So!

This is just an interest check to see if there would be anyone interested in a game set in the world of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. I've been on a big kick for the game lately with the release of the last bit of DLC, and the attempts to find some solo stories set in the world have yielded little progress, so...Well, why not try here?

My idea is to keep the game set, initially, in the Academy Phase of the game. Canon characters from the titular three houses would be available for play--I could possibly consider original characters as well, or for those particularly creative, characters from other Fire Emblem games. Surprise me! I can help try and make it fit in-world!

It would be largely free-form, sandbox. There could be a month system like in game, just to keep some narrative and plot details focused, but I'm really open to feedback on what type of structure people would be interested in. The ultimate goal would be to see what happens as we approach the War Phase of the game--perhaps we can find the mythical golden route, or perhaps players hash it out and find an ultimate victor?

But, really, I just want to see if there would be any kind of interest before I dive too deep into hashing out how everything would work, how to handle the plot, and so forth.

So is anyone up for some low fantasy, academy-setting fantasy drama, adventure, and intrigue?

Character Sheets - Once you character sheets has been approved, feel free to post it in here!

Opening this up for recruitment! GM information is incoming, but for now, here's a simple character sheet for those interested. I'm not expecting people to do something completely from scratch for canons--the Fire Emblem wiki has plenty of detailed information on these characters. I think character sheets just help get a focus and basis going. And for anyone who might need some brushing up, any information you might need on your character is there. ^^

Listed below are characters currently available for play.

Black Eagles:

  • Hubert - Reserved (legomaster00156)
  • Ferdinand
  • Linhardt
  • Caspar - Claimed (pendarious)
  • Bernadetta
  • Dorothea - Reserved (Synecdoche17)
  • Petra - Reserved (GalactricDruid)

Blue Lions:

  • Dedue
  • Felix
  • Ashe - Claimed (Deathnote)
  • Sylvain - Claimed (Deathnote)
  • Mercedes
  • Annette
  • Ingrid - Claimed (Stilted)

Golden Deer:

  • Hilda
  • Lorenz
  • Raphael - Reserved (GalacticDruid)
  • Ignatz
  • Lysithea
  • Marianne
  • Leonie

Ashen Wolves:

  • Yuri
  • Constance

  • Hapi

Church of Seiros:

  • Manuela - Reserved (Synecdoche17)
  • Hanneman - Claimed (pendarious)
  • Gilbert
  • Alois
  • Seteth
  • Flayn
  • Cyril

Thanks to Life in Color for allowing me to use her CS template, with some modifications for this game!

At start, I'll allow people two or three characters. I just ask that you keep them all active. For the moment, characters that aren't available to play, as they'll be GM controlled for plot reasons, are:

  • House Leaders (maybe--in discussion)
  • Byleth
  • Rhea
  • Jeralt
  • Catherine
  • Shamir

Is a deep knowledge of Fire emblem required?
A Working Progress.             Posting responses are: Slow.    Updated

Ace Flyer

Nope!

The world is simple enough for the premise that I can sum it up I  the recruitment post. And the wiki is detailed enough for anyone who wants to go lore digging. ^^

The long/short is that the world has three main nations, that send their heirs/prominent commoners to the Officer's Academy to learn...mostly warfare, but other topics as well, to prepare them for eventually having leadership roles back home.

They're based in three houses, or classes, based on where they come from. And that's basically it, without digging into gane mechanics that won't matter for the RP.

Levi

I did some googling I might be interested in Sothis or Edelgard
A Working Progress.             Posting responses are: Slow.    Updated

Ace Flyer

Great! :D

Edelgard is probably my favorite character in the game, so, I'm definitely happy to see she'd be played. ^^ Hopefully we can get a few more people to show interest, and I'll spin this up for actual recruitment.

Galactic Druid

Oh hell yes. Really glad I decided to peek at your other posts, ace!

Are Cindered Shadows characters allowed? I just finished the DLC, and Balthus or Yuri would be super fun to play.

Actually, I may end up doing 1 male and 1 female if that's okay...

Ace Flyer

Great!

I...don't see why not, actually. We'll be able to work out an easier way to get them on the surface. I'm hashing out a few plot ideas, but I'll keep them in mind!

So yeah, those two would be fine. Depending on how many people sign on, I'll likely allow multiple characters. The only people I might restrict are Church of Seiros characters--keep PC limited to the students for now. Maybe. Possibly. Will all depend on what kind of interest we get.

Here's hoping for a few more and I'll reboot this into an actual recruitment!

Galactic Druid

Reeeaaaallly debating Petra as a female character to snag. On one side, she’s my favorite 3H character, and it would be fun to see if I can nail her speech. On the other, I’m hoping someone else might write her, and I can write a scene with them. ^^;;

Petra, Annette, and Lysithea fall below E's age limit at the beginning of the first year. Late Academy phase / any War phase could include them.

I am a huge flake who should not apply to any game, but playing Dorothea and a fully bisexual Manuela sounds appealing. >_>;

Everyone would be aged up as needed to follow the site's rules, of course. ^^

Petra is 15? I figured Lysithea would be too young, the game does make a big deal about her age. I have no problem believing Anette is younger as well, but Petra did not strike me as a 15 year old in any way.

But yeah, good thing you brought it up, we'll be sure to mention it. Maybe this is year two of an altrenate timeline?

Silk

This is tempting, admittedly i'd much rather do OC than canon but if I was to pick a Canon I would probably say Leonie or Bernadette.

I don't think we'd need to do a 'year two' or anything. It's simple enough to increase ages. They hardly matter in the game, after all, so I'm not sure why the developers even specified...

Hmm...Well, I would prefer to see cannons, admittedly. But if you want to make an OC to go along with Leonie and/or Bernadetta, I suppose it would be okay.

I think this is a good, small number to try and kick things off. The game certainly has a Black Eagle tilt to it, though, so I may shift the premise slightly to focus on this House. I'll make this an actual recruitment!

I'll post a small character sheet template in the first post a bit later today, if people want to fill it out for their chosen characters?

legomaster00156

If there is a Black Eagles tilt, and a good Edelgard roleplayer to go beside, I might be interested in joining as Hubert von Vestra. He's always been an interesting character to me.

Stilted

Oooh!  I am super interested in this!

Admittedly, I'm a Blue Lions fangirl.  If the Black Eagles tilt isn't going to make the other houses obsolete I'd love to join in the fun!  My primary interest is in playing Ingrid, though I will happily take as many characters as you'll allow me (as mains or NPCs).

Is it safe to assume that Byleth will be a professor for the Black Eagles?

Ace Flyer

Heya!

Not at all, go for Ingrid! I'll likely allow people to play two or three characters as long as they promise to stay active with all of them.

Admittedly I'm hashing out Byleth still. I'm debating there being two Byleth's--m!Byleth with the Lions, f!Byleth with the Eagles. Edelgard and Dimitri need the stabilizing influence the most, Claude more or less has his act together.

Toying with the idea of Sothis playing around with the Divine Pulse to try and create an "optimal" future for Fodlan, after witnessing all of Byleth's possible futures...

...Dunno, but I'm planning on hashing all that GM stuff out tonight. So tl;dr, yes, Ingrid is all yours!

Stilted

Awesome, thanks!

I'd like to play more than one character but I will hold off on claiming anyone else at present; I'd like to leave availability for other interested players, after all.

I'm familiar enough with the game that I'd like to think I could comfortably play whomever is needed.  Consider my second (and maybe third) character(s) as open to filler roles.

I look forward to playing with you guys!

Your call! I also plan on filling in as random characters as needed for people. I highly doubt there will be enough players to cover the entire cast, so I just assumed I would GM various other characters as NPCs for scenes as requested until someone maybe wants to play them.

I posted a simple CS for people to fill out! You all can either post it in here, or PM it to me, either or! I'll have some example ones up hopefully tonight for Byleth, Claude, and Dimitri.

pendarious

My posting will probably be a bit slow but if I can I'd like to play Hanneman, Caspar, and Claude

==Basics==

Name: Ingrid Brandl Galatea
Gender: Female
Sexual Preference: Bisexual
Relationship Status: Single
Kinks: Writer O/O
Age: 17

==Relationships==

Family: Daughter of Count Galatea: Ingrid is of noble blood and the only child of her family to inherit a Crest (minor Crest of Daphnel).
Players: Childhood friend of Dimitri, Felix, and Sylvain.

==Description==

Height: 5'5" (165 cm)
Weight: 115 lbs (52 kg)
Physical Description: Ingrid has a cascade of golden hair that reaches beyond her waist, usually contained in a single braid.  Straight bangs and jaw length tresses frame an angelic and often all-too-serious countenance.  Her olive green eyes are clear and expressive, her face free of any trace of make-up (unless Annette gets a hold of her!)  Her form is athletic and lithe, thanks largely in part to her training.
Personality Description: Ingrid aspires to be a knight, and as such she is principled and of an industrious nature.  Dimitri himself claims that "she is more knightly than most knights."  She is hardworking and constantly training herself to become an ideal knight.   She would rather be on the front lines of battle than be a housewife.
Background/History: Despite her noble birth, her family has fallen on hard times.  Their lands are poor and unsuited for agriculture.  Ingrid has a tremendous amount of pressure to marry: as the heir of House Galatea, Ingrid's father desperately wants her to fulfill her role as a proper lady in order to preserve the house's future. While she is exasperated by his insistence and wants to be rid of the burden in pursuit of her own dreams, she is nonetheless grateful to her father and feels a great guilt for following her present path.
Ingrid was engaged from birth to Glenn of House Fraldarius (Felix's elder brother), but her fiance was killed during the Tragedy of Duscur when she was 13 years old. She holds resentments towards the people of Duscur to this day.  She idolizes the noble knight that Glenn was, aspiring to achieve his caliber in her own pursuits of knighthood.

==The Special Stuff==

Skills/Hobbies:  Ingrid is skilled with a lance; her biggest strengths are high speed and above-average magic resistance (for a physical oriented character), along with respectable scores of luck and charm.  Her hobbies include reading of chivalrous knights and tending to and riding horses.
Weaknesses:  Food.  The serious aspiring lady knight is capable of completely forgetting herself in the presence of delicious morsels.
Extras:  TBD

I reserved Hanneman and Caspar for you! House leaders I might keep for GM/plot reasons--I'm hashing that out right now. Should I not do that (pending some discussion with Levi, who wanted Edelgard) you'll have first dibs on Claude!

I reserved Petra and Raphael for you. I wasn't sure where you stood on the Ashen Wolves (and I just realized I didn't put them in the intro for available people x.x ) so let me know on them.

Ok I'll claim Bernie and Leonie. Normally I dont like doing multiples, but given how little Bernadette gets out itll be more like playing 1.5 characters xD

I fully support you if you decide to keep house leaders for GM control, but if you end up allowing them to be playable characters I would love dibs on Dimitri!

And...random shout out to interested players: Blue Loins!

Imaginary points to whomever joins the team~  If we don't have any takers in the next day or two I will probably snag Ashe (my absolute favorite!) and Sylvain (because he is tons of fun), assuming Dimitri remains off limits.

And cool! I'll keep an eye out and mark them for you this weekend if no one else claims them. I admit, was debating poking at Sylvain myself, but...mainly due to shipping Sylvain and Ingrid. ^^;; Felix/Ingrid was also fun, though...

The writing in Three Houses was just too good. All of the characters, I think, are handled so well.
