Murder and Mystery at a Macabre Manor [M lf F]

Dear lady/-ies,

I am in the market for a gritty fantasy roleplay involving family feuds and secrets, political intrigue, violence, witchcraft, monsters, curses, bad romance and of course some steamy scenes. The post is compartmentalised for ease of reading. Should something not be clear, feel free to contact me.


I. Story Pitch:
Ulloden Manor was a palisade hold formerly owned by Lord Iserad, last of the rulers of Fortriu.

The land ruled from Ulloden Manor was full of cavernous hills and bogs and pine barrens, thick with deciduous trees and evergreens like sentinels and soldier pines. Moss-covered, ancient ruined strongholds could be found throughout the region. Ulloden Manor itself is perched atop elven ruins. Though the elves themselves may have been long gone, the wilderness was far from empty. The domain itself was practically deprived of most natural resources, save for a few tin and copper mines which had largely been abandoned. It contained a great deal of forests, wetlands and cultivated woods, though a large part of it was covered in swamps and bogs. The land was gentle enough in places, rolling hills and terraced fields interspersed with meadows and woodlands and little valleys where willows crowded close to slow shallow steams, but still there were many mires and swamplands, and old dark forests where few folk dared tread and mystery lay as thick as the fog.

Ulloden housed a small community of maybe a hundred souls, who, like most smallfolk, they subsisted primarily on agriculture, crafting and animal husbandry. They eked out a modest living before the war set the world ablaze, and have only just held on after. Its people were killed, raped and hanged – all the worst things imaginable. All these sufferings only added to the misery the locals had to live through. Iserad, too, felt the deathly hand of war. He fled to a remote tower in the middle of a lake, thinking it offered him and his family safety. Disaster nevertheless struck.

A horrible curse had befallen Clyke Isle and the tower that stood upon it. Iserad had moved his court there, seeking shelter from approaching armies. While famine raged all around, the lord of Fortriu wallowed in excess and cared not a whit for his suffering vassals. Iserad and his family were murdered and now it is said the tower is haunted though none exactly know what happened. It is said the gods saw fit to punish him and, towards this end, cursed him. One day, a host of rats scurried into the tower and proceeded to devour everything, including Iserad, his court and his residents. The isle had been haunted since that day, and fishermen feared to sail the lake, putting yet another dent in the already battered local economy.

As former Lord Iserad's seat, the village clinging to the castle walls benefitted from the protection of a low moat and outer palisade wall. Furthermore, one could only gain access to the town itself by riding or walking across a shoddily constructed wooden bridge which connected the holdfast to the main road.

After the death of Iserad and the ravaging of his estate, forgotten horrors reared their heads. Now the old truths no longer hold true, people look for even older ones. Something wicked is afoot, as personal interests escalate into vendettas.  People increasingly take matters into their own hands, and seek the protection in ancient superstitions and patronage of nefarious spirits. No longer protected by gods or masters, they must seek their own.

Iserad and his own kin enjoyed a humble keep. Built mostly in red brick and situated at the very top of the hill, it had afforded the lord a picturesque view of his lands in happier times and ample warning in more dangerous ones. The days when it was new and in full repair, though, were a distant memory now. The fortress is rundown and dilapidated - a symbol of the state of things.

Someone must impose order, and quickly, or chaos will grip the land for decades to come. Who that someone is... well, that remains to be seen.


II. Who am I looking for?:
An erudite, dedicated female writer wanting to play a female opposite one or several of my characters. Keep in mind that this is merely one story pitch. I am available and looking for talented writing partners who are up for working out an intriguing tale with me. For example, how are our characters involved in this enigmatic event? What truly befell the old masters of Ulloden Manor? If you have a suggestion of your own, make it.

Who and what am I exactly looking for? A (kinky) female writer of daring disposition, someone who is not scared of describing adult themes. An ambitious female keen on and capable of crawling into the brain of one (or several) character(s). I am looking for story and smut in somewhat equal measure and quality, though for me story usually takes precedence. Without a salacious story there can’t be salacious smut. My writing partner is someone who is preferably available over Discord (PM me) to discuss the plotline, hooks and characters. Who has at the very least glossed over my o/Os and preferences or other Request Threads. And, who is a proficient and prolific writer, unafraid of grey morality, explicit and passionate descriptions, love and pain both, grim tales, ... The RP itself would unfold on the forums.

Based on medieval folklore (Germanic, Celtic, Slavic,…) and dark fantasy, this RP is set to explore some of the more sordid themes. Sources of inspiration are legion, but chief among them would be the world of the Witcher.


III. Practical notes:
Let me cover the practical stuff. Hopefully the next segment won’t come across as too coarse. If it appears blunt, it is for clarity’s sake. Never fear, ladies  As a gentleman, I do have manners.

• Communication:
  Communication is key! To that end I ask for contact details, be it Discord or Skype. Initial greetings and introductions over PMs is all well and good, but a collaborative experience like this benefits from a chat service. The past has taught me that OOC chatter and an extra channel of communication hugely improves the RP. I am eager to hear from you! Particularly when hammering out our character pairing and dynamic. It all adds ease, fluidity and spontaneity to brainstorming, discussion, etc. Merely corresponding over PMs is good but not good enough. However, actual RP would take place on the forum.
  

• Post length:
  A writer who can produce quality posts of 400 words and up. Obviously, word count will vary per post, and is subject to character interaction, situation in the story, etc. Nevertheless, I think 400 – 500 indicates a decent average. My own posts usually cap around the 700-word range, but descriptive or introductory posts can grow to over double that. Check out my posts should you like an example of my writing, style and tastes.
  

• Frequency:
  I try to get a post out at least once a week. Life can be hectic, I’m more than aware. The next bit ties in with communication. I am quite patient as long as you keep me in the loop. I tend to post at least once a week (two at the most), and I expect the same to maintain my interest in the game. If you simply aren't able to post to our game, I'd love it if you'd let me know. If you'd like to terminate the RP, there will be no hard feelings. If something isn’t working out or you’d like a change, just let me know.
  

Conclusion:
In any case, my ideal partner should be available for brainstorming plot, pairings and characters. While I can provide barebone concepts or pairings, I would much rather hear suggestions and proposals. Where do you want to play? Who? What sort of character? These questions and more I would love to iron out via IM. Let's talk. The goal is to weave a tale that belongs to both of us, as opposed to me dictating the ensemble.
