Hello, marvelous person! Thank you for taking the time to click this game post. Let me be the first to say, we, as a community of writers, would be thrilled to have you create a character for our story. I do understand joining an already existing game can be intimidating but hopefully this thread will alleviate some of your concerns and erase any doubts about whether or not you'll be a good fit to our small corner of Elliquiy.

Caravanserai acts very much like a rural town rather than a metropolitan city. Everyone within this game is friendly and accepting of others. Aside from your characters enjoying day to day activities at the hotel, Caravanserai will have events for holidays and other special occasions. Fill it with your drama, humor, romance, etc. We'll love you for it. Diversity (whether if of race, religion, sexual orientation, or what have you) is not only encouraged but genuinely accepted within this game. All we really ask of a potential writer is to actively involve their characters within the story and respect their co-writers. 

Due to the format of the game, your character can easily drop in for one day and leave within the next without complication. Although we hope you'll stay a while.

Game Premise

Caravanserai is a free-form story which takes place in some North African country within the year 2020. It is centered around a brand new hotel which is being visited by a number of guests; some of which seek to escape their lives while others just have money and time to burn. Whichever path you wish your character to take is completely up to you. Caravanserai is easy to jump into and easy to leave if time or interest wanes.

The Rules

• Who are the game masters?
  Flower will be your Game Master. Despite this fact, I encourage you to submit ideas, suggestions, and concerns. However, please understand not all of your ideas will be accepted.
• Where section is it played?
  'Caravanserai' will be played in the non-adult board of Elliquiy. Sex scenes can be written in its RLD thread.
• How many characters can I make?
  Writers are allowed three characters. The first two character slots are guaranteed to everyone. The third is not and will be approved on a case by case basis.
• Keep Out of Character and In-Character Separate.
  Do not leave Out of Character messages in IC post. Out of Character in the Out of Character thread.
• Give people a reasonable time to post.
  In group scenes, please allow time for writers involved to respond before posting again. You took the time to write and craft your post. Let people respond to it!
• Use Spellchecker and read your posts before clicking that post button.
  Mistakes happen. Nobody's perfect but put a little effort into your writing. It will be appreciated by your partner.
• Control your character, not anyone else's.
  God-modding without another writer's permission or using OOC knowledge is not permitted. If someone god-modes your character, send them a message to discuss the situation between yourselves. Do not call anyone out in OOC. Try not to get angry about it. Remember everyone has a different definition of god-modding so the act might not have been intentional. If an issue cannot be resolved between involved writers, please include the GM in your messages.

This game is open to ladies, legates, lords, and lieges. Applicants are also permitted to apply as well. Cross-gender writers are welcome too.

The Non-Adult Section

You have nothing to fear from the non-adult section. It's a lot less strict than you might believe.

• Heavy kissing is okay.
• Heavy petting is okay.
• Obscenities are okay.


• Nudity is not okay.
• Sexual acts are not okay. However, there is a thread for sexual acts in the adult section of the forum.
• Extreme violence is not okay.

Characters You Can Write

Your character must be 18+. Create what you want! Your character can be from any place in the world. They're on vacation, after all. Just keep in mind that they need to be wealthy or lucky enough to afford traveling to Caravanserai. The only real restriction is that you may not write any killers, rapists, etc. While those characters are fun, we're not that sort of game. If you are wondering if a certain type of character is permissible, please ask first before wasting your time.

Well, you haven't missed much. We're a slow moving game. However, this is a great idea...a timeline.

June 6, 2020 | Morning | Caravanserai's Grand Opening
June 6, 2020 | Evening | Masquerade party
June 7, 2020 | Evening | Star Gazing Event
June 9, 2020 | Evening | Speed Dating event
June 10, 2020 | Afternoon | 60s themed pool party

Right now, the pool party is the current event. The others have wrapped up. You can do star gazing at any time though. I just wanted to highlight it for that evening.

Also, you guy could have arrived at any time in between June 6 - 11. I recommend before the 11th though since no one is playing on that day. If you choose a day before the 9th, you can just pretend your guys participated in those events as the current game time is June 9 - 11.

So I might be reading the Caravanserai thread wrong, but didn't a masseur already join recently? I didn't see him on the staff thingie but I think it was very recent. It's a shame, because I was really digging that particular job

Cara is a giant place. There will be multiple employees for the same roles.  More than likely they will just work in the same place, which gives you an instant connection. It's why I haven't scratched certain roles off the listee.
