"Think Ghostbusters... but Sexier!" ~My friend, Pipe

Okay this is just an interest check so far, but I am looking for 3-5 people for a small supernatural game. The premise is, all of you will be members of the Spectre, Lycanthrope and Undead Termination Team, or S.L.U.T.T. for short. Your goal is to drive out to locations where there have been reported 'Bump' spottings.

Okay, so the idea I had is the players will be either new recruits or founding members (as the team is fairly new) who are basically specialists in creatures of a mystical persuation.

Background: Thirty years ago, the entire planet was covered in a strange sight... small lights, almost like fireflies, began to fall from the sky the world-over. The Starfall, as it became known as, had little effect initially, most people chocking it up to simply 'pretty lights'. However, more recently, people have started to change. Otherwise normal human beings who were exposed to the Starfall began to exhibit 'magic' powers, up to and including the ability to transform into some werecreature at will, limited and traditional Vampirism, even becoming full-blown undead. These are, by no means, the extent of the side-effects of the Starfall. The most notable side effect being that each person who exhibits these powers shortly go insane after initial development.

The governments of the world organized several taskforces, known as Spectre Cells, in an attempt to control the insanity that overcame those affected by the Starfall. These teams were sent in to assess the threat, and if one exists, to put it down. However, the Spectre Cells' jobs became complicated when modern science determined that the blood, bone, and practically every other part of these creatures, whom they began to call Bumps, could be used in beneficial medicine.

Which is where your team comes in. Headed by three siblings, the Spectre, Lycanthrope and Undead Termination Team specializes in the neutralization of Bumps, as well as the harvesting of the required objects. Your team may get a call for any number of strange requests. Werewolf Blood to purge impurities from the body. Vampiris Teeth, which can be ground into a healing salve which can cure most skin conditions. Even the coveted Banshee Semen, which when correctly applied, is the world's most powerful aphrodisiac. (Hey... not all medical advances have to cure something or heal something... Natural Viagra, anyone?)

This is what I've got for a plot thus far. Any ideas to sweeten it?

I'm a big fan of silly acronyms so I'll at least keep an eye on this.

Seems like quite a few people are interested in the cheesie-Ness of it alone. That's a plus. Is this something we might want to try maybe fleshing out a bit more?

That might be a good way to go. I know I was thinking about a somewhat silly character.

Just so everyone knows, whatever characters I have will be minor or background characters. I want this to be more about how you, as the players, deal with a given situation and each other. Characters can be silly in a base, but I do want an understand of seriousness. Silly is okay, unrealistically silly isn't.

Oh yeah, What I had in mind was a super gung-ho action movie kind of gal. So she'd be competent, just her personality would be a bit over-the top.

Spectre, Lycanthrope, and Undead Termination Taskforce

I kinda like how that includes other kinds of creepy-crawlies. That could add more variety to the various misadventures

One idea I had... instead of Team or Taskforce have it be something like Tactician. That way SLUTT is singular. Then add Squad to the end for the collective name of SLUTTS.

"I'm a SLUTT and those people over there are the SLUTTS."

You guys are absolutely amazing. I love all of these ideas!

Ya know, I'll admit it was kind of a long-shot about the original name... but I like the new one, better!

@Oni: That kind of character would be super. If even we could fill all the niche rolls from something like this, a brainy person, the jokester, the goofy yet serious one... something like that.

Make sure you guys check the Original Post. New updates there. Again, excited for the interest this is drumming up.

I was recently pondering putting up a Ghostbusters style game, saw this...would love to toss in interest as maybe a hunter type (not like Supernatural hunter but more survivalist/tracker type) or total gun crazy intense girl, which might work better if we're going for a little cheesey, which isn't easy.

Would it be possible for a character to be a paranormal being themselves? Like could my guy be a lycan?

Hmmm, you bring up a good question, Jugg. PERSONALLY, if you do decide to do a Were creature, I would prefer not a werewolf. I think they're a bit overused, but if you honestly want to, think up a reason why s\he's not insane with the Starfall, then we can discuss possibles.

Still working somethings out in my head, but if anyone has any ideas, throw 'em at me.

I see it as the bumps have a aura that  can seen by my person. I thinking that my person would be mentally 18 and physically in the mid 20's
