Howdy folks, I'm here tonight because I gots the urge to oversee a good old fashioned zombie outbreak in the wildest of wests, whilst playing by one of the most fitting sets of rules imaginable. It don't matter if you're a hardened Survivor, a quick drawing Shooter, one of them folk Inspired by the lord, an exotic Martial Artist from the far east or any other type of Adept, Pulp or Talented Hero, we're gonna need all of y'all on hand if the west is to be saved.

And don't you be thinking that it'll only be fellers that don't stay dead, banditos and other disreputable types that you'll be dealing with... there's plenty more weirdness I got in store for y'all... animals that take the shape of men, false gods, lost cities and several dozen mouthfuls of mystical mumbo jumbo are all on the cards if you live long enough.

I'm hoping to run this game for as long as people continue to be invested in the story and their characters and just as a metagame spoiler, zombification will be restricted to those who've been dead an hour or more, so a bite or scratch isn't an immediate game over for your characters.

All that's required is the AFMBE Revised Core Rulebook and to a lesser extent, a Fistful o' Zombies for setting specific material. That said, I'm also allowing players to pull from the character types, Qualities, Drawbacks and any 'weird wild west' reskinable content from the rest of the product line, with specific examples being:
- the expanded Martial Arts skill and Special Chi Techniques from Enter The Zombie;
- the Mentalism and Gadgets from Pulp Zombies
- most of the new skills from One of the Living
- Invocations, Necromancy and the Shield mechanic from Dungeons and Zombies; and
- the Navigation skill from All Tomorrow's Zombies.

Is there an easy way to find the book?

The easiest legitimate way is through DriveThruRPG; but with a little extra effort, players could also use its parent game CJ Carrella's WitchCraft which is free; and I'm sure there are also several illegitimate ways to get the rules from elsewhere on the internet, but it's not the method I endorse when folks can get their hands on WitchCraft for free.

I'm thinking of setting the campaign in the late 1850's, most likely around 1858.

Definitely somewhere coastal so players can make use of the Piloting (Steamboat or Sailboat) skill :)
