Ok, what specifically do you need? This is the feat. If you want a Dex Combat Maneuvers build...go right ahead. :P

Men in general judge more by the sense of sight than by that of touch, because everyone can see but few can test by feeling. Everyone sees what you seem to be, few know what you really are; and those few do not dare take a stand against the general opinion. Therefore it is unnecessary to have all the qualities I have enumerated, but it is very necessary to appear to have them. And I shall dare to say this also, that to have them and always observe them is injurious, and that to appear to have them is useful; to appear merciful, faithful, humane, religious, upright, and be so, but with a mind so framed that should you require not to be so, you may be able and know how to change to the opposite.

And looking at that feat trip doesn't even need a feat. It's one of the three that use the weapons modifier so automatically dex if you have weapon finesse. O.o

At least that's what the side bar claims.

Re Z L

Name: Liliana Vess aka Lil, Red, Candle, Hot-Head
Sex: Female
Age: 28

Race: Human
Class: Kineticist
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Level: 3
EXP: 3,300 / 6000

Basic Appearance:
A petite redhead with pale skin.  She has similarly orange-red eyes that seem to burn with an inner fire all their own.  She has an assortment of blue, tribal style tattoos along the left side of her body.

Personality:
Her temperament can be as fiery as her natural abilities.  She is passionate, opinionated, strong willed, and prone to spontaneous actions.

Basic Background
Lil was the child of a small family from a bustling, busy city to the north of Mirtan, along the river flowing from Lake Wyrd to the sea.  It wasn't long before she had to start taking care of herself, though.  Her father, convicted of stealing, was soon taken away and pressed into "military service" where he likely died.  Her mother, though she cared for Lil, passed off what little savings she could afford and sent her off to get some work.  She disappeared after that, either swallowed up into the criminal justice system, or otherwise having gone off to find some kind of work to support herself.  Being young she did what little she could, and took to begging and picking up scraps along the streets.  Crime, of course, was almost inevitable.

To say that crime is nonexistent in Muinodepa is a shallow view of the complexity of law and order in the country.  Crime exists, but is usually stamped out expeditiously.  A certain level of corruption is inevitable though, and sometimes people slip through the cracks or operate in places that are invisible to those enforcing the law.  Theft was simple enough, a little pick-pocketing here and there, some con games from time to time.  However, honor among thieves being what it is, she was sold out by a former friend who was being rolled by the law enforcement militias.  It was safer, in general, not to travel in packs, so when they came for her she was alone.

She squirmed as the leader grabbed onto her, managing to get her one hand free.  Sentences for crime were little better than a death sentence for most--the border skirmishes were not forgiving and criminals were not brought into the law enforcement militias for obvious reasons.  As he held onto her blue flames swirled along the left side of her body, leaving tattoo-like markings behind as her flesh began to heat up with inner fire, as if her skin might simply boil away to reveal some inner flame-creature within.  The impotent pounding with her fist turned to fiery slaps until she pressed her hand up against the side of his face and brought hellish flames to bear against his flesh.  Half of his face burned away, the flesh melting like wax, before he let her go.  He screamed in agony as the other two militiamen with him ran.  She had little time to consider what she'd done and so she ran away shortly after.

She left the town as quickly as she could and decided that Mirtan was as good a place as any to try and lose herself in.  She laid low for a while until she ran out of coin.  Her newfound abilities made getting "honest" work a little easier though.  Most of the more notable guilds didn't seem very interested in her though, maybe because she wasn't of the right "stock", it's hard to say.  Regardless she decided to forge a path of her own.  This might-makes-right meritocracy had some potential after all...what if she could be mightier?  What if she could rise up and become the leader of her own guild?  Or maybe better yet the queen of the city?  It was a lofty goal, but at least it was something to work towards until she found something more interesting to occupy her time.

Still somewhat uncertain of what these gifts really mean, she also plans to find more people like her, people with elements for blood, or spirits bonded to the earth.  She doesn't know where the power comes from, or how, she only knows that it can burn, and burn very well.

Short Term Goal: Make some coin.
Long Term Goal: Figure out how far this "Kratocracy" can take you.  Find some other Kineticists.
NPC's: Random former "partners in crime" that might come calling for help, to mooch off of her, or to blackmail her; soldier-turned-bounty-hunter with the melted face coming to track her down for revenge

Heart of the SlumsHumans who eke out a life in a city’s teeming slums must be quick and clever. They gain a +2 racial bonus on Sleight of Hand and Stealth checks, and a +4 racial bonus on Survival checks in urban and underground settings. In addition, they may roll twice when saving against disease, taking the better roll. This racial trait replaces skilled.
Languages:   Common, Orc

Class Abilities:

Burn (Ex)At 1st level, a kineticist can overexert herself to channel more power than normal, pushing past the limit of what is safe for her body by accepting burn. Some of her wild talents allow her to accept burn in exchange for a greater effect, while others require her to accept a certain amount of burn to use that talent at all. For each point of burn she accepts, a kineticist takes 1 point of nonlethal damage per character level. This damage can’t be healed by any means other than getting a full night’s rest, which removes all burn and associated nonlethal damage. Nonlethal damage from burn can’t be reduced or redirected, and a kineticist incapable of taking nonlethal damage can’t accept burn. A kineticist can accept only 1 point of burn per round. This limit rises to 2 points of burn at 6th level, and rises by 1 additional point every 3 levels thereafter. A kineticist can’t choose to accept burn if it would put her total number of points of burn higher than 3 + her Constitution modifier (though she can be forced to accept more burn from a source outside her control). A kineticist who has accepted burn never benefits from abilities that allow her to ignore or alter the effects she receives from nonlethal damage.
Elemental Focus: Fire (Su)At 1st level, a kineticist chooses one primary element on which to focus. This element determines how she accesses the raw power of the Ethereal Plane, and grants her access to specific wild talents (see below) and additional class skills. She can select aether (telekinesis), air (aerokinesis), earth (geokinesis), fire (pyrokinesis), or water (hydrokinesis). She gains her selected element’s basic utility wild talent (basic telekinesis, basic aerokinesis, basic geokinesis, basic pyrokinesis, or basic hydrokinesis; see page 23) as a bonus wild talent. See Elements on page 14 for the specific abilities granted by each element.
Gather Power (Su)If she has both hands free (or all of her prehensile appendages free, for unusual kineticists), a kineticist can gather energy or elemental matter as a move action. Gathering power creates an extremely loud, visible display in a 20-foot radius centered on the kineticist, as the energy or matter swirls around her. Gathering power in this way allows the kineticist to reduce the total burn cost of a blast wild talent she uses in the same round by 1 point. The kineticist can instead gather power for 1 full round in order to reduce the total burn cost of a blast wild talent used on her next turn by 2 points (to a minimum of 0 points). If she does so, she can also gather power as a move action during her next turn to reduce the burn cost by a total of 3 points. If the kineticist takes damage during or after gathering power and before using the kinetic blast that releases it, she must succeed at a concentration check (DC = 10 + damage taken + effective spell level of her kinetic blast) or lose the energy in a wild surge that forces her to accept a number of points of burn equal to the number of points by which her gathered power would have reduced the burn cost. This ability can never reduce the burn cost of a wild talent below 0 points.
Elemental Overflow +1 (Ex)At 3rd level, a kineticist’s body surges with energy from her chosen element whenever she accepts burn, causing her to glow with a nimbus of fire, weep water from her pores, or experience some other thematic effect. In addition, she receives a bonus on her attack rolls with kinetic blasts equal to the total number of points of burn she currently has, to a maximum bonus of +1 for every 3 kineticist levels she possesses. She also receives a bonus on damage rolls with her kinetic blast equal to double the bonus on attack rolls. The kineticist can suppress the visual effects of elemental overflow by concentrating for 1 full round, but doing so suppresses all of this ability’s other benefits, as well. The next time the kineticist uses any wild talent, the visual effects and benefits return instantly.

There are always Feats to improve CM's. You just need to find them (EG, Improved Trip and Vicious Opportunist).

Dude! You totally made a Jaya Ballard, Task Mage ^^
Though in appearance and class perhaps more like her apprentice Shandra Nalaar, but then with the name of the black neowalker. You're a MTG player aren't you? Cool concept though, I like it. Kineticists lend themselves perfect for RP, very spectacular no matter which way you turn them.

Oh Aye. Working towards improved trip's the whole reason for 13 int after all. :D

Pathfinder/Dnd just doesn't like whips and it takes a bit to make them equal to normal weapons. But it can be done! And whips are really neat. Except chain whips. Those are a pain to use and really hurt when you hit yourself with them.

Vergil Tanner

You wanna talk about Pathfinder not liking a build? You're talking to the guy who has to somehow make thrown weapons viable in Pathfinder :P

hah. very true. Hmmm. Do your cards return to you after use? I know the cartomancer witch's cards do.

And at least you're adding touch spells to them and not just using darts. :D

Vergil Tanner

No, it specifies in the Magus Card Caster Entry that the cards are destroyed on impact. But eh, a deck of 52 playing cards is like...a gold piece. So meh. :P

And that's true! Shocking Grasp + Intensified Spell = Level 2 spell that potentially deals 10d6 of electricity damage that can be delivered through a weapon? A FREE Full BAB attack, in addition to a -2 main weapon attack? A weapon that can be charged with various magical abilities? I'll take that. >.>

Shame yours are destroyed.

But like you said very cheap for the amount.

And hey! With a high Diplomacy Roll, Guards in a prison might give you a set of playing cards to amuse yourself with! :D

Exactly! And of course, it isn't relegated to just cards. ANY thrown object can be charged. :P So yeah, the mug doesn't do lethal. But the 3d6 spell he charged it with certainly does :P

That is... nasty. Even if the range isn't all that much it's still greater then touching someone.

Vergil Tanner

MHM. Now you know why I took Snowball and Shocking Grasp >.>

I mean, yeah, the mug counts as an improvised weapon. But still :P

And of course, at Level 5 he's taking "Distance Hurler," which effectively doubles the range of his throwing weapons :P

I am confused on something, I blame turning 60 a few months back- old mind slowing down.
Are Tieflings allowed? I recently came across several very nice tiefling images and I think one would fit well here!

As far as I am aware, Tieflings are indeed allowed, but only as long as they are descendants from long, long ago. As in, no "My father was an Elemental" sorta deal. Since the whole "Planar Shut Down," getting new juice has been difficult, so...they are exceedingly rare, at least and much weakened. However, if you wish to play a Tiefling, your best bet would be to PM us privately so we can work something out. Flint knows more about the theological and metamagical limitations of the world than I do.

I have confirmation:

Tieflings are ok, so long as they are from a long line of Tieflings and not a recent one.
