Multiple Copy/Paste from Skype Problems

I got my new computer which had a new (and unimproved) version of Skype on it (which I HATE!) and now I'm unable to copy multiple posts in a message at once. I have to go post by post. I could copy multiple posts for days and days back in the record before on the old version, but I don't see any way to do it on the new. IS there a way to do it on the new version? Or is it tough luck, too bad, we're determined to ruin Skype like YIM was ruined?

I don't really use Skype for chatting, but usually they do generate some sort of log, either automatically or with an option in settings.  Maybe you can copy from that?  Not sure if that helps historically, but maybe it might start mitigating it.

Edit:  And I 100% agree that it seems that in an attempt to "modernize" a program they end up de-featuring things or lowering it to the least common denominator.  I remember back in the day Trillian was this bad mama-jama.  Now its just a shell of what it was.

If they have a logging option, I can't find it. Plus, they don't even show the time stamp on the posts anymore! They only show the date!

I think I found what you're looking for.

Select Tools and then Options.  The second-to-late button on the left of the popup is "IM and SMS".  There I see an option to "Save your history to CSV".

Now, I don't use Skype for IM or SMS, so I have no history to export, but maybe that'll get you what you need.

I actually still use it but I'm tempted to look at Pidgin.  Really tempted.

Here's their note about Pidgin on mac which is basically a note saying "use Adium"
