Stranded

Edit:
Both ICs are launched.

Caged Delights
Big Tree Blues

With only eachother and their wits, will our heroes triumph over the island--or will it triumph over them?

This will be a  <_Non-Con Exotic_>  game.

Fast FAQs

  • Pace: 72hrs without an IC post or OOC post requesting more time will result in Character Control occurring (I promise to look out for the physical well being of your character within reason).  Should you drop out, I will assume complete control of your character.
  • All Welcome: Crossplay/Queer/etc characters are welcome.
  • Main Fetishes: NonCon, Breeding, DubCon, Monster Sex (non-Furry)
  • Tagging: Tagging will be used, including GM tagging; if I need to do something or you take an action that alters the world state in some way (i.e. lighting something on fire) tag me too.
  • Smut: Sex has mechanical benefits\ramifications\risks, so you can expect it to occur with some regularity.  Level of detail is up to parties involved.  If it's getting to more than 2 or 3 posts per coitus, I recommend a "moment out of time" Solo\pm thread to fully enjoy the scene without the time pressure/
  • On\Offs: While I will be perusing your O\Os to be check any content I introduce, there will be OOC Consent sections on the character sheet so that other players will be able to easily reference acceptable encounters.  This is for everyone's benefit and in the interests of having a good time, my apologies if anyone considers this redundant.
  • General Setting: Medium magic fantasy world, gunpowder cannons, generally medieval.

Concept
A small group of people have booked passage across the sparsely landed Sambura Sea for various reasons, becoming by now (halfway through the trip) on at least a first name basis with each other.  The lands to the east and west are far apart and of diversified natural resources, making trade profitable--but the Sambura Sea is volatile and filled with threats ranging from piracy to the forces of Nature herself.

The game opens as everyone wakes up on the shore after a terrible storm struck the boat.  Play begins amidst the wreckage.

This game is intended to have a brisk-but-measured pace of one post a day to one post per three days.  There will be a central plot and mystery to the island, so this won't be a totally direction-free sandbox, but you will be free to go anywhere at any time.  If you wind up in Combat Alone(tm), I shall likely offload processing that event to another thread or PMs, but I shall not bar you from taking this course of action.

There will be a focus on the sexual ecology of the world and island.  The Goblin Slayer Inspiration is largest here.  You'll need to keep your wits about you, plan things out, and have a bit of luck to avoid becoming part of some fucked up shit this wild magical island has going on.

There will be an emphasis on survival.  Some light mechanics have been introduced re-resting to spice this up but by-and-large, I will either run off the books or play it by ear.

I anticipate that by level three the adventure on the island will be wrapped up with some degree of satisfaction.  If the players wish to continue and perhaps have nautiCool adventures we will open a Sequel Game(tm), assuming you find a way off the island that is.  In short there's a definite sunset and conclusion to this adventure, but it may not be the end for these characters.

Fluff

General Lore
Religion and Society
Greater Gods are considered to exist, but whether they are thinking sentient intelligence or raw forces of nature is an open question.  They have one Domain and a variety of religions worship them or incorporate them somehow into their pantheon\version of the world.  Accounts of their appearances are rare and far between.  They are casually referred to by their singular domain, i.e. one might invoke Light or War or the Forge generically.  They have no Alignment.

Lesser Gods are considered to either be very powerful entities that got too full of themselves after gaining immortality/massive power, conduits\versions of the Greater Gods, Saints of the Greater Gods, truly smaller deities with less power but more personality than Greater Gods, or some combination thereof.  They tend to take definite form and their appearances are the matter of historical record, and not so uncommon as to be unbelievable.  They can have multiple Domains, and they have Alignment.

Paragons are Lesser Gods who embody a certain alignment strongly.  They are worshiped by the particularly debauched or morally staunch.  Unique amongst Gods are their "facets," allowing them each to grant every Domain's spells.  They lack any particular influence over these Domains in the world however, their main influence being in driving people towards their socio-moral codes.

Gunpowder is commonly deployed for siege warfare and ship-to-ship combat, but is considered too expensive and finicky for personal weapons to mass-issue to troops when magic users exist.  Some eccentric\wealthy individuals possess them.

Tieflings and Fiends are derided as Hellspawn.  Where they come from, how they get here, and where they go when they die are matters of theological speculation and deep secretive lore--or shameful village secrets.  Tieflings will generally be abandoned out of shame unless born of another tiefling.

Demographics tend to be stagnant or hostile-shifting in regions that are not major trade lanes.  Along major trade lanes, especially giant port cities, every race is common enough that a child growing up in their lowest slums or tallest spires has come across essentially every playable race at least once and knows what they're called.  A country bumpkin or person from a city far from continental trade lanes, conversely, is likely to consider some sentient races fairytales or otherwise have never heard of them.

Orcs and Goblins are considered a menace to the civilized world and discriminated against.  They have their own tribes but rarely their own nations with a key exception, the Undying Horde, led by an immortal Orc worshiped as a Lesser God of War.

Gameplay/Chargen
Standard Stuff

  • Accepted Content: Official WotC Only
  • Stats: PB | Standard Array (15/14/13/12/10/8) | 4d6k3 Rolled
  • HP: Max
  • Starting Level: 1
  • Equipment: Standard, no magic items, your character is on a long journey--shop with that in mind!
  • PvP:  In the event that a good faith, friendly PvP occasion arises naturally or pre-planned b\t players in RP then we'll have a relevant discussion in PMs and then bring everyone else on board in the OOC thread.  I'm not wanting this to happen or expecting it, I'm laying out a protocol so it doesn't feel like I'm "yanking the leash" if I tell someone "no you don't stab him in the back."  Because I'm (probably) not going to tell you no, but you are going to tell us before it happens.  Consider this the Blood Covenant.
Special Rules

Quick Resting
Characters gain the effects of a short rest in a matter of minutes if they engage in one of the following activities (normally must occur out of combat and take ~10 minutes):

  • Sex: DC 20 Con Save (18 if Athletics or Acrobatics proficient, 16 if both).  One partner may take on more of the burden for Disadvantage, conferring Advantage to their partner.  Failure results in 1 Level of Exhaustion or one shift towards Obsessed sexual alignment.  You'll need to declare which failure state you'll take before attempting the save.
  • Drinking: DC (X) Con Save, where X is set by alcohol consumed.  Advantage against Poison saves counts for the purposes of this Save (i.e. Dwarves gain advantage).
  • Smoking: DC (X) Int Save, where X is set by substance smoked.  Variable effects for failure\success.  Advantage against Poison saves counts for the purposes of this Save (again, Dwarves)./li]
One Way Stimulation
Manual stimulation and oral sex allow a character to facilitate another character's Quick Rest.  This will be an Acrobatics or Athletics test, whichever is higher, with (dis)advantage decided by Sexual Alignment of both parties (whichever Alignment is right between them, shifting further right in case of an even split).  If successful the other party processes as if though sex occurred.  The respective partners may trade (dis)advantage as though sex were being had.

Arousal & Seduction
Handled as Wisdom saving throws conferring the Charmed effect.  Certain species will have additional effects due to pheromones, magical properties, or other factors.  Players and the GM may simply decide the target automatically fails due to the role-play appealing very much to their character.

DCs will be set by the attacker.  Dis/Advantage will be determined by Sexual Alignment.

Sexual Alignment
A measure of how sexual\perverse\easily aroused a character, it is an oversimplified caricature of the real complicated mess that is human sexuality and not intended to reflect on any real orientations\people\etc.

This will never be used to disrespect OOC Acceptable Encounters, nor to otherwise push O\O boundaries!  It is simply-by-design and I will use my discretion to avoid situations that go against the RP.  Feel free to PM me to contest a call made in this regard, or inform me that you feel uncomfortable and do not want it to occur.  I will honour these requests without further explanation.

Obsessed - Inclined - Neutral - Asexual - Repulsed

Obsessed characters always fail Wisdom saves to resist anything sexual.

Inclined characters always have disadvantage.

Neutral characters receive no benefit or malus.

Asexual characters gain advantage.

Repulsed characters autopass.

As you may have noticed there is a way to "slide left" but not "slide right" codified in the rules above.  Sexual Alignment shifts not part of the Quick Rest system can be discussed with the DM, and should reflect the roleplay.  I will not second guess your desire to shift one way or the other, simply ask that you throw something into your IC posts (even if it's just your character thinking to themselves) that indicates a shit in attitude.

Death & Critical Wounds
If you, for dramatic or personal reasons, would like to die--just let me know and I'll work it out!  Otherwise I do not intend to kill you but rather Critically Wound you where you would've died in vanilla 5e.  Critical Wounds will impair a character in ways ranging from dismemberment to loss of certain stats.  I'll let you know what's coming to give you a chance to veto it.

I'm very interested. Do you want us to post character sheets in this thread? Can we use Unearthed Arcana? Is any race fine? What exactly do you mean by "standard" for equipment? Are we just rolling as per class for gold? Can I decide to use standard point buy and average gold instead of rolling?

Yes, PM to me or post here.  Either is fine.

UA I'll consider but generally not too big into for something as major as a class.

You can roll or take the default equipment package for your class.

Yeah, Array/ph both available.

Edit
To clarify yes average gold is allowed

Armphid

I am also interested in this.  Would you want us to document our stat rolls if we choose to roll?  I much prefer that over the point buy.  Also are there any classes you would prefer to see, just out of curiosity?   Same with races?

I'd prefer you use the built in dice roller on E.  It can be a bit cumbersome but I'm happy to help you out or do the roll for you?

Class/race, I have no value and do not push for pre-game "party/balance" for a wide variety of reasons.  Make what you'd most like to play, and will want to keep coming back regularly to post as.

Armphid

That makes sense.  I haven't decided yet exactly but would it be all right for a Lord to play a female character?  Just still considering concepts.

I would appreciate any help you wished to give!  Please, it would make it very easy for me if you would do the rolls.  That way I can feel I'm playing honest.  And I don't know if I could figure out how to use it right on my own...

Name: Amillia tailchaser
Race: Halfling
Gender: Female
Age: 22

Sexuality (IC): Pansexual
Acceptable Encounters (OOC): straight, gay, non-con should be always acceptable though I would appreciate an ask first

Physical Description:Amilia always stood out among her fellow Halflings. She is remarkably tall by their standards after all. She stands at 3'10''. The long-running family joke was it was a good thing she was as slender as she was if she had been more stout or built they would have worried mum had had an affair with a dwarf. That being said, she is very pleasantly curvy as well. Ample breasts and wide hips giving her a lovely hourglass figure. Dark black hair, once pale skin now a gentle tan from hours working outdoors, her eyes are a warm, gentle brown.
Personal History: The family name originally meant to call to her clan's history as the village hunters trappers and tanners, but as she grew up and her boy chasing tendencies began to develop, the name earned a very different implication for this particulate member of the Tailchaser clan. Along with a sex drive that one would hardly believe could fit in such a tiny creature, she also had something of a wild streak, even by non-halfling standards. It wasn't long before her family and village grew tired of her antics and told her to either get her act together or take her business away from their secluded little halfling village. Amillia thought that was a fine idea, the poor local boys had long since learned they had trouble keeping up with her anyways and there was little fun or adventure left to be had in this quite stretch of the world. She decided to take the family hunting skills she had learned apprenticing with her father on the road and try her hand at being a proper adventure for a while.

Sexual Alignment: Inclined ( I dare say obsessed but where would we go from there I dare ask )

Ah yes yes, that is what Crossplay refers to.  Totally acceptable.

Woof!  A 7?  You place your bets, you take your chances though!  Thank you very much!  I'll try to have a character sheet PM'd to you for approval.  I'll have to find one to use first, lol.

Gotta roll with the punches but hey!  It makes a more interesting character to have to build around that.  I have rarely played with the thought of a 3d6 in order game but I'd need a special flavour of Grognard or masochist to get a group willing to accept that.

This is a great game to have a fuckbuddy in re:Quick Resting, so you two could always consider reprising... but hey!  New is good too!

Name: Varak
Race: Lizardfolk
Gender: Male
Age: 18 Years

Sexuality (IC): Straight but open
Acceptable Encounters (OOC): Anything is fine

Physical Description: For a lizardfolk, Varak has a tall, lean figure. He's over six feet tall and weighs close to three hundred pounds. His muscle is distributed to allow for easier swimming; giving him a strong core and legs while his upper body may be found as lacking. He has black claws on hands and large feet. Thick green scales cover most of his legs and dorsal side. Softer, paler skin covers his inner thighs, stomach, palms, underarm, and jaw. Two dark eyes are found on opposite sides of a nearly muzzle-like face. A lack of pronounced lower jaw allows a hydrodynamic shape when his head is up. This anatomy causes some scruff to be found at the back of his neck. Large lips spread from cheek to cheek. He has a long, prehensile tail, somewhat thicker than his arms at most places, that tapers to a point. From the tip of his tail, up his back, and all the way to the top of his head are mostly-modest, fin-like spikes.

Personal History: A small tribe of Lizardfolk, near extinction, struggles to survive in the Roughlands. Varak was born as their numbers dwindled. The survivor count found itself under a dozen. He would be the last to be born to his tribe as his mother, the last fertile female, died from an infected wound. He was raised under perilous circumstances. His older and only brother encouraging him to become a healer. Something he wishes he'd done before their mother's demise. He and his brother were the only ones who survived to see him reach adulthood.

Varak devoted a significant portion of his free time to practice his clergy. He tried his hardest to remember every bit he was taught by his past family. His family had intended he would follow the path of life. A cleric who could save his tribe from extinction and that was the path he tried to follow. But the traumatic memories of his suffering tribe tormented him toward the path of death. Unsettled by his inability to pursue a purer form of clerical work he seeks a place where he may find redemption.

Sexual Alignment: Neutral
Addictions: n/a

Sheet:
Character Sheet

Class/Level: Death Cleric 1
Background: Outlander
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Personality:Varak is motivated almost entirely by intrinsic values. He understands the necessity of coin to allow him to pursue his goals, but fortune itself is not the end game. Above all, he would like to ensure the survival of his bloodline. He desires a family and the ability to protect it.

He loves the water, nature, and drink. He's always apt to join friends for drunken celebrations. He follows traditional virtues, such as strength, honesty, and a devotion to one's gods, friends, and family. He is not motivated to disagree with others, but he finds it hard to come by respect for those who directly disregard his values.

He is wise, but not clever, and not very educated either. Besides his more core beliefs, he finds it hard to keep his mind made up. His opinion on many things can be easily swayed. He is definitely not beyond influence and it may be easy to convince him of completely changing the means he uses as long as he can be convinced the end result is the same.

Lizardfolk don't consider sexuality the way most mammals do. He's inclined to breed but doesn't find less sexual pleasure from other genders.

Looking good, approved (the word Priest threw me off a little but I got what you meant).

Let me know if you'd like me to flesh out deities a little more, and we can discuss if you reverse\worship Greater\Less God(s)\what the Lizardfolk generally think of them.  Generally speaking I love the concept and can see it going in some very interesting directions on the island!

Nothing quite like a strong character motivation to work with.  Really stiffens my step.

I didn't even realize. Priest and cleric are interchangeable in my mind as far as RPGs go apparently.

Fleshing out the gods isn't very necessary. He may not even warship major gods. More day to day gods sort of like ancient paganism. A god of the hunt, a god of good rest, etc.

This is a great game to have a fuckbuddy in re:Quick Resting, so you two could always consider reprising... but hey!  New is good too!

Heeey now there's a thought.  ;D

Though they might work better over in the DOVA game. hmmmm!

Anyway, gonna mull a bit longer tonight.

Hmmm, could go for half-orc sailor who was part of ship's crew and wound up into island. Let's roll for stats then;

At 2019-02-14 01:30:03, Zaer Darkwail (uid: 14) rolls: 4d6k3 Result: 16

At 2019-02-14 01:29:46, Zaer Darkwail (uid: 14) rolls: 4d6k3 Result: 13

Good side; nothing below 10, but other hand pretty flat statline only one 16. Considering savage attacks should go to one weapon using classes (ranger, rogue, barbarian, fighter, paladin). So far leaning towards fighter (champion martial archetype). Below pics as choices.

Make(s)ense, and yeah in a wayou're more like the tribe's shaman I think--and so it's poetic you'll be the one to restart it.

Sounds interesting. When's the deadline for complete applications?

Zaer Darkwail

Name: Rurik
Race: Half-Orc
Gender: Male
Age: 20 Years

Sexuality (IC): Straight but open minded
Acceptable Encounters (OOC): Anything which passes Harkness Test and is not male and does not include any my usual offs (vore, gore, urine, scat, mutilation), preferance leaning to being dominant partner but can be victim of stronger/more powerful dom.

Physical Description: Rurik stands 6'5'ft tall with rippled muscles and bald head (usually covered) with green tint to his skin and proud prominent tusks and wearing sailor's pants and moves most of time topless with no shoes on the ship. Displaying all various tattoos he have taken in his life and battle scars and healthy amount chest and back hair. If armored he would go to shirt and leather vest along with boots and wielding a pair of scimitars.

Personal History: Rurik was born as son of a gun, his mother had a encounter with pirates which included orcs in the crew and she was passed around between them until she was rescued. Mother was hardworking sailor and she spend more time in ocean than on land, so she raised Rurik on the ship and taught him the ways of the sailor. Hardway of course as there is no place to coddling as even baby he learned to do knots. Overtime mother retired on land, running as mistress of evening got hooked up with innkeeper who wanted 'buy her off' from that life. Rurik shared no interest to meet or learn to accept the innkeeper as father figure and feeling is mutal with innkeeper not wanting accept him as son. He continued on as a sailor as the crew essentially was his family and ship his home and ocean his homeland. He had no desire for other life.

Sexual Alignment: Inclined
Addictions: Alcohol (grog/rum preferance)

Sheet:
Character Sheet

Class/Level: Fighter 1
Background: Sailor
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Personality: As person Rurik is straightforward, even blunt at times and listens to nonsense from no one. As sailor he is used to that everyone does their part as together as a team and there is pecking order based on seniority and experience. He is natural survivor thanks both being sailor and his orcish blood in his veins and he would be very determined to survive by whatever means neccesary and not be squemish about it. In his eyes nothing is more disgusting than completely useless person. More so a person who doesn't even bother to try is even more disgusting. There's difference being helpless and just being lacking motivation.

In sexual matters he is similar straightforward and blunt with approach, you either want fuck or you do not want to fuck. Simple as that. When you do want to fuck you then get down to business without fancying around with it. He is not against bit foreplay or teasing or dirty talk/suggestions. But he mostly ignores flirting, dating or overall 'offer dinner first' formality or etiquette. His preferance go for curvy and busty, all colors, races and sizes welcome (finding taller women actually hard to find and would attempt one just sheer challenge of it). His orcish heritage leans to bit rough play and also for sheer stamina in bedroom (and also for size which some women could not believe to handle but they did surprisingly). But unlike the orcish kin he can keep his instincts on check and go own manual labor if needed to relieve stress just himself. He works hard but parties harder.

He also has bit addiction to alcohol or rather drinking in general. He tries moderate it so he does not fall completely drunk but sometimes control slips entirely off him.
