That's like calling the corporate history of Weyland-Yutani the story of Alien. The backstory isn't the story, it's part of setting the scene for the story.

The story is in the game, you just have to have sharp eyes to see it. There's the bite of '87 which one of the characters bite someone on though it never says why or who and the incident was swept under the rug. A night guard, dressed up as one of the characters, lured some kids back stage and murdered them and hides the bodies in the animtronics. The murder is latter caught but the damage is done.  Scott has said that either Phone Guy or Mike has some sort of criminal record and may have even been framed for the murders.

See, this is what I was interested it. Browsing Youtube comments, it was all fan theories trying to flesh out the story, and it was interesting. It's kind of the same appeal as Dark Souls story, just not as mind numbingly inaccessible and convoluted.

Also, by the looks of things, the phone call on night 5 isn't just reversed audio, so there's no clear decodings out there, but I did find one that manages to lift a few half sentences out of it. Depending on your interpretation of some of the words, it could imply the voice is that of a scientist or Freddy himself.

Another thing I noticed was that the security cameras clearly show cobwebs. This led me to speculate that Freddy's is already shut down, but what could that imply? I've seen a few theories, like that you're either the spirit of or the actual security guard who killed the 5 children whose remains animated the automatons. Somehow, they've brought you back here where you relive the same week over and over, listening to your own phone recordings. Golden Freddy is the only suit with no eyes and is never seen moving, always slumped, so it's implied that it's the suit you lured the children with. On night 5, you start to become aware that you shouldn't be here and check the heads in engineering, where you're finally stuffed inside of Golden Freddy, just like your victims were, and after a weekend of sharing their fate, you go right back to the beginning to do it all again.

It's an interesting theory.

I'm  surprised no one has mention the song playing in the beginning of the FNaF 2 trailer, London Bridge. Its a traditional English nursery rhyme that deals with the depredations of London Bridge and attempts, realistic or fanciful, to repair it. It could be referencing towards the owner trying to fix the restaurant , its reputation and may even refer to trying to repair the old animtronics since those who are familer with them can tell they got an upgrade before being dumped in the back room so it does make you wonder what may have happened.

No doubt they didn't take well to be replaced and its canon the new ones have been beating the crap out of the old ones every chance they get hence why the old ones are in such bad shape and drag them back into the back room.

In terms of RP it sets up a perfect Enemy Mine situation. Who's side do you take if any?

Speaking of the kids in the beginning. Has anyone come up with a theory on who/what that one puppet master like figure in the kids drawings could be?

It could be an Easter egg like Golden Freddy was knowing Scotts epic tolling or it may be a new animtronics  that is controlling\influencing the new ones hence the puppet master idea.  So far its just all theory.

While it won't happen in game, the puppet master leading the new animtronics outside the pizzeria and wrecking havoc. You can imagine how well the public would take that.

I tried to play this game while drunk, and it was a bad idea.

All the headcanon food the new game is providing.

I sit me or does the  old Chica looking like she's kind of crying for help in the pic we got of her in the vents? While the new ones appear to be hiding in the shadows and avoiding the camreas, Bonnie walks or rather limps down the hall in the open not bothering to hide or avoid the camera and walks right into the office. Almost as if he's looking for help.

The new bots are the REAL enemy; save us! We're running out of time!

Just for RP fuel, though it would be near impossible to find any one for it, what if the new ones are total perverts and have this sadistic cat and mouse game with them chasing humans and the old animtronics around

I notice that the 2nd game points out that the new animatronics' technology is tied into local criminal databases.

I speculate that this is meant so that the animatronics can recognize would-be sex offenders prowling the kids' place and alert the owners, but ends up tampering with their AI by studying the behavior of serial killers.

Another possibility is that an organized crime group finds out how to control the animatronics to remotely kill people, but that doesn't seem as scary due to the previous game's supernatural origins.

Just some theories.

Damn puppet is creepy as all hel.

One of the theories is that its the puppet the murdered the kids and stuffed them in the suits hence the 'giving them life' and its a malevolent entity. PG also mentions someone has tampered with the new creepy ass animtronics facial recognition programming and that they are becoming more aggressive with staff but are just fine with kid. And stare at the adults

The blue one, Toy Bonnie, has a case of rape face. The others may want to kill you but the blue nitwit wants to bend someone over the desk

It multiplied! Cover your butt and run for the hills!

Both?

They do have Toy in their names and creepily enough make me think of walking living sex toys as if there's some twisted company that makes them for said purpose

I think I know what is up with those scenes of “you” supposedly being in the Freddy suit onstage with Bonnie and Chica that appear after you complete every night. What if this is a flashback of the murderer hiding in the Freddy suit? Because it seems after every night this scene shows Chica and Bonnie growing more and more suspicious of you.

So what if you are going to be seeing things through the eyes of the murderer of the five children?

That and the creepy as puppet shows up and STARES at you like it knows

I don't know the stage looked like it was actually part of the pizzeria from the first game. Honestly after going by some of the death minigames as well...that puppet or marionette may be playing a larger role. My money is that puppet is the one actually forcing the animatronics to kill people. I really wouldn't be surprised if its what influenced that man to commit the five murders.

Now please enjoy some videos I found for this thread :)

Phone Guy mentions not liking the Puppet and that its always thinking and that it can go any where. What if Phone Buy was the Man in Purple? He talks like someone looking in as in he's high in the chain but he's not in management and referrers to the others as staff  so he may be the former security guard. That and he's always hesitant and stutters a lot as well and makes light of the danger. There's also the possibly that there's more then one killer. The first killing happened at the dinner and continued from there. Here's a sick what if, what if the Phone Guy in the first game is the killers kid and he's been continuing his fathers work?

That is an interesting theory, it would make sense with a theory I heard recently concerning the puppet. Some believe the crying child killed by the man in purple is the spirit haunting the puppet. If you look at the puppet's face it does look like tears are sliding down its face. Maybe the puppet was the first victim this whole entire time.

In the mini game that takes place in the diner the one child that was the first victim does resemble that creepy as hell puppet. Its been speculated that the child might be an orphan but I think the child may simply be one who has a troubled home life and the dinner was a familer comforting place.

I know every fandom has its nutters but damn.........FNaF has some real nutters. To the point they verbally attack any one who does't agree with them or doesn't like ship the smae characters they ship or dare ship a female OC who's well thought out and well done with the fox.

They are even going ape over rumors of the FNaF 3 trailer being released some time today when its painfully obvious it won't be

Is it... totally normal to lose your shit and quit before the phone message on the first night finishes, because I totally fucking did. I kept looking at the screens in the halls, and NOTHING WAS Happening.

I freaked and pounded the escape key. V__V

This does not bode well.

EDIT: I can't take it! I can't! I mean, I don't see anything no one's moving, but I freak the hell out, always looking at the cameras, can't just... do it! T__T *Shivers*

EDIT: Bib-chicken moved! Bib-chicken moved! The camera cuts out and so I'm scrambling to locate the one that moved and it's in the freaking dining room stairing at the camera mouth agape! *Cries* I'm never setting foot in a God-damned Chuck-E-Cheese again!
