Viewing PMs

Prior to do, when I went to my Inbox or Sentbox of Personal messages, I could say a whole 'page' (20 or so) at once. Now it only shows the body of one at a time (still shows the list of 20 or so titles, but only the body of one.) Did I mistakenly change some preference? Is there a way to change this back?

It sounds like you may have changed your private message settings from "As a conversation" or "All at once" to "One at a time". If that's the case you can fix it by clicking the "Profile" tab up top and then navigate to the "Personal Messaging" page of your profile settings.

EDIT: I think you can also get to the same settings page by clicking the "Change Settings" button from your PM Box.

Answer, but in more detail.

How do I change how my personal messages are displayed?

Go to the your profile settings, then find Personal Messaging underneath the Modify Profile menu. You will see the following screen:



All at once is the default setting. Choosing this option on your private message link will show all new messages, which will then no longer show as new once you check your private messages.

One at a time is relatively self-explanatory.  Each new message will show individually and will stay marked as unread until you have clicked on it and read the message individually.

As a conversation shows all messages as a "thread" - that is, the initial message and all direct replies to it will be shown together. Please note that if you have this option open and try to delete one of the messages, the entire thread of messages may be deleted as well, due to a glitch in the forum system.
