Girl's Night Unbound (DND 5e) Recruiting Thread

Let me start by saying thanks to everyone that voted in my poll to determine which campaign I would run first. Obviously, Girl's Night won out but I'll be running the Ravenloft style campaign I once this campaign ends. With that out of the way, let's get to the rules for character creation.


Waterdeep gleams by day—but by night, the city’s heart beats faster.
Temptation stirs in the alleys of the Dock Ward, laughter echoes from behind velvet-draped doors, and pleasure is becoming power.

You and your companions were only looking for a night out: music, wine, maybe a little mischief. Instead, you stepped into a web of seduction, secrets, and subtle spells where every choice teases the edge between ecstasy and ruin.

"Waterdeep is changing."

The whispered words come on silk and perfume. On lips painted crimson. In the sighs behind bathhouse veils, the invitations laced with charms, the masked galas where dreams blur with memory. In the hands of the right muse, even a city can be taught to moan.

Obviously since it's called Girl's Night Unbound, I'm looking for female characters for this one (futa is also acceptable). Official source material only, some things may be excluded on a case by case basis. You are allowed to use the option in Tasha's Cauldron which allows you to pick where the racial stat bonuses apply.

Characters start at 3rd level. Stats will be standard array or roll 4d6 and drop the lowest using the dice roller here on E. Here is the link to the dice roller.

Send me the rolls if you don't do standard array, my id is 113304 on the dice roller. You can reroll a single stat once. You must keep the new result.

Characters start off with 900gp and one uncommon magic item (subject to GM approval). Items may be sold back for money at half cost.

Yes,  please send me the rolls.

Themes and kinks are kind of dependent on the player composition I end up with, if everyone likes non-con then that will obviously occur more often and some events will be adjusted to reflect that. If instead they all prefer BDSM then Waterdeep suddenly gets a few more leather workshops, and so on.

In terms of the main story, the kinks and themes are easily adjusted too without effecting the overall story.

Oh, I love the trope of the quiet nerdy girl being lured out of her comfort zone by her friends. Sounds like a great character idea.

No one could doubt by looking at my regal bearing that I am a cut above the unwashed masses.
Despite my noble birth, I do not place myself above other folk.  We all have the same blood.
Ideals: Independence. I must prove that I can handle myself without the coddling of my family. (Chaotic)
Bonds: The common folk must see me as a hero of the people.
Flaws: By my words and actions, I often bring shame to my family.
Backstory: The Starfire Winery is only two tendays from Waterdeep if one is talented at moving through the wilderness, three if using the roads.  Alexara is the fifth child and manages her love of the city by being given various errands and duties to manage things in Waterdeep.
Connections:  (Shared with NPC or other characters) I imagine an older sibling who’s the usual archetype for stuck up.  Said sibling and Alexara don’t get along at all and likely exasperate each other.  If you have other ideas for the story, though, I’m happy to adapt and improvise.
Ons and offsMy ons and offs are out of date.  I’ve had little libido since the chemo and am hoping I can play in this anyway.  Maybe something in the game will spark it back.

The freedom to live out the life she wants without being bound to or shaming her family.  She doesn’t want to give up her family name, just for them to accept her how she is.

I'm considering a busty shortstack for my nerdy gal.  Anyone got an opinion on whether she's a dwarf, gnome, or halfling?  I'll probably randomize if not.  

I figure one of her issues will also be a feeling that the women of her race aren't considered "hot" like elves and humans are.

Backstory: Born a very human passing Tiefling Deri was able to blend in with the 'normal' populace and face little if any persecution that other tieflings often did. This all persisted until she reached twenty years old and a dark power began manifesting around her whenever she fought or faced adversity. This black and purple energy was undeniably demonic in nature and put up a very large red flag to anyone around Deri who took her lack of explanation as a betrayal. Now being on indefinite dismissal from the local military she's depressed, confused, and curious about what this all means and what this power entails.

@kingmaster1 I would ask that you limit it to one magic item at the start so that everyone starts on a roughly level playing field. I'll make sure there are chances to acquire more magical items once the game starts.

I believe that you can send each set of four to me individually, don't think the roller can do more then one set at a time. Don't worry about bombarding me.

@Servile Sliver if it would make a difference, I know at least a few interested people that prefer the rougher stuff and if the party happens to be made of people that prefer that kind of theme then the game would be adjusted to reflect that. 

At least I assume that is what you meant by the dark fantasy one, Ravenloft was definitely gonna be edgier then the girls night out.

Flaws: I am easily distracted by the promise of new information, a giant could sneak up on me when I'm reading, Did I saw I was socially awkward already?
Backstory: Gwyniss Ironpounder was expected to be a smith and a warrior like most of her family, but she had a fascinating with book learning and magic that her immediate relatives just didn't appreciate.  The dwarves of Mithril Hall had long had connections to the Harpells of Longsaddle and used them to find their strange daughter a place to study the magic that so enthralled her, not quite washing their hands of Gwyn but kind of doing so at the same time.  Gwyn has been staying and studying at the Blackstaff Academy but has largely stayed in her shell until now, before being coaxed out for a girl's night out to let loose.
Connections:  (OPEN TO CONNECTIONS TO OTHER CHARACTERS) Desna Harpell (female human) is a fellow student who went missing recently, Lirdril Myar (female elf - drow) is a surface/Seldarine drow who is also a student at Blackstaff Academy who has taken to teasing and bullying Gwyn.

Desire: Gwyn has lived a rather repressed life and has a number of passions and desires bubbling away under her shy and awkward surface.  Her love of learning and magic is the obvious one but she also has darker, more passionate desires.  She longs to be seen as sexy and attractive.  She wants to be desired, even to the point of others forcing themselves on her in her fantasies.  She also has imagined being "taken" by futas and males of races that are traditionally enemies of her people; elves, drow, and orcs specifically.  She is scared by how much she desires being used by a group and gangbanged.  Even of being made into a sexual servant/slave.  But that's just a fantasy.  That's all.   
Hooks for GM to use:  Gwyn is a student at Blackstaff Academy and lives there as well.  She is well known among libraries in the City of Splendors and has tried to gain entry to the private collections of several noble families for her studies.  She does a lot of reading and research at "Drake of Cakes," a bakery and cafe run by a family of gnomes.  She has assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that she will not be welcome back in Mithril Hall and must make a home for herself in Waterdeep, thus she has also looked into how to become a citizen and trying to already find somewhere to live after her apprenticeship/study at Blackstaff Academy is over.  She likes to go to recitals and performances of the bards from the New Olann College but will just sit in a corner and listen, staying unobserved (or so she thinks).

@Servile Sliver if it would make a difference, I know at least a few interested people that prefer the rougher stuff and if the party happens to be made of people that prefer that kind of theme then the game would be adjusted to reflect that.

At least I assume that is what you meant by the dark fantasy one, Ravenloft was definitely gonna be edgier then the girls night out.

Personality Traits: Fierce, loyal, wild, caring, untamed, Strong willed, fearless, cheerful, with flashes of something more reflecting in her features from time to time. But Frey doesn't talk about her feelings very well. [/font][/size][/color]
Ideals: Fight for what you believe in, stand for those that can't, and live for today.
Bonds:  Friendship binds her together, and Frey swears to protect those that she ends up caring about.
Flaws:  Drinker, bad at reading people, not that bright, deeply believes in a simpler way about right or wrong.

Backstory: Frey 's childhood was like any of the other children of her tribe. The men of her tribe were all raised to be warriors. The women allowed to defend the home but were never allowed in the truly large attacks. Protective they called it. Frey would Describe it as more restricting than anything else. As one would imagine with such a strong-headed girl, Frey challenged her status in the tribe.

This was something her father allowed, for a while. But he always said she could never match up to her brother. But Frey simply took as a challenge. Training harder each day, ignoring the laughs, and comments of her never finding a mate. Whatever, Frey didn't want someone who thought less of her anyway.

The day came when it was time for her brother to stand for the challenge. If he won or went unchallenged, he would be next to lead the tribe. As it was part of a right of coming of age for the next in line. This was how they chose their leaders. He took position in the center of the circle her people created. At first nothing happens, no one dares step forward. Till Frey boldly walked into the circle. At first, people yelled in outrage, but her father calmed them. And asked if Dano would take the challenge. He was prideful and too the challenge, seeing as it was nothing. Frey was after all just his little sister.

The fight started, and for a moment Danos seemed to be getting the upper hand. But Frey was simply waiting for her opening. And when it showed itself, Frey Raged and charged. Striking hard, the sick sound of ribs creaking could be heard. Knocking her brother back, he grabbed his chest, while gasping for air. It was then Grey grinned and took charge of the match. Suddenly as Danos started to waver, Frey felt something strike her from behind. One swift strike from her father and knocked her out completely. He was shamed by his son, but even more so by Frey's actions.

Frey woke later that night, and Nonana an old healer explained what happened. It was all Frey could do to keep herself under control. Thankfully Nonana had a calming way about her. That night Frey ran from her home, her family, and her tribe. Knowing it would mean she would be forever exiled. Fuck'em was she thought as her steps carried her hurriedly away.

Frey is an outcast from her tribe. She has also fallen in with less than honest people from time to time. So, she's been wrapped into some trouble in the past. Traveled far from her tribes' lands, but if they ever saw her. It is death on sight for the shame she brought to her father. Though not all of the tribe believes as he does. But they are too scared to combat his hold on the tribe right now. Frey has a Wolf Companion.
