As the title says I'm looking for a GM and Group to play some Shadow of the Demon Lord.

As D&D and PF are popular here in regards to system gaming, I'm more partial to this version of the d20 rule set. It feels less clunky with main stats being Strength, Agility, Intellect and Will and rolls and modifiers just overall feeling better, where a mod is equal to your stat -10 (so Str 12 has a +2 modifier, a Will of 9 has a -1 modifier) and to pass a roll you need to get 10+ on a d20 roll. Nice, smooth and simple, with boons and banes (rolling a d6 and adding or removing the total) added in to make things more interesting.

The setting of SotDL for those that don't know is set on a world called Urth, which is somewhat similar to a dung ages D&D world in setting, being somewhat grimdark, having recently had an Orc uprising overthrown the main ruling Empire of the lands. The main issue is that a Godly being known as the Shadow Lord is pushing through cracks in reality his demon forces are slowly making worse in an attempt to swallow up Urth for reasons. If the Shadow Lord makes it into reality, it's the end as it is beyond an Adventurer party's means or any living things means to fight against, so the main goal is to stop or delay the Shadow Lord coming through in the first place. Usually by stopping or surviving against it's agents, whoever or whatever they may be.

If you enjoy Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying's level of grimdark dung ages fantasy roleplaying though wanted a generally smooth d20 system that retains a feel similar to 5th edition D&D, this game may be for you.

Let me know down below if you have an interest in running or playing this system.

Just happened to see this, and just have to say that Shadow of the Demon Lord is an amazing system!  Lot of fun, while being very easy to run.

And should a group be forming, I am very much interested in joining, if you would have me.

Tentative interest, though I don't know it well enough to say I'd GM. Going to keep an eye on the thread, at least. ;) And maybe glance through the book a bit. Some fun dark magic options. *nod*

Xurtan, if you get a chance, check out Occult Philosophy.  It's a major expansion of the magic system for the game.  New classes, spells, etc.  And it details all the way up to Power 10!
