I might be crazy, but I thought there used to be a way to look at messages you've sent.  Is that a thing?  If so, how?

Then.. Messages - Sent Items.

Et voilá!

If you still don't have them you might need to check the box

Is it different on mobile?  I'm not finding a sent items and I've had it set to save a copy since I joined.  I thought I used to be able to do it, but that was some time ago and on an actual computer.

You might have collapsed the left-hand menu. I do it all the time on mobile. Look for two tiny arrows in the upper right corner just above the active message window. That should pop open the navigation menu.

Eta: change left to right
