A tantric kiss is easy.  Close Cumulative Affliction resisted and overcome by will, Entranced, Compelled and Incapacitated, Paralyzed or Transformed for the third level.  2 points per rank, so 20 for having it at rank 10.  Fun features to add include Subtle if it's just a touch and not a big mouth kiss, as well as Insidious, not realizing they've been attacked.

That works.. So I got snare, the kiss, blast (added variable.)

Two relics.. the cloak and armor.

Still got about 4 points.  Trying to think of some more kinky magic spells.. (like stripping their clothing off them. :D )

She likes to use props like a top hat and wand to distract her foes from her magics true source.

Background: During  the recent battle she lost her gear and was nearly helpless, an ally offered her a way to help. He neglected to mention that it was change her from a guy to a girl, or that it would involve magic powered by sexual energies. She, reluctantly, worked with her ally to generate the energy and set about turning the tide of battle. In the process revealing her change from Hero to Heroine. She'd like to go back but it's harder and harder to not use her new magical gives over the old utility belt and bow. The more magic she uses, the more.. 'minimal' her costume gets.

You don’t even need Variable.  Just buy close Damage at the highest rank you want for a weapon and take Variable Descriptor 1 to let it do slashing, piercing and bludgeoning.  Summoning different ones is just the special effect.  If it’s an innate power, you could take the -1 Quirk “can be disarmed, Move action to summon another.”  Or not, and just say they never get disarmed.  If it’s a bracelet or weapon summoning cloak, buy it as Removable instead of Easily Removable as a handheld weapon would be.

Would expanded crit chance with all Close attacks be a 2 point per rank power, you think? Or should it be a flat 1 cost add-on per point of extended crit range, to a max of 16-20? I want it to apply to the summoned weapons... or wait, I suppose the would technically count as one weapon for the purpose of the crit range advantage...

Exactly, it's one attack under the system, so it'd be the standard advantage cost, 1 point per rank.

Did I miss anyone?

I was thinking of joining if it's not too late. I was either thinking of playing some kind of speedster or revamping an old character from a previous M&M game. Said old character is Solar Flare, a NASA scientist energy controller who specializes in heat and light. Was thinking that my speedster may be like the Arrowverse's Flash and has a "scientific" origin/background so may be good in more cerebral/technology skills too.

Making sure not to step on anyone's toes role-wise if that makes sense.

Had a breakthrough idea for the nanotechnology armor character... she’s a technopath, able to sense and control machines with her mind, allowing her to shape and direct the mar or in ways no one else could.  Pretty nerdy and asocial, the incident was a real awakening about what she’d been missing.  Since then, she’s been configuring the armor in more and more exposed ways... the coverage was more for style and modesty, since a force field provides the protection.

So I figured for ease of discussion I can give an outline on what Jetstream is capable of for newbies/those unfamiliar to the system:


  • Move up to 120 miles in a single move action, or 64,000 MPH (or 103,000 km/h)
  • Can either punch someone a bunch of times as a Damage 10 attack. If her Close Combat roll exceeds an enemy's Defense by at least 5, it becomes 12 damage. If exceeds by 10 or more, 15.
  • Can snap her fingers at fast speeds to generate a Sonic Boom, as a cone AoE with a height, width, and length of 60 feet (30 feet on a level surface). A DC 20 Fortitude save is required to resist/overcome it, and can inflict conditions which interfere with enemy's action economy (dazed/stunned/incapacitated)
  • Can move around in tight circles to suck the air out of an area as a Vacuum, imposing speed-draining and debuffs on rolls (Fatigued, Exhausted, Incapacitated). The Affliction is Cumulative, meaning further failures impose worse levels of Condition (Fatigued to Exhausted, Exhausted to Incapacitated)
  • Can rapidly disarm all targets of her choosing in a 120 foot burst radius via a single disarm check
  • As long as she is moving, Jetstream can run up vertical surfaces, across bodies of liquid, and gains Concealment from visual senses (fun fact: the human eye IRL can only reliably see objects moving up to ~33,000 mph). She can also make mini-cyclones in mid-air to generate "air brakes" and fall safely from great heights.
  • In lieu of using her default Speed, Jetstream can instead generate a cyclone to move objects weighing 1,600 lbs individually in a 30 foot radius; or scout around in a 60 mile radius via "Remote Sensing" as a move action, provided she can physically reach said areas with her Speed.
  • In lieu of using her default Quickness, Jetstream can rapidly build an object up to 1,000 cubic feet in size, provided that the required materials are at hand within her Speed rank. She can also use her Inventor advantage to create a device via the Technology skill which is good for one scene.
  • For skills and utility her Well-Informed advantage allows her to use Investigation to quickly ascertain information about various characters. Her Jack-of-all-Trades advantage effectively allows her to use any Expertise skill at +5 bonus (Intelligence), making her an amateur omnidisciplinary scientist.
  • Via Agile Feint, can use her +15 Speed to mislead an opponent as a standard action vs. their own Deception or Insight, potentially rendering them Vulnerable against her next attack until the end of her next round.
  • Can take a hit meant for an ally within 120 miles as a reaction, making herself the target of the attack instead.

Let's go with the team, say a branch of the Avengers in (Campaign City).  I like the idea of a California team, as it's not heavily populated with supers and the weather is nice enough to not wear much, much of the year. :)  Plus, the heroes can know each other well enough to appreciate how they've changed.   We could have a couple of canon NPCs who aren't around much after the incident too. :)

Penthouse tower HQ (nude sunbathing on the roof!), or one on an artificial island in the bay?

I'm also thinking my character found a piece of very advanced technology or a fragment of same, like a weapon from Kang's army, and her technopath abilities were able to adapt it into a power suit.

I am playing with two ideas: 

Heroine who can fly and possibly shoot energy beams.
Heroine who is a super tough martial artist.

Not sure which one I am going with yet.  I love the idea of flying and being super tough, maybe incorporate them together.

Idea: D&D style monk with some ranks in fly, with the limit that they have to land every turn, or every other turn. “Wouldn’t leap be better?” you ask. Possibly. But how else are you gonna double jump and bamboozle em?

You could take Leap and one rank of Flying with Levitation to have a second spot to jump off of in mid-air, or just a Feature to allow you to do it.  Flight, "has to land this turn/next turn" would be a -1 cost per rank, so the same as Leap too.

Here's the (probably final) writeup, still need to do name, fill out her background and define complications.  She's a flying blaster.  Her motif is that she found an advanced weapon (or part of one), possibly possibly a future blaster from Kang's army (able to morph into different weapons, adjust to different shaped soldiers and with gravity technology for recoil compensation) and repurposed it into a suit of powered armor.  The base form is a palm-sized module that sticks to her chest over her bust and morphs out from there.  There's a streamlined backpack, like Senketsu from Kill La Kill and wrist and ankle bands, high tech pasties and bikini bottom (but only in front) for now, along with headphones linked by a holographic band HUD.  It grows and changes to form a wide range of weapons... blasters, cannon, missiles.  It has a force field (So it doesn't need to cover everything and anti-gravity flight.  It's based on a gun, so it's not much for close combat and doesn't actually have the usual super strength of a power suit, though she can use it to lift 25 tons with a tractor beam.

Her techno-path abilities let her perceive technology, even through walls and such, and the Move Object aspect lets her manipulate any technology she can perceive.  That's also the special effect as to how she can use her suit the way she does.

Apropos of nothing, she's extremely busty. :)

She's an omnidisciplinary scientist and trivia expert like Jetstream and has the best possible technology skill at Power Level 10.
