Men in general judge more by the sense of sight than by that of touch, because everyone can see but few can test by feeling. Everyone sees what you seem to be, few know what you really are; and those few do not dare take a stand against the general opinion. Therefore it is unnecessary to have all the qualities I have enumerated, but it is very necessary to appear to have them. And I shall dare to say this also, that to have them and always observe them is injurious, and that to appear to have them is useful; to appear merciful, faithful, humane, religious, upright, and be so, but with a mind so framed that should you require not to be so, you may be able and know how to change to the opposite.

Just as a point of order, I'm considering making a second character; a female slave who would be a fucktoy and an assassin, magically bound with a contract. If any of the current players are interested in having her connected with their character, creating a second character to be connected to her, or if somebody who has not yet made a character is reading and is interested in having a sexy Drow slave...let me know! I want to know that there's interest before I create her :P

Dibs! xD

Maybe, maybe not, but you specifically ask if we wanted in having a connection to her.    So... yeah, I would :P

Lol, true, but I meant "Who has a character that is likely to own her and wants to?" :P

Aqua Aegean, "Princess of the Waves"

Race: Aelfin [Mermaid]
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Gender: Female

Race-based Powers:
Transformation: The ability to turn her tail into legs so she can walk on land. There is no time limit to how long her legs last however should she get her legs wet her tail does return. Aqua must be careful not to let this happen any old where of course as Captain of her own ship this can be a bit of an issue as she is litrally surrounded by water night and day.

Hydromancy: A method of divination using water , Aqua can control the general ebb and flow of waves and ripples. She can use this power to create great waves, the power is limited and she can not create massive storms or twisters.

Zoolingualism: The ability to talk to animals. Aqua can talk to any animal who lives in the sea. This is limited to just theses animals who have an affinity to the water, she finds land creatures incomprehensible.

Role: Reaver Captain
Faction: Luci's
Face Claim: Emma Watson

Player O/O's: Levi
Character O/O's: Likes: Foreplay, oral giving and receiving, kissing,  group scenes,
Dislikes:gore, vore, scatt, watersport, non con

Appearance:

In her mermaid form Aqua has flowing purple hair that falls just past her buttocks or start of her tail in this case, she has incredibly pale almost white eyes that help her see in the deeper parts of the sea. From head to find she stands at 5'8 and her forearms are covered in scales that are a ricocheting coloured of blues and purples, her tail and the scales there match her arms. She wares a bra of intricate sea gold encrusted with lost jewels and Aqua also sports other Hewlett from sunken ships.

In her human form Aqua's hair turns a dark blond and her skin pinkens under the heat of the sun, her eyes darken to a dark brown. Aqua blends in well with humans but there is something ethereal about her a beauty that isn't quite natural and this draws people to her.

Personality:

Aqua started life as a sweet young mer child, she was born to a large talented family. She was often overlooked for her undeveloped powers. As a consequence of this Aqua found she could sneak away from home unnoticed and began to explore the surrounding reefs and the shipwrecks that littered it. She loved exploring the ships more then anything else and found the treasures with in them fascinating. Aqua burned with desire to know more about the human world above and why they would leave such treasures to for below the waves. As Aqua grew she became more and more daring with her trips swimming ever closer to the surface until one day she dared to breach the surface to look at the world above.

That decision changed a lot of things for Aqua! She found her first love above the waves, it was the sweet innocent love of a child woman who didn't know any better. However when it was crushed under the heading boot of a pirate that's when the sweet jinnocent young mer child returned to sea and became siren of a woman. As an adult Aqua loves and hates men in the same breath, she loves there company in her bed and should she desire one Aqua makes her interest known. She no longer trust them Romain her heart however and has never given any her love since that first human male. However Aqua does hold a strong regard and liking for a certain pirate Captain although she would rather die then allow him to know. Over the years that Aqua learned to be a pirate she met the great Lucilla, someone she idolizes more then anything.  Aqua also finds her very attractive and flirts with her, in hopes of one day sharing the Queen's bed.  Aqua is a strong sword fighter having learnt from the great Barabossa's, it is not however her strong suit and she avoids one to one fights if she can. Aqua prefers a more sneaky technique, learning the enemy's weakness and using it to her advantage, she also uses her power over the water to great success.

History Overview:

Born into a middle class family of mers Aqua didn't start life as anything special, born as a middle child her parents found her safely lacking. All her other siblings had talents and powers from the moment they were born but not Aqua. As a young mer pup she often got overlooked by her parents and as such she became a bit of an adventurer. Exploring the reefs and ships around their home was one of Aqua's favourite pass times. As a teenager Aqua took to bedecking her scales with the jewels she found on sunken ships and this drew her many appreciative eye, but Aqua wasn't interested in her fellow fish. She wanted to see the world above, the mermaid began to grew more daring with her adventures swimming ever closer to the surface until one day she broke through the barrier.

What a sight greater her, endless sea as far as the eye could see, endless blue hanging above her, but something was happening on the water, something she had never seen before, a great storm was howling waves tossed the frightened mer from side to side and she was grown into a rocky area. Aqua slid upon the rock and there behind a ship a real ship bucking across the waves. The great seamabove her head rumbled and light fell from it hitting the ship, a great book rang from it and Aqua thought she heard screams! Then with a crack the main mast cell and the ship began to sink.

Aqua dived from the start of the rock, below the waves the sea was calmer and she swam with all speed towards the latest wreck interested to see more! However instead of finding jewels that day she found a man, the most handsomest man she had ever beheld. It was love for her at first sight but he was quickly loosing consciousness and in a split second Aqua had grabbed him and pulled him back to the surface. She swam through the the calming storm towards land and eventually pulled the man to safety.

Once on land she sat beside him and waited for him to awaken, it was there that her tail turned to legs for the first time Aqua was delighted now she could spend her days with her mystery love. However when he awoke and she declared her love for him, the man rejected her. Enraged Aqua returned to the sea, forever changed the moment she returned her dormant powers rose and she learnt she could control the water to an extent. Aqua spent the next few years leaning her art and then with the help of some of her sisters whom she had made effort to become friends with she managed to raise the very ship of the traitorous male.

Determined to find him no matter the cost Aqua became a pirate and using the bountiful treasures of the deep she bought herself a crew of male slaves. Not long after the battle for the title of Corsair queen Aqua met a dashing Reaver captain. Aqua took a shine to the man and most of all his position. She hid her own ship and became a member of Barabossa's crew over the next few years she wiggled her way into his trust and his bed where she learnt all sorts of delicious secrets. Then just a few months ago Aqua decided to stood, preparing a lavish meal for Barabossa's and a poisonous cup of wine she gave the captain a night to remember before vanishing. The next day Aqua and her ship appeared and she challenged him! Although Barabossa's was clearly the better fighter Aqua simply had to avoid his sword for long enough for the poison to affect him, using her hydromancy she bombarded him with water until he collapsed to the deck.

Barabossa's was actually impressed by her cunning plan, having worked out she had poisoned him, in a moment of weakness Aqua offers to spare him if he swears an oath of loyalty to her. Surprised he agrees and Aqua gains his lands and him as her second. Even now they still share a steamy night together. It's only been a few months since  Aqua became a Reaver but her admiration for Luck runs deep and she hope to impress the Corsair Queen.

I think you might be missing a few things. Are you sure that's the most recent version? I can see a few things missing...EG, one of her race based powers. :P

You might also want to check the size of those images, maybe shuffle the "Other Images" around a little so that they're not quite so intrusive. xD

Corvus "Crow" Reeds

Race: Human
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Gender: Male
Age: 25

Race-based Powers:

- Sea-Born Magic: Having studied at the Bretston Academy of Sorcery and under his father for over ten years, Crow has become adept in lightning, wind, and water-based magic.  Perhaps due to his Merfolk ancestry, his water-based magic is especially strong.  Due to his talent in these three areas of sorcery, his professors have commented that it was a shame and a pity that he was a half-breed and therefore limited in potential.  Otherwise, he could have been able to become one of the strongest sorcerers of his generation.  Still, with his natural limitations in mind and knowing he could never be as powerful as a fully human sorcerer, Crow pursued the path of sorcery by focusing on the three types of magic he was good at while eschewing all others.

- Pocket Compass (Focus): A compass that Crow carries around in his pocket and on a chain attached to his belt.  It was passed down to him by his father upon leaving the academy of sorcery to join the naval academy.

- Angler Fish Biology: Amphibious in nature, Crow possess both lungs and gills and therefore capable of breathing both in and out of water.  He's also highly resistant to extremely cold temperatures and has a highly-tuned sense of touch.  The hairs on his body are incredibly sensitive, capable of picking up the presence of others before he even sees or hears them.  This is especially noticeable while he's underwater or in water-based weather conditions, allowing him to navigate through such conditions without having to rely on sight or sound.  These senses combined with his knowledge of navigation allows him to practically predict the weather and sail through even the toughest of storms.  He normally wears heavy clothing in order to dull the sensations so as to avoid suffering from an overload of information to his brain.  He also possesses a set of sharp teeth, which helps with eating tough meat.  They have no other practical use except for maybe intimidating people.

- Reliance on Seawater (drawback): The Merfolk subspecies that Crow descended from require regular access to seawater.  Being submerged in freshwater will cause a severe allergic reaction that could lead to death if done for too long (over an hour, two hours tops).  If he goes without seawater for 24 hours, his strength will begin to dwindle and by the end of the second day, he'll become too drained of energy to even move a muscle.  By the end of the third day, he will die.  To regain his full strength, he will need to be submerged in seawater for one hour for each day he went without seawater.

- Luminescent Hair Antennae (drawback?): Crow has a single lock of hair or a hair antennae sticking out the top of his head that glows and changes shape and colour depending on his mood.  Whenever he's sad, it droops and glows blue.  When he's happy, it wags from side to side and glows yellow.  When he's angry, it spikes up and turns red.  When he's confused, it curves into a question mark and glows green.  When he's determined, it shapes into a lighting bolt and glows orange.  When he's in pain, it bends and turns purple.  Other than give away his mood and his position in the darkness, it... doesn't really do anything else.  It's barely bright enough to light up a few words in a book at a time.  A candle or lantern would be more efficient (and less straining on the eyes).  Crow will sometimes throw on his hood in order to hide his hair antennae.

Role: Navigator / Sea Artist of Arabella Cartwright "The Velvet Blade"
Faction: In Service To Reaver Captain Arabella Cartwright
Face Claim: Robin (Fire Emblem)

Player O/O's: My O/O's
Character O/O's: Same as above

Appearance:

Standing at approximately 5ft 10in and weighing around 160lbs, Crow has a sinewy and athletic build.  He has messy white hair and light brown eyes.  Due to his Angler Fish Merfolk ancestry, he has a lock of hair sticking out of the top of his head that changes shape and colour depending on his mood.  His teeth are also incredibly sharp and he has gills along the sides of his neck, owing to his Merfolk ancestry.  He's usually seen wearing a dark hooded traveling cloak.

Personality:

Normally an easy-going person with a carefree attitude and approach to things, he's a natural daydreamer and will usually be found with his head in the clouds or his nose in a book.  He sometimes has a tendency to be impatient and is the type to act before he thinks, which has gotten him into trouble more than once before.  If he unintentionally insults someone, he will display genuine regret, apologizing or offering to make it up to the offended party.  He makes an effort to be friendly to other people and displays loyalty to those he's closest to.  With an adventurous spirit, he's willing to give (almost) anything a try.

History Overview:

Nobody really knew why the former Naval Captain Dorado Reeds would take a mermaid pirate as his wife and retire to become a fisherman.  He had always been a bit of an eccentric, disobeying orders and doing whatever he felt like doing on a regular basis.  Many assumed it was because his wife, Aquila was just that beautiful.  Some speculated that it was to create a half-breed to further some secretive purpose.  His friends and family, however, knew that it was because the two fell in love.  No.  Really.  Those two had a happy and healthy relationship borne from sharing life and death adventures together.  Dorado Reeds was a capable sorcerer who was able to rival the Reaver Captains of his generation.  Many of his colleagues and subordinates joked about him being almost as bad as the pirates themselves.  It was only due to his powerful influence that his superiors overlooked his many indiscretions which included punching a superior officer for insulting a dead subordinate in front of said subordinate's grieving family.  He had also on more than one occasion teamed up with pirates in order to take down a greater foe.  He even recruited Aquila onto his crew on a whim, in spite of her being a former pirate.

Still, no one was prepared when Dorado decided to retire, settle down, and become a fisherman while starting up a family with his new wife.  Due to his long service in Bretston's navy, he was technically allowed to do that.  Before long, he and Aquilis had a son named Corvus, after a constellation that was out on the night Aquilis first announced her pregnancy and when they were picking out baby names.  The half-breed was born on a stormy night while the constellation of The Lady shined brightly overhead.  Her constellation of stars could be seen shining brightly above the thunderclouds in the horizon before the storm rolled into the coast of the port city.  His parents immediately knew that their child was a Seaborn.

Corvus, nicknamed Crow, had developed an interest for books at an early age.  It didn't take long before Dorado realized that his son had been reading his old sorcery text books.  He was more than happy to teach the young boy a few minor tricks and techniques, but didn't think much of it at the time.  The two continued to bond over magic as the former naval captain taught more and more about magic to his son.  Despite knowing that Crow could never become as powerful as a fully human sorcerer, Dorado enrolled him at an academy for sorcery.  No one thought it was a good idea, but he insisted on supporting and encouraging Crow's interest in learning sorcery.

Other than learning magic, Crow was also taught astronomy by his mother.  He got to learn the names of all the constellations in the sky while he was still young.  They even made a song about it.  Aquilis also taught her son how to swim and about sea life in general, including the various underwater currents they could take advantage of.  It was also his mother who taught him how to read the clouds and predict the weather.  Since they were now a fisherman family, the two parents also taught Crow the basics of sailing a ship, like how to tie a rope properly and how to read a sea chart.  While learning about the layout of the Corsair Sea, the young half-breed noticed that there was still a lot of ocean left to the west of the islands.  When he asked what was out there, his parents replied that nobody knew.  As far as most people were concerned, it was the edge of the world.  It was then that he declared that he was going to journey past the edge of the world to see for himself what was out there.

Crow was barely a teenager when he decided to transfer from the academy of sorcery and enroll at the Bretstan Naval Academy.  He was inspired by the heroic exploits of his parents and wanted to follow in their footsteps.  He also figured it would be a good way to get some experience traveling the Corsair Sea before tackling the edge of the world.  He and his parents had a long talk about it, but in the end he got his parents' support.  Around one year later, the Soliel Empire made their final push against what was left of the nation of Bretston.  Desperate to survive the imperial onslaught, the royal navy persuaded Dorado to come out of retirement and help defend the nation.  Not one to be left behind, Aquilis rejoined her husband's crew.  The two were able to reach out to their former crewmates and essentially get the band back together for one more adventure.  Unfortunately, the Imperial Navy overcame Bretston's defences and overtook the nation.  Dorado, Aquilis, and the rest of their crew went missing in action, though it was highly likely that they had died during the last attack.

The half-merfolk barely had time to comprehend what was going on when the naval academy had to be evacuated in light of the invasion.  With all of the Royal Navy's key locations captured, including the academy, Bretston was basically done as a nation.  With nothing left for him in Bretston, he decided to journey out to the Corsair Sea on his own.

For the past ten years, he had been making it as a pirate.  While his opportunities to study magic had dwindled due to lack of access to resources, he had plenty of opportunities to practice what he already knew in actual combat.  A couple months after he left Bretstan, he found his way onto the ship of the Reaver Captain Arabella Cartwright.  He worked as a cabin boy for nearly a year before his skills and talents as a sailing master became evident.  He became the apprentice of the ship's Sailing Master and continued his studies of navigation.  After proving his worth on the sea under Arabella's command, Crow became the Sailing Master of The Reaver Captain's new flagship, The Wavedancer.

Hey there, Deathnote! Interesting concept! I just have a few small niggles with the sheet.

1) The first one is that...while yes, artistic pictures are allowed, I specifically said that if they were too heavily anime-style or "Loud" and "vibrant," they wouldn't be allowed. The pictures of Robin from Fire Emblem are definitely too hyper-stylised for me to allow in the game. I allow anime-esque pictures....as long as they have a realistic slant to them, and your current pictures don't match that criteria. I'm afraid I'm going to have to insist that either you find more "Realism-inspired" pictures of Robin, or change the FC to match the general tone of the pictures being used by other people.

2)
Quote from: Deathnote on October 12, 2019, 12:47:34 AM- Sea-Born Magic: Having studied at the Bretston Academy of Sorcery and under his father for over ten years, Crow has become adept enough in lightning, wind, and water-based magic to be dubbed a "Sea-Born".

I'm afraid that's not what being "Seaborn" means. If you are Seaborn, it means you were born under a specific star, or at a specific time of year or under specific circumstances. It's kind of like a hyper-superstitious version of being a "Sagitarius," or being born in the middle of a storm at sea. That sorta thing. It isn't a title you "Earn" later on in life. You're either declared a Seaborn at birth, or you are not and can never be a "Seaborn."

3)
Quote from: Deathnote on October 12, 2019, 12:47:34 AM- Magical Cloak (Focus): A hooded magical cloak that Crow received from one of his professors upon leaving the academy to transfer over to the naval academy.  Upon turning the cloak into a focus, the cloak gained highly defensive properties including protection against the elements, sharp blades, and even gunfire.

That isn't how a focus works. Whilst a focus gains enhanced durability by dint of being a Focus, it doesn't gain "defensive properties" that automatically shield you. It can still be ripped, torn or broken by enough force, and the way you've written it kind of implies that it's an automatic, semi-sentient defence like Doctor Strange's cloak, which isn't how that works at all xD

4)
Quote from: Deathnote on October 12, 2019, 12:47:34 AM- Angler Fish Biology: Amphibious in nature, Crow possess both lungs and gills and therefore capable of breathing both in and out of water.

- Enhanced Physical Abilities: Contrary to how he looks, Crow is physically stronger, faster, and tougher than the average human.  While not as powerful as... say... the Former Reaver-Captain Barbossa, Crow is nonetheless more than capable of holding his own in a fight.  Any deficiencies in his sword techniques could be made up for with raw physical prowess.

Here's the problem. Half-breeds get two specific powers, and whilst you can be a little broad in one of them, like Luci's ability to travel as and summon lightning, you're starting to take the mickey a little. I mean, you're trying to get past the "two power limit" and have:

- Water Breathing
- Cold Resistance
- Spider-sense
- Water-based Echolocation
- Weather Sense
- Superhuman strength
- Superhuman agility
- Superhuman durability
- Superhuman speed

Like, that is a ridiculous list when the original criteria is "Half breeds get two powers." You need to be a bit more restrained and cut that list of powers down. Yes, I know that you have a couple of drawbacks, but because of the nature of the game, "24 hours without saltwater" and "drowning in fresh water" is not exactly going to be a problem when he spends most of his time on a ship sailing the ocean, is it? xD
You need to strip that list down and focus it a bit more. I would suggest nixing the superhuman physical abilities entirely, since your character does not strike me as a physical-based brawler, and he already has a decently powerful command of elemental magic in the first place. He has to be weak somewhere.

Is this a reference to his angler-fish thingy, or is this a separate thing? If the latter, how and why does his hair do this?

7)
Quote from: Deathnote on October 12, 2019, 12:47:34 AMHis teeth are also incredibly sharp and he has gills along the sides of his neck, owing to his Merfolk ancestry.

"Sharp teeth" should really be included in his powers description.

8)
Quote from: Deathnote on October 12, 2019, 12:47:34 AMCrow was barely a teenager when he decided to transfer from the academy of sorcery and enroll at the naval academy.

From future context, I assume you're talking about the Bretstan Academy?

9)
Quote from: Deathnote on October 12, 2019, 12:47:34 AMAround one year later, the Soliel Empire attacked the nation of Bretston.  Desperate to survive the imperial onslaught, the royal navy persuaded Dorado to come out of retirement and help defend the nation.  Not one to be left behind, Aquilis rejoined her husband's crew.

This isn't QUITE accurate. The Soliel Empire attacked before; they'd technically been off and on at war over the last hundred years, and about ten years ago was the final push attacking the last few cities that Independent Bretstan held. By about 20-ish years ago, The Empire already controlled most of the mainland, it was just a small holdout nation that remained.

If you can fix those issues, then the concept itself is intriguing and more than welcome. ^_^

Men in general judge more by the sense of sight than by that of touch, because everyone can see but few can test by feeling. Karas "Devileye" Morren

Race: Human
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Gender: Male

Race-based Powers:

Flintlock Pistol (Focus) - His focus often comes in the form of an unassuming flintlock pistol. It operates just like any other firearm.

Redeyes - His signature spell from which his nickname is derived from, this spell dilutes his pupils into disturbing crimson. His eyes outline selected targets on a spectrum only he can perceive and even under cover of a thick obscurant such as murky water or a smokescreen, he'll be able to perceive their outline through the obscurant. A significant drawback from using this spell would be when finished, his eyes will be temporarily blind for a few hours. In this timeframe, he'll have completely lost his visual sense. He's utilized this spell so many times that his eyes have permanently tinted red.

Powershot - Conventional mortal weaponry often lacks what it takes to disable a physically empowered enemy. This spell overcomes this by imbuing his bullet with magic. In combination with his focus gun, the bullet will have what it takes to penetrate through magically empowered armor and enemies of naturally high durability. A drawback would be the need to reload and though he often carries more than 1 firearm, he only possesses the single focus object. If an empowered bullet is fired from a gun that isn't his focus, it'll be a powerful conventional shot but won't be able to penetrate the magical defenses it is intended to penetrate.

Telekinesis - An experienced telekinetic mage his telekinesis is so potent that he is capable of utilizing it effectively in the heat of combat, being able to exert push-pull forces on lightweight objects ranging from tiny dining utensils to firearms. Objects with no resistance are manipulated with ease albeit requiring a degree of concentration from him and objects with resistance such as a gun held by an enemy would require strenuous effort to pull from their grasp depending on how tight their grip on the object is. He can only focus on a specific number of targets and is unable to manipulate too many objects because he'd then lose concentration on some and all objects would come crashing down like a row of dominos as a result.

Minor Pyrokinesis - Akin to a simple parlor trick, he can ignite a tiny flame on a single finger, the flame hot enough to light a candle or slowly burn through a piece of rope.

Role: Quartermaster / Sailing Master
Faction: Independent / In Service To Captain (TBD)
Face Claim: The Hunter (Bloodborne)

Player O/O's: Link to your O/O
Character O/O's: Feisty Submissives / Usual extremes

Appearance:

Slightly over 6 foot in height, he often dons thick dark military attire over his whole body including a black cloth face mask, leaving barely any skin exposed. His preference to cover himself up entirely such clothes has naturally led to much speculation about the person behind the clothes. Is he a man as he claims he is? He could be a she! Or he may not even be human!

However, in the moments when he does shed his clothes in the presence of others, he will reveal an olive-skinned body defined by an athletic broad-shouldered musculature of low body-fat, subsequently resulting in the appearance of shredded muscles that are hard as steel when tensed. His facial features involve a chiseled chin and high cheekbones, graced by crisp dirty-blonde hair and a set of full luscious lips. His eyes flicker between curiosity to sternness, his crimson "devileyes" making his gaze even more disconcerting when he sets it upon someone. His lower body is just as musclebound as his upper, his calves thick and hard. And if one wanders up slightly, his unsurprisingly dark loins belie a fiercely salient bulge...

He is by no manner of the word ugly but he nonetheless prefers to mask himself.

Personality:

His chosen attire reeks of reservedness but Karas is simply restrained. A rare devotee to professionalism amongst thieves and scumbags, he doesn't exactly adhere to a code of honor but rather does whatever is necessary for the sake of the job, a trait that has seen him become highly sought after by hundreds of captains. He'll speak his mind when he feels he should and hold his tongue when he feels he should. Anything that may cause personal detriment seems to be the only cause of provocation when it comes to Redeye Morren.

Despite the stoic exterior he presents, Karas is actually rather approachable though he doesn't exude a rookie's enthusiasm nor does he bust a smile all the time though that could be attributed to the fact that his face mask makes it impossible to tell whether what expression he's making. Those that get to know this individual will realize he's rather idealistic.

Karas has his own dreams to pursue and though he won't boast of such, he'll readily admit them those close to them because he's proud of having such dreams. These dreams are what drive the man and every waking second is spurred forth by the prospect of realizing them.

History Overview:

An unfortunate reality of such a cruel world is that the children are the true victims. Though his parents were deemed "heroes" of the Empire, Karas felt such accolades really lost their shine when a myriad of other kids your age also had "hero" parents.

His childhood spent under the state-sanctioned juvenile prison known as an Imperial Orphanage for orphans whose parents were "heroes", Karas's first treasure wasn't a teddy bear to spend the night nor a friend to giggle secrets with. Shorter than all the other boys, he was smart enough to hide from the bigger boys, oftentimes not even attending his dormitory for the bullying in orphanages was just that harsh.

The library was his solace and it was in the innumerable hours spent there, eating, sleeping and shivering there, that he met his first buddy: a geography book.

He'd always been taught the Empire was the world. So when he discovered there were lands beyond even the intricately drawn maps of the best Imperial cartographers, his imagination ignited like hellfire, consuming his soul in fiery passion.

Enlisting into the Imperial Naval Academy, he trained to become an officer and during his years in the academy, he one of the more excellent cadets of his cohort. His performance landed him a position as a junior officer in the Navy immediately upon graduation but progress stalled there.

The massive size of the Empire's Navy, composed of hundreds upon hundreds of warships, meant competition within the military was fierce especially when you had no strong familial connections to depend upon. Karas had the choice of either sucking it up and betting his hopes on the conventional route of work hard and hope to get noticed by a fair superior officer or bending the knee to a peer officer who had strong familial roots in the military so that he could piggyback on their despotism for his own gain.

He tried his best at the former, serving with distinction in the more dangerous waters of the Empire and beyond, accumulating an array of skills one can only gain from service. He attained the rank of Lieutenant and his magical combat skills were honed by the Navy, Karas becoming one of the multitudes of combat mages in the Empire's military. Yet, he still felt that the path up the ranks was grindingly slow and Karas's hunger for the world was greater than the limits of military bureaucracy.

With the skills he'd gain from the Navy, he deserted the Imperial military knowing full well that if he got caught, it would be a life of penal slavery or the death penalty for him. Relying on his wits to get him through society unnoticed, his 2nd committed crime after desertion was grand theft ship. Venturing through the incredibly vast realm that was the Soliel Empire until he reached the borders of the Corsair Sea, the journey an adventure on its own.

From there, the magnitude of his actions finally dawned upon him. But at the same time, he realized he had nothing to lose. He wanted this and he'd chosen this path. There was no turning back.

Offering up his services as a sellsword pirate, his Navy experience lent well to his survival aboard a pirate vessel. On land, the 25-year-old Karas Morren played the role of a mysterious and ruthless bounty hunter, relinquishing whatever oath he once swore to protect the people and embarking on a life of crime worth the death penalty a hundredfold, his moniker "Devileye" distinguishing him above other sellswords in the realm. And, just as he predicted, piracy proved to be his ticket into the Corsair Sea.

Another step closer to his dreams...

I think the only issues are his powerset, personally. The magic gun and eye thingy is intriguing and unique, though I feel like the pyromancy and Aeromancy is a bit removed from his previously established focus? Those are very powerful abilities, after all. Hmmm... Remove Aeromancy and pyromancy, and increase the potency of his telekinesis. Not absurdly, but having such strong abilities would mean that the rest of his magic is rather weak. Maybe small, basic pyrokinesis and aerkinesis, but not the powerful abilities you picked. Get rid of the elemental abilities and increase the potency of his other three abilities

Also, what do you mean his gloves are magical? You didn't really elaborate on that xD

Lerra Roktha, "The Ice Reaver"

Race: Half-Breed (Frost Giant)
Sexual Orientation: Lesbian
Gender: Futanari/Shemale
Race-based Powers:

Icebound Fortitude - The temperature of Lerra's body and the air around her drops dramatically, freezing her blood and bones and stiffening her skin, making her body nearly impervious to physical harm. In addition, any external physical objects that get close are frozen and made brittle, shattering easily, even freezing water and allowing her to walk on it. This effect is incredibly taxing on her body, potentially fatal if maintained for too long as her organs shut down from decreased blood flow. Any wounds that she managed to acquire will also begin to bleed as her body returns to normal, possibly resulting in shock from sudden blood loss depending on the extent of the wounds.

Blood of Giants - The blood of the Frost Giants pumps through her veins, granting naturally increased physical strength and stamina equivalent to 3 strong humans, as well as extreme resistance to ice, snow and sub-zero temperatures, but vulnerable to fire and extreme heat. Her vision is unhindered by snow.

Role: Crew Member- Quartermaster/First Mate aboard The Gravewalker
Faction: In Service to Corsair Queen Lucilla
Face Claim: Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower
O/O's: https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?topic=272146.msg13390763#new

Appearance:
Lerra is tall and striking, standing at 6’5” in height with a well-toned frame. Her curves are more subtle, but still no less alluring. She sports pale colored hair, ranging from blonde to white depending on lighting and temperature, some of it usually pulled into a pony tail that hangs just past her shoulder line, along with icy blue eyes. She is usually seen wearing a leather long coat and tri-corner hat, with black gloves and leather boots, along with an assortment of other clothing under the coat depending on various factors. She doesn’t wear much, if any sort of make-up or face paint, but when she does it is subtle. Those that have been lucky enough (or unlucky enough, depending on the circumstances) will know that, though her body is decidedly female, she possesses a rather impressive set of male genitals.

Personality:
Lerra is an amalgamation of the worst and best things about the Corsair Sea made manifest. She is ruthless and cruel, but loyal and passionate. Her typical demeanor is one of stoicism, unflinching in the face of the worst situations. She is fiercely loyal to her crew, her Queen and those that serve under. Despite her penchant for physicality, underestimating her intelligence has been a fatal flaw to many opponents. Though slow to trust, earning it pays dividends one cannot imagine.

She takes her role of Quartermaster seriously and does not compromise. She runs the day-to-day operations aboard the Gravewalker, distributes loot among the crew per the Captain’s instructions, and is the primary contact for messages going to and from the Gravewalker, so it behooves the Reaver-Captains to remain on her good side. She takes orders from nobody except Queen Lucilla, acting as bodyguard, assassin and confidant.

She doesn’t talk about herself much, though the crew of the Gravewalker often enjoys poking fun at her by bringing up the rumor she is in love with Reaver-Captain Isabella, which she mostly tries to ignore, never confirming or denying it.

History Overview:

In the furthest reaches North, in a place often refereed to as the Spine of the World, is a land of bitter cold and endless snow. Jagged mountains and deep crevasse snake their way through the bleak landscape. Within this inhospitable land, rarely traveled by humans, resides Gallenthral, the city of the Frost Giants. It’s towering buildings of ice and stone casting an oppressive shadow across the frozen land. It was here where Lerra was born and where her life under the tyranny of the Frost Giant’s began. Hatred, torment and war was her every day life as a child. A half human being born to a Frost Giant mother was anathema, and they made sure she knew it. Even her mother, though not as bad as the others, was not easy on her. One day, when out with a hunting party, she slipped and fell into a crevasse. Her party simply watched and sneered at her holding on for her life until she finally fell into the blackness below.

She woke some time later to the feel of fire. Covered in a blanket inside a frozen cave, she found herself in the company of a woman; a human hunter and her wolf companion. They had saved her and brought her there. Lerra spent the next several years traveling with her, learning from her, being trained by her. She helped Lerra come to terms with both sides of herself, even discovering how to use her heritage to become a juggernaut in battle. She had never felt more in control. It all came crashing down when their camp was raided in the night by a group of Fire Giants, an advance party before an attack. They fought well, but the sheer strength of giants was too much for the huntress. In the end, they killed her and her wolf companion, though Lerra managed to flee. She intended to warn the others, warn the city, but by the time she returned, she couldn’t bring herself to enter. She had spent her whole life trying to please them, to be accepted as one of them, but if she learned anything from the huntress, it was never apologize for who you were. With that decision made, she turned her back on the city and headed south, toward more temperate climates and the Corsair Sea.

Over several years, she became infamous as a Pirate Hunter, not out of any sense of duty or righteousness, but simply because it payed the best. That is, until she ran into Lucilla Gale. Taking a bounty for the Corsair Queen seemed, if nothing else, a good test of her skills. And in no small words, it pushed her to the very limit, which forced a tactical retreat. Though she had turned her back on her people, she still held certain aspects, such as a respect for strength and leadership. It took some time to find Lucilla’s ship again, but when she did, she didn’t attack this time. Instead, she asked to join her. Understandable suspicious, Lucilla put her to a test, ordering her to deal with a navy Admiral that had been harassing Mendoza. She felt it was probably a task she was never meant to come back from, but surprised everyone when she came sailing in on the navy ship alone, the bodies of the crew massacred and the Admiral’s head impales on the mast with her sword. She knelt before Lucilla and pledged her eternal loyalty to her new Queen.

She has spent the last three years earning Lucilla's trust and the respect of the crew to attain her current position, never swaying from her duties and always dependable.

@Vergil Tanner - Okay, he’s a squishy wizard-type now. :p

Are the new pictures okay or should I keep searching?

Also, am I allowed to have Crow be Seaborn and if so, would his parents know about it right away?

Vergil Tanner

You can have him be Seaborn, yes, as long as he matches what a Seaborn actually is...and yeah, they would have known immediately because "Seaborn" refers to either the circumstances of his birth (EG, a Storm) or being born under a specific "Star," which is something they'd instantly know.

As for the pictures, the right hand one is ok, but the left one is horrific and almost uncanny-valley-esque, so I'd need you to find a better one xD

Okay, swapped out the 3d one for a different portrait-type picture.  Also, moved the one that was on the right to the left, mostly because I think it looks better that way.

Hmm... Crow was named after the Corvus constellation, though... maybe the two constellations were close together and both shining brightly that night?
