SLASHER (Freeform Halloween Horror Game) [Closed]

SLASHER is a freeform horror game focused on creating a brief, reasonably simple but fun collaborative story revolving around a group of teen's efforts to survive a mysterious, possibly supernatural, slasher. It will need a simple but concrete character concept, a reasonable posting rate and an acceptance your character may well not make it through the story. SLASHER will not have a focus on smut but will feature adult content including references to sex, use of alcohol or drugs, graphic conversations/language, a general horror theme including suspense, mortal danger, graphic violence and an overwhelming theme of fearing the unknown. I will be writing 1-2 NPC's in order to give both some potential early victims to keep the PC's around longer and to let me help set the tone of the initial scene pre-Slashings.

This is currently an interest check. Please post in this thread if you are interested in joining. I'll only be able to accept around 4-6 writers based on their concepts, activity and comfort with the game's content/goals.

The Game

SLASHER will be set in the woodlands by the fictional town of Dusk Falls in rural America. A group of teens have decided to get away from their families for Halloween this year, all in their final year of highschool between the ages of seventeen to eighteen they've decided it'll be a lot easier to have a few drinks, misbehave and maybe prank one another with a spooky theme if they have some privacy. Renting a cabin was easy enough, arriving on October 30th to set up some simple decorations and make sure they have an ample stock of booze. Everyone's managed to settle in well enough, killing time throughout the day of the 31st with a little casual drinking, immature games and messing about. Everyone's well aware the real fun will start in the evening, but what none of the group could possibly count on was the unexpected arrival of an uninvited guest ready to turn pretend horror to a very real nightmare.

What will SLASHER feature?

-> An active environment. All players will need to be able to post every 1-2 days to keep the game flowing well towards the Halloween period. SLASHER is aimed to be a relatively short group game with a firm ending rather than something long term.
-> Simplistic and easy to fill in CS's.
-> A relatively small, focused group of around 4-6 players who best suit the game's theme and activity level.
-> A horror game with a mixture of classic tropes and a few spins, graphic violence and content and a genuine effort to create a level of fear in the characters. It is vital to accept that characters in SLASHER are temporary and may well die at any moment.
-> A freeform environment in which you as a writer can decide how your character acts in an effort to evade a strange threat with, at first, unknown abilities. Some may fall to misfortune, others to known bad decisions. How many survive will be up to the game itself.
-> Various potential paths for the group and story. Whether they try to, or do, kill the Slasher is up to the group. Whether they escape or not is up to the group. Everyone can have their own goals and choices. Splitting up is an option. It's a fluid, loose story concept where everyone's contributions matter.

Rules

Activity - This game needs to be active in order to remain semi-short. Posts every 1-2 days with some occasional extensions will be ideal.
Danger - This game features a slasher who may well maim or murder PC's. Everyone's at risk and it's at the GM's discretion what the slasher does, who he goes for and how he goes for them.
Smut - This isn't a smut game. It's possible that some characters may make out at the beginning but it's very unlikely to go further than that due to the danger. Any characters going further will likely be targeted. Horror trope rules!
Drama - Do not start or participate in drama. Bring any issues to me. The Slasher will be indiscriminate, nobody will be picked on. If it goes south for your PC it was the PC who messed up, not you. This is not a competitive game at all.
Content - This game will be placed in extreme due to the potential for graphic content. CS's will feature a segment specifically to veto harm to any particular area of your character and all posts will feature content warnings for graphic content. Graphic violence is absolutely guaranteed to happen and if your PC is injured some horrible descriptions are encouraged.
Dropping Out- If you drop out of this game for reasons of time commitment then your PC will be victim to the Slasher. This is not intended as a punishment but simply to keep the game's story arc functioning. Please be aware of this. If there is any sense of bad blood, drama or negativity I may not do this if it feels inappropriate, case by case.

Right now I just wanna make sure there's at least 3-4 people at a bare minimum, to make sure there'll actually be a game. Before any CS's get done.

I have a question about this story. Can you give us some movie samples of what type of slasher story this is going to be? Like in my head I have Friday the 13th and like Saw. I'm totally down with the Friday the 13th. But maybe not so much Saw.

Friday the 13th is by far the most apt. No elongated Saw-esque torture.

Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween. Maybe a tiny bit of Scream's trope-heavy nature.

If either of you know anyone who may be interested feel free to let them know. I'm okay to run this for at least 3-4 people but not less. Hopefully understandable. I know the victim role, short running nature and semi-high hoped for activity levels may all make this recruitment a challenge. It was something of a test interest check, wasn't sure if it'd work out.

Left it up for a few days but unfortunately, there's not the interest here to make this concept viable as it needs people fast and all that. I know it was an unusual idea for the execution and I didn't really think it'd gain traction myself. Perfectly okay with that.
