League of Legends [Interest Checking]

Foreword
Hey! Welcome to my first attempt at running a group roleplay here on Elliquiy. While I might not have an extensive record to show on this profile. I’ve run several group roleplays on other forums, and am hoping to emulate my success elsewhere here too. I’m wanting to keep this mainly free-form, though I’m open to negotiating a few simple game mechanics settle potential disputes between players. The plot behind the roleplay will be player driven, but rest assured everyone will have a clear objective to work towards. Knowledge of the source material (LoL) is not essential, but a basic understanding of how the game works is desired. In-depth knowledge of the lore is not required. This might be a fandom based project, but the characters will practically be original characters (OC’s).

Pre-Story
Your character is about to start a game of League of Legends when they’re suddenly overcome with an overwhelming sense of lethargy. No matter how hard they struggle they ultimately succumb to sleep. Only to awaken moments later in a strange but somewhat familiar world. They quickly come to realize that they’ve awoken on none other than Summoner Rift! But equally as startling is the fact that your character’s body has completely change. They’re stronger, faster, and in full control of one of the League’s champions. As they struggle to come to grasps with what has happened, an all too familiar voice calmly speaks to you from the skies above.

Welcome to Summoner’s Rift.

Your Characters
Your Character has been summoned into the body of a League Champion. They don’t recall their real name, and hence they adopt the name of the champion they inhabit. Infact much of their memory starts fragments, and becomes more distorted as their time in the game world elapses. Eventually they’ll believe without a doubt that they are and always have been the champion they inhabit. Your character will start with all four abilities unlocked, but summoner spells and the recall spell do not exist Yes that means no Flash. Additionally you can alter your champion within reason, (Eg Making Hecarim a living Centaur). Genderbending a champion is also allowed, and their name can be altered slightly to reflect this (Taric -> Tarin)

Teams/Factions
There are three factions within the game. Red Team and Blue Team are positioned on opposite side of the map and have their own base. Each team has a Team Captain, and can have up to 5 members each.

When a champion is slain, they become unaffiliated with their team, and become a savage(grey). Highly aggressive and overcome with hate they roam the jungle alone and will strike out at anyone they come across. Team Captains have the ability to ‘Resurrect’ these Feral Champions by slaying them, in which case they’ll respawn at the captains affiliated base. Normal team members can not resurrect feral champions, but can try and convince an opposing colored team member to defect to their side. When a Team Captain is slain, a new one will be chosen (through the OoC).

Gameplay
Anything that makes sense can happen in the game, ranging but not limited to friendly-fire, backstabbing/trickery, manipulating the environment to your advantage, and of course sexual intercourse. Your character can be a sexual maverick trying to sleep with as many champions as they can, or they can be a brutish thug that takes what he wants and enjoys their spoils of war as they fit. They can even genuinely fall in love and pursue someone specific. It’s entirely up to you.

Minions and Jungle Monsters exist in the game and can be used freely by any player. Jungle monsters are not limited to those that exist on Summoner Rift, or even the League of Legends universe. But remember they are props and not to be used as full-on characters. Items exist in the game, but are purely plot tools and give no statistical advantage as I can’t be bothered calculating stats and recording gold. As stated previously there are no Summoner Spells, and no Recall option. Masteries will also be removed.

Battles
Although I’ve based this roleplay on a brawl-intensive online game, I’m thinking of keeping battle mechanics free-form. As stated previously I could be convinced to implement some sort of simple battle system, but I wouldn’t want it to be complex and calculation oriented. I intend for this roleplay to be more about characters and the relations they form with one another. Rather than a competition over who can god-mod more than others. This is open for discussion.

Final Words
The ideal player would be someone who’s able to post once every few days so their partners at the time are not constantly kept waiting. They’d be able to formulate an interesting character that pays tribute to the original champion, but also has an interesting twist of their own thrown in. Being competitive and having a drive to win would be great too since I don’t want things regressing into a lane-side tea-party.

While not compulsory, I would like people to try and have their characters relate to their champion in some way. For example I don’t want someone playing a kind caring Warwick. With that said though, it could be interesting to have a complete conflict sometimes such as an Ahri who’s a seductive charmer… but also inhabited by a complete virgin. Alternatively sticking to tidbits like having Ashe’s player be married or in a devoted relationship pre-game. Essentially I’d like people to try and come up with interesting similarities or twists to mess around with.

INTERESTED!!!!! Omg this sounds like an amazing rp idea.  I play Lol all the time and would totally join up if started. [Intrested in Ahri or elise. [I would ask that you take annie off the available list if it got going unless you could make an age approprate annie?]

EXCELLENT!!!!! I've noticed a few people looking around, but it's great to finally have someone finally express interest I'm going to admit that I seldom play a game of LoL anymore, but I figured the premise would still make for an interesting game. I'd need at least 6 people to consider doing anything though, so I guess we'll have to play the waiting game (not for too long though I hope).

In regards to Annie, I'm willing to accept an aged up version of Annie. But obviously she wouldn't be accepted in her child form (Due to site rules). Same goes for Nunu, since I'm pretty sure the boy on Wilump's(the Yeti?) back is also a kid. Can't remember the specifics on characters like Jinx and Echo, but they'd need to be aged up to at least 16, preferably 18. I hinted it briefly in the "Your Character" section, but I'm also hoping for alterations with a few others.... as I'll admit, I'm a bit uncomfortable with Yordles. Though they're subjective.

But there race is wierd. I am really excited for this and hope it does not take long to get a group. I would be really interested in Ahri or Elise... Its killing me to try and decide though.

Well I can guarantee we're not going to get 136 players for this, so I guess we can address those issues if anyone wants to play Annie, Lulu, or whoever else. As for whether you should play Ahri or Elise... you could wait and see if anyone else wants one of those champions? If someone else wants Ahri you can have Elise, and vice versa.

I'm also thinking of doing a little preference activity when we get a few more people. But more on that later. :3

I'm interested! Also curious to see how fights will go, free-from's the way to go but it might get complicated depending on the fighters involved. (Like who's to choose if a skillshot lands or not?)

Also even if the setup almost asks for it, people with small knowledge of the characters' kit or lore might get overwhelmed.

Anyway, that's just me thinking out loud, I'm sure everything will be fine.

Really? I thought looking pretty was easier than sitting tight. I'm not even sure what the difference between normal sitting and tight sitting is~

A pleasure to have your interest! I'm kind of hoping that people will be able to reasonably determine what hits and what doesn't... but I do realize most people who know and enjoy LoL will be somewhat competitive.

I've tried my best to minimize lore, since I prefer to be enjoying the roleplay, rather than constantly looking up information. I'd recommend a quick read up of the abilities and background tab for a champion prior to starting, but after that it's pretty much free reign of how you want your character to be. LoL's pretty's old now, so I'm kind of hoping that a few ex-players might join in and fill out the numbers. Though if you have any ideas as to how we could simplify thing further, I'd love to know :)

I guess the perfect number of players would be 10, although some might wanna play more then one champ (definitely not my case).

I was thinking around 8~10 players would be ideal, since it wouldn't be too hard to narrow it to four players a team. We're also able to accommodate over 10 characters too since we can throw a few in the wild as grey characters. (Especially for active people who want to play secondaries). Though for the time being, seems we're stalling for the minimum six 

I should probably also mention that I've put up an interest check for another group roleplay, and I'll likely scrap whichever one has less interest.

Very interesting idea. I'm so torn. On the one hand, I would prefer my character to still appear human - or at least have mostly human features, a la the Vastaya - but on the other hand I main Azir, and he would naturally be my first choice to play as.

As per the alteration rules I don't mind if you make the bird-like appearance an armor thing, and have a human underneath.

Having the bird aesthetic just be an armor thing would work. OR I could play as one of my other, slightly less favoured favourites.

Also, should Bard really be considered "male". Bard seems more like... just a thing. I'm pretty sure they refer to Bard as "it".

Entirely up to you in regards to what you play, I'm just spreading options I just figured in Azir case specifically it sometimes can look pretty vague as to whether the armor is shaped like his face, or if it's a headpiece on top.


I'm not entirely sure what Bard is either, but I didn't want to make a section just for him. I'm going to admit I'm not fond of futa's and similar ilk, so I figured I should just throw it under male along with thing Blitzcrank... which probably don't have a gender. Then we've got tree's and rocks walking around... so yeah. Not really fussed with where they're placed xD

I'm pretty sure that he does have a hawk or eagle head. Unlike Xerath, Azir actually legitimatly ascended, so I just assume that like Nasus and Renekton, he has the animal head thing going on under that head piece too.

And hey, Blitzcrank is a golem. Put a phallic object at his waist and her could keep going at it with a lucky lady for HOURS! I mean, he'd never match the raw sex appeal of Urgot, but you know, who could? Orianna could be considered more of a thing that a female too, but I'm sure it wouldn't be toooooo off to just say she's a human with a psychic connection to her ball.

I made a LoL game in the past but it was based on the actual world and the Lore. The Summoner's Rift portion was optional because I felt the competitive PVP portion would get old after awhile if there wasn't enough story behind it.

I'm assuming most of you are looking for heterosexual couplings, and I'm starting to think we won't have enough females. Since I'm intending to substitute a fair bit of the fighting with sexual interactions, things become a bit... well limited.

I considered involving the actual characters and incorporating the lore, but it seemed like a lot of reading for someone who isn't familiar with LoL, or just a casual gamer. So that was excluded.... I'm wondering though if that was a mistake :/ Ah well, fingers crossed, maybe tomorrow.
