Revenge of the Robin ((Freeform Batman RP, Currently Recruiting!))

Jason Todd was kidnapped by the Joker after he and Batman stopped him during a robbery, maimed and tortured as the Dark Knight rushed to save his protege. Unfortunately, the Dark Knight didn't make it in time, causing his sidekick to be killed, at the fault of his own mentor's incompetence. Over the span of more then six months, Batman regrettingly moved on, taking on a new Robin beside him, as the duo continued to keep Gotham safe, however a scar was left that couldn't be healed easily; on him and the others he trained.

Did Robin really die however?

This is the story of Jason Todd, brainwashed and mentored by the one and only Prince of Crime, The Joker, as the two begin to enact the teenage Robin's revenge, with one Bat member at a time, along with some tricks, and even more sinister treats to be had along the way.

What horrors and acts of malicious violence will be unleashed once the Bat Family knows of the terrible truth?

Only time will tell.



Basically this idea would be going off of the storyline of Under the Red Hood, but also incorporating and implementing the storyline of the video game, Batman: Return to Arkham. Instead of Jason Todd dying and then being resurrected by Ra's a Ghul in the Lazarus Pit, Jason is instead kept alive for 6 months by the Joker, being brainwashed and tortured by him into hating Batman and slowly but surely planning his revenge on his former mentor. The plot would involve Jason being let out much earlier then in the game, with him beginning to enact crimes and his revenge at the age of 18, with the Bat Family having to figure out what is going on, and what they can do to stop their former Robin.

Canons for this RP would mainly include Batman, Jason Todd, The Joker, with other canons that could be included such as Nightwing, Oracle, and even Tim Drake as the new Robin.

This group RP I imagined would be a small group, around 5 or more players depending on how many Canons we want. As well, if others have ideas on OCs that could be introduced or implemented, feel free to give your ideas.

This RP would have elements of torture, swearing, possible sexual situations, and other elements that can be incorporated when discussed.

Despite my dislike of Arkham Knight, I do like the overall atmosphere and take of the Arkham games, and Red Hood's story is one of my favorites. Color me interested, and I'll put my name in for my favorite member of the Bat Family, Dick Grayson: Nightwing.

In a way, yeah. It would depend on who would play Jason and the Joker, as well as how dark we would want to go.

The laughs would be much more dangerous though.

I already have my own OC that I've been planning for some time now that's a part of the Bat Family if the group goes well and everyone's cool with it once we got more players, but we'll see how the interest check goes!

Well it would depend really!  would allow multiple characters, but just don't go grabbing more then you can chew, you know?

I would say for now, each person can have two characters, and from there I'll be able to see everyone's RPing skills and how they deal with one or more characters! But if you want to negotiate with an idea or something, then feel free to let me know!

I just want to make sure that everyone is aware that this'll be when Jason's around the age of 18 or so! He'll still be brainwashed and be trained by Deathstroke and what not, but he'll be getting his revenge on Batman, but at a much earlier time period, as well as with the inclusion of other Canons, and OCs if people would like.

Not necessarily opposed to it, but there were a few characters that took over the Batgirl mantle while Babs was Oracle.

And well, speaking as someone who had to judge OCS for the game I'm helping to run, not all of them are created equal. Some are really good and make perfect sense. Others...  Not so much.

Well I imagine her as an intellectual, someone that's smart and straightforward when it comes to being Batgirl. She's crafty and keeps aware of her surroundings, usually staying serious when it comes to job or a mission. She specializes in coding and decrypting, which could be a perfect combo for her working or partnering up with Oracle; in my head, my OC would look up to oracle as like her own mentor like Batman, or even like an older sister, because she's been able to go to her to talk about things that she couldn't with other people she knows. She can sometimes be a bit on the brash side, as well as a bit daring if the mission calls for it, but she keeps a level head and looks out for her fellow partners.

When she's not in costume, I imagined her to be a kind and friendly person, with a bit of sarcasm here and there. She's tough when she needs to be, but still has that feeling of being vulnerable at times, especially when putting on the cowl and cape on some nights. But she gets through it regardless, because it's what she agreed to do.

Some iterations I've made of her have her be simply a friend of Barbaras that knew her secret as being Batgirl, and helped her decrypt and code things, while other iterations had her be adopted by Bruce and being a close friend to Babs. (I haven't made a concrete past/backstory for her yet cause.)

For this RP however, I was thinking she would have been involved with the Wayne family and would have known Jason, the two possibly butting heads but being like in a love/hate sort of friendship.

That's all I've got for now though. D:

Any help at all would be appreciated, my mind is so jumbled that I can't really grasp a concept that would work well.

Since it's already going around the same direction as the original UTRH storyline, I'm deciding that we won't be going with Jason's story through Arkham Knight. Oh, the inclusion of villains such as Ivy would be really interesting! Too many villains to name that could be cool to see (Harley Quinn has potential considering the theme), but here are some canon's if anyone comes into this thread and needs help: Jean-Paul Valley (Azrael), Stephanie Brown (Spoiler/Batgirl 4), Cassandra Cain (Black Bat/Batgirl 2), Katherine Kane (Batwoman).
