorting hat eventually let itself be influenced by Deimos’ sharp mind and intellect.
How did he react at sorting? He was intrigued at first because he was almost sure he would have ended in Slytherin. Still, he does not put much importance in which house he belongs to, since his faith goes only to those he deems as friends (extremely few) and to his family. A House whose colors he would dress for the brief period of his studies was ultimately inconsequential for him.
Are his parents former house mates of this house? His father was a Slytherin while his mother has actually been a Ravenclaw herself.

Physical Description:
Deimos is gifted with an agile and well-toned body and he takes his time to keep himself always in shape although he isn’t “professional sportsman” level muscular. Amongst the McDibbles, he is the one who tends to dress more casually if he has the chance, although he finds himself perfectly at ease wearing his family’s or his house’s cloaks. He very rarely smiles and even less rarely talks. He shares with his cousin Andrew Christopher Doyle the seriousness of his countenance. Where Andrew looks like a shadowy person, though, Deimos is pure ice… or at least so he looks, especially thanks to his cold blue eyes and his light skin coloring. Still, there is light shining under the ice, belying that somewhere deep down inside him, there are bright flames to be found.
A little Deeper:
Deimos is the oldest McDibble actually enlisted at Hogwarts and is the cousin of Andrew Christopher Doyle. Born and grown up in an intransigent (and slightly dysfunctional) Pureblood family, at first he was antagonistic to Andrew, since he wanted to become the new McDibble family leader. How Andrew made him eventually change his mind is a long story known only to a few… fact is that now Deimos supports his cousin’s claim to family leadership.
Deimos has actually been an important active support for Andrew when their uncle Polifemus went “bad” after his wife’s death. Andrew himself has been of help of him although Deimos is not prepared to admit this in public. While they are deeply bonded, they still think the McDibble way, so Deimos never babysits Andrew, leaving him to face issues on his own unless there is real danger.
Deimos, has grown up in a pureblood wizard atmosphere. His father, Dedalus, was a field researcher on magical creatures before starting to work for the Ministry of Magic and so Deimos is much more accustomed to the outdoors than his cousin, and also he is a good hunter/tracker and well trained at dealing with dangers.
