4. I am actively seeking co-Gm's (Up to two) who also share extensive knowledge of the game and its lore.

5. Most important: Please abide by all Elliquiy rules!

6. No god-modding.You do it, we cut you from the game. I have ZERO tolerance for God-modders.

If an accord could not be reached, please do not hesitate to grab up the GM so that she may make a fair and impartial decision to resolve issues.

9. Non-consensual activity is permitted, however, players are NOT required to participate. Any non-con activities MUST be approved by all players involved. Anyone who violates this rule will be dropped from the game. RACES OF EORZEA
*For very obvious reasons, the Lalafell race will NOT be playable.

The Elezen are an elf-like race and the original inhabitants of Eorzea.

The Elezen are a traditionally nomadic people who in former times claimed sole domination over Eorzea, their presence predating that of other races... They are divided into the Wildwood and the Duskwight Elezen. The Wildwood live in the forests and possess a keen sense of sight - a contributing factor in their unparalleled expertise as archers. The Duskwight are a reclusive clan who dwell in caves and caverns, which has given them a heightened sense of hearing. The two clans seem to dislike each other immensely.

The Elezen are a characteristically tall people, long of limb and slender of build. They are also possessed of a somewhat extended lifespan in comparison to the Hyur. The Elezen once claimed sole dominion over Eorzea, their presence predating that of the other races, and, as such, developed a heightened sense of honor and pride. In years past, the Hyur migration into Elezen lands sparked bitter conflict. At present, however, the mutual understanding reached between the two races allows them to work towards mutual peace and prosperity.

Elezen Lore
In former times, the Elezen were the sole inhabitants of Eorzea, claiming dominion over her. Traditionally a nomadic people, the tall, slender Elezen believed the realm to be theirs by divine right—a gift from the Twelve themselves. Unfortunately, this belief made the eventual appearance of the Hyur in their multitudes akin to an invasion, and a long history of conflict ensued.

Ultimately, the Elezen diverged into the two clans that exist today. The Wildwood Elezen took to the forests in their ongoing fight to protect their homeland against the encroaching Hyur, while the Duskwight Elezen withdrew to caves and sub-terrain, opting instead to avoid all contact with any but their own.

The Elezen are a traditionally nomadic people who in former times claimed sole dominion over Eorzea, their presence predating that of the other races. Believing this prominence to be ordained by the gods, they came to develop an esteemed sense of honor and pride.

Their characteristically tall, slim physiques and elongated limbs are part of a successful adaptation to the land’s various environments. Indeed, it is said that their highly sensitive ears can discern the squeak of a field mouse at a distance of up to several malms.

The Elezen perceived the immigration of the Hyur as tantamount to invasion, and as a result the two share a past plagued by warfare. At present, however, they can be seen coexisting peacefully, the exception being the reclusive Duskwight Elezen.

The Hyur are a race that is more or less human.

Boasting the largest population in Eorzea, the Hyur came from neighboring continents and islands in three great migratory waves... They are divided into the Midlander and the Highlander Hyur. The Midlanders place a heavy emphasis on education, and are generally considered to be the most cultured people of the world. Physically larger and bulkier than their Midlander cousins, the Highlanders once governed the grand city-state of Ala Mhigo, which was invaded and razed by the Garlean Empire. With their homeland destroyed and their numbers decimated, the Highlanders now eke out their existence as mercenaries.

Over the course of some one thousand years and three great migratory waves, the Hyur have come to be the most populous of the civilized races in Eorzea. Compared to the others, theirs is an average physique, both in terms of height and build. The Hyur champion personal freedom and liberty, and their espousal of an eclectic variety of languages and traditions is a legacy of their diverse heritage―as is their resulting lack of a unified cultural identity.

Hyur Lore
The Hyur are said to have first traveled to Eorzea from the surrounding continents and islands.

Some one thousand years and three great migratory waves later, they are now the most populous of all the civilized races. They exhibit a relatively modest physique, both in height and build, and are known for their peculiarly short, rounded ears. Hyur are well-suited for traveling long distances by foot, a trait thought to account for their swift proliferation.

Their espousal of an eclectic variety of languages and traditions is a legacy of their diverse heritage—as is their resulting lack of a unified cultural identity.

Boasting the largest population in Eorzea, the Hyur came from neighboring continents and islands in three great migratory waves. With them they brought a sophisticated technology and complex ethos tempered by the breadth of the outside world. They rapidly became a driving force behind cultural progress, and are now widely attributed with spearheading advances in Eorzean civilization.

One of the Hyur’s strengths is the staggering variety of languages and social institutions they exhibit. This is said to account for their firm conviction in individual freedoms, though it also results in a relative lack of solidarity and group cohesion.

Two distinct groups now exist among the Hyur-- Highlanders, denizens of mountainous areas, and Midlanders, who reside in lower elevations.

The Lalafell are a race of physically diminutive humanoids.

The Lalafell were originally a group of agriculturalists inhabiting the fertile islands of the south seas... They are of high agility and intelligence, are from the southern regions, and are divided into the Plainsfolk and the Dunesfolk. The Plainsfolk are a very earthy clan who thrive on the prairies. The Dunesfolk literally live on the backs of enormous beasts of burden and are known for wearing gemstones in their foreheads that signify their zodiacal signs.

The Lalafell are a folk both rotund and diminutive. Small by any race's standards and possessed of a childlike countenance, it proves difficult for non-Lalafell to gauge an individual's age with any degree of accuracy. Originally an agricultural people inhabiting the fertile islands of the south seas, they found their way to Eorzea via the burgeoning trade routes. Lalafell are welcoming of outsiders, and share prosperous relations with all of the other races of Eorzea.

Lalafell Lore
A wee people sporting short, rotund bodies, the Lalafell appear as no more than children to the eyes of most. Many of these nimble little folk hail from the islands of the south seas, where they practice a simple agricultural lifestyle. It was not until the opening of maritime trade routes that the gradual migration of Lalafell to Eorzea began.

Now one of the most well-established races in the realm, Lalafell can be found in great numbers in nearly every city. Though Lalafellin culture places great emphasis on blood relations, individuals are known for getting along amicably with members of all races.

The Lalafell were originally a group of agriculturalists inhabiting the fertile islands of the south seas. With the introduction of transmarine commerce, they soon found their way to Eorzea via trade routes. They are now one of the more populous races and are well established throughout the region, though they remain averse to cold climates.

The short, rotund builds of the Lalafell belie an incredible agility, and their seemingly feeble legs are capable of carrying them long distances over any terrain. Many among them are also known for possessing highly developed and cunning intellects.

The Lalafell place a great deal of significance on familial bonds, but are by no means unfriendly to outsiders. This is evidenced by the fact that they continue to share prosperous relations with all of the other races of Eorzea.

The Miqo'te are a cat-like humanoid race.

During the Age of Endless Frost, as the seas turned to ice and passage over them became possible, Eorzea saw an influx of foreigners to her shores... The Miqo'te are very devout people, but are divided into two religious sects: the Seekers of the Sun, who are dedicated to the sun goddess Azeyma the Warden, and the nocturnal Keepers of the Moon, who are dedicated to the moon goddess Menphina the Lover.

Though their presence in Eorzea is lesser than that of the other races, the Miqo'te are easily distinguished by their large, projecting ears and restless, feline tails. The ancestors of this line first made their way to the realm during the Age of Endless Frost in the Fifth Umbral Era, traversing frozen seas in pursuit of the wildlife upon which they subsisted. Instinctual territoriality causes many among them to lead solitary lifestyles. Males in particular are said to shy from contact with others.

Miqo'Te Lore
The ancestors of the Miqo'te made their way to Eorzea during the Age of Endless Frost, traversing the frozen seas in pursuit of the wildlife upon which they subsisted. Adaption to a hunting lifestyle has fashioned them with a keen sense of smell, powerful legs, and a tail which provides them with exceptional balance.

Miqo'te are known to be very territorial, and many individuals tend to lead solitary lifestyles, particularly males. The few Miqo'te who have made the transition to life in Eorzean society are predominantly female.

During the Age of Endless Frost, as the seas turned to ice and passage over them became possible, Eorzea saw an influx of foreign fauna to her shores. This in turn brought the hunting tribes which subsisted upon them, the modern descendants of whom are today known as the Miqo’te.

Since then, the Miqo’te have diverged into two physically distinguishable groups — the diurnal Seekers of the Sun and the nocturnal Keepers of the Moon. Both groups share a superb olfactory sense and powerful leg musculature, results of a long evolution geared towards hunting and predation.

Comparatively few in number, they maintain an insular group mentality, tending to avoid contact with the other races. Many individuals lead isolated lifestyles, even when residing in the more populous cities.

The Roegadyn are a physically large and muscular race.

The Roegadyn are a maritime people whose largest concentrations are found in the northern seas, by way of which they came to Eorzea... They hail from the northern regions and are divided into the Sea Wolves and the Hellsguard. The Sea Wolves were once a band of fearsome pirates, but have since largely abandoned that lifestyle; presently they are normally employed as sailors or naval mercenaries. The Hellsguard, on the other hand, dwell in a volcanic region and are said to be masters of the magical arts, guarding the gateway to Hell itself.

The Roegadyn are easily identified by their massive, muscular frames. They are descended from a maritime people that roamed the northern seas, though many of their ancestors turned their longships south to brave the crossing into Eorzean waters. Often considered a barbaric race, the fiercely competitive Roegadyn are also known for their compassion and unswerving loyalty. Many of the greatest warriors in history were born of Roegadyn stock.

Roegadyn Lore
Known for their brawny builds and piercing eyes, the Roegadyn are the largest and most rugged of Eorzea's races.

The majority of the realm's Roegadyn belong to the Sea Wolf clan, a maritime people who earn their keep on or by the sea, be it as sailors, Fisherman, or pirates. Comparatively fewer in number are the Hellsguard who are known for their more earnest demeanors and can often be found working as bodyguards and smithies.

The Roegadyn are a maritime people whose largest concentrations are found in the northern seas, by way of which they came to Eorzea.

They possess enormous, muscular builds and are known for the cultural emphasis they place on competition and unflinching courage, though tender, introspective individuals can also be found. Roegadyn in and around the Limsa Lominsa area are typically seamen putting in at port, but many have also settled permanently, becoming mercenaries, bodyguards, or even pirates by trade. Far away, deep in the mountains of Abalathia's Spine, live mountain clans of reclusive Roegadyn known as the Hellsguard, said to have mastered the magical arts.

The curved horns and beautifully patterned scales that characterize the Au Ra oft give rise to speculation that this Hyur-like race native to the Far Eastern continent of Othard are, in fact, the progeny of dragons. This, however, has long been disputed, with scholars citing several distinct differences in the two races as evidence of decidedly dissimilar roots—the first and foremost being the enhanced hearing and spatial recognition granted by an Au Ra's cranial projections (traits not attributed to draconian horns), and the second being the gross disproportion in body mass between Auri males and females (again, a trait widely unseen in dragons).

The Au Ra are from the continent of Othard. This race has some reptilian qualities, but are still quite similar to the Hyur and Elezen. A pair of large, curved horns grow from the sides of their heads, and visible patches of scaled skin can be seen on certain parts of their bodies, including their long tails.

CLASSES AND CHARACTER CREATION

"Every soul must needs have a code, a purpose, to guide them. Else chaos would consume us all."

— The Determination of Being, Guillaurmand de Padellaint

In general, there is a fourfold classification of adventurers based on the disciplinary paths to which they devote themselves. Battle classes are either a Disciple of War, masters of arms who live for the call of combat, or a Disciple of Magic, erudite researchers of all things esoteric. Non-combat classes can be either a Disciple of the Land, gatherers of material resources and students of the natural order, or a Disciple of the Hand, crafters who invest their creative ingenuity in synthesis and industry.
By making use of what is called the Armoury system, players may opt to specialize in one discipline, excelling in a single skill, or they may take a more general approach.

DISCIPLES OF WAR
Disciples of War are physical melee and ranged classes that use weaponskills as their primary offensive abilities and TP as the resources for those abilities. Those classes are:

Gladiator
Marauder
Pugilist
Lancer
Archer
Rogue

DISCIPLES OF MAGIC
Disciples of Magic are classes that cast magical offensive or healing spells and use MP as their primary resources. Those classes are:

Conjurer
Thaumaturge
Arcanist

JOBS
Jobs are an extension of their base classes, and require a Soul Crystal to activate. Each job inherits cross-class (additional) actions from its primary, secondary and tertiary classes. Certain Jobs do not require a base class. Those Jobs are:

DoW
Dark Knight
Warrior
Paladin
Bard
Dragoon
Monk
Machinist
Ninja

DoM
White Mage
Black Mage
Summoner
Scholar
Astrologian

In one of the older Final Fantasies, there is a line that was localized as "you spoony bard!" because in the original Japanese the language was somewhat salty and inappropriate for a children's video game entertainment system.
Thank you, fellow Elliquiyan, and have a wonderful day.

I will be sure to look it up. Its origin probably came from either I, II, or VI. I am ashamed to say I have yet to play those particular games of the series.

But back to work! Have a thread that needs building now that the muse is strong again!

Close! Final Fantasy IV (Or II, if you go by it's US release on the Super Nintendo), actually. One of the best in the series, in my opinion...IV and VI are definitely at the top, either way.

Here is just a sample from my own c/s. I am going to try and work on this during the lulls at work, granted if work doesn't strike me down dead first.

Ji'h

Player Name:
Divine Tenacity

Character Name:
Ji'h Vakarian

Gender:
Female

Race:
Miqo'Te, Seeker of The Sun

Height:
Five feet, eight inches

Weight:
A lady will never answer such a question!

Appearance:
Just in case you cannot find an appropriate image for your character a description will work just as well!

Personality:
Ji'h is admittedly a little vapid and slow on the uptake sometimes, but once a topic has solid context would one see her mind truly at work. She can be both equally sweet and shockingly bitchy, but that does not discount her usefulness to her team.

Class:
Dragoon [Level 30. Learned a couple of tricks from Pugilists and Monks she previously battled.]

Equipment:
Flame Private's Spear, Steel Scale Elmo [hidden], Steel Scale Fingers [Fingerless Hard Leather Gauntlets], Steel Scale Greaves [Leather Jackboots], Steel Scale Mail [Gryphonskin Breastguard], Toadskin Breeches [Scion Healer's Halftights]

Strengths:
Loyal- Friends are forever!
Kind- Because she like to kill them with Kindness.
Caring- All work and no play!
Carefree- *Barely contains her uncontrollable jubilation!*
Disciplined- At least where her skills as a Dragoon are concerned. All bets are off with everything else!

Weaknesses:
Vulnerable- Instinct is one sonuvabitch.
Rash- "Move over, tank! I got this!"
Gullible- "D-Do you really think so? I-I suppose."
Indecisive- Prefers to leave most decisions up to the rest.

Sexual Orientation:
Heteroflexible; Widowed

Sexual On's:
Teasing and petting. Stroking and yearning. Discipline and denial... Numerous things.~

Sexual Off's:
The obvious and unpleasant limits. Scat/vore/feet/watersports

Personal History:
Ji'h was obviously born to a loving family, even if they struggled to retain what was theirs. Eorzean by birth and raised Gridanian by location, Ji'h had always venerated those Disciples of War and Magic for going on grand adventures, doing their part to keep the encroaching darkness at bay. It wasn't until the sudden reappearance of the Warriors of Light that Ji'h decided to follow her own pursuits in earnest so at the tender age of thirteen that she sought out Ywain, Master of the Lancer's Guild, to begin the rigorous training that would set her upon the path she was destined (she believed) to follow.  [WIP]

Family:
Nei Vakarian (Ma, Mommy, Mother!): A simple botanist who takes pleasure in tending to the Land.
Pau'Lao Vakarian (Omg, dad!!!): An avid fisherman who enjoys the lazy days sprawled out next to a creek, river, or ocean, forever in pursuit of the biggest catch.

#12

Player Name: THM

Character Name: Naganaka Tumet; prefers "Naga", has forgotten his tribal name.

Gender: Male

Race: Au Ra

Height: 5'10

Weight: 220 lbs

Appearance: Most of his gear is made from a mixture of wolf leather, and velveteen. Primarily, his equipment has been dyed jet black, with metallic red trim and accent.

Personality: At most times, Naga puts on a strong, cold, detached air, but this is to hide the fact he is scared and alone. He suffers from Amnesia, which has not lessened his skills any, but leaves him terrified and uncertain, which he overcompensates for with acts of bravado and daring-do. However, one thing is certain: He is an implacable man, and a stalwart ally that holds the line against any threat.

Class: Monk (Level 30, purely trained as a Pugilist)

Equipment: Storm private's Cesti, Velveteen Turban, Storm Private's Acton, Storm Private's Wristguards, Velveteen Rope Belt, Velveteen Tights, Goatskin Crakows of Gathering, Aetherial Silver Ear Cuff (In left ear), Weathered Choker.

Strengths:
Tenacity: If you want to put a stop to Naga, you're going to have to straight up kill him. Even if his body is battered and broken, his spirit burns brightly.
Loyalty: Though slow to trust anyone, once that trust has been earned, he would do just about anything for those individuals.
Self-sacrificing: He's willing to put it all on the line for the right reasons; but is this always a strength?
Regimented: Even with amnesia, he has not truly forgotten the strictness instilled in him since his youth; the need for discipline and self-control.

Weaknesses:
Mistrusting: He suffers from amnesia, and so he can't be certain of who is his friend, and who is his enemy.
Blood Knight: Some times, he gets too wrapped up in the fight, and the call to violence. It feels too good, too familiar.
Hunted: Something's out to get him; somebody needs to finish the job...

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual.

Sexual On's: Strong, dominant women.

Sexual Off's: The typicals of scat, watersports, gore, vore, etc.

Personal History: A semi-famous warrior, Naga was a boisterous bruiser who enjoyed both the thrill of combat, and the joy of training and exercising. He doggedly pursued bodily perfection; he especially enjoyed dueling with others, as he felt that such matches were able to teach both him and the other individual a lot about themselves, and served to push both fighters to better themselves.

Unfortunately, at some point in time, he angered somebody. He was attacked, poisoned, and beaten near to death, but somehow managed to survive the first assault on his life. Unfortunately, it left him with a bad case of amnesia. While this has saved him in many ways, as he has slunk off the radar, it's only a matter of time before someone realizes that he's still alive, and the assassins make a second attempt on his life.

Family: Sensei Kuroda: An Au Ra who taught him his martial arts. She's undertaken a search for her student, after hearing rumors of his death.  Adoptive mother.

Hmm...I assume you mean the start of Heavensward? The Dragonsong War lasted for over a thousand years, pretty much since Ishgard was founded.

My two cents, might be better thinking of a new story, maybe after the War. Something a touch original...None of us are the Warrior or Light, after all, so we won't really get to play the fun parts. Unless...We are going to be WoL's?

That said, plenty of fun to be had killing random dragons still :P

My two cents, might be better thinking of a new story, maybe after the War. Something a touch original...None of us are the Warrior or Light, after all, so we won't really get to play the fun parts. Unless...We are going to be WoL's?

That said, plenty of fun to be had killing random dragons still :P

That is something to ponder upon... Like perhaps making a new Heavensward in which these knights try to redeem the actions of their predecessors.

Hmmmmmm...
