I don't think they're filled yet. The interest check went up yesterday and there are no taken face claims. Related to this question though, will there be a tally, acceptance day, etc something to let people know how full the roleplay is?

I sorta have a character concept? An escaped experiment type thing, but I'm indecisive about other details, like her power, its source, and on and on. Very basic lol.

There are no slots. I'm intending to take around 4-6 players based on the level of interest, how many CS's I get and the quality of them.

Fairly basic question: What level of lethal force by superheroes when fighting supervillains is viewed as acceptable by the setting in general? What level of lethality are the prospective players themselves interested in and comfortable with?

I'm imagining aim to be non-lethal but sometimes kill when there's absolutely no option. But it may be character by character.

Sanctioned superheroes have permission to use lethal force but are supposed to aim to capture if possible. But these characters are vigilantes operating outside the law, so they're not restrained like they are. But I don't imagine them being cold blooded killers.

No hard acceptance day but once I start accepting people there'll be an OOC and approved characters thread, and I'll note it here.

Intriguing concept. Source would really just depend on the nature of the experiment.

Having trouble narrowing things down to just one concept, so I figured I'd throw my top contenders out for accepted players/prospective players to weigh in on which characters they'd be most interested in having on the team:

• Older veteran hero, retired to civilian life or a mentorship position until recently. Likely a former parahuman, but could be a former magic user, that lost his powers in his final showdown with his archnemesis. In the process of jumping into action to get civilians out of the way in the supervillain hostage situation that led to the formation of the Answers, he was chosen by this universe's analogue to the Nova Corps or the Green Lanterns or something like that. Exact powerswet dependent on what the team is missing, doesn't have to be alien tech, could be something magical instead, maybe, but basically the idea is that he's a seasoned veteran, but while he has a lot of experience to provide the younger members of the Answers, he's also new to his own new powerset, and while he may have friends, he's also likely got his fair share of enemies, too.
• A clone of an existing hero (or dead hero),  maybe by the SRF or maybe an independent supervillain. Inspirations would be Superboy, X-23, or Bizarro, but that's mainly origin, less powerset. Flexible there. Clone's powerset may be a weaker version than the original – might be like Ultraboy, only able to access one power of a set at a time or something in that vein. Might have worked as a minion/henchman for his creator in the past, mainly due to naivete, but has been rehabilitated.
• Maui, Polynesian demigod. Roughly as strong and tough as a standard Amazon from DC or Asgardian (think the Warriors Three or Sif, less than, say, a Thor), got magical hook carved from bone that lets him shapeshift into animals. Might noooot be the best choice of the three as he would be a magical being and Sun Wukong has expressed a preference for a maximum of 1 magical being on the Answers.

Oh of course with them being twins they're pretty much connected at the hip and would be played as such by Bard and I. When you mean prior connection though do you mean with the others?

Prior connection just between the two twins is all. No connection to the others required. I think that'd feel a bit forced, I'd aim to play out their meeting in character.

Let me know if you have any questions! Creating aliens is definitely one of the more complex things, and there's not an ocean of examples yet.
