Personality: Curious: Alice is and always has been curious, her strange beginnings led to a shortage of human interaction and left her wanting to learn more. So she tends to watch and ask questions, go where she may not be meant to, explore new places, and just find things she doesn't know or understand to much to resist.
Protective: Alice is still a war ship, or at least part of one. Her mission always was to protect those that created her, and though that mission changed a bit along the way. Alice has and always will protect her crew. Even now she stand watch over the dead and protects her ship and the few beings she has collected on the lonely planet. It is one of her core driving forces and she will do what it takes to continue this endeavor. So if your her crew, anything after you will have to get through her and a war ship to harm you.
Intelligent: Alice's mind works at a much higher rate than a normal humans. Using more of its potential it allows her to not only link with the ship, but take in any data that comes her way. This has cuased her to become exceedingly intelligent and able to recall data in a moments notice.
Strange: Alice is of course unlike most anyone you would meet, after all she is a living avatar to an ever evovling war ship. She feels as if it is simply an extension of her and take offense when someone doesn't respect her (or the ship). She acts unlike most due to her upbringing and the life that followed, being along for so long as not helped her social skills. So don't expect her to ever be predictable.
Linked: Alice is linked with the Infinity, so much so it is an extension of her very being. She speaks as if it is her when it is brought up, and feels everything the ship does. Even being away from it for to long or having the link cut for whatever reason affects her in a negative manner. One may wonder if she would ever become free from the ship at all.
Open: Unlike most humans Alice has learned to accept people for what they were. She is open to a great deal of possibilies and experiences, and finds that people though flawed at times are amazing and should be seen as such. Though if you show yourself to be someone she dislikes Alice is not afraid to let you know it.
Strong Willed: Alice doesn't waver easily, she protects those in her stead with every last ounce of power she has. She does not simply yield to intruders, and has held fast to her mission and her people longer then most would think possible. The seeming feminine and frail at times Alice is a force to be reckoned with when pushed.
Caring: Over the years with her crew Alice learned what it was like to truly care for people. They weren't simply the people that lived with her or helped run her systems. They were her family, in the end they gave their lives to protect her, and she would do the same. Her crew is something and someone she holds dear.
Creative: A learning ship and a free thinking human mind can come up with some of the most interesting things. Further introduced to art and music by her crew and Captain before they passed away, the skills of expanded to show that she isn't simply some genetic being with now soul. Creative solutions and works of art show there is so much more behind those beautiful eyes.
History:I remember my first breath, they say it isn't possible, then again all of this was supposed to be impossible so what do they know?
Alice's life started before she was even really born, the war against the Dread had driven the human race to rush forward with their technological advances. They studied the beings and their ships with each battle. Scientist came together, breaching the moral, ethical boundaries and took the creation of life in their hands. Many contributed but the lead scientist Christen Robinson pulled their collective ideas together and then did what most wouldn't, he pulled the needed pieces from the very beings they were trying to defeat.
Christen went against governments in creating her, breaking laws and friendships that had been long standing relationships. But to him it was worth it, to him she was perfect. The finished product was well beyond its years, even within this century. They had never thought it possible to create one living being in such away, as if they were
constructing her before their very eyes. But no normal human would do, they pulled from the alien DNA and combined it with humans to create something totally different.
Alice as he named her due to her first bewilderment was born that day. Her first breaths were panicked and surprising, but the bright light and mumbled voices drew her attention. They expected her to be totally unaware, like a child trapped in an adult’s body. But again, she surprised them and had what seemed like storage of knowledge from some unknown source. This knowledge aided them in building the Infinity. It became quickly apparent that her mind and body were far more capable than any humans, the dying cells that would normally cause aging were replaced so quickly it was if it didn't matter. This attributed to her faster healing time, and ability to fight off infections or illnesses. She really was a truly surprising being, but that would not stop the Dread from coming, or the need to have Alice fill her true purpose.
The planet that housed the facility, she and the infinity were created at was attacked. They really stood no chance being attacked before they were prepared. What military forces were there reacted, the decision to activate Alice was made and the Infinity had its first flight. Captain Nathanael Archer took command of the new ship. The fight was difficult, and the facility was lost as the planet was overrun. But that loss triggered something within Alice.
The drive to protect activated her ability to take what she has learned and evolve the Infinity. Taking the derby of their fallen ships and those of the enemy ships as well, the Infinity had its first change. This adaption allowed for them to not only survive the encounter, but destroy the hive ship that had attacked them.
News traveled fast to the main worlds, the military commander endorsing its use gave the Infinity is mission. To fight through the enemies before them and strike at their home world. It would not be easy, but the crew, its Captain, and Alice left determined to accomplish the task set before them.
Each battle was more difficult than the last, it seemed the enemy learned nearly as fast as Alice did. But The Infinity and its crew always managed to find a way to survive. Fighting straight through to the very planet their enemy called home. By the time they reached this place the Infinity had become something far beyond their wildest dreams.
It had become a planet destroyer.
What they thought was the final battle left them weakened yet victorious. But when they sent word home, they weren't welcomed by a hero's call. The governments were fracturing, fighting had erupted between planets, and war among the people had begun. It seemed as if the moment they were free, they all began to fight over who would have control over it all. Then came what to do with the Infinity, some wanted it destroyed, some wanted it duplicated, but all wanted to control the outcome. Mixed feeling erupted through the crew, but one thing rang clear, Alice and her ship couldn't go home.
There was a choice made then, they would stay away, find some planet to call home keep the power of the Infinity and Alice away from those that would use it for their own gains. A small group was against this, and it was their traitorous act that led to their downfall. A small group of traitors set to take over the ship, the mutiny going horribly wrong and resulting in a massive explosion. It caused severe damage to the Infinity, damaged that echoed through Alice and sent her into a coma. The ordeal became too much and they were forced to crash land on the only planet near them.
The forgotten overgrown planet was drifting at the edge of Void space. The Infinity in such a state of disrepair, most thought she'd never leave the planet. Nothing but a skeleton crew remained as they tried to make a life on the planet. The exposure to the atmosphere, proving to be slowly poisonous to the humans, and caused their life spans to be drastically shorter than they should have been. Each one that passed was buried in the small clearing Alice had located. The Captain is one of the last remaining holding on for as long as he could, but eventually he too passed away.
Alone, trapped, in an area of space that no one with any real sense of self-preservation would ever venture to, Alice continued her mission. Pulling resources from the planet around her and the parts of the ship deemed unnecessary she began to repair the ship best she could. A few strange alien inhabitants became her only companions. Her eyes and scanners stopped looking to the skies hoping for more after about 50 years. Time ticked by and all she could do was wait....
