I recently watched this student project about the story of Odysseus and there are some fan-made movies of the culmination of their work though it's yet to become an actual play. It's an incredible musical already and I've loved some of the songs that just stick with me in the story.

At 1:08:05 of this video is a song called Suffering. For context... Odysseus has been trying to get back to his wife and son after fighting in Troy, and this musical deals with the perils and issues he encounters in his attempt to get home. In this particular song, one of the perils he encounters is a group of sirens.

This song, fair warning (if you listen to the entire version) includes a bit of a violent ending. The song takes place right after Odysseus has encountered a prophet who gives him disturbing news making him feel like he can't make it home to his family. In the song 'Monster' preceding this one... he determines that he will have to 'become a monster' in order to deal with the foes that are threatening his ability to see his wife and son again. The first situation after making that decision is this encounter with the sirens.

I have to admit that I've found the song (among many others in this musical) to be incredibly catchy. So again... the time stamp of the song in question is 1:08:05. I hope you enjoy it!
