Seeking Vampires and Magical Nonsense (MxM or FxF)

Hey all! Welcome to my humble search thread :) My name is Max, I'm in my mid-thirties, and I've been making up stories pretty much my whole life and roleplaying on and off for around 20 years. I hope you enjoy reading all the information I've provided, and I hope it makes you want to write with me!

Here is my search thread for FxM stories :)

Here's a thread outlining a specific kink I'd like to try out!

A few important details, bullet-pointed for your convenience:

• This thread is for my MxM or FxF plots, with slight preference for MxM.
• Communication is key. If something isn't working for you or you'd like to change things up, let me know!
• Please use quotation marks to indicate dialogue. If you need to use colored or bold text that's fine, as long as there are quotation marks and the colors are easy to see.
• I don't like using face claims or picture references, especially of real people. Sharing inspiration pictures for themes or settings can be fun and help flesh things out but I won't use them for my characters. You're welcome to send me yours if you like, though!
• I don't have a hard preference irt communication method; we can use Discord, the forums, pm's, carrier pigeon, whatever works best for you!
• I'm open to short or long term stories, or even one-and-done oneshot scenes; whatever works for the plot.
• All characters involved in any romantic or sexual situations will be 25 and over. This is non-negotiable.

• Fantasy - medieval, modern, future, high, low, dark, it's all great!
• Sci-Fi - cyberpunk, dystopian, post-apocalyptic, space opera, I love it!
• Historical fiction - Victorian, wild west, sea faring age, hurray!
• Horror - space, gothic, fantasy, hit me with it!

I have to give a hard pass to standard modern and slice-of-life stories, but I'm open to pretty much anything else :) Also please have a sense of humor. I love silliness, snark, sarcasm, etc; anything too dark and depressing is going to lose my interest fast. Bleakness and drama have their place for sure but I find it hits more effectively when the story isn't drowning in it.

Plot to Smut Ratio!

Generally speaking, I prefer to write stories that with strong plots and characters that happen to include smut. However, I find the ratio will often vary depending on the story in question, and you'll find down below that I have a number of smut-oriented story ideas listed. As long as there's context around the smut, I'm fine :)

That said! I'm not interested in writing stories that focus heavily on a specific fetish or kink. I'm more than happy to include fetishes and kinks (assuming they're not on my Off's list) but I prefer to restrict it to sex scenes.

Writing Style!

Third person past tense POV! I love it, I live by it. If you want to write present tense and don't mind me using past, that's fine! I do require third person, though.

I'm looking for someone to write with me. Don't write out entire scenes without me, and don't expect me/my character to do all the plot-pushing. This is a collaborative effort.

Details details details! Give me details, content, something to reply to. Proper spelling and grammar are important but mistakes are forgivable if your writing is fun to read. Basically, I'm not going to get bored if your sentence structure is whack, but I will if your posts are boring or don't give me anything to reply to.

I generally prefer shorter posts. Obviously post length with fluctuate depending on the pacing of the scene, but generally I tend to stick to around 3 - 5 paragraphs that keep the story moving. Pages of purple prose don't really do much for me. That said, I will try to match my partner for post length :)

Post Rate/Availability!

I'm on the site pretty much every day, and do my best to post once a day. Sometimes it's more, often it's less. I typically won't take more than a week to respond. I would prefer that my partner maintain this rate as well, but I absolutely don't require it! Obviously real life comes first; I just ask that you let me know if you're not going to be able to post for a while. But I'm a patient person, and ghost friendly :) Sometimes life just happens.

Characters!

There isn't really a specific character type I like to write; I'm a whore for variety. I can write dominating tops, submissive bottoms, submissive tops and dominating bottoms, and anything else in between! I tend to let the roles work themselves out as the story/character relationship develops, but do let me know if you have any preferences here.

I'm a romantic deep in my heart so I would love to include romance in the story, but it's by no means a necessity, nor does it have to be the end goal.

What I do require is that the characters are well-written and thought out to some degree. Even if we're making it up as we go, I want to know that there's backstory, personality, motivation, all that good stuff. My character doesn't have to know why yours is doing what they're doing, but I want to know that yours does.

I also love lots of background and side characters :)

Character A is a scholar and respected professor at a fantasy university. He frequently ventures off on expeditions to find long-lost magical artifacts, books of forgotten knowledge, ancient legends, and all that sort of thing. He hires Character B, an adventuring sailor and ship captain, to ferry him to far-flung locations of mystery and mayhem. Adventure awaits!

I picture this taking place in world similar to DnD, full of magic and fantasy races, powerful wizards and brave heroes and whatnot. Lots of world-building to be done! This one is very open to funny, sexy shenanigans, and can be as kinky or as wholesome as we'd like.

This Wasn't Covered in Training

[modern fantasy]

Character A is a daycare or preschool teacher leading a fairly normal, boring life. Until one of his students turns out to have... magic powers??

Character B is a single parent, and a wizard in a world where magic is hidden and kept secret. He was starting to think his child was born without a shred of magical talent, until his teacher, A, informs him about a peculiar incident in the classroom. And A is... surprisingly cool with it?

I don't have much for this one beyond the starter, but I think it could be a very cute, wholesome story!

A Mutually Beneficial Arrangement
[medieval high fantasy]
[enemies to lovers, slow burn]

A lone adventurer gets lost in the savage wilderness, or perhaps deep underground, or in ancient ruins. The adventurer was badly injured by monsters or bandits and isn't expecting to survive. However, they come across a demon that's been trapped for ages, perhaps bound to some sort of relic and abandoned. The demon can save the adventurer's life, in exchange for delivery to somewhere less isolated.

Perhaps the two, lacking proper knowledge in binding magic, accidentally bind themselves together in a way they can't undo on their own. Loads of world-building awaits!

Succumb to the Darkness...
[Victorian gothic horror]
[human x supernatural being]

Not quite a fully-fledged out plot yet, but I've been really into Nosferatu/Dracula and Phantom of the Opera lately, and I'd really like to do something in that vein! Something gothic and a little scary but mostly sexy and seductive ~ Dealing with themes of obsession and the darker sides of romance. A starting point I have in mind is essentially Phantom of the Opera, where MC is a student or an artist and YC is some sort of supernatural creature lurking in their underground lair and lying in wait. Whether they're a vampire or some other kind of being is up to you! I'd just prefer a mostly humanoid appearance.

Sacrifice to a God
[fantasy, sci-fi]

All gods require proper tribute, and Gods of Sex are certainly no exception.

Character A is chosen as an offering, a tribute, a gift given to show the city's love and loyalty. They aren't the first and they won't be the last. It's a little scary, being offered up to be sexually devoured by a divine being, but... hey, someone's got to do it.

How the offering is received can go many different ways, naturally. Is Character A a willing offering, a volunteer ready to shower their god with love and affection? Or are they more shy and timid, scared of what they've been chosen to do and in need of some coaxing? Perhaps the god is a being of flesh and blood who is happy to be delivered a consistent stream of worshipers to fuck. Perhaps the god is more of an abstract concept and it falls to their priests to accept the offerings in their name. Perhaps it isn't a "god" at all but some other sort of being (a spirit? a demon? an alien? some sort of eldritch monster?*) happy to take advantage of the foolish humans lining up to prostrate themselves. The sky's the limit!

*Generally I'd prefer if the god had a mostly humanoid appearance, but I'm fine with alien or animalistic traits.

More Elaborate Plot Ideas:

A couple of more thought-out ideas I've had, which I think lend themselves more toward long-term stories.

Summoning Magic
[Victorian gothic horror, Lovecraftian, modern fantasy, tentacles?]

Character A is a detective infiltrating a secret cult, trying to find out what they're doing and hopefully how to put a stop to it without getting caught and killed. Character B is a lifelong member of the cult who dutifully worships the eldritch monstrosity they call a god. The leaders of the cult task A with figuring out some sort of magic ritual, and provide B as a research partner. The intent behind the ritual is unknown, but it calls for loads of sex magic (possibly bondage).

Can A figure out the cult's intentions and get out alive? Perhaps they'll develop feelings for B and help them see the light? Or will B's influence end up corrupting A and dragging them down into depravity?

Darker themes to explore here!

The Champion's Prize** currently taken
[medieval fantasy, sci-fi, willing slave x reluctant master]

Character A has been forced to fight for his life in a horrific combat arena, and by the skin of his teeth has managed to claim victory and secure the prize riches and, more importantly, his freedom. But along with the riches and title of Champion come a reward he hadn't expected and doesn't want; a slave.

Character B was never meant for the combat arena, but forced into slavery to fuck and tend to the combatants. When he's offered to A as a prize, he sees it as his best chance at escaping this hell and maybe finding his way back home. Better to be stuck with one reluctant master than an ever-rotating gang of horny barbarians, right?

Bride of the Vampire Lord **

[courtly intrigue, reluctant master x enthusiastic slave, slow burn romance, possible dom x sub elements]

(Note: the titles "lord" and "bride" are more indicators of political status than anything, and do not expressly describe character gender or the roles of the relationship.)

In a world where aristocratic vampires rule the land, vampire lords reign over all. With strength and power greater than any other vampire comes a greater thirst for the blood of the living, as well as other caveats; once a vampire lord nears the 400th year of their life, their power and longevity will begin to drive them into violent madness. It's an undignified end, but luckily there's a way to avoid it; by taking a mortal bride, who is joined to the vampire lord in a ritual that will extend the bride's life and give their blood a particularly restorative quality to ensure the lord may maintain his power and sanity for many centuries to come.

In order to protect their people from the undead masters of the lands, towns and cities will often offer up a selection of bridal candidates as appeasement.

YC is a vampire lord nearing his 400th year and already feeling himself losing his grip. It's time to choose a bride, but he's not particularly thrilled about the prospect of binding himself to one person for the rest of time; mortals are often frightened of the whole process, even the ones who volunteer, and who wants to deal with centuries of whimpering and escape attempts?

MC is one of several bridal candidates for YC to choose from, specifically chosen for their calm and obedient nature. He's got one thing that sets him apart from the others, however; enthusiasm. He wants to be chosen, though it's a mystery as to why. Who would want to spend the rest of their life tied to a murderous monster?

In the meantime, tensions in the vampire court run high, with new feuds forming by the day and alliances changing by the hour. YC's position of power is highly coveted, and there may even be whispers of revolution among the mortal cities.

What is a God?
[medieval fantasy]

A quiet little mountain village has been caught up in the war between two kingdoms. The villagers are desperate for protection from the conflict, and who better to turn to than the forest god they've been worshiping for as long as living memory? Neighbors turn on each other in dark times, and Character A, the most beautiful of the villagers is chosen to act as a live sacrifice to the god. Their family tries to defend them, perhaps reason with their neighbors, and are slain for their efforts. A is bound and left as an offering to the god.

What the villagers don't know, however, is that Character B, the being that lurks in the mountain forest has been quietly in love with A from afar for years. B is enraged by the way A is treated, and exacts revenge against the villagers for A's favor.

B is no god, but they will deliver the wrath of one.

What exactly B is is up for discussion. Could be some sort of powerful nature being, or a demon, or some kind of humanoid monster or dragon or something. I'm thinking soldiers from either side of the war will witness B destroying the village or come across the carnage and will try to hunt down A and B? Also up for discussion, haha.
