Fallen Angel:  A Handmaid's Tale Story

Disclaimer:  It should be mentioned first and foremost (and obviously) this idea is set in the universe created by The Handmaid’s Tale, namely the television show.  This is intended to feature original characters in the show, and be set in the universe.  You do not have to be caught up with the show, but if you are interested, you should, at least, be familiar with the setting and political climate in Gilead.  There are numerous resources that can be found on Google to help with the nitty gritty, but I’m not one of those nerds that demands absolute perfection in terms of getting things right.

This is mainly inspired by the latest season, namely Episode 9.

There aren’t many women who volunteer for such a dangerous mission.

The stakes, the consequences, are all too real and familiar to each and every one who serve in the remnants of the United States military.  The talk…  The rumors…  The whispers…  They’re unavoidable, inescapable in the frozen north of Canada.  They know what they do to women in Gilead.  They know what lays waiting for them in a country that is not their own anymore.

But she does it.  Despite it all…  Despite knowing what horrors wait for those captured in the land of devils and monsters, she does whatever she can for those captive, those lost souls that suffer each and every day.

She’s a pilot and a damn good one.  It has not always been easy getting to where she is, fighting through the latent sexism and challenges that come to a woman in such an environment.  Yet the tough exterior and determination hardened her against such criticisms and hazing, forging her into an ace fighter pilot, a queen among kings.

When it came time for the mission, she did not hesitate to volunteer.  A chance to strike at the heart of the war machine?  A chance to help those in need? 

Yet no one counted on the trap that was set.  The routine mission that was doomed to fail, to play upon the world stage of yet another example of American Imperialist Aggression against a peaceful nation.  They were all dead, every single one of the flight task force, shot down and away into oblivion.  All of them. 

Except her…



I’m seeking a story involving the capture and attempted breakdown and brainwashing of our heroine fighter pilot.  A long term story that is not intended to be entirely light and easy, but difficult and a challenge, full of character development and transformation.

Whom you play is up to you.  Maybe a Commander who takes her on as a pet project?  A hardliner who seeks to create a teachable moment, a crucial piece of propaganda to further humiliate and demoralize their foes…  Or perhaps an Angel, known colloquially among the ranks as The Bitch Breaker, who questions his choices, his decisions, his way of life as he considers a way out of the world he has helped to create.

The possibilities are endless.

Kinkwise, I’m fairly open to just about anything.  I’m even open to including the mouth piercings featured in season 3.  I ask, however, if there are niche or certain kinks to not have the entirety of the story revolve around those kinks.  I’d like to focus on the characters, the character development, and the different, divergent paths they take.

In terms of posting, I ask for patience.  I work a demanding full time job, and I don’t always feel like writing after a long and draining day.  Hell, there are times when I don’t exactly feel like doing that on my days off.  But I’m trying to change that and be better about writing.  And when it comes to length, I really don’t care as long as the quality is there.  I’d rather have a few sentences that really move and inspire me, than a wall of fluff that is just a challenge to get through.
