Any Shadowrun games?
« on: April 15, 2007, 12:57:50 PM »
Is anyone running a Shadowrun (any edition) game with room for another player? I'm in the mood for cyberpunk. :)

Failing that, other sci-fi settings would be nice.

Love, War, and Giant Robots - http://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?board=344.0 - could probably use another couple players . . .  :)

I'd also love to play Shadowrun. ZK was going to run a game, but it seems dead in the water at the moment.

SR4 is far superior, in my oppinion. All they need to do is release the rules for ghouls already. :)

I'd also love to play.  SR 4 or 3, prefferably 3.

Whichever, as long as I don't have to dig for stats myself too often?

I don't have the books, and after a little creation fuss, I really don't enjoy looking stuff up constantly.  I kinda like the milieu, though (waiting for any particular twists)...

Yeah, my SR4 game is dead in the water, possibly permanently dead by the looks of things.

Just, blah on the general basis of the entire game and my limited time. :( It isn't going anywhere I wanted it to.

I've tried to start something with quite limited success, mostly due to my own self... the ebb and flow of my creativity be fickle and I tend to disapear often... I've still got a full campaign arc in mind, one I believe I mentioned and even recruited for here.... but those creative tides conspired against me...

Not to hijack this thread, But I'd still like to do an Exalted 2nd Edition or a Scion or Zir'An game. ^.^

I'd love to join a Shadowrun or normal Cyberpunk games. The Shadowrun game I'd need to talk to the GM about either A: making a new race that follows the Elf stats or see what cybernetics I'd have to loot to get what i want.

I've giving some serious consideration to a 3rd edition game, either Mafia or Mercenary based.

If you hadn't noticed already.

I adore SR - although at times I think that my vision of shadowrun really runs against alot of the common thread.  I'm actually more into the very classic SR - not the real high-powered stuff.. but people trying to make their way on the streets.  Plus I do loved the whole rules-lite version.. I've had a couple fun 1 on1 games based in SR.

Unfortunately I've not seen much luck here with the larger group games.. although with the release of SR for the 360.. been itching so much to play .. or run the campaign.. again..

Shadowrun for the 360 makes Baby Jesus kill people... seriously, the game was a travesty...

Bah.. the game was okay.  It's like nearly anything big corporations do.. they hire people who have no idea what it's about.  They REALLY should have made a first person RPG type game.. that would have blown people away.

BUT..the game is good for what it is.. a FPS that's has a flavour of shadowrun to it.  More guns..more cyberware.. that would have been so much better.. but I don't knock it..

Eventually I am going to go upstairs and pilher it from my friend.

And as much as I want to play Shadowrun, the Merc and Mafia game doesn't grab at me.

In all honesty, my ideas don't grab everyone.  Some people prefer the "stab in the back by the J" kinda game.  Doesn't suit my taste.

I don't weant stabbed in the back by J games. I want a more.. standard issue game. Where you're a runner, you do jobs, maybe some bigger plot happens or you get hired to help something happen.

But usually Mob games end up a select way I never like.. usually with my domicile on fire...
