Worked with Vlex a bit on this one, here's what we came up with.

Full Name: Vængra Imyli’ost Qhinn
Nickname(s): Ice Angel, Eisvogel
Age: 24
Race: Winter
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Relationship Status: Single
Role: Princess
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Green
Height: 5 foot 6 inches
Weight: 130 pounds
General Description: Vængra, despite her fondness for the physical and training, will always retain a sort of slender frame due to her sickness as a child. Though she has made up for it in recent years, becoming quite sinewy with her years of training. She tends to wear some form of armor, be it ceremonial or otherwise during most of her interactions with others. Save for a pair of earrings passed down from her Grandmother, and a small ornamental crown that doubles as a hair tie, she wears almost no jewelry. Perhaps her most striking feature is the pair of wings, made from a manner of mystical ice jutting from her upper back. Depending on the angle one looks at them from, they can appear smooth, sharp, reflective, or opaque.

Personality: The rebellious sort, Vængra enjoys verbally sparring with her betters (see “mother”) whenever she gets the chance. Mildly obsessive with overcoming her childhood weakness, which may be the root cause of her frequent disagreements with her mother. She’s quick with a smirking comment to anyone she considers her equal or better, a fun joke to the same, and a haughty ignore to anyone considered her lesser with a poor attitude. Despite her approachability from the people, she IS still a princess after all.

Likes: Wide open spaces, artwork, cats, sword play, training, overly sweet treats.
Dislikes: Sleeping on her back, swimming, needlepoint, horses.
Psychological Quirks: Vængra is claustrophobic, to the point where she’s had to relocate her quarters in the castle to the most open section of the tower.

Backstory: Vængra (born Rúna) was an incredibly sickly child upon birth. Frail and weak, it was feared she would not make it past one week much less many years. To the surprise of many, despite a persistent cough that plagued her, she made it to almost 8 years of age before these problems became irreparable. A sweet, if shy, child to that point, she spent much of her early years in her quarters. She cherished the moments she spent with any family, especially her mother, which seemed far too rare. She always enjoyed the stories she would be read curled up in mother’s lap. One evening though,  she surprised her mother during a dinner party with numerous barons with complaints of feeling well, having ventured from her room and sneaking past her nurse. Any surprise her mother might have felt, Vængra likes to imagine, would have been replaced with concern when her daughter collapsed on the floor.

All of the castles healers were at a loss and with time a precious commodity, at great cost the Coven of Lód was summoned. A fringe group inside the domain of winter, they practiced and preached...unusual methods. To this day, Vængra isn’t sure if her mother saved her out of love or to spare herself the embarrassment of a “weak child.” Still, in any event a bargain was struck, though Vængra has not yet been made aware of whatever price had to be paid. They did state that infusing Rúna with some of the “essence of winter” as they called it, could heal her, with side effects.

The bargain was struck, and the Coven went about their work and soon indeed Rúna was healed, with the effects warned about did occur. Vængra remembers a great deal of pain at that moment, as from her back sprang wings, composed of ice magic. Her screams were soon soothed however, and her new life began. Rúna was renamed Vængra, a not unheard of tradition when a winter child exhibits a life changing gift of magic.

From that point forward, a child confined to her room was a child who escaped easily. The child who wanted nothing more then to cuddle mother wanted little to do with her, not out of unlove, but because there was a whole world out there that she could now explore. She could fly wherever she wished, see anything she wanted. What comparison was a story, no matter how lovingly told? Too many times promises to obey and to stay were disobeyed, were ignored. And so a small gulf began to form between mother and daughter.

As she grew older, Vængra’s wild temperament was attempted to be re-forged with training. Warrior tutors from all over the great kingdoms were brought in, and she relished every moment of it. For a child that had been largely sedentary for most of her life, she craved the physicality of it. It seemed to repurpose her a bit, though the wild spirit she had acquired remained.

Her role in the kingdom’s eyes is something of a “warrior princess” ideal. She has fought numerous skirmishes with bandits and raiders, and even a few other more impressive foes. She leads a small contingent of guards and soldiers, her young age tempered by some of the older troops wisdom.

Weaponry: Vængra is most skilled with a sword, though is proficient with using her wings as weapons as well. On her 19th birthday she was gifted with a sword from her great grandfather, a slight man, which possessed the name Storm Breaker. It was rebound to a new hilt and pommel made specifically for her from the finest smiths.

Gear: She wears armor of the finest weave, etched with the symbol of the Royal House of Winter.

Magic:

Ice Wings/Flight – Composed of Magical Ice, these wings are a byproduct of the magic that saved her life. They have gifted her the ability to fly as easily as the frozen winds of Winter. They are dense enough to take a blow from a sword, and will “heal” over time if damaged more severely. They do not retract, but she can fold them up so they are not fully spread. They do not melt in hotter temperatures due to their mystical nature.

Ice Razors – Her wings are capable of unleashing a limited torrent of ice blades/daggers from them, perhaps a dozen or so with each turn. It takes her approximately 30 minutes for this ability to recharge.

Fire is chaotic child’s play! Come here with your magma-veins and see what happens...

Oh, and can we post WANTED ads? Because I kinda want someone to play a sneaky, black magic, evil advisor/spymaster to my Queen who is her right hand in everything and maybe they have acrobatic bed sessions occasionally....

Jugs has been preparing that line his entire life! And can finally say it in a new setting  :P

I think the Summer couple may need to be older otherwise the princes and princesses are going to be kids. They have some abnormal longevity so they'll be all right.  ::)

That is true, they would've had to have them when they were like teenagers/extremely early 20's for them to be grown. I'll edit his age while I'm finishing out the rest of the Summer info.

Also, ELEMENTAL TOURNAMENT!!!

Vlexia

Quote40. Ironically similar to the detestable Winters, the people of Summer can live very long lives. Instead of being prolonged by their environment, the Summers possess "furnaces" within them that burn brightly at birth, then eventually smolder in old age and finally fizzle out at death. An active person has a healthier flame, and some people can live to be 150 years old if they keep finding ways to stoke their inner fire like combat or worthwhile intellectual pursuits.

@Jugg

WHACK!!

If you cannot honor a No, then you certainly could never honor a Yes.

Similar to winter? More like a pale reflection of greatness.

Foxy DeVille

I would like to apply for the position of Roal Guardian in the Winters, because they are the coolest.

Face Claim: Jenny Poussin
Full Name: Nelvanna Harfang Tanaraq
Nickname(s): Nel, Vanna
Alias: “The Ravager.” Acquired after doing battle in the form of the Great Beast, she doesn’t like it.
Age: 37
Race: Winter
Gender: Female (usually)
Sexuality: Pan
Relationship Status: Single
Role: Royal Guardian
Hair Color: Platinum Blonde
Eye Color: Light Green
Height: 5’ 1”
Weight: 108 lbs
General Description: Considering her occupation Nelvanna is surprisingly petite. But her serious demeanor makes it clear she is not one to be trifled with. She tends to wear very little, not out of vanity over her tightly toned physique, many layers make using her abilities difficult. The only non-essential item on her person is her diamond navel piercing, a gift. At times if the light catches her flesh just the right way it glitters like the snow.

Personality: Nelvanna is very gruff and no nonsense, especially about her duty. She constantly glances around, trying to spot danger. Upon meeting someone she closely studies them, a habit that can be off-putting. Her loyalty is without question but she is no mere lackey. Nelvanna will speak up if she feels a course of action is unwise as sometimes a protector has to protect their charges from themselves. As great as her sense of duty is to the royal family is, it falls short of the love she has for her own.
Likes: Athletic competitions, gambling, drinking, hiking, animals, romantic poetry (shhh… )
Dislikes: Jokes about her size, crowds (for professional reasons), talking about herself
Psychological Quirks: When in animal form she is in danger of having their primal mentality overcome her own. Even in human form sometimes basic instinct is in danger of overwhelming her thoughts. Nelvanna finds this loss of control very embarrassing.

Backstory: Nelvanna’s has served the rulers of Winter for generations. Her father Koliak was an Elite Guard and her brother Tanero is a Knight, keeping the kingdom’s border safe. Nelvanna has been trained since she could pick up a stick in following her family’s footsteps. Fourteen years ago she became an Elite Guard and for the past decade has been a Royal Guardian. Nelvanna remains proud to have achieved this honor and continues to serve as best she can.

Weaponry: Swords, knives, and axes are preferred. These frequently have to be discarded when she changes shape so they will be well-made but not too expensive.
Gear: A few scraps of armor, mainly for modesty and to show her position.
Steed: Tundra, a horse that is small but hardy (like his mistress).
Familiar: No, but Nelvanna has a natural rapport with animals.

Magic:
Animal Skinning: Nelvanna can take the shape of any beast native to Winter. These creatures are always white.

Cold Care:
She can use ice, snow, or even chilled water to heal herself. The greater the cold, the greater the benefit.

Crystal Vision:.
If there is enough light Nelvanna can use reflections off of  snow and ice to create mirages of things that happened in the past.

The Great Beast:
Her most dangerous form is that of a white furry humanoid twice her size. This creature is male, supernaturally strong, and in possession of a rather malevolent personality that tries to dominate Nelvanna. The danger is summoning him is great although his power is undeniable.

TheBlackThrone

#41
The animal powers would normally only be associated with Spring, but seeing as you're making her a skinwalker and you did theme her shapeshifting to only animals in Winter (not counting her beast form), then that seems fine. I guess I will allow the Great Beast form just to allow you something unique since I'm sure as more winter folk join it'll become harder to have different powers within the Winter theme. Oh yes, you need to designate specifically who she guards.

To Everyone: You can have more than one character, but those who are playing Kings and Queens cannot claim the roles of other Kings and Queens. You can play everything else, but those.

I really want to make a second character.

I REALLY want to make a Summer Princess....

But the other kingdoms need support!

Decisions, decisions....

Although now the more I think of it I’m feeling a guard of some sort.

I’ll look over the two kingdoms again and see where the muse takes me!!
