I am curious on somthing. Can we have more than one character?

You can have up to two, if you think you can handle it!

Men in general judge more by the sense of sight than by that of touch, because everyone can see but few can test by feeling. Everyone sees what you seem to be, few know what you really are; and those few do not dare take a stand against the general opinion. Therefore it is unnecessary to have all the qualities I have enumerated, but it is very necessary to appear to have them. And I shall dare to say this also, that to have them and always observe them is injurious, and that to appear to have them is useful; to appear merciful, faithful, humane, religious, upright, and be so, but with a mind so framed that should you require not to be so, you may be able and know how to change to the opposite.

Cool, So in this world would it be possible to emulate powers similar to  Psychometabolism and Psychoportation like in dnd 3.5?

Psychometabolism is through the power of the mind being able to alter your body and others. Some examples are  thicken their own skin  to provide an armor . Draining power points which is the source of energy Psions use to power their abilities basically the source of their abilities. Being able to revive the dead. Being able to change shape into people or objects. Restore limbs, digits or other appendages. being able to make duplicates of one self.  Fusion combining  your abilities and form with another.

Psychoportation is through the power of the mind  to increase ones speed, swapping positions with allies, psionic levitation, being able to psionically dismiss creatures to its native plan, Detect Teleportation psionically bar extradimensional travel, being able to induce flight  psionically, Some manipulation of time for groups of people, being able to become Ethereal  Teleport, Teleport trigger sets up a teleport to happen when triggered   by a predetermined event, Dream Travel, Teleportation Circle and Time regression(This would let a  psion  relieve the last round a round is  10 seconds).

Lumiere
Name: Sylric Kishos
Age: 52
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Race: Elf

Appearance: Like a lot of elves, Sylric is on the taller side, with a lithe build that does not lend itself towards hard labor. He has blond hair, blue eyes, pointed ears,  though one could consider him playing a bit too much into the stereotype of what an elf would look like. He tends to carry himself tall and unobtrusive, and the robes he tends to wear hides the minor scars that serve as legacies of fights and magical experiments.

Personality: Sylric has multiple facets to him. There is his status as a mage and a fighter. He takes satisfaction in what he does and his skill, and does not look kindly upon those who cast aspersions upon his abilities. He may not be the easiest team player to work with, but he will give his full effort to tasks that he commits himself to.

Unrelated to spheres outside of magic, he is more subdued. He seeks to support the group he is with, but is not the most outgoing emotionally. That said, he remains supportive of those he cares about, even if he is averse to getting dragged into wild escapades out of the blue. He has his code and tries to stick to it, though his history means he may be a bit more willing than most to look for alternative solutions than simple justice and truth style things.

Grade: 3rd grade
Emotional Foci: Pride
Transformation Sequence: He twirls his staff to draw a series of magical circles in the air. These then fall in upon him and shift him into his combat uniform.
Power Manifestation:
1. Area Enchantment -One of Sylric's skills is the ability to create a zone wherein certain effects can be applied to a chosen target. Typically he has to be present to activate said zone, with larger scale enchantments requiring preparation and physical work to create. These fall into two forms. The first is to buff his allies. Increasing their speed, strength, stamina, or protecting from environmental hazards such as cold or poison. The other is to harm the enemy, reducing speed, reaction time,  as well as resistance to physical and magical damage.
2. Fire Magic - This primarily manifests in the ability to project fireballs of varying sizes, though when his emotions are potently charged he is able to unleash large blasts of flame.

Weaknesses:
1. Frustration - Frustration at a situation or a person can cause Sylric to lose focus and his magic to weaken or become erratic because of it.

Likes: Reading, sleight of hand, seeing new things
Dislikes: Overly friendly people, pointless cruelty, people with low self esteem, the smell of fish
Extra Curricular Activities: Book club, Hiking, Performing troupe

Ons: Flirting, cosplay, creative positions.
Offs: Foodplay, heavy bondage, scat, watersports, blood, vore
Player O/o: Basically useless if I'm being honest, but here it is

Backstory: One would not typically expect an elf to become a mercenary. Certainly, some of them are known to have become adventurers and explorers, but this sort of cutthroat life is more for the younger races. Yet that is exactly where Sylric landed himself.

He was born in Skyridge, where his parents had settled at the behest of Kyrene in its efforts to solidify its claims within the Ridge. His parents were granted compensation by the Scholocracy, and position conferred to go with it as incentive for the project. It also conferred certain obligations as well, though Sylric was not aware of most of those when he was growing up. As the younger sibling, he did not have that same expectation upon him, and he was unable to find a niche for himself that he really enjoyed. Once he was of age he chose to explore the world, trying various professions while drawing on the magic he had learned when he was at Skyridge

Though unexpected at first, it was some time into his journey before he was pulled into the role of a mercenary. Someone took notice of his magical prowess, and a few odd jobs playing bodyguard for convoys and fighting monsters pulled him into a larger organization where those skills could be best used. He rose in position and prestige, growing more skilled in his powers and working in a group. Maybe it would not be a permanent career, but it was something he was satisfied with.

That changed during the Siege of Whitethorne. Whitethorne was in the Fractured Lands, where a lord had struck a bargain with dark powers to establish an Empire. In turn, a local coalition had assembled to fight him, including the mercenaries Sylric was part of..  Caught in the thick of fighting, Sylric was witness to the prowess of a Justice Trooper as they fought through the defenders to topple a tyrant. Captivated by this display and intrigued by what influence those positive emotions could have, Sylric soon found himself changing occupation. He has not come to regret it yet.

Other: He was previously more plentiful in his magic abilities, but that was reduced upon joining the Justice Troopers.

Aaah, I see. Well, all of those are WAY too broad and powerful. The power level here is much lower than that, so if you wanted those two powers, you would be vastly more powerful than anybody else here. Take a look at the current sheets to get a better idea of what kind of powerscale that is. Part of the problem is that this is freeform, so "Spending Points" doesn't really translate all that well. Of the things you've desrcibed, each of those individual sub-powers would probably take up one of the four power slots on their own. xD So whilst the specific applications might be acceptable when broken down, just having a blanket power of "Psychometabolism" which includes ALL of the things it can do as listed, and only count as one? That's gonna be a hard no, I'm afraid xD

Metraxa:

Ok, so! I love the general theme thus far, I just have a few critiques and questions.

1) With the powers, I need you to be a bit more specific in what it can achieve. With his zonal magic, you say "certain effects," but don't specify what those are. Would you mind furnishing me with a list of effects he can achieve? The general rule of thumb is two sub-effects per header, so if you want to use two "Slots" to give him more variety, you can have up to four different zonal abilities. 6, if you want to use three slots. Basically, I just need you to give specifics on what he can do rather than leave it vague the way you have.
Similar thing with the fire magic; what can he DO with the fire magic? Is he limited to blasts? Can he control fire? Create flaming constructs? Create barriers? What are his capabilities with fire? In short, what does Fire Magic do in this context?

2) With your weaknesses, this is more than just gaps in his fighting style. You need at least one or two things that can outright disrupt his powers, or counter them. Remember, he doesn't have access to his powers when not in Magical Girl Mode, so you need something that can be used to disrupt them. EG, if somebody's Emotional Foci is Courage, they might have an intense phobia that disrupts their abilities when it is presented to them. That sort of thing!
This is a point; remember that the point of the game is that Sylric does not have access to his magic outside of the Transformation. His Transformation is his method of channelling his foci to give himself the abilities. Just making sure that that's clear! :D

3) In your backstory, you mention noble elven families. Which country is he from? And where is "Whitethorne?" Just a little more world context information so we know where he's from ^_^

That's all, though, so if you can address those, we should be good to go!

Oh  Vergil I thought you were asking for  what it is all capable of. I was just giving a general overview of the themes that the powers cover.  I am not looking to take all those powers. I very much so plan on narrowing it down, I just wanted to  have an idea if the general themes  would work  in the world to narrow it down and adapt it to bring it in to scale. Not actually looking to take it as  written just using it as the inspiration for the abilities as  I work to bring them more in line with the settings powers and how the work. Sorry for not making that clear that I am not looking to  make an exact recreation of these powers just drawing on them for inspiration and if  Psionic based abilities would work for the world. I was probably  going to focus on Psionic healing and teleportation to make a support character for power's wise.

Vergil Tanner

Riiiiight, ok, I'm with you now. xD That's fair! The individual abilities aren't an inherent no, the only things I tend to have that kind of gut-reaction of "Hell No" to is mind-reading and futuresight xD As long as you keep the powerscale of the game in mind, you should be fine xD

I did have a question. As I was working on my sheet I had an idea and I wanted to run it past you. I was thinking about how with my offensive stuff if I could have one type for each of the elements she uses or something. I know i put Lightning bolt and Fireball in there but I was wondering if perhaps I'd be able to add things like Wind Cutter, Rock Throw, Water Bullet and Aether Blast?
Locked, cocked and ready to rock!

Vergil Tanner

Well, hypothetically you can, yes. But remember what I said about the different slots; I want to try and cut down on people who can DO EVERYTHING, so every header can have two mini-headers. EG, Terrakinesis could have "Create stone barriers and fire razor sharp stone projectiles." But that would be it. Those would be your two earth-based powers, and if you wanted more, you'd need to use more "Subslots" for it. So if you wanted four offensive elemental abilities, you'd be left with four non-offensive abilities.

Take Arty, for example. He's designed to be a generalist. So he has four headers, and each has two sub-slots, which can be shared amongst the headers. So he has,
- Healing Magic
- Flight
- Illusions

as three of his sub-headers. The other five are dedicated to an elemental ability. In retrospect, I should probably specify those more. In fact, I'll do just that now.

Either way, if you want four different elemental abilities, they will take up four sub-slots. If that's making sense?

Not really making sense to me, but I didn't want to do everything really. But don't worry about it as for working two characters I can do it.

Vergil Tanner

Haha, fair enough. The long and short of it is that you can do it, but there is a limit to how many "sub-powers" I'll let a character have, and how diverse I'll allow a power-header to be. xD

Hmmm, ok! So I only have one question, and this is for clarification; how much of his magical potential does he have access to when in his "Non-Magical Girl" form? Does he retain the ability to use any basic abilities?

maybe making small flames that just kinda float in the air, for illumination or being a lighter, stuff like that? I wasn't really sure about that part.

So I just want to confirm something, Can powers be used outside of the Justice trooper Transformation and if so are they diminished or do they operate at full  power out side the Transformation?

Also if one was looking to make a submission for a region to add a society and culture.  Where would you like that submitted?

Vergil Tanner

Generally speaking, powers are only available in the Magical Transformation. The point of the magic system being used is that you only have access to your powers when you're transformed. Sailor Moon didn't have her magic when in her civvies, did she? :P

DM it to me :P

Starcher Silverbolt
Name: Khalil al-Bashir
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bi (Kinsey 1)
Race: Human

Appearance: A dusky-skinned young man with alert, watchful green eyes, Khahlil strives to appear tidy and put together at all times. His expression is rarely easy to read for strangers, as he tends to emote more subtly than most – he rarely grins when a sly half-smile will suffice. He is possessed of long fingers, strong and dexterous, and in fact, often, his hands are more animated than his facial expressions. His physique leans more towards the slender at first glance – it would be easy to make the mistake of thinking he doesn't have much muscle, when in fact it's more that his clothes tend to conceal the upper body strength honed by years of archery.

When Transformed, Starbolt stands clad in white vestments and a billowing cape, his regalia a mixture of military and priestly. Any shadow cast across him and any shadow cast by him is not as dark as it ought to be, instead revealing a starry night sky. Starbolt has been debating adding a white hood, a mask the lower half of his face from the nose downwards, or both.

Personality: Khalil, on the surface, appears to be composed, level-headed, the kind of person who looks before he leaps, who weighs the scales before making a decision, the one who would favor his head over his heart... in short, the kind of person who would be a poor fit for the Justice Troopers and the magic they rely on. But as the saying goes, still waters run deep.

In truth, Khalil is deeply passionate, possessed of strong convictions, stubbornness, and pride. His deep-seated admiration, bordering on hero-worship, of the Justice Troopers led him to join their ranks even against the objections of his father. When running hot, he is capable of incredibly impulsive decision making – once a fire has been ignited in him, too often his calculations undervalues personal costs to himself so long as his actions result in a higher chance of achieving the outcome he fixates on.

Deep down, Khalil knows he isn't like his fellow students or the Justice Troopers he so deeply admires– he knows that they leap to action without weighing the costs. But he can watch their backs, and maybe... just maybe, someday, he can become a little more like them.

Grade: 1st Grade
Emotional Foci: Serenity/Tranquility
Transformation Sequence: A star-studded night sky becomes visible in shadows cast onto Khalil or by Khalil. The audience's focus is drawn into this starry sky until it takes up their entire vision, before it becomes apparent that the vision of a night sky is the surface of a cocoon, dissolving into glittering stardust as Silverbolt emerges from within.
Power Manifestation:
• Gravity Manipulation: Silverbolt is able to manipulate the effects of gravity on himself, his allies, and his enemies, though in order to affect other people or objects, he must strike them first with a starbolt. He can loosen gravity's grip on a target, making them able to leap higher and farther. He can increase gravity's pull on an object by striking it with a starbolt. He can change the direction gravity pulls in an area by striking a surface, such as a ceiling or wall, with a starbolt.
• Starbolts: Starbolt is able to fire bolts of concentrated light magic from his bow at a rapid pace.
• Astrological Amplification: Silverbolt's abilities are stronger under the starlight (including sunlight). Under clear skies, he can see clearly through nonmagical darkness as clearly as if under the sun, his starbolts have greater offensive power, he can fire arrows that generate their own gravitational pull, and he can make targets float up into the sky like balloons. These benefits become unavailable when underground, beneath a roof, or under a cloudy sky.

Weaknesses: Being proven wrong, feelings of inadequacy, comrades or those under his protection dying or suffering injuries that leave them near to death. Psychoactive substances.

Likes: Capes. Chivalry. Libraries. Music. Petrichor. Stargazing. Tea. Theatre.
Dislikes: Admitting he's wrong. Alcohol and other recreational psychoactive substances. Cruelty. Dirt, Filth, and Grime. His father. Injustice. Insomnia. Murder and murderers. The word "haphazard".
Extra Curricular Activities: Archery. Astronomy. Library.

Ons: Anal. Costume Play. Erotic Massage. Handjobs. Hotdogging. Intercrural. Oral. Petplay. Roleplaying. Romance. Somnophilia. Squirting. Vaginal.
Offs: Anal to Oral. Anal to Vaginal. Bestiality. Fisting. Guro. Necrophilia. Rimming. Scat. Vore. Watersports.
Player O/o: Link

Backstory: Khalil grew up in the wondrous city-state of Justatia, looking up to their lauded protectors and champions, the Justice Troopers, especially his uncle Jabir. Khalil sought from a young age to emulate him, despite the admonishments of Khalil's father, Hadrhune, to seek another path in life, advising him that there were other less gaudy ways of fighting evil and doing good, or even, perhaps, that it might be better to seek a quieter life, a normal life than hurling himself headlong into danger like Jabir.

As the years passed and Khalil's desire to become a Justice Trooper failed to wane, tensions between Jabir and Hadrhune came to a head, and Hadrhune decided the time had come to distance himself from Justatia, leaving the city and taking his family with him, including an 8 year old Khalil, leaving for a quiet hamlet on the outskirts of Kyrene.

Life was stiflingly, almost painfully dull for one long year, before Jabir was finally able to come out to visit. Khalil's uncle gently refused him when the boy begged Jabir to take his nephew back to Justatia, but when word reached the hamlet of an emergency facing a nearby town, Jabir didn't hesitate to leap into action. Khalil, having only ever heard his uncle's tales, knowing that he might never see a Justice Trooper in action if he didn't act immediately, snuck out of his home that night to chase after his uncle, more excited than afraid.

Khalil did get to see a Justice Trooper in action that night, and a Justice Trooper murdered.

To this day, Khalil still has many questions about what happened that night – who was it that he saw murdering Jabir, and how he was able to defeat his uncle, whether his presence there cost the Justice Trooper his life. He knows he won't find peace, that his conscience won't ever be able to rest easy, until he finds the answers he's looking for, and more than ever, he's convinced the answers he's waiting half his life to look for are waiting in Justatia's Academy.

Other: Khalil's father Hadrhune was, unknown to Khalil, once among the most vaunted Justice Troopers alongside his brother Jabir. The reason for his vehement opposition to Khalil becoming a Justice Trooper is because he believes his son's disposition will make him more vulnerable as a Justice Trooper than if he pursued more traditional forms of adventuring magic – in part because of his own immense talent as a Justice Trooper, he sees his son as talentless, and believes the best way to keep him safe is to discourage him from becoming a Justice Trooper at every opportunity.

Ok, well, first of all Hello Daddy. Second of all, in his weaknesses, are those all things that can disrupt his powers? If so, that's perfect, maybe alter the "suffering injuries that leave them near death" to "suffering serious injuries," since that's more likely to come up in a fight.

Other than that...feel free to hop into the Discord and post up his sheet on the character thread, he's all approved! I can see no issues with it! ^_^

A noble philosophy; I adhere...for now.
