I'm pretty sure this is the right place to ask. If it's not I'm sure a kindly mod will move it for me~

But yeah, pretty much as the title says. I have end of semester university exams from January 12th, giving me a month or so to revise six subjects. Minus a few days for Christmas celebrations.

What I tend to do is make big mind maps of each subject to look at, but recently I've been finding that to be not so helpful. I'm looking for any suggestions, if anyone has a tried and true method I'm all ears.

Or any comments at all, really. I'm honestly terrible at revision. Need to be better.

Help me, E-people!

Which subjects are you needing to do revision in?  I've found that different methods sometimes work better for different subjects.

It's six different topics of Psychology.

Oniya

Oof.  Not one that I've studied - although writing note-cards tends to work with things like names, discoveries, and methods.  Even if you don't have someone to 'quiz' you with them, the act of writing imprints it in the memory better.

I was thinking I might try to explain it to someone else, that way it might help get it more in my head?

Oniya

Hm.  Time zones might be a consideration there, but that is a decent method.  I had a teacher once that said if you can explain a topic to someone who doesn't already know it, then you can say that you understand it.

Yeah, that's my thinking. I have a few little notebooks so I think I'll put some bits and pieces in there, then try to 'teach' the topic, haha.

RedRose

Oh the memories...

Explaining is great.

You can also try to make a short summary of each concept, and see if you manage to remember the details just from this.
O/O and ideas - write if you'd like to be Krennic for Dedra or Jyn or Syril for Dedra (Andor/Rogue One)

Well in my notes I kind of bullet point everything, so that's kind of the same? Maybe?
