Harvest Moon
« on: September 07, 2010, 06:03:17 PM »
This game will be 7 'days' long. Each season will last for 3.5 days. Spring, and Summer will be our seasons for this game.

Items
-Once per day, each person may PM the GM and ask to 'forage', 'fish' or 'mine' depending on what is in season. In Spring there will be foraging, in Summer there will be fishing, in Fall there will be foraging, and in winter there will be Mining.
-Foraging, fishing, or mining will give you one item per day that you do so. There are 3 items that can be collected each season. -There is no limit to how many items you may have.
Spring - Rose, Tulip, Feather
Summer - Trout, Bass, Pike
Fall - Black Truffle, Apple, Honey
Winter - Diamond, Gold, Metal Ore

Crops/Animals and Harvest of Crops/Products
-You will only tend your animals or crops for one season.
-During the other season you will busy yourself with other activities.
-During winter no one will grow crops. Mining will be the main activity.

Gifts
-These items can be given to other players (must be of opposite sex) as gifts. If the gift is accepted, the person receiving the gift may not vote for the person giving the gift.
-At the beginning of the game, each player will send the GM a list of 8 'liked' (accepted) items and 4 'disliked' (not-accepted) items.
-A list of each players 'favorite' item (1) will be posted at the beginning of the game. The other 11 items will be kept secret by the GM. You will learn what items other players like/dislike by giving them gifts.
-If another player accepts 5 or more gifts from you, you may propose marriage to them.

Voting
-Once per day, on alternating days, the gentleman will vote for one lady to leave, and the ladies will vote for one gentleman to leave.
-If you have received and accepted a gift from another player, you may not vote for them in the next relevant vote.

Festivals
-Festivals will be held on the last day of each season.
-Each farmer(player) will mingle in the towne square, paying homage to the Harvest Goddess by bringing any harvest that they have left-over.
Spring - Goddess Festival
Summer - Cooking Festival
Fall - Harvest Festival
Winter - Snow Festival

Special Roles
In the style of Mafia, certain players will have special roles with specific abilities. This is in the workings as of yet.

General Play
-On a general day players will tend to their farms (pond/fish(feeding), chickens/eggs(feeding/collecting), crops(watering), cows/sheep(feeding)) if they need to.
-Farmers may visit other farms to mingle or make purchases.
-Each farm will have one specific output (ex. eggs, milk, cheese, pineapples, tomatoes, etc.)
-Each player will have their own farm. If two players should choose to get married then they will share one farm with one product.

Time Limits
-Each activity that you 'do' in one 'day' will cost you time. You have 12 hours per 'day' for activities.
Watering Crops - 3 hours
Harvesting Crops - 6 hours
Feeding/Tending Animals - 3 hours
Harvesting Animal Products - 6 hours
