If I'm no longer following a particular topic, is there any way to make it so that when I use the "Show new replies to your posts" link, it's no longer shown?

Since you're new, it should be fairly easy for you to go to your profile, look at your posts, find the ones from that topic, and delete them; the site admins frown on massive deletion of posts, but if you only have a few in a topic, it's an easy way to get it off that list.

And yeah, Zorak.  If I had to put one thing above all others on a priority list of suggestions... This would be it.

I'm going to work with the smf devs on it, amongst other things such as topic ratings, ignore topics and properly integrated bookmarks. A good portion of the schema needs to be redone - it's several years old, and designed with an entirely different set of technological realities in mind.
