Game:  Force and Destiny: Wardens

 • Section the Game will be placed in and whether it is a system game or not.

System: Exotic Non-Con.  This will be using the Force and Destiny system released by Fantasy Flight Games.

 • Who is the RP open to? (Gender, Sexuality, etc..?)

Any and all.

 • Short Summary of Player Roles and General Story/Plot.

Players will take the role of Wardens.  These are Jedi Knights that have agreed to enter extended sleep on the planet of Belsalvis, awakened only when dangerous individuals successfully escape from the prison-planet.  The story will revolve around the characters waking up during a massive prison escape.  Elements of the story will involve investigation, dramatic combat and being forced to deal with an era that not only does not recognize Jedi but vilifies them.

 • Setting.

The time frame for the game will be at the Dawn of Rebellion.  This is around the time of Rogue One and Rebels in the Star Wars universe.  Characters will do a great deal of travel but will have a home base of a ship and Belsalvis.  I am open to the characters extending their operations in terms of new bases, joining the Rebellion or even the Empire if they are so inclined but those are in character decisions and plot points.

 • Plot Outline.

Much of this idea came from the Friday the 13th series I used to watch as a child.  Where a pair of supernatural investigator types would track down evil artifacts.  Simply in this case those artifacts are former residents of Belsalvis that are Sith.  The characters will largely begin their journey tracking down, apprehending and returning said prisoners to their cells.  There will also be a greater arching plot involving the origins and conspiracy of the mass escape.

 • Character creation info/guidelines if any.

Characters must be Jedi.  Each character was selected during the time of the Old Republic for this position and so each must start with a Force and Destiny career.  Note cross-speccing into a non-force career is fine so long as the initial is a Force and Destiny career.  Part of the fun, I believe, will be the jarring culture shock of the characters having to venture forth into an Empire controlled setting.  Characters will also start at Knight-Level.  This is an additional 150xp given after character creation.  Players may also select whether the character has 10,000 credits starting or a light-saber.

I also would like to keep the race selection to the official books.  I understand people like the menagerie choices, but I find some of them extremely unbalanced and would just like to avoid the situation.

 • Required Resources (If any) (If a system game - What books(ver.) or links to information needed such as an online guide or wiki?)

None.  I have access to all the books and there are plenty of online references to gain familiarity.  I will work with anyone that does not know or understand the system so long as they are willing.

 • Game Pacing.

My hope is to use a style outlined in Dawn of Rebellion where each character gains the equivalent of an "episode" along with the general plot having two or three during a "season."

 • How much sexual activity is likely to occur or expected, if any?

There will be sexual themes and I am certain that Jedi Knights will have certain liberties now that the temple and command structure is gone.  Still I do not anticipate entire scenes of sex.  I will, if need be, create alternate threads for such things to play out so that the main game is not bogged down.

 • Whether tagging will be used or not.

I find this to be a useful tool.
Game Master Info / GM(s) Participation Level (If/where applicable)

 • Will there be a Co-GM?

No.

 • How guided will the play be(sandbox, directed etc)?

There is an over-arching plot and theme.  I am open to players being creative and offering ideas they want to see incorporated.  The structure is open.

 • What extent will players be allowed to create/use environment or setting details?

Encouraged.

 • How NPC's will be handled. (If any) - (By GM and/or players, and what expectations)

If a player wants to play out a NPC then simply let me know.  NPCs though are not made with the same rules as PCs, so be advised this will not be another character under the player's control.

 • How active will the GM be?

I intend and hope to be quite active.  Obviously life has its ways.

 • Will there be an OOC thread? (expectations of thread usage)

There will be.  I intend for the thread to be for player discussion of events in game, events affecting their ability to play and so forth.

 • How to contact/approach GM with questions? (use OOC thread, direct PM, etc...)

General questions are fine in the OOC thread.  Problems involving the GM and other players should be handled in private.  PM is always the best if a player is uncertain.

 • How will decisions be resolved?

Case by case basis.  When able I do not mind allowing players to vote or decide.

 • Will PvP be allowed (if applicable)?

I am not in favor of PvP.  If two players really want this form of interaction, I will give it consideration.
Additional:

 • Player Oath "Oath of the Drake" or some other reminder of player responsibilities in a group game.

I would like people to read over this oath.

 • A note to Respect Other players (Offs etc..)

This is strictly enforced by me.  Any violation please alert me and if need be the admins.

 • Player Participation Expectations. (Posts/week expected. Methods for reporting a possible absence/The method used to remove drop-outs from the game.)

A post every two or three days should be sufficient.  I would like to note that if combat is occurring, I reserve the right to "act for you" if your absence or lack of posting is holding up the game.  The initiative of the game allows for people to be very flexible so a player will have ample time to respond.  I guarantee that if I act for you it will be an appropriate action and will place your character in as little danger as possible.

 • Discuss how new players will be brought into the game (if the game is already running.)
[
If new blood is required then they will awaken as Wardens in other areas of the prison.

Certainly interested, love playing jedi and the rebels era is one of the more interesting ones! I'll need to take a quick check and see if I have that book!

Voidknight

Unfortunately it would seem that the only two books I have are Edge of the Empire and Fly Casual, thinking perhaps then maybe something of a reformed smuggler type of character? Always had a reasonably soft heart when it was discovered they had force sensitivity and/or were shown the damage what they were doing did- mended their ways as they joined the order?

Alternately, perhaps an escaped slave from the Hutts?

I'm thinking in essence someone who came to the jedi a little later, with some piloting skills, meaning I'll get to lean more on the books I do have?

Pumpkin Seeds

I can help you out if you like.

Muse

Oh, wow. *pounces*  May i play Pumpkin?  I always love your games.

Silim

Any more room for another Jedi Consular?

Oh also, the trees of the new book are out, two of which are Padawan and Knight for the Jedi career. Might be fun choices too for us, but we sadly don't have anything but rather crappy photographs of the trees yet (they're on the official FFG forums).

Thunder Splash

Is Jawa a race in the books? Because I have a jawa Jedi I have wanted to play for ages if it is.

Voidknight

Huh, no Miraluka, was always a fan of them, was a nice little bonus when they were in TOR. I'm leaning towards either a human, twilek or Zabrak seeker or sentinal at the moment. (I'm decisive!)

Aenon

I was thinking of making a computers/mechanic char, but I could also make a fighter/pilot if that one is taken (?)

Pumpkin Seeds

I need to sit down and make a list of what little are trying to make.

LSWSjr

Keen to finally give this system a chance and just found someone with the books. Any advice, suggestions or gaps that need filling?

Cheers

Meet Hanta Yo, a M'shento'su'Nikto, or Southern Nikto

I'm thinking either Seeker (Hunter) as a scout or a Sentinel (Artisan) as a rehabilitation counsellor.

Thunder Splash

I’ll need to look at the careers more but I’m feeling some sort of weapons master type Jedi. Heavy focus on lightsaber and martial combat.

Captain Whitebread

Each career has its own lightsaber specialist

Thunder Splash

At a cursory glance I’m leaning towards warrior shii-cho Knight.

Aenon

@Captain Whitebread tell me when you decide which one you will make, I don't want to make a second artician :P
