Hello all,
As some folks were requesting one, I'm putting together another try at a Godbound game on this site. If you're not familiar with the term, it's an RPG system for demigod characters. While you are welcome to use material from the deluxe version and the Lexicon supplement, the free version is also perfectly acceptable. We'll be using the published setting, but if you don't know it very well that's not a deal breaker - more on this in a moment.

I am not restricting based on writer or character gender at all.

I take a somewhat stricter view of consent than some people, and as such class a lot of the gifts of various Words as being inherently nonconsensual. As such, this game is going in Noncon Exotic, simply to represent the fact that the situations are inherently not consensual in nature. I am open to going to Extreme if people want, but that will depend on the consensus opinion.

You will be starting at level one, using the standard stat array. You all gain one of your choice of the Command, Passion, Dance, Desire, or Music Words (several being from Lexicon) without spending gift points or a Word known on it, and can take as many or few of the gifts from this Word as you wish to. This is because of how you got your gifts - which is noted below.

The Plot

This game will be plot driven. There may be explicit sexual scenes, but the game as a whole still has a story to it. That story opens with your characters being residents of the small realm of Irohn. This was a paradise realm, formed by the Made God Arkas after the war with Heaven. It was a good world, watched over by Arkas, who guided the people through their cycle of reincarnation within the realm. Much of the work was done by undead laborers, leaving citizens free to focus on management, artistic expression, self-perfection and transcendence, and the non-menial labor that demands a thinking mind. In the broken world left behind after the war, it was about as good as it gets for life.

But now, everything has changed. You were standing in the square when it happened. Arkas, whose constructed body was standing still within the center of the square, suddenly transformed into a wave of blue flame. It washed over you, but did not burn. When it passed, Arkas was gone, and you had power unlike anything you had ever dreamed of - the power taken from a shard of Heaven's machines, the power of Creation itself. You and the other heritors of Arkas's power are now faced with a monumental task. The world of Irohn is dissolving without the Made God. Uncreated Night eats at the edges of the realm, dissolving it back into nonexistence. The Uncreated roam throughout the wilds and beat on the doors of the city. It falls to you to lead your people in an exodus from Irohn across the Night Roads to another, more stable realm, and settle them there.

Let me know if there are any questions.

Putting a token of tentative interest here as well. I've plenty to learn about the setting and the system (hell, about ERP as well), but I'm definitely interested in demigodly/heroic shenanigans and giving this system a try.

Gilgameshian

Naturally I shall claim my interest in this. While work is actually more crazy right now I'd still love to play Godbound. I'll be pondering what kind of divine entity I want to play as I work.
March 2020: Working Retail + Virus Panic = Brain not work so good. Expect slow intermittent replies as sanity slowly drains and is returned.

Zaer Darkwail

I voice interest to join as well, albeit busy this weekend so besides quick concept cannot work on sheet grinding until later (simple as it appears to be in Godbound).

Petrus02

you seem to have a love for unpopular settings and systems ylva^^ Worm, Godbound... All things I always wanted to try and never got the chance. Count me interested.

Dreaming Space

I'm interested. I know the system in fairly intricate detail, and I'm happy to help other people make characters.

― Terry Pratchett

Storyfaerie

I'm completely new to the system, but I'm interested! I have a few Demigod characters that I hope would fit in well with the setting.

Folks can feel free use my sheet format which I put on spoiler below;

Words&Divine Gifts

                    Committed Effort
"Music"
Those gifted by Music can set their Charisma to 16, or to 18 if it's already 16 or higher. They have an invulnerable immunity to the sounds they generate being muted, even by gagging or the physical
excision of their vocal cords, and may summon any musical instrument they've ever used as an On Turn action. They may produce music at will without interfering with any of their other actions.
X
"Entropy"
The Word of Entropy grants a Godbound no need for food, drink, sleep, or air, and they also seem to be functionally unaging. They can destroy any non-divine inanimate object they touch as a Main
Action, or up to three cubic feet of a larger object per round.
X
"Death"
Heroes with the Death Word may command undead in their presence as an action, ordering up to one Mob of any size. Greater undead gets a Spirit saving throw to resist, and cannot be commanded to self-destruct. As an On Turn action, they also know the details of what, where, and how anything died or is dying within 100 feet of them.
X
"Time"
Heroes with the Time Word always know the exact time and are immune to any uses of this Word to affect them or scry on them. They may set their Wisdom to 16, or 18 if it’s already 16 or higher.
X

                                                                         Committed Effort
"Passionate Crescendo" (Action)
Commit Effort. With your music, infuse chosen listeners with a powerful emotion focused on a target or topic of your choice. Up to a Vast Mob of lesser foes in earshot are affected for as long as Effort remains committed. Worthy foes can roll a Spirit save to resist; on a failure, they recover in no more than a day's time. People so emotionally influenced will act to the limit of their natural character; combatants must make a Morale check if infused with fear or despair.
X
"Things Fall Apart" (Constant)
The Godbound's displeasure causes physical decay, dissolution, and collapse. They may use it as a magical ranged weapon out to sight distance, doing 1d10 damage. Against inanimate objects, this damage is always maximum and can erode a sphere up to 6 feet in diameter of non-divine matter every round.
X
"A Pale Crown Beckons" (Action)
Commit Effort for the scene. You can call up undead, summoning parts instantly from the nearest source if necessary. A single greater undead of hit dice no more than twice your level is called, or one Small Mob of 1 HD lesser undead is created for every three levels you have, rounded up. A corpse made into a greater undead must not have received funeral rites or been dead for more than a month. The undead are loyal, but dissolve when you use this gift again. Summoned entities or Mobs can be preserved indefinitely for 1 Dominion point each.
X
"Immediate Foresight" (Constant)
You cannot be surprised. Your natural armor class is 3, as you instinctively avoid foreseen blows. Armor and shields don't aid this AC.
X
"Echoes of the Past" (Action)
Commit Effort for the scene. Choose a particular time or known event in the past that occurred at this location and witness it as if you were present.
X
"Look Forward" (Action)
Commit Effort for the day. Ask a question about a situation’s future outcome or the future actions of a person you’ve seen before. The GM gives a one-sentence answer regarding the most probable outcome or actions that seems likely to them.

Background
Salemos was from an above middle-class family, a rich merchant family. However he was not drawn into making money (despite pressure by his father), he was drawn to fine arts and music, 'idle useless pursuits' as his father called it. Once Salemos entered musical academy his father denounced him and he was left dry with no luxury nor wealth, but the starvation inspired him writing potent musical works for more well renown and influential artists. he studied in the academy and under many musicians, but eventual his career led into as conductor and he achieved renown status as he during graduation ceremony led orchestra which led the audience through powerful emotions; sorrow, joy, forlorn and so on.

Salemos lived as musician and passionate about it, to point he was at times called intense perhaps as a conductor. Demanding much from the musicians who played. Those who failed he dismissed swiftly, viewing musicians nothing more than tools achieve the desired greatness and his vision than as people.

But since then when Arkas fire engulfed him, his mind had changed. He still is passionate about music but he sees a greater whole; both beginning and end, the note and the silence between notes in grand music called 'life' and 'fate'. He is well aware of the past and the present of Irohn, Arkas creation and how grand and great it was. But he senses entropy approaching and meaning as in any musical, it has a ending and it's approaching. So to avoid music of people of Irohn to fall eternal silence, he has to lead them and the ancestors with them to new place. Seek place where music of the people continue thrive and perhaps by his guidance; play all eternity.

Words&Divine Gifts

                    Committed Effort
"Dance"
Godbound of Dance may raise either their Dexterity or Charisma scores to 16, or to 18 if the score is already 16 or higher. They can communicate effectively with any intelligent creature, reading their body language and using small, exquisitely expressive motions to answer in turn. Dance is as restorative as sleep and food to the Godbound and those who dance with them.
X
"Theft"
Those bound to the Word of Theft can invariably pick any mun-dane lock, evade any mundane trap, and sneak past or pickpocket any lesser foe with no chance of failure, provided they do so with some modicum of discretion. They may overcome magical locks, traps and barriers by Committing Effort for the scene.
X
"Deception"
Heroes  with  the  Deception  Word  may  raise  either  their  Dexterity  or Charisma to 16, depending on whether they favor stealth or lies. If either score is already 16 or higher, they may set it to 18 instead.
X
"Night"
Heroes with the Word of Night can see perfectly in darkness. They need not sleep, and their actions will never involuntarily cause the awakening of any sleepers around them.
X

                    Committed Effort
"Liar’s Flawless Grace(deception)"
Your lies can never be detected as such by magic or other special abil-ities, including those of the Deception Word. Lesser foes will always believe  them  unless  they  are  completely  implausible,  emotionally  intolerable, or would oblige them to self-harm.
"Shadow Play(deception)"
Commit Effort. You can create perfect illusions in sound, smell, and seeming, though they are intangible to the touch. The illusion appears anywhere within sight, can be up to 30 feet in diameter, and can be made  to  move  and  seem  lifelike  without  further  attention  so  long  as Effort remains committed to them. Invisibility is not an illusion.
"A Road of Shadows(night)"
Commit Effort for the scene. Step into one shadow and emerge from the one nearest to the desired destination, provided it’s within a mile.
"Veiled Step(deception)"
Commit Effort. Lesser foes have no chance to detect you so long as you stay out of their immediate presence and don’t draw attention. Worthy foes can try a Spirit save to resist when you are near
"Word"
"Word"
"Word"
"Perfect Rhythm(dance)"
Your supernatural grace and sense of rhythm grants you a base Armor Class of 3. You are immune to falling damage and cannot trip, slip, or be forcibly moved from your chosen position by a hostile force.
"Excellence of the Word(Night)(general)"
Choose one attribute score and raise it to 18(Constitution). This excellence is usually colored by the Word that grants it: The more dire the situation, and the more hurt she is, the darker her temper and mood becomes.

6 lesser gifts from 6 free points, + you allowed us to take as many of the gifts of one of the words, I chose the dance word and took a bunch of the gifts there I thought were appropiate. I can tone them down to as few as you want though. Edited my post to reflect which gift comes from which word for better understanding.

Sepulchritude

Was the intent "You can buy gifts from your bonus word normally"?

How are you getting that many gifts at level one?

I assumed the free word and the wording you used made me think you can take as many gifts from the freebie word as you desired. Base amount of gifts you can select is 6, so assumed the freebie word also provided freebie gifts as well. Considering we could only pick from specific list of words than any the freebie. Which made also sense as we all are from city where idle arts&pursuits were heavily encouraged and ingrained as part of the culture (sort 'stamp of power' from origin wise).

If the intention was we get freebie word which from we can pick gift choices as we desire (using the base 6), then my bad for the assumption and thus needing to edit my sheet (and Petrus02 as well).

CountessYlva

You can take as many of the gifts of the bonus word as you want, using regular gift points. Again, apologies if that was unclear.

Sepulchritude

No one could really say they were ready for Arkas' body to become spirit and loose its hold on the edges of the world.  Who could possibly prepare for such a thing?  But Erato's family may in fact have been particularly unready.  Oh, sure, eldest brother Alektos was training at the Flat Circle school, and second sister Grippa was a masterful calligrapher and had read every volume of the Arcadion at least twice.  But the oyster pools were out at the far end of the Ocean, so it was luck alone that kept Pherope, Erato's mother, from being on a dive the day the Nothing swallowed up the shoals.  And for that matter, Alektos was the only real fighter, and Grippa the only scholar, they had to offer the city.  Hell, Erato had studied baking once she was of age.  All those children, and not even a fortune-teller.  They had been lucky they were part of such a tight-knit community.  Everyone was.

Prior to the Imbuing, Erato was a quiet, unassuming girl whose great passion for food and the joy it delivers distracted her from the harder points of life entirely.  She was happy in a private way—appreciative, more than anything—and didn't show the slightest interest in telling someone else where to find their inspiration.  Six older siblings and their teasing meant she always had a quick reply at the ready, but it never quite grew into a sharp tongue.  After all, it wasn't as though anything was ever meant to hurt.  Erato was slightly below average in height and weight, with curly brown hair a few shades lighter than her skin and eyes.  Never much of an athlete, she developed her stamina by hard work alone, generally eschewing the help of the Faithful Ancestors.  It meant strong legs, a strong back, and a grip to crush a walnut, none of which did the slightest thing to shave inches off her dramatic curves.  Why, if anything, those thighs...

Ahem.  Well.  Her parents called her Acorn.

Since the Arclast, there's no sign to look at and say, 'This girl, she's no mere girl now.'  She hasn't picked up the glowing eyes, eerie aura, or impossible grace of some of the others who were fortunate enough to be crossing the square that day.  But little remains of the quiet and unassuming bits.  This new Erato has, apparently, learned all Arkas once knew about the cycle of souls and what guides one in its transit, and she isn't shy about offering the insights that comes with.  She always seems to know what someone really wants more than they themselves are aware, and if she has been wrong yet, no one noticed.  At first, she played matchmaker with her friends.  Since the raids from the Nothing began, though, she has been spending a lot of time out in the fields, with the Faithful Ancestors she once couldn't be bothered to acknowledge.  They come up to her as though having a conversation sometimes, and occasionally the whole lot of them will drop their tasks at once, cross the fields seemingly at random, and take up another's task, all synchronized.  No one has been able to get close to ask her why.

Words: Death Desire Fertility Journeying

Origin: Erato and all her siblings grew up in the (four-generation!) family trade: artisanal pearl farming.  But only Callisto stayed in the business as an adult.
Occupation: Instead, Erato apprenticed with the Bakers Guild and has grown into a fine pastry chef in her own right.
Relationship: None of the seven siblings, in fact, wound up in the same profession, and there are few questions someone at the weekly family dinner cannot answer.

Sheet: Available here

If anyone is intimidated by the mechanics, I'm happy to help put them in context, or even brainstorm good combinations to fit a theme.  Just suggest an inhabitant of a slightly surreal technomagical paradise and how they would respond to it suddenly beginning to fall apart around them.
