Failure to configure Windows

I don't know what happened.  When I went to bed my computer was updating with 116 updates.  I get up to turn it on and the start Windows normally menu comes up.  I tell it to start normally.  Now it's on a screen saying failure to configure windows, reverting changes.  It's been on that screen for 25 minutes now.  Is it broke?
